We actually drive over an hour from Temecula to Chula Vista for our appointments because finding a dental team this trustworthy and caring is rare. Village Walk Dental is absolutely worth the drive. Dr Barajas was accurate with my diagnostic and provided me with a plan of treatment as well as the referral to see other specialists for my specific concerns. They are fair and transparent, you know exactly how much you are going to pay. I will say, if you want to be in good hands, you should visit them.

Experiencia positiva: I called to inquire if their office took DentiCal, receptionist informed me Dr. Barajas was not a provider.... Obviously, but I said DentiCal for dental work. I asked if he was a dentist, and they said yes. I had to clarify that MediCal is for providers, DentiCal is for dental work before they were able to answer that they do not take it. It is so difficult to find dentists, but when offices don't disclose on here or their website what insurance companies they take it makes it tedious. When you call and they aren't informed of existing insurance companies, it makes it infuriating.

Experiencia negativa: Billing concerns! Thirty-two and eighty seven ($32.87) was quoted, and said it's only $32.87, so there's no need for a breakdown. But, they sent an e-mail saying they needed $3,287.00 before work can be done. told me that most of the charges was for anesthesia, only to find out that anesthesia was less than 10% of their quote. Almost 75% of the quote was unnecessary grafting and membrane. Hesitate on giving cost breakdown. Couldn't explain a $257 admin charge (incl $140 charge), charged for $2400 for dental grafting and membrane - trying to get 4 teeth extractions for braces (over-crowding). Grafting and membrane is for dental implants. $95 each for tooth extraction for brittle, bony extraction, but my daughters' teeth are new wisdom teeth coming out that are healthy. $240 for anesthesia. cancelled 4 days before procedure, but they kept my $100 deposit - 72 hour cancellation policy. I guess 96 hours wasn't enough notice. Called my insurance and questioned why so expensive, they said Village dental had many more charges than usual including a $257 admin fee and $380 extraction cost for old, brittle teeth on a 15 year old. Please be cautious when you get quotes. Quotes should include sensible, logical cost breakdowns. Make sure it's not read $32.87 ("Thirty-two and eighty seven", when he meant $3,286 ("Three THOUSAND eighty seven").

Then and you can watch TV with headphones. Which is nice if the buzzing of the drill sends shivers up your spine like it does mine. Nothing's hurts and it is over very fast.

Of the five dental offices I called in Chula Vista, the only one that agreed to see us on short notice was "Village Walk Dental Erick Barajas, D.D.S." & I am thankful for that. The front desk was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The receptionist took the time to answer all of my questions and even sent me the necessary forms to fill out via email before my visit. They were able to see us and make the required calls to refer us to a specialist endodontist promptly. I am incredibly grateful for their quick response and assistance in providing my son with a referral in less than half an hour. Dr. Barajs and his team's dedication to their patients, especially new ones, is admirable, and we appreciate the effort they made to see us on short notice and make the necessary arrangements.
