Positive experience: If you’re looking for an OBGYN, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Dr. Wright (primary care) is amazing, which is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. But the OBGYN Greene-Johnson is not only uncaring, but rude. During my entire visit, she kept talking to me like I was stupid; she would actively ignore my concerns and kept bringing up irrelevant things to undermine I was dealing with. It was almost like she was personally upset with me for getting a Pap smear from a different office, and kept bringing it up when it really wasn’t an issue. Before this, I had only dealt with the midwife who was very nice; I never expected the actual doctor would be judgmental and unprofessional. If you’re looking for primary care/family care, I highly recommend Dr. Wright. BUT if you’re looking for OBGYN, go somewhere the doctor actually cares and is professional even if they don’t agree with you.

Negative experience: Greene- Johnson, Dr used very loosely, was very unprofessional. Came in with my minor daughter who had concerns. The “Dr” was visibly annoyed with my questions and was flippant and dismissive with me relaying family history, which most doctors appreciate so they know how to properly care for their patients. This attendant (“dr”) was most concerned with trying to get my daughter on birth control. Gave incorrect information as it relates to anatomy and gave unsolicited information not in anyway related to the reason for the visit. I’m glad I was there to show my daughter what a good Dr is not.

Negative experience: Moved here from a different state pregnant and came here as my primary provider. I miscarried my pregnancy before and told them all the information the doctor gave me and with my mother in the room as my witness they told me ok. I started bleeding at 17 weeks and the whole week my primary was out the office they told me to go to the er, I went to three different ones and miscarried my second baby. When I came back I let them know that. I also let them know I told them all my information when I first started coming and nothing was done and they told me I never mentioned the first one, met with attitude and given the wrong referral. I got pregnant again and miscarried with this one recently finding out they sent me to the wrong referral that they gave me. I found my own doctor and she helped me by giving me the right test and the right referral to see a mfm. All I can say is medcura through and all were no help whatsoever ever and the fact it was my people treating me and acting as so disgust me. I hope yall do better after my experience to help other women because you were no help to me.

Positive experience: The children’s side is AMAZING and thats the only reason they get 3 stars ! The adult side not so great! Everybody always have an attitude and they so rude ! If your appt is at 830 just show up at 9/915 because that’s probably when they are going to call you if you’re lucky! The nurse with the blonde hair is probably the rudest of the all! Nobody is ever at the desk either ! They really have to do better

Negative experience: Very unprofessional! I went and received an exam and while i was naked on the table the (medical assistant) was on her apple watch laughing at messages she was receiving! I felt very much violated in that moment already giving that it’s an uncomfortable situation. The medical assistant and Dr. Greene Johnson wasn’t helpful at all. I asked Dr.Greene about probiotics that could be good to take she couldn’t tell me anything! .. after the exam they left and i clearly heard them talking about me. They need a whole new staff and people who know what they’re doing. Almost forgot i got blood drawn as well and he had me bleeding for 2 days the whole was that big and it doesn’t take much to find my veins .. i’ve never had this problem ever !

Negative experience: I've called office for 2 weeks trying to get a refill on medicine. Why its so difficult they saying they emailed Dr. Wright office but still haven't received call or anything concerning this matter.

Negative experience: So I've been coming here for a few years now and my current doctor, Dr. Wright is amazing. But let's talk about the rest of this place. I sent a message about testing positive for the flu. Someone calls me back we talked and she said I can come in as a walk-in. I get there to be told walk-ins are before 10:30a so shouldn't I have been told that while on the phone. This insensitive creature they have working there whose office is by the exit door was rude and not willing to help me in anyway possible . I was tired, weak and then you said go to our other location in stone mountain uhhhh no. I was told come back at 2:30. By the time I got back home I was exhausted from driving and walking up the stairs to my complex. I adore Dr. Wright but I have to change doctors the podiatrist and dental you can't never get appointments. I'm over medcura

Negative experience: Can never get in touch with the obgyn department leave voice message and never get a call back. Being going since may and it’s July and I’m still not able to get a ultrasound and I think both are very concerning I call several times no answer and I can never get a ultrasound and make me want to switch doctors

Negative experience: Rude. Unhelpful. Absolutely do not care.

Negative experience: Everytime I try to get in contact with the obgyn team I get a voicemail and I never get a call back. I’ve been having severe symptoms with my pregnancy and can never speak with anyone about them. I’m about to get a new obgyn at this point because it’s ridiculous and a safety concern

Fantastic experience: Great, didn’t have to wait long and my granddaughter loves Dr. Callaway and that says a lot.

Negative experience: Have called multiple times to set an appointment and get no call back and have to continue to leave VM. Do not waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Queen is an excellent Pediatrician at MedCura Healthcare. She is very curious, caring, and knowledgeable about your child's healthcare. She treats your children as one her own. Dr. Queen is awesome! If your a parent needing a great Pediatrician Dr. Queen the best choice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tracey Green-Johnson provided excellent care. She took the time and answered my questions, was very thorough and knowledgeable in her answers and she made me feel comfortable. One of the best providers I’ve seen in awhile.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Queen has taken care of the Dean’s since the birth of the oldest who is now 17 up until now our youngest is 11. She is always so thorough and patient as she explains to families ways to support proper use of technology. She also explains the human body so well to my girls and helps them both feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I pray that she lives forever so eventually my grandkids can come to her. Fantastic experience: Dr. Shavaenda Queen and team at MerCura health center on Candler Rd are Spectacular. They are always professional, efficient, and she answers all questions so knowledgeably and patiently. The best pediatrician in Dekalb County in my book. She is just as effective with my preteens Jalen 17 and Jalisa 14. I highly recommend this Dr. Office if you looking for professionalism, experience, and a real love for their job with children.

Fantastic experience: To be honest, my expectations were low when I was able to get an appointment so quickly. I needed a physical and was able to see NP Mary Callaway within two weeks of requesting the appointment. That was six weeks earlier than any of the other facilities I tried through my insurance plan. The facility was very clean and nice, which isn't often the case with medical facilities on this side of town. I was greeted upon arrival, had only a few minutes wait, and everyone who works there seems content, which tells patients a lot about the quality of care. Mary Callaway is phenomenal. Good listener, empathetic, and her demeanor is reassuring. That's incredibly important to me, having been subjected to some Mengele-esque doctors over the past decade. I'm quickly concluding nurse practitioners are infinitely better health care providers than most PAs and doctors. That makes sense, given that nurses overwhelmingly go into that profession BECAUSE they're compassionate. That is at their core.
