Experiencia fantástica: Today's visit is one of a few. I was apprehensive only because I knew what lie ahead. But the staff put me at ease. Their genuineness of caring speaks volumes. From the staff up-front to everyone in the back, your wellbeing was paramount. You couldn't help but hear their interactions between each other were that of being supportive, not intrusive. It is a reflection of the leadership and style. I recommend this establishment for all your dental needs.

Experiencia negativa: My original appointment was 1:20. They changed it to 1 pm. I moved somethings around and made it by 1:08. They cleaned my teeth for 11 minutes and announced that they were finished with the cleaning. I will seek a different practice that provides more thorough cleanings. Today is the day before Thanksgiving and I was their last patient for today. Perhaps they should have just closed for today.

Experiencia negativa: The Dental work seemed to be good but the office staff was very bad. They always seem to push for the higher price procedures. And there was always a conflict regarding the EOB price and what the dental office wanted to charge. The EOB was what insurance would pay. It got so bad that at my last visit I was told to pay about $1,800 but the bill should have been about $900 which I did pay Upon A later call from the office. In fact today I still have a $66 credit available. Today I tried to get a regular cleaning visit always told no I must follow what they feel is satisfactory which is a much higher cleaning. But I am 83 years old do I really need that kind of dental work. So if you go there be awful careful regarding the billing

Experiencia fantástica: Update I’m 65 and Betty is the best hygienist I’ve experienced. In fact the experience at your dental office was the best dental experience ever. She was gentle and with small hands. Unlike others with hands the size of a Sumo wrestler. I’ve often said I’d rather have a kidney stone than visit a dentist. That no longer is true. ——————————- I have a real phobia of dentist and would rather have a kidney stone than visit a dentist. I’m a new patient to this office and still hold full faith review. But I will say Nancy in this office did provide a great deal of comfort and reassurance with the proposed plan for my dental care. My only concern is they don’t use duct tape and chloroform in their sedation methods. I’m not sure what will be required once the drilling takes place. Hopefully they have the experience to quickly move their fingers out of harms way and white restraining jacket is fully secure and zipped tightly.

Experiencia negativa: Had a partial root canal in the office, I was prescribed antibiotics for two weeks, which I took religiously. At the end of the antibiotics, I developed an abscess on the weekend Although I left multiple messages and called an 800 number that they have listed for emergencies, I never got a call back It took me two days to get two x-rays from them so I can go to when you dentist except that I had to go through a different office that partners with them in order to get the x-rays The lack of Customer Care and Incompetency is just mind blowing

I finally found a dental office that I feel comfortable in and trust they care about my dental journey with them. They also didn't try to oversell me on stuff I don't need. Experiencia fantástica: From the minute I walked in, to the very last second I walked out, I was amazed at the patience but above all how pro-active the front desk staff was at helping out. My son went in for his regular check up for the first time and even he didn’t complain(miracle). As for the techs and the Dentist it was almost like they already knew my son for years. They treated him like a King and knew how to keep him calm which is the antidote for fear. They explained everything, complimented him on his efforts and told him where he could do better. They treated him like an adult and answered his questions. It was almost like I wasn’t even in the room. Thank you so much, I am going to stop brushing now and eat a lot of candy just so I can come in every week.

Experiencia negativa: I would leave ZERO stars if it was an option. I was given a list of providers through my insurance company. Palm Bay Dental Center was on my list with various dental practitioners multiple times. I would've been a new patient and I have a wisdom tooth issue that I needed to be evaluated for and referred to an oral surgeon. I called this office and I was asked about my insurance provider. I gave them my information. That was around 10:45am or so. They gave me an appointment at 3:30 down the street from them, as that office would be able to see me today. I called out of work due to the pain. When I arrived, I was told only then, that they didn't take my insurance but they could still see me and that I would have to pay for everything myself. I'm leaving this review because why couldn't anyone call from either office within the HOURS between the time the appointment was set and the appointment time to tell me that they don't accept it??? I went back to this office and told them what happened. When I told them that I called this morning and they are on my list of providers, the lady at the front desk said "we don't take your insurance, I'm sorry." Again..why wasn't I told when the insurance info was given to begin with or get a call or email..something!!?? I couldn't get into see anyone at any office today because it was too late and dental offices either close at 5pm or earlier (being a friday) and no other offices had anything available..this inefficient office staff wasted my time and I missed work because their communication is horrible. I feel as though they just wanted to capitalize on my pain and just have me pay the full amount for the oral exam and that I would just do it and they could make more money. Someone should've called me and told me. They had plenty of time. I have to wait until next week to see a different Dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I called to make an appointment for a teeth cleaning. I was a new patient- just moved here from MN. They scheduled me. I show up, got my X-rays, then dentist checked my teeth- no cavities and finally dental hygienist comes in and does this counting thing and then says now we’ll schedule you for a cleaning. I said, I thought that’s why I was here. Apparently, when you are new patient they do not schedule you for a cleaning ( the only reason you are there) they have you come back and at another time separate from x rays, counting and appearance of dentist. So, now I will go back tomorrow to get them cleaned and be asked the same questions that were already established at the “new patient” appointment. In all of my 48 years I have never had such an impractical and inefficient dentist appointment. Also this wastes pto. All and all when I called initially to schedule a cleaning -they did not share this goofy process with me. I will not be recommending them going forward and will be a new patient else where once I get my cleaning :(

Palm Bay Dental changed my mind regarding my care. 1st, they actually get you in at your scheduled time. (What a concept) 2nd, they treat you like they know you are important and really seem to care. They inform you with language a layman can understand and ask questions. 3. They listen to you and develop a plan that works best for your needs. 4. Most Importantly, they are so kind and try to keep you as comfortable as possible. The dentist cares too and it shows-seriously. All the staff have been this way consistently. The entire experience changed the way I feel about going to the dentist. If you'd like a clean, honest, punctual, and kind, gentle, dentist and team then this is the place. I believe the practice could improve its appointment scheduling process by better communicating the potential need for multiple visits upfront. As a patient, I prefer dental offices that can efficiently address routine services, such as cleanings and examinations, in a single visit when feasible. Additionally, I was quoted nearly $800 for a mouth guard, which contrasts significantly with my previous experience. At my prior dentist, my insurance covered a mouth guard—deemed medically necessary due to teeth grinding—with an out-of-pocket cost of only $50. I suggest the practice reconsider its pricing or explore insurance coverage options to make such treatments more accessible to patients. Clearer communication and alignment with patient expectations could enhance the overall experience.

Mostly bad memories since I was a kid with dentist. Perhaps i gave them up from mistrust, pain frequency, and in dental staff's sometimes toxic atmosphere. Today I was in the professional hands of folks that not only knew their craft extremely well, but had the chair-side manner to back it up. I left having felt relaxed and comfortable as well as the kind way the doc explained my further treatments, and even financial options if needed. Just can't say enough about this amazing team!

Experiencia negativa: I just had one of the worst experiences at a dentist office. My dentist at the VA referred me for a cleaning and community care scheduled me with Palm Bay Dental for what should have been only a cleaning (the VA had already done an examination last month). When I talked to Palm Bay Dental on the phone, they told me that I had to go through their examination before I could get scheduled for a cleaning. So, I show up for my appointment and as I’m sitting in the chair, I overhear someone telling my technician that this is through the VA and to do a comprehensive exam, not just a regular exam. A few minutes later, the tech starts taking X-Rays. Now I have pretty significant bone Tori under my tongue that makes X-Rays painful and difficult. The technician takes about 10 X-Rays (I’ve never had that many X-Rays done in at the dentist) and I couldn’t take it anymore; the pain was too much! I told the technician I was done with X-Rays and they would have to figure it out. A few minutes later, the dentist comes in and says that they need the X-Rays before proceeding with the rest of the examination. I didn’t say a word; I just took the bib off, laid it on the chair and walked out the door. Here is my evaluation of Palm Bay Dental: 1. It seems pretty fishy to say that since I was referred by the VA that they would do a “comprehensive exam” instead of a regular exam. 2. I’m sure dentists deal with patients with bone tori under the tongue on a regular basis and I don’t understand how they can’t work around taking X-Rays (remember, I already had an exam at the VA last month and didn’t have a problem with X-Rays) 3. I don’t know if this is a Florida thing or what but my dentist in Texas would schedule me for an exam and cleaning in one visit. Between the multiple visits just to get a cleaning and the “comprehensive exam” it seems like Palm Bay Dental is trying to squeeze every penny they can out of the VA. Needless to say, I will not be returning to their office.

Experiencia negativa: Not a good experience at all. I called for a cleaning. Yes I’m a new patient. I do not know how it works in the dental world. It’s not my job to know how it works in the dental world, but however, when I call it is the offices responsibility to explain what is going to happen on the visit. I was an hour into my visit when I asked are we almost done with x-rays because I’m still going to get my cleaning, but yet I have to be back at work at a certain time. The statement to me was oh you’re not scheduled for a cleaning today you’re a new patient. This is how it works. Needless to say, I left furious, and called a different dentist. When I called the new dentist office, I made it clear that I’m calling to schedule for a cleaning. It was explained to me you have to see the dentist first, and as long as your teeth and gums are healthy, we will do the cleaning. I got a cleaning five days later at another office. So unfortunately, they lost my business because they weren’t upfront and honest every step of the way.

They finished cleaning and set me up for an appointment the next day for a temporary crown and fulfilled all of my needs. First crown came out but they made another and everything is great so far! Experiencia negativa: For the past year or so I've just been coming here for the cleanings because I like job the hygienist does. It has actually been awhile since I've seen the dentist here but I can say that everytime she does see me, she always says that I need a new filling. The last time she told me this, I went to my ortho, who is also a general dentist, and she told me there were no signs of decay. I went here last week and there was a new hygienist. He didn't check my gums and I had to ask him to floss my teeth. On this visit the dentist happened to come in and see me and of course there was a new filling she said needed done. Needless to say, I'll be getting a new dentist/hygienist going forward.
