He works quickly and painlessly and I have never had to take the stronger painkillers after any of my surgeries. I also use only local numbing and have not had to go under sedation for any of my procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Karas for extractions, bone grafting, and implant placements!

Experiencia negativa: I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the way this office handles patient care and communication. My mother first contacted this office on 1/28/26, after receiving a referral from her PCP to see Dr. Nestor Karas. She suffered a serious fall last September that resulted in facial fractures and continues to experience ongoing pain and numbness. This is not a minor issue, it is an active medical concern requiring attention. From the start, communication with the front office was disorganized and frustrating. There were repeated promises of follow-up calls that never happened, requiring my mother to continually reach out herself. This went on for weeks. After more than a month of back-and-forth, she was finally told she needed an additional referral from her dentist, something that could and should have been communicated at the outset. After obtaining the requested referral, she waited again, only to be told that the doctor was “not interested in her case.” This conclusion came after approximately seven weeks of delays and inconsistent communication. About a week later, she received a call from the office to schedule an appointment. However, when she called back to confirm the details, given that she had previously been told the doctor was not interested in her case, she was informed that the appointment had been offered in error due to a “new receptionist’s mistake,” and that she would not, in fact, be scheduled. The staff member further explained that the employee had made multiple errors and was terminated after just one day. This explanation was both unprofessional and inappropriate. Patients should not be exposed to internal staffing issues, nor should such disorganization directly impact access to care. This experience demonstrates a serious lack of coordination, professionalism, and respect for patients’ time and medical needs. Patients seeking care, especially for ongoing pain after a traumatic injury, are often in a vulnerable position and deserve clear, timely, and respectful communication. I strongly urge this office to reevaluate its front office procedures and staff training. No patient should have to endure weeks of confusion, delays, and contradictory information while trying to access necessary medical care.

The nitrous oxide gas helped me relax. Care was taken to avoid feeling pain with judicious use of novocaine. The procedure was pretty quick and I am now recovering. After receiving a referral to a different oral surgeon who wasn't able to see me for a couple of weeks, I consulted my dentist, who gave me a second referral to this office. Once referred, I was able to easily schedule a consultation for the next day, where I was able to schedule a wisdom tooth extraction appointment a week later. Originally, I was only referred to get my 2 lower wisdom teeth removed, but Dr. Williams insisted on removing my 1 remaining upper wisdom tooth, given that it would eventually need to be removed anyway. However, after my surgery experience, I wouldn't have minded coming back to get that one removed separately! Everyone working is extremely kind, efficient, and very comforting. This was my first time receiving IV sedation and I felt cared for every step of the way. Your comfort and safety is very clearly prioritized. Since the removal of my 3 teeth, I have had no pain, with just a bit of general discomfort. My swelling has been minimal and the post-operative instructions given are very helpful and easy to follow. I am excited about my post-operative appointment and delighted by my experience! I highly recommend this office for wisdom tooth removal!

Experiencia negativa: To start with, I wish google had a ZERO star review option. I haven’t seen such a rude and unprofessional office staff anywhere. I was asked to fill the insurance information ahead of time only to find that no one reads or reviews that. I went on the appointment day only to be told that they didn’t accept the insurance I have and was told to pay $480 for the exam and office appointment. I didn’t like it and asked why was I not informed about this as I clearly filled out my insurance information. There was no answer, I told them that I need to check with my insurance first and will rebook an appointment for future. The lady at the front desk charged me $50 as appointment cancellation which it wasn’t .. only if they had reviewed my information first correctly, this would never have happened. Such unprofessional attitude… please go somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently met Dr. Williams. Following our discussion, we determined how to best prepare for removal of my upper molar. He took the time to carefully examine my x-rays and determine the best approach to removing my tooth. The goal was to maintain as much bone as possible to help prepare for an implant. Both he and his staff were incredibly kind and informative. I experienced almost no pain during the injections and the actual surgery. The evening following surgery, Dr. Williams took the time to call me to find out how I was doing after surgery. It is now day two following my surgery and I am feeling quite good, eating soft foods and a light workout in the gym (60 minutes walking on the treadmill ).

Also have to mention the entire staff, Rosa in recovery was very sweet, but really everyone was so friendly. Overall can’t recommend Dr Williams enough for any dental procedure. Experiencia fantástica: Well! I am a chicken when it comes to dental work. Dr. Karas does not cut corners. This surgeon is very professional, clean office and staff is friendly. I am happy my dentist referred me for tooth extraction and dental implant.

Experiencia positiva: I was disappointed to hear less that 24-hours before my procedure that a portion of my treatment plan would not be covered by insurance, and I would have to pay over $1,000 out of pocket to proceed as planned. Then I was angered to learn that my out of pocket amount was over $500 more than Muir Oral was willing to accept from insurance, because they would not honor the Delta adjustment amount if I paid. The “this is how we do it, take it or leave it” attitude was particularly disturbing to me. If I had a reasonable alternative with another provider I would have taken my business elsewhere. Having an implant is such a lengthy process that changing practices in the middle of a treatment plan was not reasonable. When dealing with the business aspect of Muir Oral, I feel more like an account and not a patient. It’s very dehumanizing. My future oral surgery needs will be with a different practice. Which is too bad, because I think the patient care is excellent.
