Experiencia fantástica: Lovely dentist office. Family run with terrific staff. My hygienist Sarah was great!

Experiencia negativa: Had to change my original 5 star post. While their staff and Dr's are fabulous I had to switch back to my original dentist due to either their extremely high prices, lack of knowing how to work with dental insurance companies, or not wantingto work with insurance companies. I needed a root canal then build up and crown and was told my out of pocket expense would be over $2,000 then on a separate tooth that they had done a root canal on a week later it broke perfectly in half so I needed another build up and crown with posts and was told for that particular tooth it was over $4,000. Now I have dental insurance through my job and also have secondary through my wifes job (teacher). I was told both were exhausted and even when they renew that amount was still my out of pocket expense. So a week later I decided to go back to see my original dentist Dr. Craig Donn who I also loved, we just happened to disagreed on a tooth. I wanted it pulled and he wanted to do a bridge. I wasn't paying that kind of money for a tooth you don't see. When I went back to Dr. Donn I was able to get the root canal and both build ups and crowns and 2 old silver fillings replaced and everything was covered by my insurance with zero out of pocket expense and my insurance plans still have not renewed. I am getting a 3rd crown on my K9 a tooth that Leading Smiles did a root canal on and never sealed completely and this will be the first time I have to come out of pocket $450. Confused how 2 dentist in the same area can have 2 wildly different prices or how 1 may not simply know how to work with insurance or simply does not want to work with them and would rather charge their patients more. How can 1 place be over $6,000 out of pocket and the other who suppliedan additionalbuild up, crown, and 2 filling replacements is $450. I hate writing negative reviews but for most of us who have a family and money is always tight I had to inform others to check around and don't take the prices as gospel.

Experiencia fantástica: Like most people, when I went to the dentist I had a sense of dread. However, Leading Smiles has greatly alleviated that feeling. The staff is friendly; the facilities are modern and tranquil. And most importantly, they take extra care to assure your comfort during procedures. If you are apprehensive, they offer nitrous oxide to take the edge off and check in several times during the procedure to make sure you remain comfortable. While I probably will never be excited about dentist appointments, I certainly won’t dread them like I did. Give Leading Smiles a try and I think you will find a home for your dental care. I know I have.

Dr Tran is very understanding of my anxiety and makes sure I am comfortable the entire time. The staff from the front desk to the assistants in the back are so kind and welcoming. Thank you guys for always helping me through something that isn’t easy for me. I would recommend this office and Dr. Tran to anybody looking for a dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of the Sapienza Dental practice now called Leading Smiles for over 20 years. It is clear that the employees embrace the mission of the practice which seems to be making sure the patients feel welcome, taken care of, educated and supported. From the person at the front desk that welcomes you, to the technician that walks you into the exam room, to the dental hygienist and the dentists that practice there they all embrace a culture af caring. Nadia, who manages appointments is amazing. She works with me until we find a date /time that works for both of us. She’s willing to put me on waiting lists and texts me when there’s an opening so that we can make sure it’s not too long between appointments. i’m so happy that the second generation of Sapienzas is keeping the practice going.

Experiencia negativa: I finally going to make time(which is a waste of my time)to share this with the public also will share with the BBB. I spent a lot of time to look for a good dentist someone that I can trust and have not even been with the office a year, and VERY disappointed with this office, I'm going to be brief about it because its not worth it. This office is very misleading when it comes to a dental office, where they offer multiple care as a dental office for patient and just drop patient just like that with no explanation. This office might have good reviews for CLEANING only, other than that they are not very professional to their patient on other aspects of work that needs to be done. It all comes down to the person(no name mention) behind the desk, cannot do the leg work ex: calling and setting up, dealing with lab etc. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL because of their feeling toward the patient. In the end eventually the office will lose a lot of patient for that kind of behavior. And YES, they are over price when something needs to be done(do your research first before committing a job that needs to be done). To sum it up, I hope people that read the reviews don't just base on good review(which is only for cleaning in this office), see the bad reviews(you don't want to go through it as a patient, than its too late) I hope others do not have to go through what I went through, waste of time and money. I don't want to give this review a star because office they don't deserve it, but its the only way I can bypass this review to post it.

This dentist is kind enough, but doesn't communicate very clearly. This place is probably ok for cleanings and exams, but for anything more serious I would not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Today marks my third visit with Leading Smiles- if the dentist is a place you avoid, if it's a place that gives you anxiety- gift yourself a visit here. From my first phone call with Nancy to schedule to exiting today checking out with Rochelle- this place feels like home. Cameron and Jaz two assistants/hygienist are amongst the sweetest guys I have ever met in a professional setting. The docs are gentle in both their work and delivery of the work you may need done. Their practice itself is beautiful and convenient to get to and they offer sedation dentistry for those needing a little extra support. I pulled the trigger on this office because of their reviews and I need to pay that forward as those reviews did not stear me wrong.

Experiencia negativa: Made my appointment weeks in advance and submitted all my insurance information. I schedule a day off from work to be able to go to this appointment and I show up on time and am told they don’t take my insurance. This is an awful clerical error that just cost me money. I would not recommend going here based on the practices of the office staff. What a waste of time. The girl helping me was very apologetic but I thought something like this should be shared because it’s my first and last experience here

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Dr. Gary and Dr. Gabrielle are always beyond amazing. I have been going to them for yrs now They both and the entire team are wonderful. I have had my invisalign on for about 1.5 years now, and the improvement in my smile made is unbelievable. They were and are always willing to answer my questions and find a way to work with me throughout the process from my initial consultation visit. The process was seamless and pain free, and the results are amazing! I am very happy with my invisaligns, i am happy with my teeth now they are beautiful . I can honestly say they are the best dentist! I highly recommend them and every employee there is the best-highly professional and very friendly. I will forever be grateful! I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they really deserve it.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a dental avoidance person, however I HAD to have some work done that couldn’t be put off any longer. I had an initial exam, worked out a plan of action and knew exactly what was needed to be done and the cost associated. After review I could determine how much and when. I had both major issues completed in one day, including a crown that is made right there in office. I can’t any say enough how wonderful the whole staff is; from the Dr. to the front desk, their primary concern is your comfort.

Experiencia fantástica: I have always had pain during my dental cleanings. However my cleaning with Cameron was very comfortable with no pain. They offered Nitrous and numbing gel for my comfort and it was the first time i had a cleaning with no pain. Love the staff and the Doctors!

Experiencia fantástica: Dreaded going to the dentist, put it off for years. Finally put my big boy pants on and scheduled based on excellent reviews. Long story short, everyone is 100% correct. Everyone I had the pleasure of meeting was so friendly and accommodating. My hygienist did an amazing job with zero hint of pain; best dental cleaning ever. Have a follow-up in six-weeks, I'm looking forward going to the dentist now. Can't recommend Leading Smiles enough. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: First visit - not the last. Efficient, kind, explanations as to what was happening and SUPER careful to be gentle, ask for Cindy the hygienist. She knows that the sides and handles of instruments touching your teeth are uncomfortable and makes a big effort to not touch except where she's working! Huge win! Met with Dr Gabrielle Sapienza - thorough, clear explanations of what's happening with your teeth and how a plan for treatment is worked out. I have a few steps ahead but I am not concerned with these professionals taking care of me.

I had to get work done that went so smooth it was almost unreal. I didn't feel a thing. I wasn't familiar with this practice until recently but I will never go anywhere else. Experiencia fantástica: I was born without a tooth. I had a failed implant and was told an implant wouldn’t work in my situation. I was told by multiple dentists I couldn’t get a bridge without multiple healthy teeth being shaved down. Doc Gary was the only dentist that gave me an option for a Marilyn bridge . I’ve had no issues since the bridge has been placed. The bridge was life changing for me and I didn’t have to have multiple teeth shaved down. Thank you doc Gary ! 10/10 would recommend this dentist to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Leading Smiles six months ago at a friend's recommendation, after avoiding the dentist for years due to lack of insurance and previous poor experiences with dentists. I'm able to forget all that fear and anxiety when I'm at this office. The staff are all so incredibly kind and accommodating, I've never felt like a nuisance for stating my needs for breaks or for moments to calm down. The lady's at the front desk, ever since my first appointment, have always known me by name on sight, and I've never had to wait long for my appointment. I'm eternally grateful my friend told me about this practice, and for the kindness and understanding I've experienced in my time going to them.

Experiencia fantástica: Leading smiles is always so professional and the staff is also incredibly nice. They remember you every time you come in and always ask specific details on how you’re doing. When my boyfriend had cancer in 2021, they would call him just to ask him how he was doing. They were so so sweet. But the most important thing is they’re incredible dentists. They have fixed so much in my mouth that had never been dealt with by my previous dentist. They have helped me tremendously with the problems I have had in the past with my teeth and I’m doing so much better now. They are such a caring office, offering blankets to make you more comfortable and always checking in to make you feel as calm as possible. They know I have anxiety and teeth sensitivity and they automatically use warm water for my cleanings. Small things like that really set them apart from other dentists. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone.

I had a great dentist in another state & I was super nervous about finding one in S. Jersey. I'm extremely particular about medical bedside manners & my teeth. They have the most updated equipment and made my cap right there on a 3-D printer which felt like I was on an episode of Star Trek:) Dr. Sapienza is an excellent and caring dentist ( so gentle with the needle that you don't feel it at all)who really worked some magic on a tooth I thought was beyond repair and I highly recommend this office!

This office offers sedation which was a big reason I came to this dentist. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental visits and I was able to be sedated for my procedure. It felt like I was here for 5 minutes instead of 2.5 hours and I didn’t feel a thing - I slept through it all. I will be returning here as a regular patient and would highly recommend anyone who has extreme anxiety at the dentist visit this office.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a crown, filling and cleaning all in one session. I was made to feel at home with no stress or anxiety. I was even given a warm blanket because I was cold. I thought for sure I was going to be sore when the novacaine wore off, but I felt fine. Everyone there is very kind and personable. They make going to the dentist a breeze.

I came into Leading Smiles reluctantly but the staff put me completely at ease. They explained what they were doing every step of the way and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The deep cleaning I’d been dreading for years turned out to be a relaxing experience. (Thanks Paige!) I can’t say enough about them and recommend them to anyone avoiding the dentist.

That was until I met Dr. Sapienza! I trust him! When I tell you that he is the most gentle dentist I have ever met, I mean it! Experiencia fantástica: Love, Love Leading Smiles and Dr Gabby Sapienza. My crown that they’d done for me 1-2yrs ago fell out a few weeks back -they responded immediately and I was promptly booked an appointment for today in which they replaced my crown for free. The extra care they take to make you as comfortable as possible wether it’s fetching you a blanket to stay warm or the happy gas or numbing cream or the numbing itself -extra care is always taken to ensure your comfort. Pair this with state of the arts equipment and gadgets to good old fashioned family service! I highly recommend Sapienza Dental to you and your family. I promise you will love them just as much as we do!!!

I personally have always been scared of going to a dentist and even more scared of the needles to the point that I try everything in me to avoid going. Through google and reading reviews I decided to make an appointment with leading smiles after having pain for a while on a tooth. The minute I walked in they were attentive and paid attention to my concerns. I'm currently pregnant and they made sure to have my OB sign papers with clear instructions as to what they could use so my baby and I were both safe while I got dental work done. Let me tell you that I didn't feel a thing like not even the needles. They kept asking me if I was ok and they were great. I completely recommend them and I'm so Thankful I finally found a place to keep up with my dental work. I definitely will be recommending them to my family and others.

Experiencia fantástica: Had two extractions. Went smoothly and afterwards I have had very little pain or swelling. Staff was very friendly too. They called me twice afterwards just to make sure I was still doing ok.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited for a tooth extraction. It turned out to be a difficult procedure due to the root on the tooth being hooked. Amazingly, I didn' t feel one pinch of pain throughout the entire procedure! The young lady extracting my tooth was proffessional, patient and very gentle. I believe she is the daughter of Dr. Sapienza. If so, I can' t imagine how proud he is of her. She is a true professional. The entire staff is super nice. Leading Smiles is just a great place to get your dental work done. I will be returning for any dental work I need done! .

Experiencia fantástica: Danny’s Bridge Is Falling Down My fake tooth (bridge) fell out during my lunch break. I called up to see about getting an appointment. Rochelle was busy but I was told she would call back as soon as she was done with her patient. Sure enough, she got back to me to see when I could come in. She asked if I could come in at 5. Fearing walking around like a bum missing a tooth, I took that appointment. On the way in I noticed that not only were they allowing me to come in late last minute, they were staying past the closing time. I’ve only been going to Dr. Gary my whole life (32 years) so I have no idea how other dentists would be but I doubt many would be willing to stay past closing, especially for a non emergency. I can’t thank them enough for getting me in right away so I don’t have to walk around with a sign begging for money so that people would be more understanding on why this guy was missing a tooth.
