Fantastic experience: I visited the Tucker location to have my permanent crown set. I was extremely glad that it was a painless experience. It was quite timely and did not have to wait long in the lobby. Dr. Starling and staff were friendly and easy to talk to.

Negative experience: I thought I had a great visit when I visited in June. Only to be hit with an unexpected occurrence the following month out of Nowhere. I didn’t even receive a courtesy phone call about the matter. When I called about the matter I was placed on hold for 30 minutes and had to call back . I only received an email with no accountability from the office about THIER mistake. I have been visiting Great expressions for over 10 years and the treatment of customers is getting worse. I’m appalled by the lack of compassion.

Negative experience: Not welcoming! I guess staff was still on lunch had food on the desk. And I haven’t visited a dentist in a while and I felt like they look at me like I didn’t have enough money to be there. After looking at the price I decided to say yes and the lady at the front was like I should shop around I told her money isn’t an issue. My husband told me let’s go! One rule new client be friendly you don’t know who we are! She did try to play it off but we smell hate from far away it’s sad I’ll never go back

Fantastic experience: As always, the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. The staff could not be more accommodating and professional. Would not entertain the idea of going anywhere else.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment online and received a confirmation email. When I arrived I was told the appointment had been canceled because the office required confirmation. Although the receptionist showed internal records of attempted outreach. I never received any calls, voicemails, texts, or follow up emails. I was told the appointment for that day was canceled and would need to be rescheduled after I had already taken the time to show up and wait to be acknowledged past my appointment time. This was extremely frustrating and completely avoidable and it showed a lack of respect for the patient’s time & poor communication!!! Patients should not be penalized for internal communication failures.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. They tried to force me to buy products and the receptionist and dentist were very rude. The Decatur location is MUCH better!

Negative experience: Worse experience I had they talk about the patient while they are sitting there very hush in what they do they don’t care about people in pain I have medial in my spine and I kept telling them that every time they put the chair down and they did not care so I did not stay for the whole treatment poor experience will never go back they are to get to nurses and doctors

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Great Expressions for about 15 years, at 3 locations. I had several dentists and hygienist and even a couple surgeries. I thought that they were all competent at their trade.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. I went there in February and they said I needed to get a tooth removed, made it sound crucial. I was never called for my referral finally in May I changed insurance company, and I called them to ask questions about how my new insurance would cover my dental work. She couldn’t answer and said she would email me. She never did. I emailed them. I never got a reply. I finally called to just get the dental work done regardless of insurance and was told now I can’t be seen until after the first of the year. Yet they made it sound like if I didn’t get this tooth removed my life was in danger. At this point, I’m just going to switch to anybody but them. Update- I continued trying to work with this company because I didn't want to start over, Two more times I was told I would get a call back, didn't. Know I am being told I have to have another consultation- a month from now at soonest and then get another date for an appointment. At this point I would rather have a dental school remove my tooth. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Negative experience: I had a appointment at 330 today and they was arguing with me saying I didn't have a appointment. I think that was very wrong. I just wanted to see a Dentist I was recommended but they don't have to worry about me calling them ever period .

Negative experience: I had an X-ray taken at Hugh Howell I had an X-ray taken at Hugh Howell Tucker's office, and besides the receptionist, Tony, yelling at me, the X-ray is unusable. It has a white shadow on the image that makes it impossible to read. I requested a usable X-ray, and they refused to give me one. Very poor service, the staff is very rude. I do not recommend this office to anyone. I spoke with the manager, and she also treated me rudely. Don't waste your money here. In addition to being rude and dishonest, they did nothing to provide me with a professional X-ray. They demanded that I pay for another X-ray, even though my insurance covers 100% of radiological images. I had to pay extra, and even then they asked me to pay for the tests again. The purpose of an X-ray is to be clear, not blurry, and for any PROFESSIONAL to be able to read it. I have the right to seek a second opinion and an additional estimate. I am not obligated to undergo treatment with you. You only gave me an estimate, and if I am not comfortable with the service, I can seek other care and receive fair treatment and adequate images in accordance with what I pay. They are my images, not yours.

Negative experience: DO NOT go to this dentist office. I scheduled a dental appointment as a new patient for a yearly teeth cleaning. X-rays were taken and the dentist came in and did an “exam.” After-wards, the dentist says that I am clear of cavities but show signs of periodontal disease which can cause bone loss and teeth falling out so she is going to schedule me for a “deep cleaning.” I asked, “no basic teeth cleaning today?” And was told that their hygienist is the best so we need to schedule a month out for this deep cleaning. My oral hygiene is VERY good. They straight up refused to do my annual cleaning and would only do this “deep cleaning” which is not covered by insurance. In 37 years of being alive, I have never experienced this type of practice. It was explained to me that it is their policy to only do dental exam for new patients. Despite many confirmations that I made an appointment for a teeth cleaning. They will use scare tactics to upsell you for an unnecessary procedure. Do a quick search and you will see that the chain dentist offices owned by corporations do this as their business model and it is not in the best interest of their patients. All they care about is your money bet on how educated you are with your insurance benefits. I was give a phone number to voice my grievance at their “Main office” and good luck speaking with a person. The voice mailbox is full. Do yourself a favor, save your money and time and find a dentist that will not upsell you for something you don’t need.

Negative experience: Here is cruel behavior from a doctor of Dentistry. Went to them to get false teeth. They took X-rays and sent in for approval to United Healthcare. United refused all their add-ons and approved only the false teeth. They made me an appointment for molds and on the day of it I was told that I wasn't a patient and had never been in their office. I don't mind telling you, I thought it was true. I worried for three days thinking I was losing my mind. You know Dementia or Alzheimer's. Until I got the notice from United Healthcare where they had paid for the consultation office visit. That was cruel behavior from a doctor.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff, especially Kita. She is a superstar. Every experience I've had at GE Tucker has been wonderful. I don't even stress about going to the dentist anymore. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This dental office has given me a different perspective on going to the dentist. I was scared/nervous before because of my previous experiences at other offices. However, I went last week for a new patient exam. The ladies Ms. Doreen & Ms. Torry greeted me with smiles, warmth and laughter. Ms. Deja took me to the back and assisted with prepping me for the doctor, she was great company. Dr. Starling came in and was very informative, nice, and although they were slammed with appointments; she didn't rush our conversation. Dr. Nina came in and was very polite and informative as well. I scheduled an appointment for the services they recommend for the following week which happens to be today. I was pleased last week with the service but wanted to be sure that it was consistent and IT IS. I overslept for my appointment today, it was easily rescheduled to the next hour with no attitude, very understanding. I went in today and received the same energy from Ms. Doreen & Ms. Torry, gave me great start to the morning. Ms. Kita took me to the back to prep me, she was amazing. I expressed I was nervous and she took that seriously she went to get me a stress ball. She ensured me that I was in good hands, and made me feel comfortable. She also informed the doctor of my nervousness which I appreciated. Dr. Starling came in and performed the procedure so well. I'm no longer afraid of being stuck with a needle, so gentle! Dr. Nina came in and did my cleaning she was amazing, I love her spunk. The ladies checked me out and sent me off with laughter. This office is amazing, BOOK THE APPOINTMENT!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Starling was very patient with my difficulty opening my mouth wide and having a hard time holding my tongue out of the way. She also gave me a 5-10 minute break, which I'm sure she needed also!

Negative experience: If I could, I would rate this dentist a zero. I’ve had nothing but issues since I’ve come here. For starters when I got my cleaning, they cleaned a wisdom tooth that needed to be Extracted. This caused extreme pain while I had to wait for my extraction appointment. I informed my dentist that I had a sensation to coldness on a top right tooth and was advised she couldn’t see a cavity, after the cleaning she could now she the issue. So that’s another problem. I have they don’t believe what you’re telling them, You feel within your own body. On my left side, there was a tooth that was decaying so she decided let’s save it by shaving the tooth down and puting a cap on in it instead of just removing the tooth. Now I’m sitting here with a swollen face and an infection on that same tooth she was trying to save in my mouth, and she’s now telling me to do a root canal on it. Like are you dumb? I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Negative experience: DO NOT go to this location. I went for a cleaning and there is always someone in training taking your x-rays, as my mom also said the same thing about this place. She got all these x-rays wrong so after almost 2 hours the doctor says that we have to do the x-rays again, making it seem like it’s my fault. I did not do the x-rays and the exam that comes with the cleaning service as I told them it’s been too long already and I left. I’ve been an existing patient at this location and I’ve always have had an uncomfortable experience. Even while getting my crowns done after a root canal, the doctor is really harsh with her hands and doesn’t know how to be compassionate. DO NOT step foot into this location. Go to James Ball for Root canals at Lawrenceville instead.

Fantastic experience: This was a great experience for me! For someone who has had bad experiences at dentists before, I was skeptical at first. But they truly made me feel at home and welcome! To the front desk to the hygienist, everyone was so friendly! Special shout-out to Ketia, I loved her energy so much! This will definitely be my go to dentist!

Negative experience: I wasn’t happy at all they made me sign a form with different price amounts and charge my credit card more I was trying to explain to them why you do something like that’s scamming people . I will contact a lawyer and show him the paperwork to see how I could get my money back . Was a deep cleaning company not she did half of mouth so they charged me double the price I was told for .it was Nina her name .

I was not mentally ready but physically ready for the extraction to take place. The procedure was harmless and completed in a short time. However it was the team to comfort me with confidence that everything was go to be alright. Thank you

Negative experience: My initial check-up appointment lasted nearly two hours, which seemed excessive for a first visit. I also got a second opinion on the recommended treatment and ended up saving a significant amount by going elsewhere for a teeth cleaning. Overall, I felt like they were more interested in making money off me than providing genuine care. I won’t be returning to this practice.

Negative experience: Avoid unless you want the run around. My father was scheduled for a tooth extraction and was told the day off he needed a hold request from his PCP due to his blood thinner. Not outlandish, but his blood thinner is not one typically held for procedures. Still, we obtained the request like he was asked, but was then told they couldn't do the extraction since we had requested a graft to be placed (he plans on getting dentures in the future). I tried calling 3 times prior to his appt to have this discussion, no dice outside of "I'll let the dentist know." When we relented and agreed to do the extraction like they originally wanted, they still declined and said they want to send him to the downtown office. So why schedule him twice and have him come back multiple times? Poor communication and coordination from their office, only to leave my father with his bad tooth and still in pain. Multiple visits just to be told to go elsewhere feels like a money grab.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the dental hygienist during my cleaning today, she was kind, gentle, and very professional. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave to me.

Positive experience: First time going to this location and my appt was at 9am didn’t get started until 10am I do believe it was confusion about my appt scheduled though. I will return to get my teeth cleaned hopefully its not a long wait again.

Negative experience: I would not recommend coming here. THEY ARE SCAMMING THEIR PATIENTS. This was my first and last time at this location. They recommended me a deep cleaning and said my teeth and gums were in bad condition. Which I highly doubted because I go to the dentist every 6 months. I did not get my cleaning done and wasted over an hour at the office sitting doing X-rays. They were not friendly and acted like I was strange for not agreeing to their charges. I went to a different dentist office for my cleaning and they said my teeth were fine and gums looked healthy. Did my normal cleaning and did NOT recommend a deep cleaning. So clearly this Great Expression is just trying to milk your money. Do not go here unless you want to get scammed.

Negative experience: Good location. Regular staff seems friendly. But 1 person, I'm guessing is the office manager, was rude and demanding. Evasive about plan, and what services I could expect. I was and am looking for a dentist that specializes in cleaning. I asked questions and was told that I could, maybe, we don't know, expect a cleaning on this visit, depends on insurance. I SPECIFICALLY EXPRESSED a need for a cleaning. I came for the appointment which took 2 hours, but wouldn't you know it, NO CLEANING. They rude girl did provide a treatment plan that I could not read until I got home. The cost was excessive but since it was a few years since I had one, I was going in. There was "no deduction for the insurance." I said okay, but it wasn't. The next day I receive a text message from another "Great Expressions" for an appointment with them. I called them and the rep explained that I would need to be treated there as well? I listened to the reasons and at the end, decided that I was being scammed. The first "Great Expressions didn't say anything about sharing me with another "Great Expressions". What is going on in this industry? No longer medical care, but a profit driven franchise maybe.

Fantastic experience: I want to say I am so grateful for Keisha and Dr. Saad! We (my daughter) was in an accident which lead to some dental pain. Given the situation they not only fit us in, in a timely manner but were super kind, courteous and down right amazing. My daughter ended up needing several front crowns. Her temporaries are beautiful and they got her right as rain for her senior night! Huge thank you again to Dr. Saad for his knowledge and skill and to Keisha for her constant unwavering professionalism, talent and kindness.

I didn’t get her name but the nice lady at the front desk taught me things I had no idea on regarding my insurance. She was a joy to talk with and they make sure you know and understand that everything down to pricing, your X-rays, etc. The nice lady who did my x-rays, I did not get her name either but she was fabulous as well. Highly professional and comfortable joyful environment. I have found my new home dentist and I highly recommend!
