Fantastic experience: I’ve been gone for awhile so I hadn’t been able to have my braces tighten in a long time but regardless of my situation with my teeth and what type of shape the were in,I was able to get help and work done on them quickly. Fantastic experience: LOVE this place! The staff was extra nice during my visit. Talked me thru the whole process of the extraction and also had convos with me during it. The assistant was talking to me the entire time which i appreciated while the dentist was doing the extraction. She also played music for me! Even tho they weren’t able to get the whole tooth out (because of my root canal) i was pleased with their service. They recommended me to an oral surgeon and got me in the next day to get the rest of the tooth out..

From the front desk staff with Nancy and Tracy, to the clinical staff with RDH Shelly, I’ve had the best experiences! I’ve gotten ortho done here as well. Proud of the doctors and staff for making this practice what it is. My teeth are phenomenal and I walk out each time feeling more educated on my oral health.

All four of my children have been coming here for their dental care, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we’ve received. We always feel welcomed by the friendly and professional staff, and they consistently make my kids feel comfortable at every visit. My two oldest currently have braces, and their orthodontic care has been excellent. The team always takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure we understand each step of the treatment process.

Negative experience: They lie to try to get money out of you. Went in as a new patient and you know most dentist have to go through those normal procedures when you're a new patient like imaging, X-rays, things of that nature. As I was leaving the appointment I was told I wouldn't have anything that I had to pay out of pocket for that date of service. I had two chipped teeth next to each other which were causing me issues the doctor claimed the only option was to extract and get a partial and later on in life to get implants. I agreed only believing the paper I was given on how much everything would be and what I would have to pay out of pocket after both of my insurances which was only $70 something dollars and some change. Except, months later I receive a bill saying I had to pay $500 something dollars and only showing one insurance. I called both insurances and they told me they both made payments. Best believe I wouldn't be going back to this place nor would I recommend anybody.

Fantastic experience: DR. Dave, n staff are really wonderful at the care that is provided. Straight forward as to proper care and remedies. The work we have had preformed at the office has left us knowing we were treated correctly. None of the dental work has failed. We leave with confidence.

Negative experience: Got braces from this place, my brackets constantly came off from the softest foods. First day of braces 4 brackets broke from white bread, and when I went to get it fixed, the woman that put the braces on had a bad attitude and would talk loudly about how I need to eat softer foods when I had already told her I broke it from white bread. This happens frequently, as one time I got bite blocks and I felt my teeth hitting the brackets and I told her that it felt weird, so she adjusted them and a day later my teeth bite the bracket when I’m not even eating, just stretching, and it breaks. I have had a horrible experience in this place, they don’t treat you with respect at all, just shoves metal tools in your mouth and have a bad attitude, and when you break a bracket or one comes loose, they will give you a hard time and start chewing you out as if it was your fault at all. Don’t go to this place. EDIT: I appreciate you responding with the same copy paste bs you do with everyone else, because you don’t actually care about feedback, just money. Look at all the reviewers complaining about insurance scams. It’s unacceptable

Negative experience: My experience with this dental office was terrible, I made an emergency appointment for my son because he was in pain the entire weekend and I was just trying to get him somewhere because his real dental office at the time had no appointments, and after reading the reviews I thought okay I’ll take him. When we got there the front office ladies were nice and courteous when we got to the back they took X-rays then we saw the dentist, he proceeded to say my son’s tooth was bad and needed to come out and that he had a lot of cavities he then examined my son’s tooth that was hurting him and took the mirrored looking thingy and tapped the tooth hard enough that I heard it hitting the tooth and my son was jumping he asked him did that hurt he said yes he then proceeded to tap the tooth and push on it which I could see was hurting my son. Very rude when telling me what was going on with my son’s teeth. We left there with nothing being done but them giving me e referral for another dentist that is downtown and did not accept insurance cash only. Well needless to say that was not acceptable for me . Me being the Mom I am I got very upset said thank you took the referrals and the X-ray. I decided to try his real dentist office again luckily they had a cancellation and was able to see him , got there gave them the X-ray told them what the other dentist said , he said he doesn’t have a lot of cavities the tooth that was giving him pain he fixed gave him something for the pain and that was it. My son felt better after he left. I will never go to ADVANCED DENTAL AGAIN. This is just my experience there and I thought it may help someone else.

Fantastic experience: Did not even have to wait. Knowledgeable staff. Great happy friendly faces. Nonjudgmental. I put off seeing dentist for years and years. They are very patient and understanding of life circumstances. Pain? What pain? As someone who never went to dentist due to phobia it was a great experience.

Usually going to the dentist is an arduous affair for me, but I was put at ease immediately. The office is clean and easily accessable. I will definitely be going back for all my dental needs.

Negative experience: Dentist are incompetent. I’d check to see if licensed to practice. Barbaric. Horrible work and extremely inexperienced. His own staff told me to go elsewhere. They promised me a refund for such horrible experience. Tori from Great Lakes Dental was rude to insurance agent . Office manager Nancy Rivera met her after my contract was written up added $1000 .She insisted I was Hispanic. !! So inappropriate and unprofessional Place is filthy and a corporation,,, . All about ripping patents off fast careless treatment . I did get partial reimbursement $1700 because of burning my gums . Sores galore . Dave is dentist went against plan I had already was told . He threw my partials and told me I should have gotten implants. If he can’t do simple procedures Definitely would NOT trust him to work on ANYONE!!!! Still awaiting INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT. as promised by Nancy and Tori . Was told to get legal advice. Will see if I get $$$ back as written by both ladies ..

Negative experience: This is an unfortunate review… My boys have been coming here since they were babies (10 years) and we have never had an issue. However, when it was discovered two years ago (2022) that my now 9 year old had a small cavity on his baby tooth, we were told they would “keep an eye on it.” Fast forward to July 1st 2024, he had a routine cleaning and X-rays. We were told everything was good and we left. 2 weeks later I brought him back in because even I could see that the tooth with the cavity didn’t look good. At this appointment, we were suddenly told he would need a pulpotomy and the infection had spread to his nerve. I regret keeping my frustrations at bay because this was completely avoidable and flat out negligent. We are scheduled with a pediatric dentist who confirmed that he should have had the cavity filled when it was discovered and we wouldn’t be here. Sadly, we will not be returning to Advanced Family Dental as I’ve lost all trust. This is a reminder to parents to ask questions, trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to advocate for your child despite the trust you may put in those who should have your child’s best interest at heart.

Fantastic experience: They new who I was upon entering the waiting area. Friendly and took care of explaining everthing and steps to help correct issues.

Negative experience: While making my appointment I confirmed my insurance with plan number and member number. This was accepted and appointment was made. Fast forward a few days to day of appointment and I receive a phone call saying my insurance is not accepted. It was three days ago, but now it isn't somehow. Now, I just wasted three days of pain that I could have been finding a different dentist. If these people can't even figure out what insurance they accept while making an appointment I don't really trust them with my dental care. Good luck with this place

Negative experience: Extreme pain during an extraction and was denied a prescription for pain medication. I felt like I received either the wrong amount of novocaine or none at all. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone!

I think i have been here 4x’s and they are always so pleasant when checking in and my last 2 visits have only been for cleanings which were handled by hygienist Shelby Fox who is excellent and her assistant who was also so welcoming. Im sorry I had forgotten her name. Advanced Family Dental is the place to go in my book!

Negative experience: Awful and corrupt place. Did a basic checkup with scans and asked if I would pay out of pocket. They said no it’s all covered under my insurance. They sent me a bill anyway and when I refused to pay they sent it to collections. Hope the IRS gets you for your corrupt ways. Edit: I appreciate you reaching out with the generic copy and paste response. We’ve talked and you sent me to collections with no explanation. You obviously don’t care about actually doing anything and I hope anyone that reads this review knows they’re full of it and won’t actually help in any way.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Admin is such a great doctor! Came in for a cavity and the process was painless in every way. Literally almost fell asleep. 10/10 ⭐️

Fantastic experience: A time for my appointment fit my needs. The staff were ready on my arrival and I my insurance was checked for coverage and copay prior to the procedure so that I knew ahead if I wanted to procede.

Negative experience: Originally went in for significant mouth pain. Took 50 xrays and told me to come back for another appointment for a crown. When I went back a week later and still in pain, dr. Said he would need to refer me out for a root canal (took the afternoon off for appt so was obviously upset). Endodontist did root canal, went back to advanced for sizing and temp crown. Temp crown fell out 4 days later, called and emailed office 4 times in 3 days, finally got a call back 2 days later…..was told i can pick up a kit at drug store to get it back in, or schedule appt. Broke temp crown trying to put it in myself, called and emailed office, no response. Amazingly, i get 35 reminders via text and email starting a week out from my next appt with the reminder of the $50 cancellation policy. Showed up for my permanent crown install and it didn’t fit. After filing the crown and another tooth down, dr cemented it in and asked how it felt. I said “not great” and he said give it a few days. On 1st appt, dr. Never introduced himself, nor did he ask me any questions. I should have went with my instincts and not have gone back. Only reason for 1 stars instead of zero is he referred me out for the root canal. $400+ out of pocket after insurance, but glad i did not let advanced do it. Staff seemed friendly and almost apologetic for dr….not good. Over $700 out of pocket, 4 visits, and < great results.

Negative experience: I was a new patient to this company. The first date that I came they rescheduled my cleaning saying that they did not have enough time after already completing exam and X-rays. When I come back for the cleaning, the hygienist I had did not give many breaks between passes and could clearly tell I was struggling to breathe. Even after telling her to give me a sec, she kept telling me to open my mouth and trying to still shove tools in while I’m catching my breath. I told the front desk when they scheduled me for the next appt that I do not want her. I then go to my car and look in the mirror at my teeth to see she left blood all over my cheeks and chin. So then I call to speak to the office manager about this who of course is not available and never returned my message even now more than a week and half later. Unprofessional in every sense of the word. Guarantee I won’t be returning. And noooo I’m not interested in calling back your office to discuss, like you say in all your generic responses. I did that already and you clearly have poor customer service.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. Wisdom tooth was pulled. Less than 10mins it took after Novocaine settled in. Great job!!!

Positive experience: I love all of the staff. However, I don’t like being treated by Dr. Dave. Anytime I tell him an issue that I’m having he tends to arrogantly blow it off like I don’t know what I’m talking about with my own mouth. I will probably be looking for a new dentist because I just haven’t had a pleasant experience with him. Everything else with this office is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Very kind and caring. They really did an excellent job with my 15 yr. old son. After they finished examining his teeth my 3 yr. old jumped in the chair and opened her mouth wide. She was ready for them to check her teeth. I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: So, I went to this dental office for a routine cleaning. I was told I needed a deep-scale cleaning. I was given a service plan with the price for the deep-scale cleaning. I specifically asked “Is this price the total amount I will have to pay?”, I was told yes. I agreed to the price and the service was performed. A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $142 plus change. I called the dental office to ask why I was receiving a bill and was told the insurance company didn't cover certain charges and that I should reach out to the insurance company to find out why they didn't cover the charge. I asked Tracy, an employee of the dental office. did they check the prices with the insurance company before they gave me the service plan, she said yes. I then asked why am I responsible for the balance and stated the dental office needed to call the insurance company to recoup the $142. Tracy became very rude and told me they would not reach out the insurance company and the balance was my responsibility since I signed the service plan. I responded by telling her the dental office ensured that the balance on the service plan was the “total cost”. That's when Tracy hung up the phone! I couldn't believe an employee would disconnect a client in mid-sentence. Tracy needs some customer service training. I would definitely not recommend this particular dental office to anyone. The dental office quoted me incorrect prices, charged me additional fees after giving me a written quote, and then was disrespectful when I questioned their billing practices. The hygienist did a great job but again the disrespect and billing practices need to be investigated, in my opinion. Andreana

Fantastic experience: It was great. Best dentist visit ever. Usually I feel pain. This time I felt a little pinch but not like before. Pulled out teeth with no pain of shots. Think I'm going to go back to him he is good.

Negative experience: Very rough. I asked for a specific dentist and they scheduled a cleaning on the day he was not there. I got the dentist that I did not like because he’s too rough and too fast with the check up. While checking my teeth after my cleaning, he scratched my lip really hard with the pick. They let me walk out with a glob of red blood on my chin. The cleaning lady was also very rough after I said one part was irritated. She kept scraping at it after flinching multiple times and I was near tears :( don’t take your kids here. I’ve been forced to come here since 15.

Negative experience: Dr. Abdul Aleem Dave is unprofessional and probably the most uncaring dentist I have ever met. My son came in for two cavity fillings and the dentist did not even go over the procedure or numb up my son enough even though he was in pain. He was scared and in tears the entire time and now the fillings have fallen out after less than a year. Then my wife came in for periodontal work only to find out from other specialists that she didn't need it. I do not recommend this dentist or office for any dental issues.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in there is professional, very knowledgeable about their craft. Customer service is awesome, and they make you feel very welcomed! I am one who DO NOT like needles, when it was time to get a shot he assured me it was gonna be quick and easy and it was! They’re very gentle when working on your teeth. I usually hate going to the dentist but their whole setup, atmosphere is welcoming! I would recommend anybody to choose them for their dental service!
