Experiencia fantástica: Our experience at Johnson Ferry Dentistry was great. My husband, daughter, and I had two hygienists, Kelly and Joe. They both Had completely different Approaches, however they were both excellent. Each gave great advice for the issues we were having and maintenance. Dr Batta was thorough and knowledgeable. The practice understood our financial limitations and, while they recommended different services, they were not pushy if we could not accept them all. We were also under extreme time constraints, the staff worked with us to fit all of us and all the services we needed in our extremely tight timeframe. I recommend this dental practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I hadn’t been to the dentist in WAYYY too long due to anxiety (we’re talking years), but I decided it was finally time to face my fears and schedule an appointment. I met with Dr. Patel, who was SO kind, patient, and reassuring throughout my whole appointment. I had a deep cleaning, new crown placed on a back molar, and a cavity filled. I truly cannot recommend Dr. Patel enough! Thank you so much to the whole team!! You guys were great and made me feel so at ease.

Dr Patel has a warm and friendly bedside manner. I appreciated Dr Patel educating me about my dental health concerns with verbiage that I understand. Providing me with the knowledge to make informed decisions that were appropriate for my specific dental concerns and not feeling pressured. I would highly recommend this group.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this office for my every 4month cleaning. They took x rays and told me one of my molars had a broken root and had infection around it. I was told I needed to have the tooth extracted and either a bridge or implant put in its place. This was going to cost me almost $5000 out of pocket and almost $15,000 total with what my insurance would pay. The tooth did not bother me so I decided to get a second opinion. The second doctor/dentist said the tooth was not broken and I did not have any other urgent situations. BEWARE of this office and dentist and what they say you need, get a second opinion. Reply to Owner: Why would I call you, this is what happened, you cannot fix that with a phone call. I am just sorry I chose you and your office got so much money from my insurance company for the x-rays and cleaning.

The bedside manner is excellent, and the care of every individual there that I've dealt with has been exceedingly exceptional. My only gripe is price, but that is life. Dentistry is not cheap.

Experiencia fantástica: I just joined Johnson Ferry Dentistry as a new patient, and I’m so glad I did. I had a deep cleaning, a root canal, and an in‑house same‑day crown done on one tooth. The entire experience was smooth, comfortable, and handled with real care. Dr. Janki Patel, Dr. Fredericka Salbo, and their whole team took such great care of me. Highly recommend this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Got to say every time I go I am more impressed with this Dentist, especially Dr. Patel. The front office staff are welcoming and friendly, they're quick. I HATE the dentist, as do most and am here because of a rip off from another dentists who would redo poor crown work they did just a year earlier and then recommended that I get 4 other crowns?! 2 other dentists, including Dr Patel gave me different opinions. They don't try and rip you off, they're quick, gentle and its noticeable that everyone in the office actively tries to make what is otherwise an annoying/painful/costly experience the best it can be. All said and done in my 35 years, I have to say that my experience here has been worlds beyond what I've experienced elsewhere.

Her care team is awesome, I have not met an unfriendly person at Johnson Ferry Dentistry. The care Dr. Patel provides is excellent, and her expertise puts me at ease as a patient. This was the easiest procedure I've ve ever had and I believe it was all thanks to them. It barely felt like an hour. I had absolutely no pain, and it was quick and easy for me. Shout out to them for making my dentist experience so wonderful. I can't explain enough how wonderful they both are.

Experiencia negativa: This dentistry is the most unprofessional dentist place i have ever been too. The dentist Bijan Jamshidi is not professional in any way and also inflicts pain when it's not needed. On top of that the office added charges of services that were not provided, while just geting a cleaning. I have had many other dentists work on me on the past but this gentleman does not seem to care about the client's well being. Keep in mind I went for teeth cleaning and this dentist office, is trying to charge me for ct scans of my jaws, for gum irrigation, facial/oral imaging procedures all of this because I asked him to stop with the cleaning with unnecessary pain. They are trying to charge $1000 after my insurance paid their part. I would never go back to that practice and would recommend that you don't go either unless you want a claim with charges of services never provided. Bijan was the worst dentist I have ever seen in 2 diferent continents.

Experiencia fantástica: I really recommend this place! This was my first visit to Johnson Ferry Dentistry, and everyone was incredibly nice and patient. Dr. Patel was so genuine — she took the time to chat with me before getting started, which made me feel really comfortable. She worked efficiently and was very thorough in explaining my dental conditions and the treatments I’ll need. My hygienist, Joseph, was also super kind and made me feel at ease while explaining the proper way to brush my teeth. I also had a time constraint, and the team was very accommodating — they managed to do both my cleaning and filling in one appointment and had me out the door right on time.

Experiencia negativa: Bait and switch practice like similar reviews. Called to schedule a routine cleaning. They explained i would need an xray first which I did. Then they did some other exams including a "free" saliva exam" After 45 minutes, they said this was an initial visit and they would not be able to perform the cleaning. After i voiced my frustration, they suddenly "found" a hygienist that was available. They said they could do the cleaning but only if i agreed to extra services not covered by insurance. I explained that i wanted the basic cleaning today so that i could research the additional services they wanted to perform. They refused to do the cleaning. As a follow up, i have now been hit with over $500 in bills not covered by my insurance. And i never even got the cleaning I scheduled. I made it clear when i booked the appointment and to the dentist that i did not want any procedures beyond what my insurance covered. Perhaps the owner will want to respond again??? you should cancel that bill. Or I can file a complaint with Cigna.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. The office is spotless and has a calming atmosphere, which made me feel at ease right away. Dr.Patel took the time to explain every step of the procedure and answered all my questions. I really appreciated the thoroughness and care. The hygienist (Mr.Morris) was gentle, yet efficient, making my cleaning a smooth process. They also offered helpful tips on maintaining oral health, which I found very informative.

Experiencia fantástica: It had been over 35 years since I had a plate and a partial plate put in my mouth and I was dreading having to replace them. As it turned out, I no longer had the teeth to hold a partial, so I had to go another way. After discussion with Dr. Janki Patel, we moved toward implants for the bottom. The staff led my through the procedure with much care and knowledge every step of the way. Then, the day arrived, and the implants went in. I could not believe that they fit perfectly the first time. The bite lined up perfectly, and I came out extremely happy with my experience and my mouth. I no longer have the problems with food under the partial at every meal. My mouth has never looked or worked so well as it does now. The best result that I could have ever wished or hoped for. Thanks to all for a fantastic job and leading me with care through the process.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been coming to this office for years and always had excellent care with Dr. Patel—she is truly outstanding, and many of the positive reviews here reflect that. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was nothing like my prior experiences. I arrived early for a routine cleaning and, despite an empty waiting room, wasn’t seen until 25 minutes past my scheduled time with no explanation. Instead of receiving my cleaning, I was given an X-ray and abruptly told I needed not one, but two root canals— I was addressed dismissively (‘hey chief’) and left feeling pressured and disrespected. After two hours, I walked out without receiving the cleaning I came for and requested my X-rays to get a second opinion. This office used to be a place I trusted, but based on this experience, I can no longer recommend it. If you do go, I would specifically request Dr. Patel, as she was the one dentist here who always provided excellent care.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible first (and only) experience with pushy dentist who insisted I have gingivitis and should shell out hundreds for special treatments. (Crazy thought: If you poke at people’s gums repeatedly with sharp metal instruments, their gums will in fact bleed!) I’ve never had a cavity in my life and have never had my former dentist (whom I saw regularly) mention any concerns about gingivitis or early signs of it. I almost cried in my seat because the staff were putting so much pressure on me to do laser treatments, etc. — and right away. I ended up saying no to all their much-insisted extras. My appointment took OVER TWO HOURS. The technician who cleaned my teeth was unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I recommend avoiding Johnson Ferry Dentistry at all costs! Scammers gonna scam, but it’s too bad dental “professionals” are preying off people who just want a decent teeth clean.

Experiencia negativa: If you’re reading the reviews take the five stars with a grain of salt and believe the low rated reviews. I was at this practice in March because my veneer fell out and I wouldn’t be able to see my regular dentist for a couple of months. I needed this veneer put back on because the tooth underneath had a root canal done in the past. I called this office as they did my wisdom teeth for me when I was in high school and had no problems at all. While making the appointment went well and the front staff is/was kind and professional, Dr. Batta was anything but. I was screamed at, talked down too, and treated poorly when I didn’t want the up charge of gum medication that I found out later I didn’t need - more on this later. Before the practices writes back that I didn’t understand that my veneer might not stick on - no I did. I gave full consent to have it temporarily put back on with the understanding it could come off again. I repeated this multiple times to Dr. Batta but I was talked over, and yelled at - “It won’t go properly back on, don’t you understand?” Verbatim is what was said to me after I explained I’d be seeing the original dentist who made said veneer and just needed it put back. I would have respected her more if she calmly said she wasn’t comfortable doing it or flat out didn’t know how. I respect honesty not rudeness. I was then forced into getting a crown I didn’t want as it was my only option at the time. The entire process for the crown fitting was a mess, the first assistant did nothing but gossip with the dentist as she worked, so another assistant had to come in and take over and redo the entire process. The second assistant had more empathy for me as a person than the actual dentist as when the dentist gagged me with one of the tools it was the hygienist who had to get the dentist to stop working and help me sit up. I believe the only reason I got an apology from Dr. Batta for her attitude was because I said I didn’t want her working further in my mouth, come time for the actual crown to be put in and was uncomfortable with the way she treated patients. So, here are some things you all need to look out for when I brought these same concerns up with my dentist. One - don’t get the gum medication if they say you need it (it’s also not covered by insurance and 200 dollars). Mostly likely you don’t. I have never had gum infections or inflammation before however Dr. Batta seemed to think I do. She seems to think I have a lot of things wrong like having to have a root canal that never got confirmed while in the office or on my second visit for the actual crown. Strange. I also, according to my dentist do not have the correct gums for said medication to work properly and thus, this dentist would have instand MADE pockets for the medication to go in. Nah. I’ve had enough medical malpractice done on my mouth I’m good. Second - veneers last more than five years. Do not let them talk you into redoing them. I was met with a judgmental look when I said how long is I’d had mine (only five years). Veneers last for 10 years plus. Third of all - save your money and have the lab make your crowns if you choose to come here. There is no difference between a crown made in office and a crown made in a lab either you have the supplies and know how to do it or you don’t. Paying 600 dollars for an in house crown is more than ridiculous. Finally, their x-rays are terrible. You’d think with the fancy tech they have the results would be better. No. My dentist couldn’t really even use the ones they sent over due to him with how bad they were. Which was probably why I was told at this practice I needed a root canal when I don’t. You can’t make heads or tails of what’s on those x-rays. TLDR; I will never be returning. For anyone reading I hope this was helpful. Please go find a dentist that cares about your well being as a person and not an up charge to make even more money off of.

I had the most amazing experience getting dreadful dental work completed! The staff stayed PAST closing to complete everything, while ensuring I was as comfortable as can be. If you want to be treated like the ONLY PATIENT at the practice lol, please choose the best in Cobb; they're really an amazing group of individuals! See you in 3 months everyone!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Patel is wonderful! I have seen her for years. Even after moving 30 minutes away I find myself returning to her office because she’s the best. I am generally very anxious about dental work, but Dr. Patel and the entire staff at Johnson Ferry Dentistry are so kind and empathetic. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable about how chronic disease, pregnancy, and postpartum can be connected to dental health. On top of being a great dentist, Dr. Patel is just a kind person who takes the time to know her patients.

Experiencia negativa: Beware! My experience matches many others that have posted here. I only chose them because they were on my insurance plan, but they are constantly trying to upsell you. All three times I went there, they tried to pressure me into a pricey procedure, when all I wanted was a normal cleaning. The last time I went, they told me I had bad gums and I required an $800 special cleansing. I declined and then they refused to give me a normal cleaning, so I immediately left. I went back to my previous dentist today and was told my gums are in great shape.

Dr. Patel repaired them very skillfully and her bedside manners were amazing. She made me feel comfortable, cared about and she made my teeth look exactly as they were before the fractures. I highly recommend her for dental services. Good dentists are hard to find. This practice also offers many affordable options for people who don't have dental insurance.

Experiencia negativa: Be aware of their sneaky little codes they send to your insurance. They’re dishonest people with new hygiene every visit. They talk me about cleaning and bill my insurance $95! They also add extra “services” not provided to charge more. I contacted their billing but no one cares.

I can confidently say he is one of the most thorough dentists I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Although he is young, he brings a wealth of experience and provides a level of care that makes him someone you can trust and grow with for your family’s dental needs. He took great care to make sure everything was done right, and my bite feels perfect. I have been to many dentists over the years, and this was truly a perfect experience. Experiencia negativa: Dr. Batta saw me for barely 5 minutes after having to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time, told me she would need to extract my tooth and we could discuss implants and pricing ON THE DAY OF my procedure. I ended up going to an actual Endo Specialist days later who let me know the tooth did not need extraction and a root canal would be perfect which I got done yesterday. I was still charged $404 for her 5 minutes because they used a "CONE BEAM x-ray". Please do not let them use the CONE BEAM because she didn't even use images from that xray to diagnose me correctly and it's a "Special type of xray" which isnt covered by insurance. Being vague about pricing and money driven will not encourage patients to return. Please do not respond with a generic response to this review about "how you'd love to discuss this issue further and to give the office a call" because I did call and asked the front desk worker if I could at least keep the xrays from the Cone Beam and she told me "only if I am able to go in person to retrieve them because I need to have a usb to get them". I asked her "if there are any other alternatives because I don't own a usb"... she sarcastically said "nope but they're attached to a cvs if I want to go next door to buy one if I really want the xrays or not"... needless to say. I will not be returning.

Johnson Ferry Dentistry is truly the dentist for people who think they hate the dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: If I have to go to the dentist, this is where I want to be. Each time I go in, they all are really nice and care about their patients. A big one for me is they keep up on new technology. I got a full crown from start to finish in just under two hours! And even more important, it fits right and is comfortable. (And no yucky molds either!) Saving the best for last, Dr. Patel and my hygienist Kelly are really enjoyable to be around while being very professional. They take the time to answer questions…and they smile a lot, which makes me more comfortable being there.

Experiencia negativa: I recently visited Johnson Ferry Dentistry for the first time since they were close to my new home. The office itself is modern, well-kept, and equipped with the latest dental technology. However, my experience was far from positive. During my visit, I was diagnosed with severe gum issues and told I needed a deep cleaning with laser therapy and antibiotics—which shocked me because I have always had a healthy mouth and have seen a dentist every six months for routine cleanings. I take good care of my teeth, brushing and flossing regularly, so their recommendation seemed excessive. Feeling uneasy about the diagnosis, I requested that my X-rays and treatment plan be sent to my previous dentist for a second opinion. I was shocked to learn that I had been completely misled—I have no bone loss, and my gum pockets are all within the normal 3mm range, nowhere near what would justify a deep cleaning. In contrast, Johnson Ferry Dentistry claimed I had mostly 4-5mm pockets, which was a stark and concerning discrepancy. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and wary of their diagnostic integrity. I’m grateful I sought a second opinion, and I strongly urge others to do the same before proceeding with any major treatment here. Be very careful if you choose this dentist.

Experiencia negativa: Please save your time and find a different provider. This practice is simply about making money. I scheduled a regular cleaning and annual exam and when I got there, they only offered the dental exam, which consisted of the Dr. trying to upsell me services I know I did not need. They pressed me to have a deep cleaning and complex treatments that cost hundreds. I had to return a second time to actually do the "cleaning", which only took the Doctor about 10 minutes! What a joke this place is. Would give zero starts if it was possible.

Experiencia negativa: Super slow and awkward. Warning on the upsell. Nice office, good technology and pleasant staff. I had the weirdest doctor experience I have ever had today with Dr. Abdulhameed. Came in for a cleaning, After over an hour waiting and only getting x rays, and a quick gum check... the doc try to upsell me on thousands of dollars of maybe necessesary work for gum disease. After attempting to decline and asking for just a basic cleaning, she became defensive and wondered why I was being agitated. She then left and I dealt with a front desk person over the (previously undisclosed) pricing for the course of treatement she was hard selling. After wading through all of that, I was left to sit in the chair for 45 minutes waiting on a dental hygenist to do the work we agreeed upon. At this point (well over 2 hours after my scheduled appointment time), I left without any cleaning due to time constraints. Generally unpleasant. It's hard to explain the awkwardness with the Dr. Abdulhameed, and nothing was said that was bad. But the interaction left me feeling rather like they were planning on taking advantage of me somehow and when I declined that they were just going to make the rest of the visit unpleasant. Reading the other reviews I can say this seems to be an anomaly, but if it happens you aren't the only one.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm a relatively new patient at Johnson Ferry Dentistry but can say, without hesitation, that I have only had positive experiences. If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend them! That said, this review is prompted by my experience today. I was highly impressed when I walked in shortly after they opened this morning and was quickly and kindly seen - without an appointment! The night before, I was up with an acute throbbing pain in one of my teeth. As soon as they opened, I was there in the hopes that they could do something to alleviate the discomfort. I know walk-ins can be frustrating but they were graceful in handling the situation. They quickly got me to the back and discussed options. I was scheduled me for an extraction at the soonest available date and antibiotics in the meantime to manage the infection, which is the root cause of the pain (pun intended). *** Side note, they are also great with my 9 year old son. That's a big one for me. Just great staff all around! *** Thank you all so much - from the front staff to the technicians and doctors. You are all amazing.
