Negative experience: I do not recommend Dr. Derek busciglio My treatment was supposed to take about 5 months, but it ended up taking 1 year and 4 months. From the beginning, I was given high expectations about the final results, but in the end those expectations were not met. Instead of trying to resolve my concerns, I was simply told that my treatment was over and that my teeth were not going to look any better, even though I was clearly unhappy with the outcome. I spent nearly $5,000 on this treatment, and I honestly feel that my money was wasted. When I decided to seek a second opinion, I requested copies of my dental records to take to another dentist. At first, the office refused to provide them, even though those records are my legal right as a patient. They eventually gave them to me, but only after acting with a very negative attitude. What disappointed me the most was Dr. Dereck’s behavior. Instead of listening to my concerns or showing any empathy after such a long treatment that failed to meet the promised expectations, he became defensive, raised his voice, and treated me disrespectfully. It felt like once my treatment was paid in full and there was no more money to be made from me, I was no longer valued as a patient. To make matters worse, he insisted on knowing the name of my new dentist and the clinic I planned to visit. That is my personal decision and not something I should have been pressured to disclose. His responsibility should have been to provide quality care and respect my decision to seek another opinion. My experience was extremely disappointing. I hope this review helps other patients make an informed decision before committing to treatment. By the way, all of this happened to my wife\. She still has to go back to pick up her retainers, and I sincerely hope she is treated better, **because she has already paid in full\.**

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I invested over a year and a half in my orthodontic treatment, trusting the team every step of the way. Throughout my treatment, I repeatedly expressed my concerns about the spaces between my teeth and one tooth that I felt was not moving properly. Every single time, I was reassured that everything would be corrected by the end of the treatment and that I would be happy with my final smile. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. I completed my treatment, and the issues I brought up from the very beginning are still there. My smile is not what I was promised, and I am very unhappy with the final result. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was originally told my treatment would take about five months. Then it became one year, and now, after more than a year and a half, I am being told that I may need braces to fix the problems I had been pointing out all along. On top of that, they cannot even guarantee that braces will solve the issue, and they mentioned there could be additional costs. If I had been told from the beginning that these results might not be achievable or that I would potentially need additional treatment, I would have never invested my time and money here. I feel that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed instead of being taken seriously. I hope my experience helps others ask questions and fully understand what to expect before starting treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was concerned as to whether or not I would be an eligible candidate for braces due to my having a couple of implants, a bridge and crowns. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a problem tooth could be extracted on my lower jaw and my bite/dental alignment could be treated with the Invisalign. Busciglio Smiles is and has always been a phenomenal orthodontic practice. The staff always go above and beyond to deliver quality dental services which ensures a clarity of understanding as to any procedure that is needing to be conducted. Patients are also treated like family which makes it a pleasant and comforting experience in every aspect.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office was really nice. I was impressed by their efficiency. Not only were they able to schedule my son in, but his braces were put on the same day. My son is the youngest of four and all his older siblings had braces. In comparison, this was a much pleasant experience because I didn’t have to make multiple appointments and he didn’t have to go through wearing painful spacers weeks prior to getting his braces put on.

Fantastic experience: I took my son on Monday to another orthodontist and was NOT impressed with them at all. So I called Busciglio Smiles when I got home they got him the very next day ....everyone in the office was very nice told us what was happening next how long it would be for the next person to call us . The dentist himself was super nice explained everything that needed to be done with my son and he actually talked to both of us making my son feel comfortable. He goes back beginning of April to pick up his invisaligns. Glad I called . Also sitting waiting our turn I watched how fast people was going in and out waiting room time was less than 5 mins on everyone who walked in. UPDATE as of end of May my son has his invisalign went back yesterday for a check up and to get 5 more guards and again walked in signed in and he went right back. When my son went back to pick up his invisalign I took my granddaughter for her consultation and they put her top braces on the same day she's also went back for band change yesterday and will get her bottom braces in July. The staff is wonderful. I'm so glad we decided to go here for a consultation.

The staff are friendly, informative and welcoming. Our visits are always on time. Dr Busciglio is nice and great with my son. They have other locations as well but we visit the Brandon location. I recommend this practice to anyone starting their Ortho treatment.
