Experiencia positiva: The dental hygienist gets 10 gold stars! She was lNCREDIBLE & does so well with kids! Really she was 90% of the interaction. She praised my 4 year old son and said he did great, he was nice and calm the whole time and gave no trouble at all. He just sat still and let her do her thing. Then the dentist came in and the hygienist expressed how well my son did. The dentist then takes a few seconds to look in my son's mouth with the mirror and then proceeds to talk to us about everything. Somehow with the few seconds she looked around my son's mouth she determined my son's temperament couldn't handle the work needing to be done without general anesthesia. She spoke about him while side eyeing him and it was incredibly frustrating. I felt very disrespectful and rude. Ultimately she did leave it up to us but she put it in a way that made it seem like if we tried without general anesthesia that she would likely have to stop the procedure shortly through and we would still be responsible for paying for the nitrous and anything else that was used even though the procedure wasn't complete. It could have been a far better experience if the dentist took so bed side manner lessons from the hygienist. Thanks for reading my frustrated mama review

However this team made me feel comfortable, explained everything as they went, loved on my baby and spent the time to discuss other options before cutting. They were ready to help and definitely did! Genesis was really good with Brycess and complimenting her for the good job she was doing. Genesis also found us some good kiddie music to watch during her cleaning, my daughter really enjoyed that. It is always a pleasure seeing Dr.Wiggins, she just has a way with the little ones and my girls really do well with her. I highly recommend this office!

She is so knowledgeable and patient with my 4 year old and 4 month old. The assistants, Anita, Laura, and Genesis handle my kids with care especially the 4month old as she has had a lip tie release procedure. The environment is clean and is set up for optimum comfortability for kids and families. I highly recommend Growing Smiles!

Experiencia fantástica: We love this dentist office. They are very respectful of our medical choices and accommodating. We have four kids and they’ve taken great care of them and their dental health. They also offer in office anesthesia for procedures which is so convenient.

Erica was able to clean David's teeth and sing to him at the same time. Dr. Wiggins is super informative, answered all of my questions. Even the sweet ladies that took pics of David's teeth were great! I highly recommend this place. They make going to the dentist easy.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven't taken the kids to the dentist for 3 or 4 years because of a very unpleasant experience at another pediatric dentist in the area. I should have gone here first! They cared about my kids and took the time to make sure they had a pleasant experience!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT take your child here!! Long story short, the dentist told us an extensive amount of dental work was needed for my 3 year old. We got a second opinion from another pediatric dentist and the work suggested here was not actually needed. This dentist is money hungry and will take advantage of children! The full story: my son had a cavity and was referred here from our primary dentist because our primary office didn’t have the correct tools for a patient this young. After an exam at Growing Smiles the dentist said my son would need 8 crowns and 2 root canals! He would need to be under full anesthesia for 1 hour. Over $3k after dental insurance. This was obviously a big jump from what our primary dentist said so we opted to get another opinion from a different pediatric dentist. It turns out my son only needs the one crown we were originally referred for. No root canals needed, no anesthesia needed. Growing smiles was going to put my 3 year old through this amount of pain and recovery for money! The dentist was condescending and implied my sons teeth needed this amount of work due to me giving him formula/breast milk (side note: he did not have his back teeth when he was on formula/breast milk). He also stated that my 7 month old likely had tooth decay too and that I need to make an appointment with him to check. Neither of my children will ever step foot in that office again. I hope if anyone is told by this dentist that any amount of dental work is needed you get a second opinion before you let this guy take advantage of a child for money.

Experiencia fantástica: My two youngest daughters have been with Growing Smiles for several years now. We love the dentists who work at this practice. Dr. Vakil is awesome and has worked with both of my daughters since the first visit back in 2021. My youngest daughter Roguen just recently had an oral procedure at Valley Gate in Charlotte. I had been there once previously for my other daughter to have a similar procedure. My experience was great and my 3 year old did very well during and after her procedure. Her teeth look nice and white. I was very happy with the treatment she received and they even called to check in and see how she was doing. I would definitely recommend Growing Smiles to any family looking for a pediatric dentist for their child or children.

Experiencia fantástica: My 3 daughters have been coming here for years. They are a joy to go to every time. They welcome questions and concerns and want to work with you as the parent and the child equally. Also, my oldest had a traumatic experience at her first dentist in Huntersville, but when we switch to growing smiles their patience and approached with her healed that trauma over time and remove all fears she has about going to the dentist now.

They worked so well with my 4 year old who was nervous, that she left with a smile and is not nervous about going back in 6 months for another cleaning. Children are allowed and expected to be children. The hygienist was excellent and interacted with the children while also interacting with me. The dentist has wonderful energy that put the children at ease. This is an amazing office and I'm glad I found it.

My 9 month old needed her lip tie released and while I was more scared then her seeing the love, care and patience the assistants and doctor had…I had no worries leaving her with them. The office once you walk in is extremely comforting and the staff is the best dental staff I’ve ever encountered. From the front desk answering every question and helping with no interest, to the assistants loving on my sweet girl after she was done. It was so heart warming to see them comfort her as if they’ve known her, her whole life. To the doctor making sure he went step by step in the after care instructions and ensuring I truly understood. I will not be taking my daughter anywhere else. This is the type of dental office that I don’t have to worry about her growing up with a fear of going because they genuinely care about everyone who comes in Their doors. Thank you. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my toddler to her first dentist appointment. I expected it to be an appointment full of screaming and tear. However, the office team, nurse and Dr Lawson were amazing. No tears, they were gentle, attentive and informative. I am so happy I stumbled upon this location. Also, the receptionist was very pleasant. From setting up the appointment to greeting us. It set the tone for a wonderful experience. I could go on and on about the staff, but I think you will see for yourself when you visit!
