Fantastic experience: Just completed my semi-annual cleaning at Brookhaven Dental group and I must admit something I don't normally equate with a dentist visit, it was a great experience. Kenyatta customer service was fantastic as always at the front desk and confirmed all of my paperwork was correct. My hygienist Kathy (not sure if it's with a K or C) was the best. She very thorough, gentle detailed and has the best energy around. Dr Brown as usual was great and answered any questions that I had. I highly recommend this office if you're looking for a dentist in the Atlanta area.

I had horrible issues with TMJ and occlusal misalignment that she went above and beyond to help me with. I had chronic jaw pain from it and she listened and worked with me until it was fixed. I’m very appreciative of her and can’t say enough good things about the level of care I’ve received from her and her staff over the years.

After researching online for months, I found Dr. Brown and decided to reach out for an appointment in December. Although I learned they didn’t accept my insurance initially, the Office Manager, Kenyatta, was incredibly welcoming and patient, which encouraged me to switch my dental plan to secure an appointment. I’m so glad I made that choice! My initial appointment in January was followed by a deep cleaning, which I was quite anxious about. However, the Hygienist was wonderfully patient and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Today, I had my third appointment for a maintenance cleaning with a different Hygienist and it went smoothly. The professionalism from the front office to the back staff are phenomenal! The front office team is very accommodating to my busy and sometimes unpredictable schedule. If you’re considering dental care at Brookhaven Dental Group, this is your sign to go for it! Plus, it’s worth noting that Dr. Brown is a fantastic black female dentist. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of communication from Brookhaven Dental Group. My girlfriend and I had new patient appointments scheduled for 1:00 PM on June 11, 2025. Without any prior notice, our appointments were suddenly canceled the *same day*. She immediately called to confirm we were still coming, but we were told the appointments had been removed from the schedule and our spot was filled in less than 2 minutes of cancellation. The excuse? We hadn’t submitted our paperwork—yet there is *no clear policy* stating it must be completed two days in advance. When asked about this, the receptionist changed the story and said they were short a hygienist. Which is it? Sounds like they overbooked and decided to cover it up with conflicting excuses. Either way, we were left without care. On top of that, the receptionist was rude and dismissive, even lying directly to my girlfriend about office policies. Given the personal stress we've been under recently (I’m recovering from surgery, and she just lost a family member), we absolutely did not deserve this treatment. If this is how they treat new patients, I’d hate to see how they handle ongoing care. Save your time, money, and energy—go somewhere that respects your time and treats people with basic decency.

Fantastic experience: So let me just say that from the first visit almost 7 months ago to now, has been nothing but pure bliss. I had a terrible childhood experience with dentists and was really dreading adult appointments but Cathy is not only amazing but listens to your needs and will walk you through everything. She is gentle and will let you know when she has to apply pressure before she does it so communication is beyond amazing. Dr. Brown is so awesome. You never feel rushed and she listens to you and addresses any concerns right then and not later. I am beyond grateful to have found this place because I was so worried about my smile and gum health and they all work with me to get my smile to where I feel confident. I love it here and highly recommend it.

I went in a couplebof months ago feeling a bit uncomfortable about the color of my teeth and the way my gums looked and felt. And now, I've had a deep cleaning; which also removed all the years of stain, my teeth polished, and my old 1980's filling replaced with new and improved fillings which saved me from a future cracked tooth. Dr. Charlene Brown and her staff are amazing, gentle and very informative. Fantastic experience: Update 10/2024 My husband and I have continued coming to see Dr. Brown for exams and Cathy for cleanings. 2 years ago, we moved a fair distance away, but still make the drive to keep Dr. Brown as our dentist. Most people probably would find a new dentist closer to home. We're very happy with the service we receive and the positive atmosphere, so it's worth the drive! 9/2020 Excellent dental practice! Love Dr. Brown. She and all the hygienists are professional and are happy to explain and answer any questions, big or small. My most recent appt was when the covid-19 sheltering was starting to ease, a little nervous about it, but found the measures put in place eased my concerns.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has high dentist anxiety, this was a pleasant experience. I went in for a cleaning and to get an old filling (work done from previous dentists) replaced. My cleaning was extremely thorough. Nothing felt rushed. Everyone was very kind. Doc came in and knocked out my filling with no issues. I usually need a little extra numbing and she gave me that as well. It was a smooth experience and I absolutely will be returning.

I know that may seem weird saying I enjoyed going to the dentist, lol, but everyone there really made me feel comfortable and relaxed. This was my first time there, so I originally came for exams (x-rays, dental history, etc). They were able to squeeze in the cleaning at the end and even so they were very gentle from start to finish. They were very thorough from the exam process to the cleaning and very informative on how to properly take care of your teeth. I highly recommend Brookhaven Dental Group and I've already referred them to a few of my family members.

Negative experience: Let’s just say I don’t want to ever see Dr. Brown EVER AGAIN! She has angry hands and doesn’t listen well. She basically put a cap on my tooth to save it. Within 2 months of this procedure I was in excruciating pain! I went to another dentist to get a 2nd opinion only to learn my nerve in that tooth that was capped had died and it was very infected. I had to go see another DDS to drill into the cap I just paid for to get the dead nerve out and allow the tooth to heal. I have one more appointment and the DDS will seal the tooth since the crown is no longer covering the tooth. For this issue to happen only 2 months after Dr. Brown’s procedures makes me question if she just didn’t care. I have never in my life experienced so much pain but thank God once the dead nerve was removed my gums began to heal immediately. The pain was slowly leaving

Everyone is always extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the process. I am very grateful for the staff here !

I recommend my spouse and my siblings, and they all had the same experience. I haven’t been to the dentist in years, but this location makes me wanna do my six months check up visits.
