Hands down the most pleasant experience I’ve had. The front desk team was spectacular from first phone call to check out, dental assistant was so kind and gentle, and the doctor was impressive. Oh and did I mention, my little one is autistic, he did so well with their guidance. I highly recommend. Especially if your little one is apprehensive. Beautiful office, high end equipment, and a fun esthetic. My kid didn’t want to leave.

The staff go above and beyond to make kids feel welcome and comfortable, and the doctor is excellent - very kind, patient, and thoughtful. I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to any parent! Editing my review in March 2026 to add that we have now brought our second son to Dr. Saleh and we are so delighted with the level of care we get here. The boys love coming to the office (as much as any toddlers love the idea of going to the dentist) and the little toys and fairy doors are such a nice touch! I would highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for a dentist for their kids!

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely friendly knowledgeable staff, fun for kids. My kid loves it and has been seen there now for about 2 and a half years. She even asks about seeing the dentist as they do an amazing job overall, making the experience as easy, supportive, both exciting and calm as possible for little ones starting with seeing their name (first only) at the door welcome sign. The entrance/waiting area is full of play area toys and you see how other kids get to pick a prize at the end. If they want the kids can ask to watch a favorite show while getting a cleaning and choose some fun fluoride flavors. There is also the excitement of finding a coin to get your prize plus a sticker. The dentist is also just naturally great with kids and patient with answering all our questions. We love Dr. Toothfairy!

We also barely waited, which is huge. The waiting room was perfect, with toys that kept her happily busy and made the whole thing feel low stress for both of us. They answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed, and somehow turned what could’ve been a nerve wracking appointment into something fun. It truly feels like a place made just for kids & not like they’re an afterthought. If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist, I’d absolutely recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: 1/30/26 My son Lincoln had a great 6 month visit with Dr Lara. He didn’t like the toothpaste (he actually preferred none of the flavors!). I talked to him and he agreed to use mint flavor. The dental assistant was so patient and understanding. He was slightly gagging and she was so good at handling the situation. Dr. Lara also told us that because of his oral hygiene, he was able to avoid cavities. I appreciated that so much. She informed us 6 months ago so we really made sure he brushed and flossed well and now it paid off because he doesn’t have any cavities. Dr. Lara and her team are the best. 1/30/26 My daughter Tess had a great 6 month cleaning, Dr Lara shared meaningful information on how her oral hygiene is superb. She didn’t have cavities. Some of Her grown up teeth are coming in nicely. Dr Lara also commended her brushing routines. We love Dr Lara. She’s always so informative, friendly and kind! 5/16/25 Dr Toothfairy did an amazing job with my daughter’s tooth extraction. Her front top tooth was not budging so Dr Lara did her thing and it was painless and swift. My daughter was relaxed, calm and distracted while Dr Lara pulled her tooth. After she was done, my daughter asked “did you pull my tooth?” That is a testament that Dr Lara is superb at her job. I love seeing her. She’s so easy to talk to and genuinely loves her job!!! People really need a pediatric dentist like her!! I am so happy we found this gem!!! I wish she were my dentist (just sayin’)! ———————- I cannot recommend this place enough. It was our first time. As soon as you walk in, it is so inviting for children. The environment is super kid friendly, and beautiful. The ambiance is very calm. Then Dr Saleh immediately initiated a conversation with me which was so nice. She took the time to talk with me even though her front desk assistants were already attending to my daughter and I. All of the staff is so kind and approachable!! I was looking for a 2nd opinion and she definitely help me become more settled with my daughter’s dental treatment. I went to one pediatric dentist and needed a 2nd opinion just to make sure my husband and I give my daughter the best and safe treatment. I am so happy that we went for a 2nd opinion! She was so thorough and attentive to my questions and concerns. Her expertise definitely solidified our choice to pick her for my daughter’s dental treatment. My daughter had a positive experience and she was treated very well. I would highly recommended Dr Saleh and her team to anyone looking for l pediatric dental care. Before we left the office, my daughter was given a voucher to Scramble, which was such a wonderful treat! Update (1/11/24)- Yesterday was our 3rd visit and the staff was splendid, kind, and just overall inviting and helpful. My son was seen for a regular cleaning and he did so well with cleaning and x-ray. The assistant was so patient with him and gave gentle instructions. My daughter had her cavities filled and she was such a trooper! Dr Lara and her team are just wonderful professionals who genuinely love their job. They display so much care and kindness in their practice and interaction. 7/24/2024 This is a new review. My son loved it and Dr Lara is amazing and always is compassion, kind, and so informative about my son’s dental health. Totally love this practice and would recommend this practice and Dr Lara is the best. 9/20/24 We came in for my daughter's appt. Dr Lara did sealant work on her teeth (4 different teeth). My daughter has had major dental work with Dr Lara and she was extremely calm and cooperative. She was distracted with the TV show up above and procedures were seamless. For this appt, she was not happy and she was very uncomfortable with the mouth piece. She started crying and Dr Lara immediately thought of a 2nd option that calmed my daughter's nerves. I was so appreciative of Dr Lara's quick maneuver to continue with the appt and my daughter was able to listen to her and finish the appt. My family and I are so thankful for Dr Lara. She is so good at what she does!!

Experiencia fantástica: This might be a long one- in the most positive way! Our little angel had an awful fall involving so much blood and a chipped front baby tooth. Frantically both her dad and I called the ER they said what we truly needed was to talk to an after hrs dentristy. We made about 20 calls and only 2 places responded via text. Next thing you know our phone rings and it is Dr. Lara herself ready to FaceTime or guide us over the phone - mind you never ever being an established patient of hers in the past. THIS level of humanity and wonderful disposition - literally gave us our soul back into our body lol not to mention the confidence we were doing everything to help our little. She realized the bleed stopped RIGHT away - that there was no concussion signs and that Noah was calm and just shook up within the same 10 mins of falling. It just looked chaotic - never the less Dr. Lara saw us the day after and we were even MORE impressed with the OUTSTANDING care provided while in person. To any parent looking for the most amazing first time dental experience for their little ones … look no further. This place has SUCH attention to detail I was in shock how many aspects of child relaxation they curated for those uneasy first visits / how thoughtfully prepared their office draws children IN helping them forget they are at a dentist appointment. I will include some pictures of some of the most beautiful corners in her office and still I did not photograph them all. And front desk - wow they were so concerned with Noah’s safety it felt like talking to family and for some of us a RAY OF LIGHT in such a dark moment watching our kiddos get hurt. I wish Dr. Lara could see ME! She was so knowledgeable and patient and a GODSEND!

Experiencia fantástica: So great. We just moved here and We had a “Peds” dentist at our previous residence but this one was by far the best we’ve been to. They had so many toys and for someone who has two small children, the baby room for the cleaning and exam is a must. Love Dr.toothfairy. 24NOV: wanted to come by and edit this for my oldest appointment. My almost three year old is arguable harder to manage than my baby and yet it was the easiest appointment. The physician was so knowledgeable and easily did a full exam and cleaning on my son’s teeth while also making him feel safe and comfortable. Again, the baby room is a must but the professionalism is next level. I’ve told all my friends in the area about this place.

I was very nervous because he's.... highly opinionated and let's everyone know it (flashbacks to a first haircut tantrum). However, from the moment we got to the top stair, my kiddo was excited to go inside. The sign said his name and there were so many fun things to do in the waiting room. He was immediately at ease. Best waiting room ever. Then we were led to a comfy room where I could hold him on my lap as Dr. Lara looked in his mouth. Very minimal fuss and protest. She was quick and efficient. She gave my husband and me so much information - it was great! I really appreciated her approach and demeanor with my son. I am excited to continue to bring him back every 6 months. Thank you!!!!!!

I brought my 18-month-old because I was worried about her bottom teeth (she fights brushing pretty hard at home ). We didn’t have much luck at a regular dentist before, but Dr. Lara was amazing! She took the time to give me helpful tips for brushing and was so gentle and quick with the cleaning — only minimal tears this time! I have two extremely busy boys and when we are there, they know exactly how to manage them and get them to participate in developmentally appropriate ways. Would recommend this practice 100%. Also of note, she has an anesthesia provider come in for anesthesia cases. Not all practices do this. As an anesthesia provider myself, this is one of the primary reasons why I chose this practice and we stayed for the awesome care.

Experiencia fantástica: Oh my gosh, what a cute little oasis in Northern Virginia. Dr. Toothfairy provided such a delightful experience for my son's first dental care. The office is so precious with little fairy doors and treasure hunts and a cool sensory room, and the dental offices are so cozy. There was even a precious "___'s first dentist appointment!" sign in the exam room for my son, and lots of stuffed animals and toys. I don't know about all of the rooms, but at least for my son who was a year old, there were not any big machines or dental exam chairs or equipment in the room- just toys and a cozy arm-chair for him to snuggle up in. Super un-scary. I thought Dr. Lara was thoughtful and so encouraging to us as new parents. She did a detailed and thorough exam/cleaning for my son and also provided so much thorough education to my husband and me regarding best practices for oral hygiene for toddlers. We had to move out of the area and are hard-pressed to find a dental office that is as precious as this one. What a bummer, because this was the most lovely way to introduce our son to dental care in a safe, affirming, gentle space.

We tried to take my 2.5 year old to our regular dentist and (by no fault of their own) our son was uncooperative and they suggested for us to go to Dr. Toothfairy. Best decision we made. Our son was not apprehensive walking in. They had lots of toys and distractions for him. Very inviting and they were super friendly and patient with him. I didn’t feel rushed. The whole place is a dreamland for kids (and for me!). The pretend play toys, stuff animals, cars, puzzles, and a pac-man machine! The staff are very nice and helpful. Dr. Lara is very knowledgeable and was very patient with me as I was overwhelmed with new information. My daughter is obsessed with all the fairy doors and I appreciate all the thoughts went into making dental experience comfortable and amazing for kids!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Saleh and her staff are THE best! Dr. Toothfairy’s office is so cool— cheerful paint and decorations, lots of toys, well organized, colorful, and inviting. There’s even a Pac-Man arcade machine and a dark room with black lights, lanterns, and a video of a cat DJing. They made our daughter’s first visit so special. As a parent who loves all things bright, twinkly, and sparkly, I begged the staff if I could become a patient, but alas, I am well over the age of 18. Dr. Toothfairy, we’ll be back!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently transferred my 3 kids here at the recommendation of a friend, and I was very happy with our experience! The most important honestly is the fact that they actually pick up the phone, and second is that they were able to book us within 2 weeks. The waiting room is fully stocked with toys and capsule machines, and it makes waiting a whole fun experience for the kids. I really appreciate the personal touch where they put the kids names on a black board outside of their door before their appointment. The dentist was very kid friendly, and smart. The whole visit was very thorough and I was very happy to come back a couple weeks later for my oldest to get sealants. I recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: We took our three year old in for regular dental check today and was very pleased with our experience! All the staff were very nice and friendly. There were a lot of toys for the little ones to play with while waiting for the appointment. The dentist was very patient in answering our questions and did NOT try to upsell additional services as our previous pediatric dentist. When we explained my son is allergic to walnuts, she also took the time explaining to us how she uses the superior brand that is allergy-friendly. By comparison, the previous dentist of my son kept ignoring our repeated warnings of his allergies. My son was also a little afraid of the water rinse, and the dental hygienist was totally fine about it and worked around this, which we truly appreciate. At the end, my son also received a couple of coins (which can get two small toys) as a reward of his cooperation. He was so happy and proud about that! We had such a wonderful experience here and will 100% keep coming back.
