Fantastic experience: Making a change is not an easy decision ! It is amazing being a patient with High Country Dental. First, you have two amazing ladies greeting you, and they are highly organized ! Receiving reminders, recommendations and pathways to Superior Oral Hygene is their priority. They take the brainwork out of worrying about co-pays or insurance communications! This office is clean and new and The hygienist are quick and fun! I left my dentist after 20 years, found High Country and am going on 3 years with perfect oral health! Book an appointment an ask for Rose! Tell her Leigh Ann referred you!

They also went over insurance and cost before continuing with any service and being new to Colorado I’m so glad I referred by another client of theirs 10/10

Unfortunately, since Dr. Mullins retired, the practice is no longer private and has become somewhat corporate, and we all know what corporate does. They best hold on to Vanessa, she's their greatest asset.

About two weeks ago, Vanessa cleaned my teeth and was very gentle and caring and asked often if I was doing ok. She was the best and I hope she’ll be the one to clean my teeth from now on as I look forward to the next visit and not be nervous.

FIRST VISIT: After a terrible experience as another clinic I came to High Country on a recommendation from a friend. This team is excellent from the moment you step in the door until you leave after a stellar visit. I will be transferring my families dental care to this clinic immediately.

I went to High Country for a second opinion after an emergency dental practice recommend I extract a tooth. Dr. Barton was able to offer me a different diagnosis and treatment plan that allowed me to save my tooth. I highly recommend coming to High Country. I have anxiety around dentists offices like many other people but the staff here made my experience relaxed and as easy as possible.

Fantastic experience: My family just started going to High Country Dental this year, and while the visits/treatments may not be fun, Dr Mullins and his staff have been wonderful. Rose went out of her way to get our records from our previous dentist when they were being difficult. Rose and Kris have also helped with emergency referrals to a specialist. And Dr Mullins has taken extra time to talk with us and answer questions about recommended procedures.

Negative experience: I’m really not one to write reviews but after my most recent experience, I decided I will. In the past I can’t recall having a bad experience here. Dr. Mullins and his staff are some amazing, efficient, kind, knowledgeable, hard working individuals and overall I have a smooth and easy experience at this office! However, I booked an appointment for an exam and a cleaning. Neither of these things happened. I will spare names, but this dental hygienist is probably in her 70s, has short grey hair, and wears glasses. She is relatively new to the office, and she informed me she’s been here for 5 months (it is March 2024). She took my x-rays and took a quick look at my gums. And that’s it! The reason I’m writing this review is because of her lack of efficiency during the entirety of the appointment. I can ignore her lack of good bedside manner/customer service, and how she loudly condescendingly answered the few questions I had for the whole office to hear. A bit humiliating, but oh well. What frustrated me was that she was inefficient with her time and blamed the receptionist. After she took x-rays of my teeth, she told me she won’t do a cleaning, as her reason for it was, “because I only have an hour!” After she checked my gums, she said I will have to reschedule for an exam. So for the entirety of the hour, she took x-ray pictures of my teeth and poked at my gums. Which took about 15 minutes in total. In short, I think she should shadow a seasoned dental hygienist at this office to work on time efficiency and customer service. Again, Dr. Mullins and the rest of his staff are amazing, kind, wonderful, and efficient. This office as a whole works very well, which is why I’m not giving them a 1 star for ONE individual. I think this individual needs more time, training, and experience at this office, and then should be fine.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend High Country Dental. I recently had a new crown procedure performed and it went much smoother than I expected. Dr Mullins was spot on his explanation of the process so no surprises. I felt no pain. I did not wait long to be attended. Rose at the front desk checked in quickly and she would call me to provide updates when my crown was received from the lab. The cost estimate was provided and did not change once the procedure was completed. Each team member at High Country Dental made my crown procedure a pleasant process.
