Negative experience: BE CAREFUL! Be sure to check your EOB because this office is known for over charging and not refunding the overpayment. I have been calling Cynthia for a year about the overpayment and she will not return my call so now it's time to file a complaint with the attorney General and the Dental Board and anyone else who will listen. I gave two star for the dentist because she was good but not for the almost $200 extra I was charged.

Negative experience: So, I initially visited this dentist office with a female dentist. She was incredibly kind and patient. She applied the numbing gel because I was hesitant about getting a shot. She was understanding and friendly throughout the procedure. However, during my second visit for a deep cleaning, I encountered a male dentist who was extremely rude and impatient. I expressed my reluctance to receive the numbing shot, but he proceeded to administer it anyway. As a result, my mouth and lips were tingly and numb for the entire day, despite my insistence. I had to go to work, which was frustrating because I had been perfectly fine with the numbing gel from the previous dentist. I was told the lady no longer works there so I would not recommend this dentist because he was extremely rude and my gums was bruised after his procedure

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience here today. At my first cleaning 6 months ago, the doctor suggested I consider getting a crown at some point in the future. Today, it turned into a hard sell. He suggested I schedule it. Then, when I asked for an estimate, including what my insurance covers, he came over with a printed copy to review. He then asked me to sign it, and I asked why. He said they needed to protect themselves by providing that I had received a copy of their recommended treatment. I read the fine print, which basically said that by signing, I was consenting to treatment. I told the doctor I wasn't about to sign anything; all I wanted was an estimate and his logic made no sense since he had verbally suggested this treament six months ago and not asked me to sign anything then. He got flustered and thought he had printed the wrong form and then said he'd have to speak to his manager, who was not onsite today. I almost got up and left but decided that since I was already there for a cleaning, I may as well have them clean my teeth. I have never in my life had a dental practice try to pull something like this on me. I guess they think their clients won't read what they're signing? And then he wouldn't leave a copy with me, so I have no physical proof of what he presented. It was ridiculous. No one wants to be pressured by their dentist to sign anything committing to paying $4,000 for a crown. Four years later, and here we go again. I had an appointment on January 29, 2026. They charged me $237.52 because now they think they know how to process your insurance claim in advance of your insurance company doing it. So, they get your money up front and make it virtually impossible to get a refund. Six weeks later my EOB from insurance says I owe only $88.28. This company then stonewalls you. It's been two months since my first discussions with Cynthia Rhinehart, regional director, who just lies to your face. First she said it would go back to my credit card in 2-3 days. No. The next time I called she said we had to complete a refund form, which she never did. The third time I left a message and she never responded. The fourth time, we called her from the office when I was there for a follow up visit. No reply. Nothing in my file about the refund request. She has absolutely no idea how refunds work because it's not her job, but she pretends she does. So, beware of this company and virtually every other dental practice in the Atlanta area these days. Their goal is to convince you to pay up front so that they get your money long before the insurance payout is made. And then they make it really really hard to get your money back. Total scam. I had a similar experience at Edgewood Smiles Dentistry, where they tried to collect $1800 up front, and I just said no and walked out. They were a little shocked because most people aren't bold enough to do this an incorrectly assume they can actually trust their dentist. Why? It's a business just like any other, and these days many are owned by venture capital firms who force them into unscrupulous business practices while smiling to your face.

Negative experience: I visited with Dr. Sabbagh and Dr. Moledina and both of them were very professional, kind and efficient. I honestly wish they worked somewhere else because I’ll never go back to this office or any other in the franchise. The billing/insurance is a complete nightmare with this company. I gave them my insurance on my first visit and of the 15 procedures they charged me for, they “estimated” only 1 would be covered and only at 50%. I knew my insurance covered more, but I was in extreme pain and they were unwilling to treat me without payment up front. I paid the $2K and I was promptly treated and that experience was great. I inquired about ortho services and they told me I had no benefit that they could see, even though I knew my insurance covered it. I followed up with my insurance and they assured me I was indeed covered for Ortho. I basically had to convince the front desk staff to contact my insurance to verify by benefit which should’ve been their first step. I later received alerts from my insurance that multiple claims had been filed for my first visit and they had been approved. My insurance had covered multiple procedures and required a lower negotiated fee for the other procedures not covered. For over 2 weeks, I have been trying to contact the office about the insurance payment they received. At one point I was told only a small amount was paid, then that I had no insurance on file and had to file my own claim, and then that a refund wasn’t available. They REFUSED to give me an itemized copy of my receipt but luckily I took a picture of the procedures and treatment plan, otherwise I would have no proof of what I paid for. I called corporate, the office I visited and billing/insurance. Ironically it has been like pulling teeth to get any answers! I finally decided to escalate the issue through my insurance, and it took them threatening an investigation before I was emailed a form for a refund. The form was prefilled with the wrong refund amount causing even further delay. I am STILL going back and forth about this issue. I warn anybody who is looking for a dentist to GO ELSEWHERE unless you are completely fine with paying 100% out of pocket AND having claims against your insurance for the same procedures. If you are a patient here, be sure to look over your charges and pay attention to what is being billed to your insurance, also GET A COPY OF YOUR ITEMIZED RECEIPT/TREATMENT PLAN.

Fantastic experience: My experience here with my 9yr old son has been nothing but great! The staff is so attentive, the wait times are very normal and the place is impeccable. It was very easy to book and they send you reminders which is helpful. (also they were the only ones working during the holidays). The Drs. are fabulous, very clear in their procedures and costs. My son had 2 extractions and left the place wanting to come back and that is wonderful. It was his first time with a dental procedure and it is so important for kids to have a good first experience so they don't feel scared around dentists! Thank you all so much for the good service all around.

Fantastic experience: We had an excellent experience at this dental office! The entire team was incredibly friendly and made my children feel comfortable right away. The appointment was quick and efficient without ever feeling rushed, which is a huge plus when bringing kids. A special thank you to the receptionist, Vanessa—she was so welcoming, helpful, and kind from the moment we walked in. We truly appreciate the great care and positive atmosphere and would highly recommend this dentist to other families.

Negative experience: Trash. The wait was one thing. So despite an 8AM appointment starting at 8:30, I understand how life happens and that things don't always go according to plan. All good. But that dentist! Dr. Imad Sabbagh. Friendly and chipper at first, then oddly, seemingly, got upset that I preferred to accompany my child while being seen. Following the hygienist (after cleaning), the dentist DID NOT perform the typical, more thorough examination. He simply looked down in my child's mouth and said "make sure you continue to brush", then sent us on our way. No gum inspection. Didn't check for cavities. Didn't discuss x-rays. Nothing. It was very odd. I later decided to call to request a new appointment for the examination my child should've received but didn't, with a new dentist but, "insurance may not cover back to back exams" so she has to call me back. Wild!

Negative experience: I can definitely see why this place has a 3 star review. They lack professionalism and proper communication. My daughter’s appointment was originally for 9:15am. I then started receiving confirmation messages a week before her appointment - ok cool. I confirmed it. I received messages back to back to back to confirm my appointment everyday after that. How many times do I have to confirm something? Then I received another message once again the morning off and noticed the appointment got changed to 9? Really? Since when? I wasn’t made aware of this by email or phone. We got here at 8:54 for her appointment since it’s now at 9- I had asked the front desk “was her appointment at 9 or 9:15” she said 9. I showed her the messages that kept blowing up on my phone. She proceeds to say “oh I don’t know why it says 9 on my screen” ok cool. WE WAITED 46 MINS TO BE SEEN! Be so for real! I work and she has school! Terrible terrible. I will be looking for another office. This is not it !

Her professionalism, integrity, and dedication to her patients are well known in the community, and we value the excellence she brings to pediatric dentistry. -Tiffany R.

Negative experience: I believe this office has several things to work on. I’ve had a total of 3 visits, and 2/3 visits were very chaotic, unorganized, and simply put, not a great experience. The first visit, I scheduled for my kids’ cleaning (due to our former dentist no longer taking our insurance). Upon arrival, I was there 15min early. I was given forms that I already completed and filled out online. The lady at the front desk was very rude and did not appropriately run my insurance, which caused a 45min delay. Once that was cleared up, I was not issued an apology, I was asked to reschedule, because it was an hour past the appointment time, and they were unable to see my children. Upon the second visit, I was quickly greeted, and the staff and doctor were great! However, I again, had to fill out the forms I previously filled out a third time. However, we were in and out with their cleanings, X-rays, and assessments. Ms. Cookie was our hygienist, and my son has asked for her several times since that appointment! She was very attentive, personable, professional, and explained the process each step of the way. The third visit, we arrived 15min early to our 9am appointment, with 2-3 families ahead of us in the waiting area. All of the families were taken back around 9:30 as a group, and then dispersed per the necessary treatment. We waited an additional 40min until my son was seen to receive his treatment. I encourage management to stop overbooking while short staffed. The staff are clearly overwhelmed and unhappy with conditions due to the workload and patience required to deal with upset people all day. The level of professionalism and side comments to patients and guests about their experience as employees is impertinent. Patients’ time is not considered, and it truly makes me want to find another dental office because it is such a chaotic environment.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. The office manager had the audacity to contact me to inform me they canceled my appointment because I missed three appointments back to back. Not considering the reasoning behind the missed appointments was bc of their system being down and unable to access any insurance information. They reduce to accept responsibility for their mistakes.

Negative experience: The worst experience I've had with a dentist. I've had nothing but issues with them, from not sending preauthorizations when they were supposed to, to making appointments for me and then going in and saying there was no appointment scheduled. Today was the last straw when they scheduled me oral surgery and did not tell me they needed my ride there with me physically before the appointment. I had to cancel and will find a new dentist. Negative experience: When I arrived at the appointment, they did not have the correct information from my insurance, and according to them, the insurance did not cover me for that day's appointment, which was false. After I called my insurance and was seen at the office, they made me put in my appointment for next year, which I didn't want, but they told me that in order to get out of there, I had to put it in. I will be traveling on those dates and I have tried to cancel the appointment but they won't let me. They told me the system doesn't allow it. But they did make me sign a document that says that any missed appointments I must pay for. Please don't go there if you don't want to have a headache.

Negative experience: If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I initially scheduled an appointment for my daughter back in June 2025 due to tooth pain, and since then, we’ve been rescheduled three to four times with little explanation or regard for our time. This level of inconsistency is unacceptable—especially for parents who must rearrange their work schedules to prioritize their child’s health. It’s extremely disappointing to experience such a lack of consideration. I strongly do not recommend this location. The East Point office has been far more reliable and respectful of our time. I truly hope this location improves its scheduling practices and patient communication moving forward.

Negative experience: When my children are finally seen, the care is good. However, the scheduling process is incredibly frustrating. Nearly every time I make an appointment, I receive a call saying it needs to be rescheduled. At this point, it’s become EXPECTED. It’s always one of two reasons: either the office will be closed or the doctor won’t be in that day. I take time off work specifically for these visits, and the constant rescheduling completely disrupts my schedule and causes unnecessary stress. This issue needs to be addressed.

Negative experience: Went to this place and was given such a hard time about my son’s insurance. I had it removed from system , what they asked and it showed terminated in the care source system with a expiration date and they still would not see him. They stated it had to not be on the care source site, the lady that actually worked at care source stated they dont do that for billing purposes and didn’t understand why this business was giving me a hard time. This was a first for me and her! I did not feel i was treated fairly here. The front desk lady made everything difficult. They would not even make any calls to the provider, she even stated they dont do that?! What?! I then called another location and tried to book an appointment and explained everything, she looked it up and said she didn’t understand why they would not see my kid. They were going to take me but thats not my location. I have never experienced this much frustration and disappointment in a business for kids. No effort was put forward to help only to not help. Negative experience: No issues with the actual dental staff but their admin did not do their jobs. My son has a cavity that needs filled and when we checked out I was told I would get a call after they checked on the cost with insurance and then we could schedule. A month went by without a phone call so I followed up. They then informed me they don't take our insurance. I asked what insurance they have on file and pointed out that insurance was incorrect (they had our secondary insurance not primary). They then asked what insurance we do have and was then told they also don't take that insurance either. (They do it's listed on their website and I doubled checked with my insurance). I told her I didn't understand and she told me I would need to call my insurance company and find another dentist. When I asked why I was not told this when we visited during which time I also told them they had the wrong insurance and why no one ever called me to tell me this information she replied "Sorry, we're new." Unacceptable.

Negative experience: Little girl brought us back from waiting room just to have us sit in a corner staring at the wall for a half hour by the patient chairs. Doctors and nurses ect walking past us not even putting us in the room. What was the point of bringing us out of the waiting room just for us to sit in another corner and wait to be forgotten about. Tacky. I'm never coming back here again.

Negative experience: Unfortunately Dr. Sabbagh was by far the worst doctor ever! He’s not very nice. He kept calling my son out of his name which was very unpleasant. He never actually explained anything. I didn’t know his name. I had to ask the young lady at the counter. She was the only pleasant soul here. Our room had roaches crawling on the wall while we were waiting. & a few dead ones in the corner. Just ew! The staff speaks down on you. I actually work in the hospitality/ customer service industry and this was by far the worst interaction ever. Why was everyone so mean :( please send your kiddos to a doctor that enjoys what they do!

Positive experience: Staff was nice. They explained the process my child needed during the visit. There was a lady at the front desk that was really sweet. She took the time to help us with any questions we needed answered. Note: come August 1 of this year they will no longer take patients with Medicaid as insurance.

Positive experience: Got to appointment early to try to get out sooner that doesn’t happen once like 3people go to back that arrived after I asked why haven’t we been called back she says because your form hasn’t been completed. I said so at what point where were you going to give me the form. She gives me the form they called my kids right back. Definitely not the best customer experience.

Negative experience: I received a text message on March 28 stating that one of my twins would need to be rescheduled for their appointment and they were sorry for the inconvenience. I then cancelled the other daughter’s appointment because it didn’t make sense to bring one and not the other as it is extremely inconvenient. I just called to reschedule both only to be informed that they have a new policy where they do not schedule siblings on the same day as they have experienced too many missed appointments by patients. This policy is not only ill thought but penalizes patients who aren’t canceling in this fashion and discriminatory to customers with multiple children and as a result I’ll seek another provider who will allow both of my twins to be provided services on the same day. This is absolutely ridiculous and it is almost comical to think that this office thinks parents with jobs are looking to do two separate visits when there are several providers in the area who are willing to accommodate a common request.

Positive experience: The waiting area and office is super clean. The front desk admin staff were very welcoming and friendly. My kids seemed to have had a very good experience with their first visit. I gave 4 stars because I find it very odd and uncomfortable that a parent cannot go to the back with their minor children while services are being performed especially for a first time visit for children have NEVER had a dentist visit. I was not greeted by the doctor, the doctor didn’t not speak to me in regard to the services performed or the concerns they had in regard to X-rays. I also filled out the medical questionnaire online before our arrival and still had to struggle to fill out paperwork for 3 children after already doing so on the computer at home. Overall the facility and the staff that I did get to meet were professional and patient with the questions I had and my children enjoyed this place better than The Dentistry for Children. I just hope for a better experience, the chance to supervise my kids while in the presence of adults they don’t know, and to actually meet the doctor we’re paying for and that are performing services for our 4 children. I mean I literally didn’t see the doctors face or know his name.

Negative experience: I schedule to have a cleaning. Got an appointment for April 11 at 12:30… 2 days before got a confirmation email for 12:00. Called to see why my appointment was adjusted and no one called me, no real answer but I’ll have to take 12 or reschedule. He it is April 11th and I’m at the office at 12. 30 minutes go by and I ask about my time… in about 10 minutes…. I go back at 1 and asked realistically what time can I expect to be seen. Was told IDK let me see… “you’re schedule to get fill ins.” No I’m not I’m here for a cleaning “well they booked you for a a fill in… let me let you see the doctor. The doctor hey why haven’t you been here in a year… because my last appointment had to be rescheduled 3 times… and the time before that my appointment was an hour late than y’all took an hour lunch and I could finally be seen but that time y’all wanted to reschedule me again. Im asking the dentist what my price would be and he told me and I asked what’s all included. He said fluoride… and I said I don’t want the fluoride and he precedes to tell me I have to get it and about codes… I know this is a lie because I got it as a freebie for the last time when they inconvenienced. It’s an add on service… the dentist proceeded to tell me that maybe that dentist isn’t the right one for me and I said yes maybe you’re right but as long as I only need maintenance vs having to pay 500 I’ll be coming here . I told him my maintenance here are free and he proceeds to tell me nothing in life is free and I had to pay something I must just not remember. I told him to look it up and he did and says oh yea you didn’t pay anything. I told him that the offices needs to get better because service has been bad these last two years. He took zero accountability and basically told me I shouldn’t come there. I asked if he had a boss and he said no, was he the owner and her said no, asked if I could take down his name and he said no. Come to find out he’s the owner. Dr. Imad Sabbagh

Negative experience: My kids have been going to A Smile 4 U since they were 2 and 3 years old we started out at the East Point locations then transferred to the Decatur location. I’ve never really had an issue until today I called to reschedule their appointment and Julia answered the phone. Not friendly at all kept cutting me off and very very rude. I asked for corporate or someone over her she explained to me that she’s the director of operations. That’s not good. You all need to find someone who’s a bit more friendly and understanding to answer your phones. My kids will not be returning.

Positive experience: After scheduling an appointment for my 2 year old, showing up early and waiting an hour and 10 minutes, I was told that he couldn’t be seen at that location and to reschedule him for July when a different location is open and available to take toddlers. Communication really could’ve been better because they knew he was 2 and could not take him when I filled out the form before the appointment time.

Negative experience: I should have trusted the MANY reviews that I read before making my daughter’s first appointment with this location. We were very disappointed with our first experience and will not be back. The dentist we saw was not understanding to our daughter’s exceptionalities and continued to push my husband to return to the lobby during her cleaning. The dentist just kept telling us we needed more positive reinforcement with her and felt like he had no clue that our daughter has sensory processing challenges even though I made it very clean when booking her appointment. The environment was NOT kid friendly like depicted on the website. We also had issues with scheduling like so many others had mentions as well. Very, very disappointed is honestly an understatement.

Negative experience: Terrible. Had an appointment scheduled for today. Drove 1.5 hrs to get there. Had multiple texts and email confirmations for the appointment. Closed….office is closed on Mondays, but no notification of this. Only confirmation text and emails for this day, time and location that I better be there and on time. Took off work, reworked other plans and drove 66 miles each way for NOTHING! Then just got this text asking how the service was at my appointment today . Very poor. Update - 1/16/2024 Had another appointment scheduled today. Although I think this dentist is great, I’m afraid I will have to pay out of pocket somewhere else. Same thing happened again today. Got all same confirmation emails and texts.Arrived for my sons appointment and got turned away because Tuesdays are ortho appts and not cleaning /dental appointments. I have no words . If this wasn’t the only dentist that takes my sons insurance, then I wouldn’t have even given it another try. Steer clear if you can.

Negative experience: Please do not send your children here for orthodontist needs. My son obtained braces early last year and it's been hell since. First off, I paid a down payment for the braces for them to only put the top braces on. Then after 4 months they put on the bottom braces after that I was placed on a payment plan. Mind you my son's appointment has been getting rescheduled every time an appointment was set due to them not having an orthodontist. For the past 5-6 mths they would reschedule and I have receipts so I was finally able to get him an appointment scheduled for Jan 16.2024 why the rep called back and said that he can't be seen unless a minimum of $500 is paid at the appointment. That's ridiculous I refuse to pay $500 due to y'all inconsistency and employment issues and I don't even know when he will be able to get back in after this visit!!! I will be finding my son another orthodontist. Please be careful with this office as they are very unprofessional and inconsistent.

Negative experience: If you have an appointment you will be sitting for 2 hours to be seen with no explanation. That is very unacceptable especially when you arrive way before your appointment time. I was told my appointment was at 9 but somehow in their system it said 930, I got there at 847 and waited for 2 hours!

Negative experience: I was treated at this office for a filling in two teeth. After the anesthesia wore off, I realized there was a hard layer sticking out of my teeth- like too much filling was applied. I returned and explained the issue and the dentist removed and replaced the filling. Now, it hurts when I floss and brush those teeth. I also have anxiety that whatever is causing the pain will lead to a more serious issue. I would recommend going here if you need a filling.

Negative experience: I’m starting to question my decision on coming here with my two boys it’s very unsanitary and the front desk has no communication skills whatsoever as well as the back of the house staff there’s nothing to entertain kids while they’re waiting and the tv mostly be off when im present there is one thing that bothers me the most and it’s when they do procedures parents seems like they are not welcome back there while they working on your child and dosing them with laughing gas I on the other hand, I would rather be back there with my child to see what they are doing. This may change my mind on bringing my kids here, it’s happened more than once and I do not like not being back there with my kids and just sitting in the lobby while they do whatever to their mouth edit ; they have a small play area ducked off in the corner by the nasty bathrooms

Negative experience: I think the best way to describe our experience with this place is to copy my emails into a review. Hope this helps save some other people the hassle. March 2023 (no reply) Hi Leslie - I'm writing in regards to our kids' orthodontist appointments - they've been coming in since early 2021 and we've had ongoing issues with appointments being rescheduled at the last minute, or waiting so long we had to leave. Once the phone line was down for weeks and I couldn't even call. I understand there is not a full ortho staff available, but the kids have missed classes, we're missing work, and they have both now had braces for much longer than originally planned. I get multiple texts confirming their appointments with the reminder that if we're 10 minutes late, we will have to cancel. Today they waited 1.5 hours and were never called, missing a half a day of school for nothing. My son is in 4 AP classes and cannot afford to miss this much class. We are 4 payments away from being done with this, and I would normally find someone else and move on, but at this point, we just want to evaluate their treatment plans and get these appointments scheduled and completed. We're not the complaining types, but after today, I felt like we needed to say something. If possible, I would love for someone to reach out to schedule their next appointment (that was not done today either) and fill me in on a reasonable timeline for getting their braces off. If we need to drive them to other locations with more flexibility, I'm open to that as well. Sept 2023 (no reply) Hi! I'm writing yet again (likely for no response, per last time I emailed- see below from March) to reiterate how frustrating the process of using A Smile 4 U for Braces has been. The beginning was great. They told us our kids would have braces for 12-15 months. It's been almost 3 years. Due to lack of communication, cancelled appointments, non-working office phone lines, not enough staff, my kids have missed more days of school than they should. For today's appointment, one of us parents had to miss work, pick them up from school, bring them to the Decatur office only to find out IT WAS NOT EVEN OPEN TODAY and they "forgot to tell the parents". Unreal. I mean, it would be if I didn't already know what a complete disaster this practice is. I get 47 reminders when the kids have an appointment. No one could send ONE to reschedule? Are my teenagers going to college with braces? Getting married with braces? I'm about ready to just have you all remove them and hope for the best. I know nothing will come of this email, like last time. But anyway. Thanks for the absolute hassle and inconvenience. At least that has been consistent.

Negative experience: They don’t allow you in the back with the children. And the children complained of the dentist and dental asst both yelled and are rude to them. On their next appointment I will definitely be back there with them. You can’t be a pediatric Dentist and treat children in such a manner. There are no HIPPA laws for parents to be with their children for comfort.

Negative experience: I was a patient sometime ago. I recall the initial appointment going pretty well and the first tech that assisted me was very nice and personable. When I met with the dental assistant, she made negative comments about my insurance and was quite matter of factly. When I returned for my actual cleaning, upon being seated, the tech that cleaned my teeth referred to me to another colleague by a facial feature of mine. She then began cleaning my teeth and she was fine but she talked nonstop about her abilities and knowledge in her field. She did not stop talking about herself and how good she was about what she does. I appreciate confidence but this was not that. Not to mention that my teeth did nit feel cleaned. I had no intention of returning and did not.

Negative experience: If I can rate this no stars I would!!!!! The front desk manager is the worse, she has horrible customer service. She is very rude, not willing to help. Only wanted to help when I requested another worker to help me other than her. They do not know how to see what is covered by insurance I always have to pay a balance when it is fully covered by my insurance. Once this year is up I will be looking for a new dentist ! Came in for a cleaning. After they canceled 2 times before. They do not have an adult dental hygienist . This is the worst dentist office . I suggest finding some where else to go because they are horrible .

Negative experience: This place needs to be shut down. Yesterday was the last straw for me. I’ve had my braces on since 2019, and have seen 4 different orthodontist. Each time my treatment changes. I can’t even count the number of times my appointments have been canceled and sometimes without notice. I arrived to my appointment on yesterday approached the front desk and told my appointment was canceled due to no orthodontist. Unfortunately I wasn’t notified and the front office clerk stated while she was out of office no one took the liberty to call and cancel patients. To say I’m frustrated beyond belief. I’ve tried numerous times to retrieve my chart so that I’m able transfer my service with no luck. You call in to get a call center and must if the time can’t assist you. They promise to have someone call you back it never happens. I know I can’t be the only frustrated person. If you don’t have the staffing and you can’t service patients closed down. My braces have been paid off since 2020 my treatment continuously is paused, thru won’t give me my chart and not to mentioned my power chain is hanging on my lower and I had to remove my top wire myself to to the rubber band popping and poking. I can’t get a new appointment until 9/29 with no guarantee there will be an orthodontist. Please I beg you do not go here. They do not value your time or care. They don’t deserve the 1 star. I would rate them a -0

sparkle sussewell Published on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I’m only rating 1 star because I don’t have the option to rate a zero. Very unprofessional and unorganized. My daughter was supposed to have braces in May, then it was August with a “we’ll follow up to schedule the appointment”. It’s September and I haven’t heard anything from anyone. I call once again to follow up and now in September once I escalate the call I’m told they’re not accepting new patients. With that being said I’m switching dentist and not looking back. UNACCEPTABLE!!

Tekcirc Elbon Published on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: I am currently a patient here. At first I would recommend this dentist. But in the past few months it has been so many changes. I was supposed to be in my braces for 6 months to a year and now it is going on 2 years. They have changed the days they see orthodontic patients which use to be Tuesday and Thursday. To Tuesdays now it’s to Mondays. I’ve also had an appointment in February, got a confirmation text, go to the office just to be told the no longer do ortho on Thursday. This is ridiculous to the point where I will not use them for my daughter treatment. I am still waiting for someone to contact me about an appointment. Had an appointment today, when I got there, I was told they didn’t have an orthodontist in office and they don’t except an orthodontist until September 29th. I will be looking for a new orthodontist and also let my insurance provider know the on going issues I am having with this office.

Negative experience: I should have listened to the other reviews that I read on yelp, but I wanted to see for myself since this office is conveniently located near my home. 1. The office was not warm or inviting for children, which surprised my because I thought it was a pediatric friendly dentistry. There were no toys, books, magazines, no soft music playing and nothing on the television in the waiting room. 2. The office (especially bathroom) was not clean! There was a full trash upon opening of the business, along with urine on the toilet. The front desk associate eventually went and wiped the toilet seat off, but it was just gross in there! Is there not a regular janitorial service that occurs? Floors were filthy. Windows and doors were filthy with finger and hands marks that looked like had been there for who knows how long. This can’t be sanitary! 3. Both of the women up front at the desk had coughs and were coughing all into their hands. No masks on, and were not taking care to sanitize their space after coughing. 4. My appointment for my daughter was scheduled to begin at 8am, but we did not get seen until 8:26am, which was inconvenient because I had to get my daughter to school afterwards in a decent time. 5. I had to ask to go check on my daughter for her cleaning, and when I went back, it seemed like the dentist was rushing, quickly trying to move to the next client. 6. Since this was our first visit, I definitely expected more. But there was no talk about my daughter’s precious dentistry or records (that we sent over prior but received no confirmation of receipt). 7. When I was waiting for my daughter, there was another patient who stormed out and said she would “never be back”…..lots of red flags for me on an initial visit. Just because this office takes Medicaid, doesn’t mean Medicaid patients want to or deserve to be treated poorly. We should not have to be subjected to unclean treatment and rushed appointments. I hope that they do better!

Negative experience: I have called for the past 3 days trying to schedule an appt for a cleaning. No one answers the phone, I have left several messages, texted the customer service number, hell I have even went as far as reaching out on Facebook. This is ridiculous! No one has gotten back to me at all. The crazy thing is you can't even reach out to the individual offices but have to go through one main line.

Negative experience: My children had appointments at 10:00 am and 10:30 am this morning. We stayed at the dentist until 11:30am they still were not seen. During our wait, I express that if they could not see my children in a timely manner to please be transparent because although I am physically at the office, I am still working and had a meeting that started at 11:30 am. This is unacceptable because if I was 10 min late, then they would make me reschedule, but when they are over an hour late. I just need to shutup and wait! That's not right, and someone needs to be held accountable. This was the worst dentist experience ever it seems like your patients' time means nothing to your company!

Positive experience: Ice never had a bad experience with dental service. However, trying to make an appointment is difficult. It took several days to get a call back. Fantastic experience: Love the dental assistants and hygienist at this location. New front desk receptionist is also fantastic. Negative experience: Please never schedule patients between the hours of 12 and 2pm. They had my child waiting for over an hour without saying anything to us. I started to see all the employees leave and had to go address the wait time. So if you just close you give your employees time to enjoy their lunch without your patients waiting and watching them leave and wondering how much of their time is being wasted in an office!

Shakela Andrews Published on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Do not waste your time. First and foremost they don’t care about the patient. Secondly, getting in touch with someone at the branch is literally like pulling a tooth. And third they are fine with doing stuff they should not be doing. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Tameka Smith Published on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: If I could give less than zero stars I would. This office is very unprofessional. First, will tell you they don’t take your insurance and offer in house payments. However, when they are proven wrong and that insurance will pay, everyone in the office (when they decide to open for business) claim they aren’t the ones to handle insurances ,or they will call you back ,or forward the information to the right person. There is also a very high turnover of orthodontists. Patients are not seen when they are supposed to be seen….two and three months pass before the patient can be seen. Appointments are cancelled and patient not notified and not made aware until they have left work or school early to be seen and show up to the office. I cannot speak of the other locations, just the one located in Decatur on Church Street. If this location doesn’t like my review,, then do better and feel free to contact me! I’m sure I will still be waiting for a response.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, DO NOT get treatment here. My child has been constantly rescheduled for orthodontist treatment since august. She has not had her braces tightened since August of last year. The company binds you into a contract where they take your installment for ortho adjustments monthly but refuse to provide adequately scheduled service. They switched 3 orthodontists in the last 6 months and there is new staff every time I try to speak to someone over the phone. I went in there to schedule an appointment a few weeks ago and people were literally sitting on the floor waiting to be serviced. One patient stated that they had been waiting for hours for their 4yr old child to be sedated and was told that they were wrong for showing up to their appointment early. Inadequate business. Terrible owner and management company. They shall crumble for their poor business choices.

I have been waiting for this for six months and guess who didn't show? That's right, my dentist. The whole place was closed. No call, no text, no "sorry something came up". THEN, oh man oh man, check this out...later on THEY TEXTED ME ASKING HOW MY VISIT WENT.

Negative experience: If I could give them -stars I would. I work in Dentistry and spent over a week trying to get a patient records from there office . After over a week of our office nor the patient was able to get anywhere. I was only able to get someone on the phone when I pressed the number to pay a bill, at that point the lady told me she only processes payments however could not connect me to any clinic and has no way of getting them on the phone directly either. So she can take a payment but not communicate with the clinic. I then asked for a corporate number and was told they didn't have one and if I wanted to complain call the clinic. Who doesn't answer the phone ... A total JOKE.

Negative experience: My daughter was scheduled on today 4/12. I arrive After an hour drive and guess what they are closed. I just received a call on Friday to confirm the appt which was scheduled since February. No reschedule, no text, no call, no email. This is not right and all you can tell me is that you’re sorry, I missed Work, my daughter missed school as well. No notice on the door, and now I cannot get customer service on the line.

Negative experience: Will not bill insurance if you have multiple insurances. I spent nearly an hour making this appointment because they had to get all my insurance information including both insurances. Then when I arrive I’m told they will not do insurance billing required because my medical insurance has a dental rider despite my lengthy conversation with the intake person.

Fantastic experience: This might be my first, maybe second google review ever. I almost went to Coast Dental, but my fiancé had a terrible experience there, so I ended up at A Smile 4 U. I was very nervous honestly, especially for someone who never gets nervous. And honestly, I can’t imagine going to another dentist after my experience here. This is gonna be a long one. I went because I am getting married and I had a filling in one of the teeth near the front. My entire life I have been embarrassed by it because it looked a little off colored/grey compared to the rest. On my first visit, I let them know that I’m not sure what can be done or if I have enough time to get this tooth fixed before my wedding in 40 days. I told them that I am only there for cosmetic reasons on that tooth. They took X-Rays and all the normal stuff and then spoke to me candidly. The dentist didn’t shame me for not being at the dentist for 15 years or make me uncomfortable at all. He honestly made a light hearted comment about how he did the same thing with not seeing the eye doctor for a long time. Right away, this made me feel at ease. They examined my tooth explained exactly what needed to be done for what I told them I was there for. Right then and there, they set up 3 more appointments to make sure I had it done in time and made me feel really confident that the worked I needed done on my tooth, would look normal and not be noticeable to people. After each of my next three visits, I went home to my fiancé saying “I love this dentist office, everyone is so friendly and seem to really care”. She will be scheduling her next visit there 100%. I haven’t looked through all of the google reviews, but if for some reason there are any bad ones, it was either a one off, a long time ago or just plain wrong. I wish I could remember all the names of the people who helped and worked on me, but I can’t find a “Meet our Team” on their website. I looked on their Facebook to see if I could see if any names were listed so I could acknowledge them by name but they were not, except Dr.H. Dentist: I believe his name is Dr.H. Young looking guy. Super nice. Makes you feel comfortable in a typically uncomfortable place. Made sure I was happy with the results (appearance) of my tooth and was willing to get a new one if I wanted. Felt like I could actually express my opinion and not feel judged or like he was bothered. Also, he shakes your hand every visit. I really appreciated that for some reason and it stood out. Dental Hygenist: Super nice, super friendly. Remembered me every time I came in. Offered to whiten my teeth in case the cleaning solution I had to use discolored them. Made jokes, but also was super professional. Perfect balance. Dental assistant: She was there every appointment working with Dr.H. Always remembered me. Super nice and friendly. Knew what she was doing. Made me feel at ease and went above and beyond. Possible dental assistant: My first visit, the woman who gave me X Rays made me feel extremely comfortable and was also super friendly and nice and we joked about cookies with another person that worked there. That was only time I saw her, but she set the tone and left an impression. Front desk woman: Again, super friendly, super nice. She went line by line on how much insurance covered for each thing I needed done, how much it would cost, if it was necessary or just recommended. She knew her stuff too, because I asked a lot of questions and she answered all of them with ease and made it comforting. I feel bad for not knowing all of their names and what their actual titles are, but, every single person I interacted with at this office was incredible. I couldn’t recommend this dentist/dentistry team/dentist office/A Smile 4 U location more. Hands down best experiences at a dentist that I’ve ever had. Wish I could invite them all out for a beer. I hope they read this because I want them and anyone who is looking for a dentist to know that you won’t regret putting your trust and the trust of your mouth in their hands. I can smile at my wedding now. Ty

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my daughter here since her very first dentist appointment and she is now 5 years old. She loves the dentists at this office! The wait is always a little bit long, however, she always has a good experience and says that she can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic experience: I came here for a wisdom tooth extraction and everyone was so nice and welcoming! Dr. H was very quick and efficient and all of the staff were very kind. I typically go to a different dentist, but I may switch over to this one because of the great experience!

Negative experience: The schedulers are understanding and dentist is good. But had an rude encounter with the front desk staff. They turned away my client because she wasn’t able to speak English. This behavior is truly unacceptable and should be discussed and corrected at the organizational level.

Negative experience: Worst dentist ever! ( They full of ….) please beware save yourself the pain and agony. Currently as I’m writing this my wife is under serious pain from dental work they did . I will also add that after spending hundreds of dollars they just sent another bill after billing are insurance company hundreds and they are in are network . I will never step foot back in that establishment they have no idea what they are doing all they want to do is practice on you and take your money.

Josh Bornstein Published on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: While technically sufficient treatment, the practice is severely mismanaged. Routinely the phones go unanswered (I had to drive over to ask a question once), the voice mail is often full, and the last three appointments we had have been rescheduled due to their schedule changing. There are many other options in Atlanta and we will find one as soon as this round of treatment is over.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit and they made a great first impression! The staff is friendly and engaging. They explained all of the services that we need in advance and made sure I understood everything. Please have patience when going to the dentist office as they are doing their absolute best with the staff they have. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: i really did not enjoy my first experience here. to start.. when attempting to check in i was immediately asked to pay with absolutely no explanation or breakdown. this is my very first time here. 75 for what? she broke it down for me. ok…. i go to get my x-rays done and the gentleman that helped me was gentle and kind. he takes me back to the exam room and says tells me the dentist will be with me shortly. after 15-20 minutes he pops back in to say hey, we didn’t forget about you they’re coming. i’m thinking they’ll be here soon. sure sure. 15 more minutes go by and the man comes back in to grab his things to leave for the evening, i imagine. now i’m upset. didn’t forget about me ?? a couple more minutes go by and i’m about to walk out when finally a woman walks in and says “we’re coming” her and the dentist walk in with no apology or acknowledge of the time i’ve been sitting in the exam room (40-45 minutes) and do a maybe 1 minute exam on me.. the dentist proceeds to tell me what i need done and escorts me to make another appointment . i did not make another appointment. why did you schedule me at 415 if you weren’t going to be available until after 5? that is very disrespectful of my personal time. this is the same company that makes it very clear they have a small window of tolerance for their own time. if you’re more than 10 minutes late, you have to reschedule. for the amount of time i spent waiting, i should have been able to have some of the things done that were recommended but my time was wasted. the only reason i gave 2 stars is because the gentleman that did my x-rays and the lady at the desk were nice and helpful. i would not recommend anyone else to go here.

Positive experience: I had a very decent experience here. The office is nice with a spacious setup and very nice and helpful staff, but the wait time was terrible. We arrived at least 15 minutes before my sons appointment time and we ended up waiting over two hours before he was even called back. Luckily it only took them about 30 to 45 minutes to get his dental work done. As for his dental work I feel like they went overboard with their diagnosis and invasive treatments. We went in for one thing and of course ended up needing a lot of things, things I wouldn't think a three year old would need, which is exhibit a of why people hate going to the dentist. The work seems well done but I just hated seeing my sleepy, sedated three year old with caps over almost all of his lower jaw molars and two front teeth (omg). His smile isn't the same and that bothers me the most. Luckily his teeth are taken care of I guess and he's okay and not too bothered. It's harder on me than him.

Negative experience: I moved over two hours away and for several weeks I’ve been calling to get my daughter an ortho appointment. I leave a message each time and no one has yet to call back. I’m really disappointed because I’ve paid off her braces and now have to start all the way over due to having to transfer her services to an orthodontist closer. This is so disgusting, the fact that I can’t get in contact with management, corporate or anyone! If I could give zero stars I would!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist. I come way from East Point just to come here. All the staff are very professional. They give the kids something to do while they wait and the wait isn’t that long either. Procedures are fast also. Definitely canceling my East Point appointments just to come here

Fantastic experience: First I would like to say that my love for going to the dentist is quite minimal. I made a call on 9/8/22 to A smile 4U . I had the pleasure of speaking to Carla, the front desk receptionist. Carla was not able to get me an appointment until the following week. She advised me to call back the next day which I did. Next day I called and said I was interested in changing my appointment date. Carla answered the phone and right away she said Ms Diaz I’m sorry nothing was available. Then she asked how was my pain? When I answered she told me to hold on and came back saying Ms Diaz could you be here by 10am. I was so grateful that she tried again. When I arrived as if there was a sign printed on my chest. Carla looked up and said without hesitation, Ms Diaz nice to meet you. I was called to the back by an assistant named Brielle. She looked at me and saw fear written on my forehead. She smiled and said how is your week going so far? I told her I did not want to be here. She gave a chuckle and said don’t worry I’m going to take care of you. Brielle took my X-rays and made sure I was comfortable. Next it was time to meet the man himself, Dr Humam. He asked about my background and understood where my anxiety towards the dentist came from. He was able to connect with my culture coming from a different country. I had my extraction done on 9/23/22. When Dr Humam saw me, he remembered what I told him about my anxiety towards the dentist. He drew a picture of my tooth and explained exactly what we were about to do. He then said “My assistant Christina is really good at holding hands”. Next thing I knew she was holding my hand as if I was about to give birth lol. I say all this just to let you know that the staff at A smile 4U at Decatur are friendly, attentive, compassionate and knowledgeable. I will recommend this office to all. This is what great customer service and support looks like. Thank you team, G Diaz.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with A Smile 4 U and Dr. Humam. I came in for a root canal and they were able to work with my schedule and responded quickly. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The staff treated me as if I was a good friend. I had good conversations with everyone and felt really comfortable being there. Dr. Humam is an amazing Dentist and person, I never worked with someone who cared so much about making my teeth look great and making me feel so comfortable in a dentist chair. He was so friendly and it was really easy to work with him and talk to him. He pays attention to detail which I really love and you would want someone that cares about the look and comfort of your teeth, especially something I will be using for a very long time. I'm very happy with my teeth. Thank you so much Dr. Humam and A Smile 4 U Staff!

Fantastic experience: This Dental office has to be the best ever for me. The Dentist and all of the Dental staff were very caring and professional. They all bent over backwards to make me comfortable and content. They are definately worthy of the 5 stars.

Negative experience: I really like the dentist here. He is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. The reason for the low rating has to do with two separate visits. I schedule an appt for a procedure, and after waiting 45 minutes per the appointment time I was finally shown back. At minimum it was going to be another hour and a half to finish what needed done. Because I couldn’t spend 4 hours with driving missing work, I had to leave. I was disappointed bc I made the appointment but I do understand that sometimes doctors are busy. I excused myself from the room- realizing I would need to come back. What really unimpressed me, was that when I approached reception and communicated that I could no longer continue to wait and needed to schedule a new appointment, I was asked to sit down and wait LONGER while they did something else. No other patient was waiting to be helped. No one was in the lobby save one person. I just communicated the wait was too long and you’ve asked me to wait more. So I let them know they could call me to set it up when they had time. The other thing I appreciated was, the dentist did say if I had any issues to “just walk in”. I don’t like to do that if I don’t need to. But when I woke up on a separate day with severe pain and swelling in my jaw about a month after the above incident, I got in the car and drove to this location. When I got there, I was told the dentist was out. There was a different team in the office. I explained why I was in and that the pain was an 8/10 and they said “we can get you in earliest at 3pm tomorrow or you can try calling around until you find someone.” I thought that the dentist was a doctors office. I can’t imagine a situation where someone comes in needing treatment and they’re sent away and told to “call around”. No professional doctors office would do that. They would at the very least give you a suggestion or next step. Given this is a chain, I’d have thought that bare minimum they would have another location to try. Instead I was asked if I was a regular patient and then told to call around. I’m really hoping this isn’t an infection and that it doesn’t impact my pregnancy negatively. If so, I will be looking into my options for addressing things. The dentist is great. The policies and care of the overall business is lacking.

Negative experience: ONE word to sum of my first visit: UNORGANIZED! I had to wait an additional hour to be seen because someone scheduled it at 10am instead of 9am. Never filled out any paperwork regarding my insurance. No one introduced themselves to me. They don’t explain the process. They just do the deed and go to gossip and discuss their plans after work.

Positive experience: We have been patient a there for 3 years now (my children ) the Front desk employees are always very nice and welcoming and helpful but the assistant are not very welcoming and they never explain what they did nor the doctor unless you ask questions . However they Usually good with appointment timing . Last time I went was 2 weeks ago the assistant wanting my son to. come back for something that could have been done the same day (1 hour wait checkup for 2 kids ) hopefully the front desk lady got to get my son taking care off same day appointment .

Negative experience: I have been trying to reach the Decatur and East Point offices for months now to schedule a new patient appointment. The phone tree is awful! When I finally reached someone the person answered the phone saying, "How may I help you, without answering the phone in a professional manner." I am so glad that they do not accept my insurance because if they cannot do something as simple as answering their phones answer imagine how difficult it would be if you are an actual patient needing to reach the office should an emergency arise!

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient. The online booking process was seamless. When I showed up I filled out a couple forms and was taken back pretty quickly. All of the people I came in contact with were very kind and welcoming. I saw the dentist who looked at my x-rays and asked me if I wanted to go ahead and do the cleaning on my first visit. I said yes if I could leave in an hour. There were no hygienists is available So he did the cleaning himself. I thought that was very awesome to see a dentist do the cleaning so I didn’t have to come back for another visit. Overall great experience looking forward to continuing the relationship there

Negative experience: STAY AWAY!! Especially, for the orthodontist. You can never reach anyone at this office by phone and they always have a different staff when you visit. They suck when you need to communicate with them. They use some incompetent service to answer they’re calls. Take note of the people leaving the 5 star review. Yep! Say less.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to a dentist in awhile due to not having insurance. I have always had horrible experiences with dentist. It seemed like they were always trying to get a sale. I went here with my kids and got all of our teeth cleaned. There was no pressure for anything. I was told my son had a cavity and it needed to be filled. Ok we set a follow up appointment to have that done. When we got there to have it filled. The dentist came in to review it and then came to me and said he didn’t want to drill it and fill it cause it was very small and would most likely correct itself. To me that was amazing. It showed he wasn’t just trying to “get a sale” or charge the insurance for something. He really cared about us. We will be using him going forward. There is some work that I personally want done to correct my smile but have put off because I haven’t felt the dentist had my best interest at heart. I feel Dr Humam really cares and is not looking for a sale. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s not bad on the eyes. ☺️

Fantastic experience: The visits here are always seamless! You’re greeted and treated with respect every step of the way. The office staff is very professional and they really make sure they’ve dotted all the I’s and crossed the T’s. Dr. Humam is always awesome and does an amazing job! This is why I drive 30 miles one way to still come here!!!
