Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Thompson and her staff are always beyond amazing. Her office is comforting, not like a typical dentist office where you feel like you are under yellow office lights. I first went for Dysport in April 2024 and returned to her for my follow-up injections - which have helped my migraines but I’m not qualified to give medical advice, that is just my experience. My visits for Dysport have lasted no longer than 20 minutes, but Dysport lasts 4-6 months in my experience. I recommend her to all my friends for their cosmetic or dental needs. She always has great deals on her injectables. Check her social media - they have a great social media presence. She is now my dentist and still my go-to for Dysport (botox). She also addressed my questions and concerns regarding other injections, such as masseter. My dental experience has been just as satisfying. They have been kind, helpful, and attentive to my specific dental health needs. 10/10 for Dr. Thompson and her staff. I love walking into her office that is staffed with extremely professional women who make you feel at ease, whether it be for dental needs or cosmetic. I am so thankful I found her office.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Thompson isn’t only a great dentist, she’s also a great injector! I love being able to get my teeth cleaned and a little tox touch up in one visit. My lip injections (half a syringe) have held volume for a year now and I’ve been really happy with those results too.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my husband for treatment here, and unfortunately, it was not the treatment we hoped for. The doctor replaced 6 teeth bridge. The final charges were much higher than estimates and our insurance EOB. We also noticed that he was billed an additional seven gingivectomies and seven core buildups procedures with a bridge and three crowns. We paid $8,050 and insurance paid $2,812 for a total of $10,862 for a bridge and 3 crowns. We received a second opinion, and found out that his new bridge that was less than four months was improperly placed, and had a cavity under it. The bridge needed to be replaced, so my husband had to pay a second time to replace the bridge done by Dr. Thompson. Also, one of the crowns fell out less than in year. I would not recommend this dental clinic. Per public records from the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama, Dr. Amanda Thompson entered into a Consent Order on April 17, 2026, regarding violations of Code of Alabama 34-9-18(a)(6)a [Negligence].

Dr. Thompson is in a nondescript building but when you step into her space it is clear that they take their job, their image, and your smile very seriously. The cleanliness, vibrancy, and bright white of the facility is noticeable and distinctly different than the rest of the building. Dr. Thompson's team was phenomenal from my super early checkin to wishing me well on my way out the door. Overall, Dr. Thompson is too far of a drive for my normal dentist but will be on the top of my list for special sessions like this one.

The new polishing equipment for cleaning is a plus! No more sand-paper scrubbing, but a gentle flow of mint flavored warm water polishes your teeth. Experiencia fantástica: Update 2: I felt compelled to write another very POSITIVE review of Luxe Dental Arts after my visit for a cleaning yesterday. I use to go to the dentist dreading either the 'BIG SELL' of an unnecessary procedure (deep cleanings) or veiled threats if I didn't succumb to the very frequent X-rays being pushed and having to politely decline. It was horrible and 3 other well known dentists in the area did exactly that. Thank goodness that is NOT the case at LUXE and for that reason I will continue to be a very LOYAL customer. People need to educate themselves on what is necessary and what is not blindly trust what is being told to them. In my humble opinion, the world is changing and people are beginning to use discernment and opening their eyes to the medical profession and the standards THEY impose on us! In the case of Dr. Thompson and her lovely staff you dont have to worry about that! Update: Its been almost a year and I have had nothing but positive experiences with Luxe Dental Arts!!! I have m teeth cleaned every 3-4 months and never feel pressured or reprimanded as so many other dental hygienists /dentists in the past. I am now a loyal customer!! I have always been anxious going to dentists after a very bad experience as a child and more recently with those whom I felt were pushing care that was unwarranted. In short, I am not very trusting. I was referred by a neighbor to try Luxe Dental Arts primarily because I wanted to be respected for my concerns and decisions regarding my dental care versus constantly having to dodge being scolded or even threatened. With that being said my first impression of Luxe Dental Arts was very positive. The office is located very close to home and is new and modern. The staff could not have been more welcoming and Cynthia, sensing my anxiety was especially careful, calming and kind.
