PT Orthodontics

Experiencia positiva: While the front desk staff and overall office environment are pleasant and welcoming, my experience with Dr. Erin L. McAtee was deeply disappointing, rude, and entirely unprofessional. During my visit—which was requested by the office staff—I brought in my broken retainer, only to be falsely accused of intentionally damaging it as if I were asking for a free replacement or discount. I was being questioned & treated like a child. Having a professional degree does not excuse a lack of basic respect and customer care. Unfortunately, that standard was not met during my interaction with Dr. McAtee."

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely recommend!! Especially the Hoover location! All my visits are quick and easy! The staff are always friendly and caring with their work any questions I have are always answered!! Thank you! ☺️

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place and i love how they make my braces look very good with nice workers and great costumer service :)

Experiencia fantástica: An excellent orthodontic clinic! The staff are very kind, and they work efficiently to ensure we have the best possible experience. Not to mention the prices, which are extremely fair considering the impeccable work they do. Going to this clinic was definitely my best choice.

Experiencia fantástica: They have been amazing

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome place for all kids including autistic kids. They work so well with each individual child and don’t rush you out. A good place for all children.

Experiencia fantástica: My child had a wonderful experience at this orthodontic clinic. The entire team is welcoming, patient, and incredibly professional. They take the time to explain every step and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the process. The office is clean, organized, and runs on time, which I really appreciate. I’m very happy with the care my 12 year old received and highly recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: We always have the best experience here. Always on time, friendly, quick and give you everything you need.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved PT Ortho as a patient twice and now my daughter is there and it’s SO WONDERFUL!

Experiencia fantástica: Our experience at PT Orthodontics-Hoover has been excellent! The staff has always been so kind and helpful even when I’ve mixed up appointment days and have a wild toddler in tow. The experience was easy from start to finish.

Experiencia fantástica: We had an amazing experience at PT Orthodontics in Hoover/Patton Chapel Rd for my daughter’s braces. The staff and doctors are all so friendly, kind and helpful. We highly recommend them..

Experiencia negativa: My son got his brace off end of last year 2025. He had a crowded teeth and two of his teeth was way up and need to be pulled down to align with other teeth. That was corrected. However the result is a fair teeth with front minamaly slanted forward/flared out.It is noticeable. They said due to overcrowding and there was no space for the teeth to move further that it created the flare. They do not want to do extraction, they said it is not advisable. I do not recommend this place. They don't meet the expectation. I will give them 5 stars if they will show in their poster a minimally but noticeably flare teeth post ortho treatment. The poster model is misleading and not representative of the outcome. The receptionist though is very nice and accommodating.

Experiencia fantástica: PT Orthodontist is AWESOME. I brought my son in for a same day consultation for braces due to a bad open bite. Angel and Emily were AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, and SWEET. They kept him engaged, they explained everything throughout the entire process, and was able to get his braces put on the same day. Dr. McAtee was very nice and proficient in explaining what caused the open bite, and how to care for his teeth. I am so happy that we came to PT Orthodontist, because their customer service and attention to detail has been impeccable. Hopefully, in 24 months my son will have a million dollar smile. Thanks Angel, Emily and Dr. McAtee for making us feel like family. You guys ROCK❤️❤️

Experiencia fantástica: We love it here! Everyone is so friendly! We have never had to wait, Brittany at the front is always welcoming and always answers many my annoying questions!

Experiencia fantástica: PT Orthodontics is awesome. The office staff does a wonderful job with our members. I have received several compliments about Brittani. I hope you guys have a great holiday season, you deserve it!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: My son got braces and even before the week even ended, we went back twice to fix loose brackets. The ladies there accused my 9 year old son of not following food restrictions right infront of me. My son, I and my husband are very careful about what he eats to the point of even packing his school lunches. And to accuse him like that and almost making him cry is very unprofessional and rude. Very disappointed by this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: From the moment we walked into PT Orthodontics, we knew we were in great hands. The staff is incredibly warm, professional, and genuinely invested in our son’s journey to a confident smile. The entire team goes above and beyond to ensure every visit is comfortable, efficient, and personalized.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff was very helpful in helping me choose a plan and walking me through the process of starting braces for my baby.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred by a friend, and I’m so grateful she did! They took care of my son and gave him a perfect smile! I was so Impressed by the overall service quality, that I needed not to be convinced to take care of my own needs, and the Invisalign is working well. They are courteous and professional; I definitely recommend their service for your orthodontist needs!

Experiencia fantástica: PT Orthodontics is nothing short of the BEST Orthodontist office in the Birmingham area! We were recommended to come here be our dentist and a family friend and we wish we cane sooner! Dr. Maddie was simply amazing. The was kind, patient, and answered every question that we had regarding braces for our child. Mrs. Caraway was so sweet and treated us like family as she walked us through pricing. The quality of service was excellent and the pricing was even better. The hygienist, Caroline, was kind and skillful and the entire PT staff treated us like we were family, not patients. I will definitely recommend PT Orthodontics to anybody looking for braces or an Orthodontist. 10/10 Well done!

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience with the Hoover office. Staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: PT Ortho has been great for YEARS! I had my braces over 15 years ago. I came back for the first time today for some maintenance on my permanent retainer. Super easy to schedule an appointment. I’ve always been to the Hoover office and they are as great now as they were 15 years ago!!

Experiencia negativa: The hygienist was horrible she never even spoke to us. She just told my daughter to sit in the chair never said 1 word to me. Made us feel very uncomfortable. If I could take my daughter somewhere else I would but we have already paid $5000 for there services.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was so welcoming when we arrived! The atmosphere was beyond expectations! Dr. Phillips was very professional and energetic, which we loved the most!!

Experiencia fantástica: So nice and professional! Everyone has a smile on their face and always a warm welcome! Dr Maddie is so sweet and takes great care of her patients!

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend. Very efficient, cost effective and convenient location and they have always accommodated my schedule. I’ve required additional weeks of treatment but there is no additional cost. I wish more medical and dental treatments could be that way.

Experiencia fantástica: PT Orthodontics is awesome!! Everyone is so patient and kind. From the moment you walk in everyone is so welcoming. Appointments are quick and easy to schedule. The pricing options are affordable and easy to understand. The staff are efficient and knowledgeable. It’s just great all around! Thank you PT Ortho!

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely fantastic office with the sweetest front desk staff!! And such knowledge from the doctors & effortless efficiency from the clinical staff! Couldn’t ask for a better orthodontic team!

Experiencia fantástica: No waiting. Lovely people. Clear explanation. Will recommend their services big time❣️

Experiencia fantástica: PT Orthodontics provides friendly and professional care! All the doctors and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about treatment! Excellent experience!

Experiencia negativa: The service received today was so unacceptable ! From the time I walked in the door, the young lady at the front desk was sweet, the doctor somewhat nice tone but I could tell the Profile and unpleasant atmosphere that was offered to my daughter and I. Due to the situation. At hand. Not a compassion shows, even called back to speak to the office manager and was told she was unavailable. Not to mention I was told our schedule was changed until today to not be the case. The way we were handled today is a huge shock to me as I heard good things but saw a different level of unprofessionalism. My feelings are so hurt at how things were done down to the rubberband being roughly changed on my daughter. This is unbelievable and I’m in disbelief. This is how you handle patients

Experiencia fantástica: I got the best results I could ask for. Great treatment, service, and price. Dr mcaate is great and couldn’t have asked for better results!!

Experiencia fantástica: At our initial consultation, Dr. McAtee was kind and efficient, with excellent patient and family communication. Charlene explained everything so thoroughly that we didn’t have a single unanswered question! We are very happy!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone was super friendly and helpful and eased any stresses I had. Excited to start Invisalign!

Experiencia fantástica: Incredibly friendly, professional, and flexible staff! Three kids, two phases of treatment each, and I’ve never considered going anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: First visit with my son was awesome (first time brace face lol)...they were funny and very helpful..however I had arrived with my son about 30 min late due to traffic ( i was nervous and had in my mind that they were going to reschedule) they were nice enough to give my son his services now who would have done that NO ONE... highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful orthodontists! I was a patient at 14, and am now 32. My fixed retainer came loose and they were able to schedule me quickly with no trouble. Nearly 20 years later, I still had the same wonderful experience.

Experiencia fantástica: This was the fastest and easiest doctor's appointment I've ever had. This office has the friendliest staff and doctors. I was on the fence about getting my daughter's braces but I left there with an appointment for the next week. I'm excited to see the finished outcome.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was our first appointment. They were friendly, welcoming, and very easy to work with. I am very happy with our choice of Orthodontics.

Experiencia positiva: I've never had to wait a long time for my appointment. It usually takes 5-8 min before I'm taken to the back. The staff is very courteous to their patients, and I'm glad I chose PTOrtho for my Invisalign treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: A wonderful experience! My daughter was so excited! They were so friendly and made everything super easy and made us feel very comfortable and special!

Experiencia fantástica: Charlene was awesome and explained everything and answered my 128 questions. Dr Phillips was very friendly and put me at ease right away

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly, great with the kids! Came in for the first appointment and was able to get started with braces same day!

Experiencia fantástica: Exceptional experience with PT Ortho with their professional/specialized staff with decades of experience, and a proven-track record in Hoover for providing individually-tailored treatment plans for individuals seeking a beautiful smile coupled with a friendly hospitable environment and Southern charm unrivaled to none. Recently returned to review my options to straighten my teeth after a misaligned jaw growth, as I regretfully neglected to continue to wear my top plastic retainer plastered in 2008 while I was attending Simmons middle school. Considering the initial investment cost of having my teeth straightened with braces over a decade-ago twas well worth it knowing that they care for the long-term/follow-up care of their patients.

Experiencia fantástica: We took my daughter and they have been absolutely amazing from day one working with her anxieties! The staff is always super friendly and patient. They were also great working with our budget and keeping me informed about everything from day one.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. McAtee and Juliana were amazing!! All the clinical assistants and front office assistants were so sweet and helpful. Everyone was so welcoming and made sure I understood everything about my treatment. I highly recommend PT Orthodontics!

Experiencia negativa: Unauthorized charge to my account!! The person who set up my payments over the phone informed me that payments would come out on the 19th of each month starting October 19th and that I would receive a notification/reminder prior to that. In fact, payment came out in early September without any notification. When I called, the other lady told me that NONE of that was set up in the system. It’s very upsetting when someone takes money out of your account without authorization. I am pretty sure it’s illegal too. Also, not enough instructions when installing braces. No information/paper material provided about the rubber bands. I was not even told which teeth to put the bands on.

Experiencia fantástica: The best orthodontist in the world!!!!!! Charlene and Dr McAtee went above and beyond at my appt and I was even able to get my braces the same day!!! Can’t say enough good things about this office and staff
