Experiencia negativa: Highly recommend you do NOT pursue orthodontic work in this office. Go see an actual orthodontist. Dr Macfarland took over $8,000 of my money for “Invisalign” that they advertise outside their office. But it’s really Sure Smile. And it doesn’t work. I was so unhappy with the outcome that he even offered me a refund at one point. But now he won’t even return my call and refuses to do adjustments on my case so my teeth are straight. Prior to ortho work at his office I’d get compliments on my teeth, now people ask me why my teeth look so crooked. An absolute nightmare and all they’ll offer me now is a referral to an actual orthodontist. 8 grand down the toilet.

Experiencia negativa: I am writing this review specifically regarding Dr. Aliza Hanif. I went in for what she presented as a routine, simple filling. At no point was it explained to me that this was a deep filling, that it was close to the nerve, or that a root canal might be necessary. After the filling, I experienced severe pain and returned to the office. I was told it was my bite and had it adjusted, but the pain only worsened and became the worst pain of my life. When I returned again, I was seen by Dr. Rhodes as Hanif was out the rest of the week. I was then told that the filling had been placed too close to my nerve, which is why I now needed a root canal. I was referred to an endodontist because they do not perform root canals in office. I was told the wait would be over two weeks and the cost would be $2,000–$2,500, followed by the need to return to dental arts for a crown costing about $1,000. I was in so much pain that I could not wait weeks for treatment, and I ultimately had the tooth extracted. I went in for what I was told was a simple filling and now have a permanent missing tooth that I have to live with for the rest of my life. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think very carefully before choosing this provider!

Experiencia negativa: The new dentist doesn’t know that “inside” of my tooth isn’t the outside, proceeded to tell me I had a filling on the outside of my tooth at the gum line and broke off a piece of my tooth. There was never ever a filling there and that’s not where I had the pain issue. I spoke up that wasn’t where the pain was repeatedly and I was ignored and brushed off. I have leftover antibiotics. I’ll take those and treat myself. Utterly useless. Calling a different dentist now.

Fillings done this morning with Dr. Hanif & Leslie were easy, painless and entertaining! Feeling fresh, renewed and confident in my smile again. All around a great group of professionals, 10/10 would recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: There are not enough positive words to describe Dental Arts Group! I had been walking around with a chipped front tooth for months and feeling extremely self-conscious. After a lot of research I was fortunate enough to find this team of experts. I went in expecting a consult and to leave with a plan to fix it. To my surprise, Dr. McFarland was able to repair the chip and I walked out of there feeling like myself again. Everyone in the office was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for hygienic, restorative/cosmetic dental care... you will be so happy!!!

Experiencia negativa: Long-standing client of dental arts. The scheduling is absolutely terrible. They offered me an appointment and I confirmed promptly; to show up at the office and was told appointment was given to someone else but then offered me the same appointment I had the following week they told me I never had. Leaving to another office, not worth the scheduling frustration.

Experiencia negativa: It’s frustrating when a long-standing relationship with a service provider feels undervalued, especially in circumstances beyond your control. After 23 years of loyalty to this dental practice, I’m incredibly disappointed with how they’ve handled recent situations. I had to cancel my appointment due to being sick with COVID, and they insisted on charging a $95 cancellation fee, even though it was unavoidable and out of my control. Earlier this year, I had to reschedule another appointment due to my newborn being sick, they waived the fee then knowing it was also out my control. It’s disheartening to see that compassion and understanding for long-term patients no longer seem to be priorities here. Unfortunately, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Don't expect anything but problems after going here. The dentist are just looking to make a quick buck and could care less about the quality of there work.

Experiencia negativa: I liked the doc and the hygienist - they were good and made me comfortable. The problem is the financial lady screwed me. I was doing automatic payments and a couple of times didn't have enough in the bank but always called a day or two later to pay so my account was always currant. The woman said it was a pain in the butt to have to manually put the payment in and so when it happened a third time she told the doc I never paid and they banned me. The letter stated it was because I refused to pay my bill. I tried to call and they never let me talk to her about it so I was unfairly banned by someone who is a liar.

Experiencia negativa: I was very upset when I left there and after all of these years will be looking for a new dentist. I did not appreciate the rudeness of the hygienist. At one point she asked if I wanted novacaine. Then said I needed to come back before the 6 months when I questioned it was told, “A healthy mouth is every 6 months you need to come more often.” She told me my gums were swollen and bleeding. They were not swollen at all. Of course they were bleeding she was poking at them. My husband doesn’t want me to say anything because he has been coming there for 35 years, but the truth is the truth. I was very upset and if I do stay I never want her again! Very rude and disrespectful. If I talked to my student’s parents like that I would be fired. There is nothing wrong with my gums. Also, when I asked the front desk girl for an earlier appt. She said that in January when the benefits renew we will do that. I have an appt for March. 7 months is not earlier than 6 months. Very disappointed in my care . I am looking for a new dentist. If I don’t find one and do stay, doubtful, I do NOT want the same hygienist. Nancy Marsland

Experiencia negativa: As someone who was in need of a new dental group, I made my selection to make an appointment based on patient reviews. Perhaps I encountered an “off day” because I had a terrible first impression as a new patient. Shy, who conducted my X-rays, was extremely nice and courteous. My experience with the dentist was quite impersonal and the synopsis of my exam felt rushed, and to me, lacked full detail. My interaction with the front desk associate, who was assisting with the financial aspect & procedural follow up, was less than desirable. Due to these factors, I would not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly I have despised the dentist since a child and have avoided going until I came there and a large part of the reason is Kristen who does my cleaning. She made me very comfortable and was very personable and understanding. She's also very delicate and makes sure there is as little discomfort as possible. The other services provided to me there have also been pleasurable. I don't remember the names but I'm sure you know who treated me. I want to thank Kristen for making me appreciate being at the dentist

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a patient with Dental Arts Group since 2015 after I moved to RI in 2013, and words cannot express how excited I become when I have to visit Dr. McFarland, or Hygienist Jennifer. Not only are the staff friendly and courteous, but the office also has top state-of-the-art equipment, and they take the time to review and discuss all procedures with you, post-care and takes the time to answer questions. In addition, the wait time is extremely minimal, and if there's a canceled appointment from another patient, they will contact you to see if you'd like to come in earlier. I've worked and lived in different states over the years, and Dental Arts Group is definitely the best dental professionals I've ever worked with. I highly recommend them.
