Experiencia fantástica: I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed under sedation at Sunrise, and I’m honestly still shocked at how smooth everything went. I was fully expecting a miserable, painful recovery, but it was the complete opposite. I had some swelling the first day, used my ice packs, and after that I was completely fine. I didn’t even need to take all of my pain medication. That alone says everything. Dr. Kim is incredible. I don’t know how to explain it other than he has gifted hands. The procedure and healing process were way easier than I ever imagined. Debbie and Danielle were just as amazing. They were so kind, so calming, and had me laughing the entire time, at least the parts I remember. They made the whole experience feel comfortable instead of scary. What really stood out to me was the aftercare. They actually called to check on me and made sure I was doing okay, which meant a lot. If you’re nervous about getting your wisdom teeth removed, this is the place to go. They genuinely care, and it shows in everything they do. Best dental experience I’ve ever had, hands down.

Experiencia fantástica: I had 4 teeth extracted at 5 months pregnant, I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Austin removed my teeth under local anesthesia quickly and efficiently. No experience where you are getting teeth ripped out of your head will ever be a pleasant one especially at 5 months pregnant, but Dr. Austin and his amazing staff made the transition/surgery as smooth and quick as possible. He even called after the appointment to follow up and inquire if I had any further questions about the surgery. I can’t recommend him and his team enough. O

Experiencia negativa: I went in for a tooth extraction with Dr King Kim. I went for a consultation and then scheduled for the extraction a few days later. I was on time but the doctor showed up approximately 45 minutes late. I had been sitting in the exam chair for about 20 minutes. When he came in the dental assistant applied the topical solution on the area that was intended to be numbed for about three seconds before Dr Kim started to inject the local anesthetic. It was very painful! The last injection I could possibly take nearly caused me to jump from the chair. He never allowed the topical solution to take effect. As if he was in a rush! After that he walked out to give the anesthesia time to take effect. I spoke with the dental assistant to let her know I was in that seat with plenty of time to allow the topical anesthetic to take effect before Dr Kim jabbed his needle. What’s his rush. Her response was “that’s on that side of the exam chair”. In other words she has no control over how the Dr operates. And I got the feeling it was his typical way of operating. He removed the tooth that day and quickly sutured my gum. One week prior to this appointment I went in to have this same tooth root canal with a separate specialist with a different practice. It was absolutely painless! From the local anesthetic needle to the root canal itself. It was determined early on that the tooth could not be saved and had to be extracted. Hence the reason for my visit to Dr Kim. I am now going to a different dental surgeon to finish the procedure for an implant.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience at Sunrise Oral Surgery. Had a rare impacted wisdom tooth situation (tooth was almost completely upside down). I was informed that they would not remove the entire tooth, but leave the root because it was too close to nerves (called a coronectomy). From the initial consultation, the extraction, to the follow up visit, Dr Kim and team were very caring, knowledgeable, and efficient. They walked me through every step before the surgery. It's only been a week and the healing is progressing well and lingering discomfort is minimal They informed me that my dental plan wouldn't cover a partial extraction, only a full extraction, so they gave me a generous discount! I highly recommend Sunrise Oral Surgery for your oral surgery needs! The entire office is very friendly and professional.

Experiencia negativa: My sister recently had a post-surgical appointment at this dental office, with Dr Rick Schmid, and the experience was extremely disappointing. During her visit, the dentist reprimanded her for eating popcorn and, in doing so, called her “stupid, stupid, stupid” then proceeded to say that “this is why we should charge ($)for post surgery appointments”. This comment was made directly to her, in the presence of his assistant and caused her to leave the appointment in tears, feeling humiliated and distressed. Not to mention, he was rough in his treatment with her even after she had mentioned she was in pain. While patients should absolutely follow post-operative instructions, there is no excuse for name-calling or speaking to a patient in a demeaning manner. Professional guidance should be delivered with respect and basic compassion, especially after surgery when patients may already feel vulnerable. This was not about the advice given, but about the unprofessional and hurtful way it was delivered. I hope the office addresses bedside manner moving forward so other patients do not have a similar experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone at the Melbourne facility from Amy at the front desk to dental assistant to Dr. Lee were all so incredibly nice. I had a molar extracted and prepped for an implant and although there’s no way to do it without some discomfort, Dr. Lee did it very quickly. I particularly appreciate that they called the next day to check on me. I have had some terrible luck in the past with dentists, but I would highly recommend Dr. Lee and the staff at Sunrise.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! I have two major fears; the dentist and teenagers. After today's procedure I am no longer afraid of the dentist (oral Surgeon). Incredible doctor and fantastic staff. I'm so pleased with how I was treated ( Knowledgeable and compassionate). I'm 6 hours after my procedure and I have no pain. No need to take the pain medicine prescribed! I could not be more pleased . P.S. I'm still scared of teenagers!

Experiencia fantástica: I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out last week by Dr. Kim. I was very scared to go under and have surgery since it would be my first time for both of those things. The staff went above and beyond and were so caring. Dr. Kim did an amazing job. I stopped taking my pain meds by day 3, had no bruising, and swelling went down by day 5/6. I felt so good even the first week when I was expecting to be at my worst. Everyone that I have talked to is amazed at my quick recovery and so am I. You and your staff are the worse excuse for human beings on this planet! Gaslighting patients when they tell you they are in pain! The smooth office procedures relieves any anxiety. Even the other customers were friendlyWith only local anesthesia and about 15 minutes; my tooth was painlessly extracted. I would never go anywhere else!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Austin removed all 4 of my daughter's wisdom teeth and "exposed" a stubborn canine. The office staff was nice and informative and the Dr called us twice after the procedure to make sure recovery was going smoothly and to go over more information. She was given iv sedation and meds for before and after the surgery. We went to a different oral surgeon before Dr Austin for consultation and we did not feel comfortable at all. I'm glad we chose Sunrise

Experiencia negativa: My experience with the procedure itself, extraction, was very good. However, when I returned for a consult for an extraction, it was a different story. I walked in and they told me that I needed a CT scan. I saw the doctor, and he told me about the procedure for implant. I asked 3 different times about cost, but Noone could answer me. When I checked out, they said I owed them over $400 cash. Never once did they tell me that. I should have been informed before I was seen. I do not have that kind of cash laying around and I have been struggling ever since that visit. Don't go there unless you are wealthy.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. King Kim caused me excruciating pain from an extraction that took a long time. They continually tried to numb with shots, which also cause pain, that did not work! He continued to try to extract this tooth without numbing me successfully. He walked out of the room without a word at the end! The tech walked me out because I was weak from the ordeal and in the chair so long. I was given instructions to take Tylenol. I was in pain for over a week, I finally made a follow-up with Dr. Austin, he was great, he cleaned out the hole the extraction left and prescribed an antiseptic rinse and pain meds and gave me a syringe to keep the wound clean! All this should have been done by Kim! I would like to add that he lied in his notes, claiming I refused pain prescription. THAT WAS IN HIS NOTES! NOT MY PAPER WORK! Certainly not response from me!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Kim removed both of my daughter’s impacted wisdom teeth one in December and most recently in July. Everyone from the front desk, assistants, nurses and office manager were phenomenal. All of them were incredibly compassionate, patient with their questions and helped settle nerves. Post op care went flawlessly and even received a postoperative phone call that evening checking on the girls and making sure we didn’t have any questions/concerns. There’s no place or doctor I could recommend more than Dr. Kim and his staff. Thank You Sunrise for an incredible experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone on the Melbourne office is very nice. Dr Kim is a handsome looking doctor too. I had oral surgery and he was quick and fast. It still hurt but that was expected. If you need an oral surgeon Sunrise Facial and Oral Surgery is the place to go.

Experiencia positiva: As a man in his 60's, I had one wisdom tooth left and needed an extraction. This required intravenous anesthesia as it would have been a very uncomfortable procedure without it as per Dr Kim. Dr Kim, the Oral Surgeon is excellent however the Anesthesiologist was not. It took 3 attempts to insert the IV. When I woke up and on my way home I noticed a large dark bruise on my wrist ( the IV was near the bend of my arm) which is still there almost 2 week's later. My neighbor is a former EDT. She told me it's a blown vein which means the Anesthesiologist poked thru the other side of my vien. To me this is sloppy work. Also they should have told me what happened before I left the office. For me, relationships ( friendships, Doctors & business) are based on trust. The fact that they didn't tell me what happened as well as it took 3x to insert the IV, soured me to trust using this Dental Office again. Perhaps if I do have another issue that would need Dr Kim, I'll bring this experience to his attention so he can assign a better qualified Anesthesiologist.

I was numb for the whole day after which was a good thing and he even called me to check and make sure I was ok at the end of the day! 10 out of 10 experience!

He listened to my concerns during the consultation and every person in the office made me feel extremely comfortable. The procedure was super quick and they had all medicine/post op instructions ready before hand. My recovery only took about 4-5 days! It has been one week since my surgery and I have no swelling, pain, bruising, etc! Everything is all healed perfectly! Thank you so much Dr. Kim and the wonderful nurses and staff! When I found out I had to have teeth removed (3). This is the ultimate place to go if you have any fears. The staff here, from when you walk in are welcoming, the techs, and yes even the Doctor is GREAT. I had my procedure yesterday (1/9). It went great. They made me very comfortable. Thank you Dr. KIM you did a great job I have no pain at all, thanks to the nurse that help me get setup. I highly defineitly recommend them. Thanks so much for everything.

Experiencia negativa: Update: No response You just took a couple hundred $$$ for that BS visit? Nothing? Leeches. During my consolidation Dr. Kim recommended a procedure that would help with my sleep apnea. He explained that my insurance would require a sleep study and approval from a specialist. I agreed to contact my insurance provider and schedule a sleep study. He immediately wanted me to schedule a CAT scan. I told him I just had a CAT scan from a Tympanoplasty less than a year ago. We can just use that data. He said no, we have the equipment here. We will do the scan. Why??? (Money driven). Once the appointment ended he asked the nurse to take a x-ray of my profile. Why The procedure hasn’t been approved by my insurance. What is the point of spending all this money? (Again, money driven). It’s hard to find good doctors in this area who are not driven by money. I will continue my search in Orlando and Tampa.

Experiencia negativa: Literally this place is horrific from the uncomfortable care to the incompetent billing people. I went somewhere else immediately and have had with no issues and I literally can't wrap my mind around how messed up this place is. Full disclosure, I only had a consultation, and I lost $190 dollars in the process but it was worth following my discretion and not moving forward with care. I'll leave a longer review of my experience at another time but I'm having such a hard time fixing their mistakes that I don't have time to at the moment but wanted to warn others in the meantime Wish I would have saved my time and money.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid!!!!! My 16 year old son was referred by Viera Dental to have 2 teeth extracted. I sat in waiting room. BIG MISTAKE. He told me a few days later that novocaine was not used!! Only a slight numbing of the gums by a gel. His pain level was a 6 during procedure!!!!! This was done on June 25, 2024

Experiencia negativa: Let me start by saying the nurses who cared for my 15yr old son during and after his wisdom teeth removal were amazing. I only hope that they are not subject to the same unprofessional and demeaning behavior that Dr Schmid displays to his patients. Dr Schmid takes the cake for the absolute worst Dr I have ever encountered. I regret changing surgeons, because our prior surgeon no longer accepted our insurance, as it was my 15yr old that was the direct recipient of Dr Schmid’s poor bed side manner. There is absolutely no need for a Dr to speak to a child post op on meds in the way he did, and there was definitely no need to point his finger to his chest repeatedly telling him that he needed to listen to him and stop talking. His behavior continued when he made it clear that he was bothered by being contacted after hours to discuss my son’s condition. I could go on further the poor experience was not limited to that.

I took my two pills 45 minutes before my appointment time like I was supposed to and I never felt another thing after that. They were very wonderful. I highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: 100% recommend. They answered all my questions and concerns before my wisdom teeth extractions and gave me simply and precise instructions and even made sure I had all my meds before the extraction date. I only had to call them once 3 days after to tell them thanks and to see if I needed a follow up. I’m happy to say that yesterday makes 2 weeks since my extractions and I have not had any issues (thank God) and I’m healing fine. Once again thank you guys so very much I appreciate it.

Experiencia negativa: Dont go here. They don’t even tell you the day before to not eat for surgery. Then tell you can’t have surgery due to eating. They sure make sure you have to drive a hour round trip to resign consent forms though, but can’t do their job to say not to eat or you can’t have surgery. They gave me pre op information MONTHS ago, which isn’t much help months later once you schedule surgery.

During my last implant it took 4 hours in two sessions and my tongue got tangled in the drill. Two years later, I still have no feeling in one half of my tongue. YES, this was the answer for top-echelon expertise. Wonderful experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Doctor Austin and he was a great doctor and even checked up on me after the appointment. Making the appointment was a little difficult it took about a month to make but they told they were busy because of how many phone calls they get which I understood. The one lady i talked to before my procedure was really nice and friendly, I don’t remember her name but she had glasses and she looked like she was in her late 20s and she had nice teeth haha. She gets a 10/10 as well.

Dr. Banachowski and his staff are very personable and made me feel at ease. Overall everything went really smooth, I’m on my second day, with less to no swelling and manageable pain. I would definitely recommend Dr. Banachowski for anyone who is considering an oral procedure. When it came to what my insurance would cover, their office made sure to reach out to me and verify what my copay would look like, so I knew beforehand what I would be expected to pay. Experiencia fantástica: The staff is super nice at both locations. Dr banachowski is awesome. He is an overall amazing good hearted person. Not arrogant like some I’ve come across. He is very sweet to his patients and staff. Also is a perfectionist when it comes to his work. The only thing I would change is they need to communicate better about what to expect before the surgery. Like how many weeks you can’t exercise or fly.

I was able to get in quickly to see Dr. Austin, and from that very first appointment I felt taken care of and that I was in the best hands possible. I was SO relieved that he recommended not doing surgery and letting this injury heal on it's own. He and his staff, (shoutout to Darcie), were so kind during each visit, and I was very impressed that he had me follow up each week during this ordeal. I felt that my care was guided and that he truly cared about my recovery. I was so happy that he kept seeing me despite not actually performing surgery. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of Dr Kim since 2019 when he extracted a full mouth of teeth and put in 6 implants preparing me for full snap in dentures. He and his staff showed much compassion and understanding as this was difficult for a young female to lose her teeth from underlying auto immune diseases. The entire process and surgeries I was fully educated on and knew what to expect. I was always kept comfortable during the procedures and his Assistant followed up with me for a few days after. Again, showing so much kindness and compassion. Recently, 5 years later I had to return for additional implant issues. Dr Kim and his manager/assistant were so responsive and were able to fix the issue immediately so that I would not have to function without my dentures. Over the years, I have referred many people to Dr Kim as he and his staff truly care about the patients and there well being both physically and mentally. I will continue to refer to them so others can get the same EXCELLENT treatment that I have recieved. Experiencia negativa: I hate having to write a negative review because that's not normally the route I'd like to take but I'm extremely disappointed and put in an extremely tough situation due to a mistake by this practice. Mind you I did call them first to rectify the mistake and they offered no resolutions. I am writing this not only to warn others but also to maybe reach the practice owner/manager in a resolution to this matter as well. I purchased private dental insurance earlier last year to help with cost of this surgery I knew I needed (wisdom teeth extraction all 4 including a baby tooth in the front) and initially was very aware of certain waiting periods with this insurance as well. I knew I was able to get the consultation almost immediately so I made sure to get that done. At the time of the consult they gave me a price point before insurance and let me know they would call my insurance and get a accurate pricing with them. I did let them know of my concern for my waiting periods and I was perfectly okay with waiting if need be. I then received a call back a few weeks later letting me know my waiting period would be up for the surgery 6 months after I got the insurance (this past December). So of course I scheduled it when they said the waiting period was up. Mind you my initial consult was in August, I scheduled it 4 months later to avoid any further issues with future billing. Time of surgery came I paid the price they confirmed with me on the phone and again in person and everything was fine. Almost a month later I received a bill in the mail of an additional $526.83 after already paying over $1,200 at the time of appointment. I was shocked and frustrated as you can imagine, I called the office spoke to the billing person on the phone and the only insight I got was, "It seems there was an issue with the waiting period and it was not 6 months and it was actually 12 months" and "my insurance was confusing to read and that is why I was priced the way I was" I asked if there was anything they can do to fix this seeing is how it was there mistake and I can't afford another $500 especially after doing everything I could to avoid this issue and let her know I would've waited longer like I already did. She stated " No, you signed a contract with your insurance so you're responsible". So I'm now stuck with a very large bill due to your mistake. Extremely poor practice. I also contacted my insurance and they recommended I file a grievance with my insurance explaining the issue and was also shocked at what happened and let me know they never even called my insurance to confirm the claim. Please be careful going to this practice, they do not own there mistakes and put it on there patients to cover cost.

I had high expectations when I read that he graduated from one of the best dental schools in the country, University of NC Chapel Hill, and he lived up to this. I had him pull a tooth and he was great. He's skilled and thoughtful. He had a device that vibrates that distracts from getting a novocaine shot. Very clever. As for Sunrise Oral Surgery in general, they are all right except I'd recommend getting an appointment either first thing in the morning or right after their lunch break if possible. The first time I went to Sunrise was to see another oral surgeon for a late afternoon appointment, and I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. Then I switched to Dr. Banachowski and my appointment was right after lunch, and I don't remember having to wait.

My surgeries were difficult but I felt secure with the absolute professionalism of the entire office. Dr. Kim has been my hero since 2005 when he replaced my jaw joints allowing me to open my mouth after months of not being able to eat or barely speak without agonizing pain. I am eternally grateful to have found Dr. Kim & his amazing staff.

The doctor was super kind, and explained everything to me at my preliminary appointment and the nurses and assistants were all sweet and took amazing care of me. Still healing up from my surgery, but I’m glad I came here for it! If you guys could get some additional front staff, you were be an easy A+ place. Thank you again!

Dr. B and his assistant explained the procedure to me in detail and answered every question I had. That really helped to calm my nerves and the injections to numb didn't hurt at all. The tooth was removed without any issue and I had no pain in the following days. I'm very grateful to Dr. B and the staff at this clinic for their professionalism and kind heartedness- getting me through my anxiety of this procedure. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. B- he's a gem!

They succeeded! the procedure itself was quick and efficient. They clearly explained the process beforehand and provided clear post-op instructions.

He made a very fearful event much easier. His assistant was very nice also. I am terrified of any work on my teeth having had bad experiences in the past. I double highly recommend him.

I am a person who gets bad anxiety with dentists but the staff and Dr. Banachowski were extremely helpful and kept me at ease. During the procedure of removing a wisdom tooth and a molar under local anesthetic he had great communication with what and when he would be doing and even explaining the feeling I would get from each action he made. He noticed me wince once and immediately recognized it and stopped to give me more anesthetic. THAT moment to me, I felt safe immediately as most other dentists don’t always pick up on what the patient is doing or have the time to. Even tho he was as busy as he could get, he noticed that little wince and completely put me at ease. Even with a very packed office, he and the assistants ensured I was comfortable and assured me all was going as planned. I would highly recommend the Suntree location in general among with highly recommending Dr. Banachowski. I appreciate all of you! From the receptionist, dental assistants and Dr’s they’re all amazing and work together as a team. No mayhem even in a packed office. If anything the employees and doctors keep a positive banter which is very nice. Kudos to ALL of you!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an abscessed tooth extracted here today. I was very nervous and drenched in sweat going in but the entire staff was friendly and carried conversation that took my mind off of the fear. Dr. Banachowski numbed me so well that I had no pain and felt nothing aside from a little bit of pressure which he explained and told me ahead of time. I knew what to expect since he talked me through everything. 12 hours later I've only taken Motrin and still have no pain. During the procedure the doctor kept talking, he was calm, and explained things in a way that put me at ease. Having a tooth pulled is stressful but the process was made so much better because of the nurses, doctor, and even office/billing people. What a difference that can make. I've had a very traumatic dental experience in the past but Dr. Banachowski and his team really made this process much easier with just having great bedside manner, being upbeat and friendly, and talking me through things. I'll be brining my son here for his wisdom teeth when they need to be removed because I know he'll be in good hands.
