Negative experience: Had an excellent cleaning today with a hygienist I haven't had before. She was the most careful and thorough and an excellent communicator. I felt in good safe hands. Edit: I'm finding a new dentist. Since my last dentist I've had a cleaning where it feels like the only thing they're scraping is my gums. My mouth felt great before going in, and I left tasting blood until the next day. I was scolded for bloody gums and told I need to take care of them better. I think there's a training issue with the ultrasonic cleaning tool broke down mid-visit, the tech returned to a static cleaning tool and it hurt way less and it felt like they were back to scraping my actual tooth. I'm no baby either-- I don't need numbing for cavities. Their organization and cleanliness has gotten worse from my first couple years here.

Fantastic experience: My teeth feel wonderful and look better without the coffee/tea stains on my teeth. My appointment was on time and my hygienist was marvelous. My 6 month check was set up before I went back so all I had to do was say have a great day and I was out of there.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly environment, before I had arrived my cousin had already told me they were a good dental office and the staff were great, and with the past experiences I've had she was right they are better than every dental office I've visited in Michigan including Lakeside , Michigan Implants,and a few more places I can name where I have had horrible experiences. I can't wait to see the final outcome. Finally excited. I had some extensive work done at Lakeside Dental and Implants ,I had the worst unprofessional service ,the dentist there did the most unprofessional job I ever experienced. If I knew the laws that applied then , that I know know I would have held them accountable for the work they so poorly did. I'm so happy with this dentist and the staff as a whole. Negative experience: The only reason I'm giving them one star is because the staff was wonderful however I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the product delivered to me which was a complete set of partials upper and lower poor fitting quality of work and the materials used were totally disappointing did not accept them they were paid for services and product not accepted it was my fault that I did not check to see if they were compensated for this poor work in time to put in an appeal with my insurance company for warning should you be dissatisfied with the quality of the product delivered to you check your insurance company immediately so that you may appeal any charges put on your account I requested a conversation with the doctor himself which never occurred that further caused dissatisfaction with me concerning this matter

Fantastic experience: I live right around the corner from the office, I've been in the neighborhood since 2017 after coming back home from Atlanta after 30 yrs. I had a bad experience with another dentist and although I knew I needed to see another one, I was just fearful. I remembered your office just decided to try and schedule an appointment online but for some reason it would not allow me to submit my inquiry. I tried several times and determined that this was an omen that I should not go. I told my daughter who is in Atlanta and she practically yelled at me to call the office. I did lol. And I am glad. Besides a few hiccups with the insurance on my initial visit everything was wonderful. Your staff was caring and compassionate and assured that they would find out the problem with my insurance and got me scheduled for a cleaning the next day. I'm so bad with names but the ladies at the reception desk, my hygienist and the dentist that counseled me on my next steps were top notch. I don't gate keep good service so I will be sure to let my friends know about the wonderful MY neighborhood DETROIT dentist. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I started getting an infection after a recent break at home... Googled this place and went in today for an extraction. These ladies, not only took my appointment 30 minutes early, they were very nice, prompt, prepared and precise! I was in and out in no time with the prescriptions for antibiotics ready within minutes. Everything was A1 and I will definitely be back next week for healing progress and future evaluation! Couldn't have asked for anything better!!! Thank you ladies!!!

Negative experience: The person/people who answer the phone and greet patients should be kind, attentive and professional. I got the opposite of that when I called on 23 Jan 25 and spoke to Stephanie. Stephanie was nasty, unprofessional, dogmatic and rude — someone like her has no business in customer service, let alone the medical profession. Cleanings and exams are routinely scheduled four to six months out; that’s a norm and best practice. For this reason, I’m still baffled as to why, when I called to schedule for July, Stephanie said, “We usually don’t schedule that far out.” My response? “How’s that? If I were to come today, you’d schedule my next exam and cleaning for May or June. Correct?” “Well yeah,” she answered. “I didn’t know that’s what you needed.” She didn’t know what I needed because she assumed and talked down and was ready to turn me away instead of asking. Stephanie then put me on hold an extended time without coming back to the line to check-in. Rude. When she returned, she was just as dry and off-putting as she had been previously. It’s unfortunate that what seems to otherwise be a wonderful practice is stained by an unprofessional like Stephanie. I’ll find another dentist though. I don’t recommend this one, but do recommend that they get Stephanie together or get rid of her.

She was gentle while cleaning my teeth but firm when necessary to get the job done right, and she handed me a mirror so that I could learn how to properly floss by watching her floss my teeth. At the end, the lady who handled my check-out was helpful, polite, and professional too. She proactively suggested scheduling me for my next appointment. She was also able to check my insurance and tell me exactly how much I would need to pay out-of-pocket for my next appointment. His terse manner might put some off, but he more than made up for his demeanor with his totally painless injection of novocaine and the high quality of his work. 5 big stars!
