Dr. Soo Lee and her staff at Hoffman Estates Family Dentistry are among the very best I have ever experienced. Fantastic experience: Love Dr. Lee. She asks questions and listens and asks clarifying questions. She is thorough and has a great “bedside manner”. The hygienists in the practice are also great and stint office staff is also friendly and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Funny thing about getting older....parts wear out and need to be maintained. Years of grinding and clinching are showing up in my 60+ year old teeth. Dr Lee and staff have graciously walked me through a path of filling in raw ground down surfaces and chipped teeth so they aren't so sensitive to just about everything. A bonus, the exposed root surfaces from receding gums can be "coated" to seal off the sensitivity as well. So nice to take a sip of cold water and not hit the roof! Thank you to Dr Lee and her caring staff for making the aging process a little more comfortable along the way!

Fantastic experience: Lately, I had to get a new crown replacement to be done, Dr Lee wanted a perfectly fit crown, she re-scaled second time and asked her supplier to re-do sent crown so it fits into my mouth perfectly. I have got perfectly fit crown in my mouth, which was recently worked on and re-shaped by my Periodontist. A great job & customer service ❤️

Fantastic experience: Updated Review - 2/24/26 It’s been nearly six years since I first started seeing Dr Soo Lee and team. After all this time, I felt compelled to take a moment and reaffirm the comments I previously wrote years ago. Dr. Lee is without question the very best dentist we have seen, or frankly have even heard of, in the greater Chicago area. Where other dentists aggressively push costly, and often unnecessary, treatments, Dr Lee’s team puts their effort into listening to the real needs of the client, and only when medically warranted, recommends a procedure. Dr. Lee is the consummate professional, up to speed on all the latest advancements in dental care, is super easy to talk with, clearly cares deeply for her clients, and is quite passionate about her work; all qualities that transfer nicely to her staff. If you are in the western burbs, don’t bother “shopping around” for a dentist. Just call HEFD and be glad you did. Review from many years ago….I visited three dentists after moving to Chicagoland back in 2016. I wasn’t happy with any of them, eg too aggressive, recommended unnecessary treatment, etc. Note: I have had dental care continually since birth and am now 47 years old, so I knew my teeth were in decent shape. Frustrated, I kept searching for a new provider and thankfully found Dr. Soo Lee. Dr. Soo and her team are exceptional. She takes a very practical approach to dental care, is always willing to listen and answer questions, and has a staff of talented dental hygienists. Plus, she has an orthodontist affiliated with the clinic as well. Stop going to random dentists. If you are anywhere near the west - northwest suburbs, just call Hoffman Estates Family Dentistry. You’ll be happy you did.

Negative experience: Called to make an appointment, and they were more than happy to start setting one up for me next week. But when I told them that I was with Delta Dental, they suddenly said that they weren't accepting new clients. When I expressed my confusion, they said that Delta Dental limits the number of clients they can have. That didn't make sense to me, so I called Delta Dental myself and asked them if there is a limit, they quickly explained that there is no limit. So when I called Hoffman Estates Family Dentistry back and explained that Delta Dental had no limits on the number of clients they can have. The story quickly changed to that the Dr. is no longer accepting new clients. I asked why the story changed, and the reply was "the Dr. can sometimes do that." What? I don't think I could trust this place to tell me the truth.

Fantastic experience: Short Version: Dr. Lee and her team are 5 stars of awesomeness! If I may elaborate… The best dentist I ever had was in Werder, a small town outside Berlin, Germany. Since then, I’ve been on a quest for a great dentist in cities I have lived, San Francisco, Hawaii, Colorado, and several places in the Chicago area. None came close to the personable care and skill of my dentist in Werder. The three dentists I saw before Dr. Lee had their issues: the first lost his license, the second caused so much pain I was almost in tears (and I have a very high pain threshold), and the third seemed more interested in a Hollywood smile with a Hollywood price tag than addressing my actual needs. Then I found Dr. Lee. At last, I’ve found a dentist who genuinely cares about her patients and has the expertise to handle even unique situations. Her staff is always kind and helpful. From cleanings to crowns, Dr. Lee’s Family Dentistry in Hoffman Estates is simply the best for all your dental care needs.

Negative experience: Called in with a dental emergency and instead of being worked with or even having questions about my emergency answered. Was shooed away for unavailability. Lady who answered my call giggled at me for trying to inquire about my emergency. Very unprofessional

Negative experience: I had been a patient of this practice for decades and was never strong-armed for payment prior to the insurance coming through. Everything was fine until I retired and my new state carrier takes time to make payment. Well, they were nasty to me and wrote me a letter saying I had better come with total payments and future payment next time or I would be denied treatment. After at least 20 years of quick payments this office turned on me and made me feel like a free loader. How can a place that claims to be there to help patients turn so quickly into a money grabbing enterprise? New ownership perhaps? I understand dentists need their payment but to be so rude, uncompassionate and nasty to a long standing customer is unforgiveable. Dental mistakes such as not tightening down an implant cost me $100 to go to another dentist to drill through the crown and fix what this office caused. Rosanne at the front desk appeared to be friendly but became monstrously rude and even sent a notice that I was going to collections for a $25 bill. If they work with an insurance company they are not supposed to charge over the allowed amount. Well that didn't happen. There are better dentists around and I have found one that isn't money hungry and grubbing for every dollar.

Fantastic experience: Ugh, dental visits. But if you have to go, this a very good choice. Originally run by Dr. Thomas Hoover who was quite good but headed off to retirement....now it's Dr. Soo Lee, who is just as good. A very helpful and an accommodating staff fills out the bill.
