Experiencia negativa: Probably the worst experience I've had at a dentist in decades. Pricing is exorbitant. My new dentist took care of something for 30 dollars that this place wanted 300 for. Felt like a test dummy in the chair while the dentist ignored me and gossiped about her weekend to the assistant. Then afterwards, the front desk tried to push a credit check on me to sign me up for a dental care credit card when I asked about payment plans. The entire experience felt predatory, and like the worst of private equity.

Experiencia positiva: My husband and I went in for an evaluation. My experience was amazing, they were gentle and kind. The gentleman at the front was very informative about process and billing. My husband had a different experience. His experience was great until he was checking out with the female receptionist. She was extremely snippy and aggressive with him for asking billing questions. He was upset enough to request someone else to speak with him, so she glared at him the entire time he was in the waiting room on the way out. Great for the most part. Avoid the female receptionist. 4 stars for customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Karam Roberto and hygienist Kimberly were absolutely fantastic. They immediately put my anxiety at ease and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Everyone at the clinic, from the front desk staff to the employees passing by in the halls who took the time to say hello, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've never had a dental experience that felt worth writing a review about—until now. I highly recommend this clinic and will definitely continue seeing Dr. Roberto and Kimberly!

Experiencia fantástica: Patient, kind, accommodating staff and medical professionals. Could not have asked for a better, more through exam for my emergency visit. Everything was explained completely. I am hearing impaired and they worked with me with respect and made certain I understood everything. I am older and they were patient with me. I also have anxiety surrounding visiting the dentist. They took that into consideration and helped me feel more at ease. It takes a lot to for me to want to return to the dentist but I will be returning for further services.

ORIGINAL REVIEW ... They were in network for my insurance and yet I still somehow owe them $650 out of pocket for an INITIAL VISIT. What is this hot garbage.

Experiencia negativa: Dentist was great, however something needs to be addressed about the front desk employee, ( piercing on cheek) didn’t get her name. she was extremely rude with my parents during the check in process, they had questions about their co-pays, in which she was very short and rude with her reply. Both my parents dental procedures are very expensive and we do not appreciate this sort of treatment (racially motivated) in any professional business.

I was a patient before the change and had several crowns done with the promise that they would replace any crown that broke within 5 years The new owner will not honor that promise! They Bought a whole practice and decided to screw the people! Stay away!!

But their gentle approach and reassuring demeanor made all the difference. Thanks to their professionalism and warmth, I now feel much more confident about returning for regular care. I returned back to this office after 3 years because my insurance changed. It is different people from when i was here before, but i like it way better.

They are competent and compassionate. I was a little nervous for my first appointment based off of other reviews citing cleanliness issues and such, but I have found no complaints at this office. I have gone in for an initial visit, some pretty wild oral surgery to remove 6, teeth, and will definitely be back for more. Everything was clean and the staff were amazing. They made me feel so much better about any concern I may have as well as not make me feel judged for being incredibly anxious.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at Gresham Modern Dentistry. The front office was nice and tidy, but the back area felt a bit dirty and outdated. The staff also was hit or miss if they were warm and friendly or short and unwelcoming. If this was the only gripe, I would not have even left this review since the dental care is #1. I had 2 fillings the same day as my initial visit (this part was great - didn't have to schedule another appointment) by Dr. Waterworth, but the fillings were not done well. I went back after a couple of weeks still feeling major pain and was told it's normal (which I totally understand this can take time), but was still feeling pain 8 months later. I went to a new dentist because one filling was falling off and the other needed to be replaced due to poor implementation. It's frustrating to go through and pay for a procedure, and now need to redo the entire process. I did not feel listened to when I explained my pain and issues and now have to pay the literal price to have the work redone.

Experiencia negativa: Don't take the smile generation finance option. After the two years was up. You'll get charged the full interest of the loan. I owned $800. next payment I got was $2300. I was shocked and scared on how I'm going to pay for this. They don't tell you that part. I even tried to call just to pay the $800 amount cause I forgot about it. You still have to pay the interest. It's all over the internet reviews. So I had to pay $4500 for two root canal to fix an abscessed tooth that I still have. I'm not happy with this place. I'm taking my business and my abscessed tooth you didn't fix

Experiencia negativa: Went in for checkup/regular cleaning. I was there a total of three hours (past dentist have been 1hr) never got a cleaning because they said I had some infection that would spread to my whole mouth if they cleaned it. I had zero pain or concern so this diagnosis didn’t seem right. (Went to another dentist and they said my teeth looked perfect) Left feeling super frustrated actually cried in the car. They didn’t get my card information so called me later for a bill for hundreds of dollars for having no real work completed. When I questioned the receptionist the charges and that I hadn’t got a cleaning she said “well we were trying to hurry so you could get to your gym class” because when she asked “what I was up to” i told her after this I was heading to the gym. My husband had procedures there too, after I wrote a review they called my husband saying they would give him a discount if I took down my review!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have a phobia with dental procedures and Dr. Waterworth was beyond patient with me; She helped me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire 3hr procedure. The front staff are also very understanding, kind and welcoming. This is a wonderful dental office!

Katelyn who works the finance side of things was AWESOME! She took the time to work with me and figure out a payment plan that I could afford and I was able to get the procedure done that day! This will be my forever dentist office going forward. They don't judge you or make you feel less than or just want your money, they genuinely want to help you find what will work best for you all the way around.

I’m sure she has hundreds and hundreds of patients, but she still remembers details from past conversations her and I have had. Even though I hate getting my teeth scraped, the discomfort is lessened by Jen’s warmth and mastery of the (mostly) one sided conversation :)

Experiencia negativa: I had a very bad experience with the new owners , I had a root canal done a year ago and recently started having pain . I made an appointment and they evaluated me and said I had an infection and needed another root canal . They referred me to a root canal specialist and never received a call back after multiple attempts to schedule an appointment. I reached back to modern dentist office and made them aware of the situation I was running it and the manager basically told me they could not help me on how the other office manager their customer service. I have been very disappointed on how modern dentists have handled this situation and have denied giving me the information of the doctor Morales were he has moved to his other new location to try and find him to see if he can help me with his work he had done some since I have warranty for his work . And modern dentistry will not honor since he is not longer part of their office.

The practice me is modern and clean and the staff provides an extremely positive vibe. I was greeted by the office manager, Matt, who was excellent and friendly. I then met my new dentist, Dr. Serena Waterworth, who was extremely professional and friendly. I had x-rays taken by Lewis who did a fantastic job. X-rays can be difficult for me but he worked with me to make the process as easy as possible. He provided me patient education and was funny - making the experience so much better. My exam and cleaning with Dr.Waterworth was absolutely the most thorough and educational experience I have ever had with any dentist in my life. She spoke to me about some tips that I had never heard about before to help maintain the health of my teeth. Plus, I was blown away by her dedication to providing outstanding customer service. She is truly a patient-first doctor. Together with her assistant Lewis, I had a superb customer experience. They are truly a dynamic duo! I have never written a review about my dental experience before and have visited other modem dentistries across the Portland area that were all great. Gresham Modern Dentistry has proven to excel in all aspects of modern, patient-focused dental care. I am so thrilled to have found this amazing practice and to be under the excellent care of Dr. Waterworth!

Experiencia fantástica: A cleaning and a crown. They could have scheduled me for another appointment, but instead they worked me in to get all done. The Hygenist and Dr were outstanding.

Experiencia negativa: My poor mom went to Dr. Pagan here for an implant and HE IS HORRIBLE. She had actual bruises all over her face from his very rough handling of her the next day after her first surgery. He was dismissive, rude, and did not make sure she was okay at any point during or after. On top of that, she had heart surgery in her history, and should have been made aware that she needed to have antibiotics before this MAJOR dental surgery and he never asked! She had to see him multiple times to finish the procedure and every time he was just as arrogant and rough in handling. She will be finding a new dentist once the last appointment is completed because anyone who can employ and recommend this man is not worthy of anyone’s patronage.
