Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful five-star experience at Universal Dental of Orland Park! Dr. Mohammed was amazing. After taking my X-rays, he showed them to me and carefully explained what was healthy, what needed a little attention, and what I could do to maintain my overall dental health. This was the first time a dentist had actually walked me through my X-rays in such an educational and easy-to-understand way, and I truly appreciated it. He was friendly, thorough, and professional throughout the entire visit. He used both traditional dental instruments and the water jet during my cleaning, which I especially enjoyed because it felt like an extra massage for my gums. The receptionist was also incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone made the experience easy, comfortable, and positive from beginning to end. I highly recommend Universal Dental of Orland Park for their warmth, professionalism, excellent care, and commitment to educating their patients!

Negative experience: My husband, my son, and I have all been patients here. There has always been some kind of administrative issue, but this time it went way too far. My husband was initially told he needed a certain number of fillings, only to be told at the next visit that he suddenly needed twice as many—with no clear explanation for such a major change. On top of that, we provided our insurance information and were led to believe the office was in-network, only to be told afterward that it was not and that we owed hundreds of dollars. This is unacceptable. How can a dental office make such a drastic change in a diagnosis and fail to clearly communicate insurance coverage beforehand? We have completely lost trust in this office and will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ola is, without a doubt, the best dentist my children have ever seen. She is absolutely fantastic—so patient, gentle, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She has a wonderful way of making children feel comfortable and at ease, which makes every visit a positive experience. As a parent, she is everything you could hope for in a pediatric dentist. We’ve also had great experiences with the other dentists and staff at Universal Dental of Orland Square. Everyone is professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Ola and the entire team at Universal Dental to any family looking for exceptional dental care for their children!

Fantastic experience: I came in for a cleaning, and a wonderful hygienist named Naimah took care of me. She was incredibly kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat down. She explained everything she was doing, was very gentle, and made the entire experience stress-free. The office was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was outstanding. I truly had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back.

Negative experience: I went in to get four fillings done. The dentist and dental assistant were busy talking about vacation and listening to music during my appointment, and did not complete the job. They did two fillings, forgot the other two, and got the filling stuff stuck on the side of my teeth. I’ve had many fillings done before and these people are the worse I ever seen. They were very unprofessional and I would not go here again or recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Mohammed the hygenist was wonderful! I haven't had my teeth cleaned in 36 years, because I was afraid of going to the dentist. He was so compassionate and understood my fears. I would recommend him to everybody especially ones who are afraid to go to the dentist! Aniah, at the front desk, was so nice, friendly and helpful!

Fantastic experience: Updated review- still the best! Amazing bed side manner from the doctors to the front desk to the dental assistants! I just went in today for a cleaning. First of all they were able to schedule me within my first time calling for that day! It was really awesome. The woman who answers the phones was also so nice to talk to and reassuring when I called panicking. As soon as I went in I noticed it smelled really nice and all of the clientele was different. It was very clean and everyone seemed welcomed! I was called back pretty quickly and the woman who did my x rays was personable and really nice as well. She was quick with her x rays so I wasn’t obnoxiously gagging everywhere. The man who cleaned my teeth was awesome! He was quick. He wasn’t rough at all. He listened to every concern I had and question and had an answer for every single one! He didn’t make me feel bad about my teeth health whatsoever and actually made me feel better about it! Walked away with better confidence and reassurance and some shiny chompers to go eat lunch with! Staff is totally awesome and has the best bedside manner I’ve personally received! THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE! Only semi hard part was finding it was a little bit on the tough side! (Go in through the urgent care and back down the hallway!)

Negative experience: DANGER: Avoid Universal Dental at all costs! My recent experience was a nightmare. Despite clear X-rays showing a severely infected tooth, the dentist recklessly proceeded with an extraction, pumping me full of excessive anesthesia. The procedure was a disaster, leaving me with debilitating headaches and complications. What's even more appalling is the clinic's brazen admission to a "trial and error" approach to patient care. This is not medicine, it's experimentation on unsuspecting patients! The lack of accountability and blatant disregard for patient safety is staggering. Don't risk your health and well-being at Universal Dental. Their negligence and incompetence are not worth the gamble. Take your business (and your teeth) elsewhere.

They made my daughter feel comfortable and the removal took place same day. My daughter did not flinch. The staff was so friendly and supportive through the process. Fantastic experience: Due to circumstances, it's been a long while since I've been to the dentist. Today I went in for a typical cleaning. The staff was exceptional and accommodating. I was given x-rays and a thorough review. The cleaning and polishing I received was transformational. As well as the guidance towards maintenance, upkeep and dental hygiene. My doctor was patient, kind, professional and passionate about his practice HE went over and beyond to over accommodate my situation and made himself available to fill my cavities the same day. 5star review, I'll be back in six months for my routine cleaning.

Fantastic experience: This is genuinely the first time I’ve had a good experience here. I was hesitant about coming back for this appointment, but wanted to see a dentist asap. I usually check in early but don’t get taken in til 30minutes after my appointment time. But today I checked in early and was done before/maybe a few minutes after my appointment time. I usually have to ask for certain parts of my teeth to be cleaned better, but I didn’t even have to say anything today. He hit all the spots & went above & beyond. He was great at socializing & making the time go by much quicker. No complainta at allllll this time. This appointment has for sure been a great experience, and I will 100% be back and recommending to family & friends. I hope to see my hygienist again next time, truly the best!

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and crew, the doctor give you your time and very informative if you have any questions, the clinic is super clean and the wait time is very minimum and kids friendly, I bring my stroller with me and they don’t mind it at all, super nice to my baby, then even gave her a balloon when she cried! Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience for my 8 year old daughter! She has anxiety about the dentist, and Reem and Abdallah did an amazing job calming her nerves and keeping her comfortable. They were compassionate and funny. Dr. Mohammad has a soft and caring demeanor and really took the time to discuss her dental plan.

Negative experience: I’ve had nothing but bad experiences here. I brought my autistic son in there and the numbing agent wouldn’t work so they wanted to go ahead and do drilling and fillings anyway and they said The numbing agent would start working so it’s OK. They pushed me to do more than 11 fillings in one day. And because of that they didn’t pay attention to the individual teeth and I have lots of raw nerves exposed and now we have to find a new dentist to fix all the teeth that he’s supposedly already fixed. The last time I was in there it was taking so long because he was working on so many teeth that I told him it was starting to hurt and the numbing was wearing off and he said it was OK and drilled really hard on the tooth and I jumped and he stuck drill straight into my upper lip. Now I have to find a new dentist in a hurry to fix the teeth that they didn’t fully fix on me and my son.

Negative experience: Fraudulent billing BEWARE! I was a patient here 8 years ago and my insurance paid in full. Now the bill has appeared on my credit report, 8 years later. I have disputed, but I now need to track down my insurance info from 8 years ago.

Positive experience: I had a loose tooth and the doctor ended up wiggling it out and it feels so much better !
