Experiencia negativa: I am a patient on Medicaid and have been without teeth since my extractions here in Sept 2025. Because of an emergency hospitalization and a transportation failure, I missed two appointments. Despite my situation, the office is holding my dentures 'hostage' over a $50 fee that I cannot afford on a fixed income. ​I have called weekly to resolve this, but the front desk staff has been dismissive and condescending. It is incredibly disheartening to be treated this way while trying to access a medical necessity. I expected compassion and a willingness to work with such a patient, but instead, I’ve been met with barriers and disrespect. If you are a Medicaid patient who relies on others for transport, be very careful choosing this office.

Being super open to any communication and concerns I had and I now have a lovely smile I can be proud of! The office was also nice every time I came in after the first bizarre incident and didn’t reprimand me for anything in the past. I’m changing my stars because of this! One bad apple doesn’t make the whole tree bad.. ** When I first came here, I chose this office because they took Medicaid and I needed to have all my teeth crowned. At first, I was really impressed — the hygienist and Dr. Watts were both so kind and made me feel comfortable. I honestly thought I had finally found a place that cared and would take good care of me. While waiting for my sedation appointment, I was told Dr. Workman would be doing my crowns and that he used to be a cosmetic dentist, so I was actually excited. I had been telling them for weeks that my lower front teeth were hurting and needed to be done sooner, but I was told to wait for the sedation date — so I did. When the day came, I expected to be there for several hours. Instead, I was only sedated for about two hours. They did a root canal and placed about 11–12 temporary crowns. I specifically asked that my lower front teeth be worked on too, and I was told they would be taken care of. When I got home and the sedation wore off, I woke up in excruciating pain. The temporary crowns were way too big and high — they cut my lips just from talking, and I couldn’t even bite down. There were large gaps between the temps and my gums, and cement was stuck all over my mouth and the roof of my mouth. To make it worse, the lower front teeth I’d been complaining about weren’t even done. No one called to check on me, and no one responded to my texts, calls, or emails. I ended up having to pay out of pocket to see an emergency dentist, who was shocked by what she saw. She had to grind the crowns down and remove all the excess glue just so I could talk and eat again. She told me not to go back — but since Medicaid was already billed, I had no choice. When I went back to talk about what happened, I found out it wasn’t even the dentist who had glued the crowns in, but the dental assistant. My mouth was torn up and sore, I had a big blister inside my cheek, and eating was painful. When I tried to talk to Dr. Workman about all of this, I wasn’t met with understanding at all. Instead, he got defensive and rude. He raised his voice and told me it was basically my fault because my teeth were “rotted.” All I wanted was some compassion, reassurance, and to know this wouldn’t happen again. A simple “I’m sorry you went through that, I’ll talk to the assistant who finished” would’ve meant a lot. I ended up leaving because I refused to be talked to like that. I even recorded the conversation because I couldn’t believe how hostile it got. I’ve reached out to management, but I still feel ignored and brushed off. It’s been such a frustrating experience. I came here in pain, trusting they’d help me, and instead, I left worse off. No patient should ever be treated this way — especially someone trying to get care through Medicaid and doing everything right. My experience was great until I worked with Dr. workman. So I guess if your looking for advice on this place…just work with another dentist besides him.

Dr Ryan is great and pain free and definitely knows what he’s doing! His assistant was also good! I’ll be back to follow up the journey. I recommend this place!

My daughter had an appointment scheduled over a month ago and the dentist cancelled the day before the appointment and wanted to reschedule for over a month later…. When my daughter took a bunch of days off for her procedure. I talked to I think is Justin and he was kind of rude. But next day I talked to Alexandria and she was such an angel and understood our struggle and made sure we were taking cared off. She made our appointment happen on the day it was scheduled so we didn’t lose any money because everybody took days off for this procedure…. She is an awesome receptionist and deserves all the praise she gets! Thank you again and again Alexandria for your kindness and professionalism…. If everything went well for us it’s because of you!

We have called the office and they are waiting for the dentist to tell them where they sent the prescription? I get that they are human and make mistakes, but come up with a faster way to correct these mistakes especially when someone needs antibiotics.

Unprofessional spoke with him three different times for different things it’s been wrong or rude . It’s not just the cancel fee that we just found out about that’s 50.00 t if not canceled in 48 hrs it’s the rudeness every time I’ve spoken with him. Need to look for another place.

Experiencia negativa: After reading all the positive reviews I’m really disappointed to have to be the one to have such a negative experience, and actually my plan of care hasn’t even had a chance to begin yet. I had my first appointment on July 18 and was told I would need a prior authorization from my insurance company, which should take around 2 weeks to complete. I would then be contacted by the office to schedule the procedures. Nobody called so on 15th of. August I called and was told that the prior authorization had only been sent in on the 29th of July (2 weeks after my appointment) so it could be any day or another 2 weeks. So I call again The girl that answered let me know that the authorization may actually take an additional. 6 more weeks to complete. So at this point I figure something is wrong. Like the dots are not connecting and I ask to speak with the office manager and the girl informs me she’s not there Like doesn’t offer a voicemail or let me know any time I can reach her to discuss my issue. Just a “no” I am just at a loss here. I am not working right now because of this dental issue and this is really creating a financial strain. Another issue I had was that I felt communication was poor during my visit I felt that the assistant was annoyed by my questions. The dentist was nice but seemed rushed even though I came on time and he only spent about 10 mins in the room with me. I hope I can update this with more positive things to say after my actual procedure, but what’s happening here with the authorization is absolutely not cool!!!

I did receive the text the day before but was extremely busy to respond. NEVER received a single phone call! And I have receipts to prove I have no missed calls or voicemails. Now I’m out of hours at work and pay because they couldn’t see my kids.

From the moment I walked in, Noor, the assistant, made me feel comfortable and explained everything clearly. Dr. Workman was patient, gentle, and really listened to my concerns. They quickly found the problem and relieved the pain—such a huge relief! The office is clean, professional, and caring. I left feeling much better and confident in their work. Experiencia negativa: I would advise anyone choosing to use this dentist to read the paperwork thoroughly. I decided against this practice based on their consent agreement as well as their financial arrangement clause and strict cancellation policies. To give a brief overview, it grants very broad authority to perform procedures while shifting financial and legal responsibility onto the patient in an attempt to prevent lawsuits. I could go on about the other shady legalize that they slid into the new patient documents but, in my opinion, a company that’s willing to shift blame and responsibility like that isn’t one I wish to support.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw Dr Knight (Night/ Knighting/ Knighty ?)- I’m not sure how to spell it. He did an excellent job. He was extremely gentle and had a very warm demeanor. What I appreciated most, however, was how thorough he was. My dental hygienist, Kim, was also excellent. She was friendly and attentive to both what would keep me comfortable and what the dentist needed. I’ve had a lot of bad dental experiences in my past to the point where I thought that’s just how it was. It wasn’t until my appointments here that I realized it’s not the case and you can have good experiences.

The West Jordan office sucks, Riverton is passable but barely. Find somewhere else, don't waste your time and sanity dealing with this highly incompetent practice. Zero stars should be an option !

Dr. Park is truly an amazing dentist, and I also have to mention you, his assistant Noor is amazing, she made me feel so welcome and this is the first time I’ve ever been to a dentist office where I have felt right at home, she made me feel so secure. The most important thing I would like to voice is that I was able to be honest about my major issues from years of substance abuse that has ruined my teeth, and Dr. Park not only made me feel comfortable being able to talk about my past, but he made me feel so at ease and that my problem was not something that should be stigmatized. Never one time did I feel judge, he listened to all of my concerns and made me feel as though he was treating me like he was treating one of his own family members. I felt as though he completely understood where I was coming from because he shared some of his own personal loses in his life and voiced that addiction does not discriminate, and that alone, made me feel so completely secure and safe in Dr. Parks hands.

I've had the pleasure of being taken care of by two of the hygienists, Camille and Noor. Camille did an amazing job at getting my teeth cleaned and Noor was wonderful at getting the molds and pictures taken for my clear aligners. I'm really happy that I chose Young Family Dental and they're extra great since one of their locations is only 5 minutes away from my home!

Experiencia negativa: Had a horrible experience with this dental clinic. It was my first visit, and I only went in for a basic cleaning. Now they’re charging both me and my insurance for a root canal — a procedure I’ve never had in my life. I’ve called multiple times, but the issue still hasn’t been fixed, and they continue to send me weekly reminders to pay the remaining balance. For a dental clinic to make an error like this — and not correct it after being notified — is extremely frustrating. I’m sharing this review in hopes they recognize the seriousness of the situation. I wonder how often “mistakes” like this happen that they take money for the procedure that wasn’t performed. I won’t be returning.

Today I received a root canal and a couple of fillings from the dentist and the excellent help of his assistant Noor. I was super nervous but they made sure I was comfortable the entire time and took good care of me!

It took a lot for me to get all the way numb. But Dr. Wood (I believe his name was) was very gentle. He was gentle, kind, and super freakin funny. Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO HERE!! I went a year ago to get an old filling redone. Ended up having to come back in 4 times after to get it redone. I just went to another dentist for a cleaning and he had informed me that I had a huge cavity on that same tooth because it was done incorrectly. I’m beyond frustrated. Now I have to get 2 crowns done on that tooth and the one next to it because of lazy dentists. This is why people don’t come to the dentist in the first place. So unprofessional.

Experiencia fantástica: Noor The entire team I interacted with was courteous, kind, and willing to talk about any questions I had, particularly Noor who was in and out with answers and a helpful demeanor. They were happy to establish a plan that made me feel comfortable coming into the dentist after not having been to one for 15 years. I would recommend this practice to anyone, and look forward to coming back to take steps in having a healthier mouth.

Experiencia fantástica: Ola is the BEST!! I was so nervous and she was very nice and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable during the exam process and X-rays!!
