Sage Dental of Stone Mountain

Positive experience: Despite sitting for 45 mins before they informed me they didn't have my referral the staff was very professional and caring. The lady at the back desk (in front) was very kind and offered exceptional patience and professionalism despite my frustrations. I'd recommend this office because of her alone however I would recommend due diligence is done prior to the patients arrival. My 2 hour wait could have been avoided had they ensured everything was received prior to calling me for the appointment.

Negative experience: Front end staff is very unprofessional from answering the phone to honoring promotions.

Fantastic experience: Sage Dental of Stone Mountain is the best, upon my first appointment, I was met with pleasant faces and warm smiles. The front of the office was very professional and helpful for getting me settled in for my visit there . The caregiver that attended to my dental care was very gentle and caring about making me feel comfortable. Well I can go on, all I can say is that I will recommend this dental office to all my family and friends.

Negative experience: Had appointment for 8am on a Monday. We arrived promptly with about 8 other patients who also had 8am appointments. Only the receptionist was in the office. Other employees arrived gradually over the next 30 minutes to get settled in, turn on lights, boot up computers, prep for the day, turn on music, etc. Only then, were patients were called back after 8:25am. Employees should all arrive promptly and be ready to take receive patients on time. There is not enough seating in the lobby for all patients who were waiting. Another important note: scrutinize your invoice closely and compare with your expected insurance payment, because they cannot balance my account properly and have been unable to work with me to get it resolved over the phone or in person. They were able to see my son the day I called when he needed emergency treatment after an accident. The dentist herself was very kind and great at explaining the treatment. Overall, I appreciated the dentist, but the practice is in need of management improvements.

Negative experience: I don’t like how they pressure you to pay out of pocket to do work you can’t afford when I had insurance.

Negative experience: Despite what they advertise, they do not do pediatric dentistry (though they still scheduled the appointments despite having patients’ birthdates in the system? Wasted my entire morning) If they can’t even get their website info correct, why would you trust them with something as important as your teeth?

Fantastic experience: My experience at Sage Dental at Stone Mountain was phenomenal. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The dentist (Jarred Graham) and hygienist (Kim Haywood) were professional and gentle with my care. I appreciate their overall service and look forward to a long relationship with them.

Positive experience: Took care of my wife but even after some risky extractions, WOULD NOT prescribe anything more than Tylenol or ibuprofen

Negative experience: Waited for over 1.5 hours. No parking. No seats

Fantastic experience: First time at this location after patronizing the Druid Hills location for years. I had a pleasant experience! The front desk staff was sweet and helpful, the tech who did my X-rays was very chatty and nice. Dr. Graham was funny and explained my treatment plan in a way that didn’t make me feel bad. And my favorite, Ms. Kim the dental hygienist was so thorough and kind to me. She did an excellent job explaining everything, so much so that I barely had any questions. She even put Vaseline on my lips for me so they wouldn’t crack during the cleaning. Very happy with my visit and I will be back for future services.

Fantastic experience: First visit with my son. Great customer service from all staff. I love the fact that if referrals are needed they come to the location rather you having to go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Bait and switch. Did not accurately verify insurance coverage. They told me I had to pay out of pocket for things I later found out are 100% covered by my insurance. Constant upselling. Wasted 2 hours of my day and still did not get a cleaning as expected.

Negative experience: The worst service as a new patient. Staff was extremely rude you asking me questions but yet talking to your staff regarding you all plan for weekend. I don’t care about your plans and in extreme pain. Did an exam telling me my pain level . prescribe me antibiotics and ibuprofen and schedule me two weeks away. April 17 I will be canceling that appointment. You will not be seeing me again. Parking is horrible. Staffing is horrible.I ask you all to take me off of you all don’t call list & email and you all continue to keep contacting me by those means . I will not be returning on May 26!

Fantastic experience: I think everything went well. At least I hope so. I liked the doctor who looked at my teeth. She seemed authentic. I pray Sage Dental will help me and not take advantage of me like the past Dentist have.

Positive experience: Chair was uncomfortable. Told it was difficult for both tall and short people but no alternative or mitigation was offered. Multiple services placed on bill before work began that were not covered by insurance. Asked for other options and was not given any. Declined advanced oral cancer screening because was already done at my first visit in November. Is unfortunate because I already agreed to Invisalign with the orthodontist. Will be looking for another office for cleanings. Can get better value paying out of pocket.

Fantastic experience: when i say AMAZING location. amazing staff. amazing all around and oh my God as someone that had a HORRIBLE dental experience years ago, and been scared ever since the doctor that pulled my tooth cleared my anxiety she was so patient and loving…and i felt nothing! they even have affordable dental plans they work with you. 100/10 I left in tears from how amazing everything went and i cannot think this place enough and this is NOW my new dentist office i don’t care how far i have to travel.

Negative experience: I had a root canal done Dec 2024 and crown. The same toothe is in pain like before the first root canal and they are charging me full price for the same toothe when obviously some thing was done incorrectly. I am not happy. They didnt offer to do a CBcT scan just a Xray. It was not a thorough review so I feel like they are just trying to make money no t caring for me as a patient.

I love the comfy feel of the office - they’re always playing good music and at a volume that distracts you from the work you’re about to have done haha. Kurshina at the front desk was especially kind and patient as she helped me navigate a payment issue, all while she was juggling four calls! Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave a solid 5 star review for the Sage team of Stone Mountain. After leaving a separate Sage location in the middle of the procedure, Alex at Stone Mountain was able to find space for me, same day. Furthermore, after my negative experience at another location in the morning I was very nervy and anxious however my hygenist, Mrs. Kim made me feel a thousand times better and kocked out the prodecure quickly and walked me through everything with both knowledge and kindness. Negative experience: terrible terrible terrible terrible! I would never recommend this place or even come here ever again. I was told to come in for a 4pm appointment. Nothing extremely crazy just a consultation for a potential procedure I need to have due to extreme pain. I came in 15 minutes early, like I was told, I waited for an additional 40 minutes just to get told that I couldn’t be seen anymore due to time. Without even checking anything or even acknowledging my problems, they told me that they could just write me a prescription for an antibiotic and ibuprofen 800. Can you even write a prescription for a patient that hasn’t been seen???! I have never in my life seen this kind of unprofessional behaviour and I will never ever return to this establishment again. They not only did this to me, but to 2 other people as well. I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with the service at Sage Dental’s Stone Mountain location. As a new patient, I originally scheduled an appointment for 1/19 for a consultation and asked whether a cleaning could also be completed during the visit. I was assured by the representative that this could be possible for another day and was rescheduled for today, 1/21 at 10:30 specifically to accommodate both services. Upon arrival, parking was very limited and required me to have to park behind the building near Kroger and walk down. While inconvenient, I understand this may be beyond the office’s control. I checked in on time, paid an out of pocket fee for what wasn’t covered by my insurance, and took a seat. Despite being on time, I was never seen. I understand short delays, especially in a busy office, but waiting over an hour past my scheduled appointment time (11:40am to be exact) with no progress is unacceptable. During that time, I checked in with the front desk and was told I would be called back shortly, which never happened. My patience ran out, I advised the front desk staff that I was leaving and requested a refund. Only then was I told someone could see me immediately, which felt reactive rather than respectful of my time. What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment and receiving multiple confirmation calls throughout the week if patients are simply overlooked upon arrival. The lack of communication and concern was extremely unprofessional. This was not a positive experience and there is clearly significant room for improvement!
