Fantastic experience: My daughter had all her wisdom teeth out on Monday and is doing great! We were worried because her wisdom teeth were getting close to the nerves. Dr. Ivey is a great oral surgeon & he has a great anesthesia and pain management protocol.

Fantastic experience: My teenage son saw Dr. Ivey for wisdom teeth extraction. Each time we went to the office they were punctual and efficient yet never rushed us. Dr Ivey connected with my son from the first appointment and that made the whole process go smoothly. My son was feeling some discomfort a week after surgery and the office fit us in right away and Dr Ivey solved the problem. I had some special needs with the billing department and they went out of their way to accommodate me. I’ll definitely be back for my younger son and any other dental needs this office can help us with.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is excellent, both in person and on phone. They really take the time to listen and enthusiastically go the extra mile for anything you need. I had put off my extraction for 3 years due to mainly anxiety. My tooth became infected so my first call was to Dr. Ivey’s office, I was blessed to have Victoria answer and help me not only get scheduled, but went above and beyond trying to help me figure out where to go to get antibiotics before my appointment with Dr. Ivey. I called her multiple times that daytimes, and each time she treated me with such kindness. You could hear how happy she was to help me in her voice. She also took the time to text me and check up on me. That’s above and beyond impeccable patient care. The receptionist at the front desk, Sarah, was an absolute bubble of happiness to be there and to help, big welcoming smile when I walked through the door. I’m thankful I chose Dr. Ivey and his team to take care of me. I was a complicated patient to do this procedure on and keep me comfortable. Dr. Ivey took much needed and appreciated extra steps to care for me as best as possible. They made me feel so comfortable I had no anxiety and it was just as if I was getting a cavity filled when he was extracting it. I know I would not have gotten the most excellent care had I gone anywhere else! He has a higher skill set than most other oral surgeon’s, I highly recommend to see him for your first consult and not to bother with additional ones. I got his name through my dentist. Fantastic experience: Dr. Ivey and his staff are an incredible team! My husband chose Dr. Ivey to remove his wisdom teeth and had a great experience. It was a very smooth process from the consultation to after surgery communication. So when our oldest needed her wisdom teeth out a couple of months later, I knew we wanted to bring her into Dr. Ivey. Again, a very smooth process with great communication, transparency, care and professionalism. One particular tooth was difficult to remove and we’ve followed up with Dr. Ivey and his staff a couple of times. They have all been very responsive and proactive, even Dr. Ivey when he was out of the office for a holiday! But today, they truly exceeded any expectations by getting a prescription to our daughter who is traveling out of state AND they called in a favor with an oral surgeon to get her seen today, on vacation, in another state!! His staff made all the calls and arranged everything. Is this concierge medicine?! Nope, just the level of care provided by Dr. Ivey and his amazing team! When I asked how I could possibly thank them, they said they appreciated the offer, but that they were just doing their jobs and making sure that our daughter got the same level of care that she would receive here at home. Whoa! Heart full, mind blown and beyond grateful for a truly exceptional group of professionals.

Fantastic experience: Ivey is by far the absolute best Oral Surgeon I could’ve chosen during this extensive journey of mine. The level and quality of care, communication, and professionalism is unmatched. From the very beginning of my treatment, I always felt like more than just a patient. After my bone graft surgery in September, I experienced an incredibly difficult recovery and was in an immense amount of pain for several weeks. At one point, the pain became so severe that I went to the ER in the middle of the night to seek out relief from the insufferable amount of pain I was enduring at the time. Dr. Ivey immediately got me into the office the very same day, administered a steroid injection to help reduce the inflammation and pain, and prescribed additional pain medication to ensure I was as comfortable as possible as I continued to heal. Throughout that entire experience, he was compassionate, reassuring, accommodating, empathetic, understanding, and genuinely invested in my well-being. He took the time to answer every question, concern, doubt and fear I had, and I never once felt dismissed, overlooked or unseen. When I returned for my full arch restoration in February, the recovery was thankfully much smoother, but the level of care from Dr. Ivey and his entire team remained just as exceptional. They continued to be incredibly attentive, supportive, and available whenever I had questions or needed reassurance. One gesture that I’ll never forget was receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers at my home the day after surgery. It was such a thoughtful surprise and gesture that made me feel truly seen, celebrated for making it through such a major milestone, and genuinely cared for as a person—not just as a patient. This journey has been lengthly, emotional, at times debilitating and challenging, but most importantly, life-changing. I cannot imagine going through it with anyone else. Dr. Ivey and his team consistently went above and beyond in every aspect of my care. Their kindness, compassion, expertise, and dedication gave me confidence during some of the most difficult moments of my recovery. Fantastic experience: Extraction of an upper molar: Couldn’t have been smoother, the numbing cocktail was perfect and did NOT cause the usual heart racing and stress. The offending tooth was removed in less than 5 min. I had one Advil as a precaution, no other pain meds in the healing process! Hardly any bleeding. Dr. Ivey know his stuff! Great job! Amazing!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ivey and his team are thorough, precise and very amazing at communication not to mention the execution of your procedure. My own personal experience with wisdom tooth extraction was amazing. Dr. Ivey consulted with me around the procedure and anesthesia options. He provided an amazing procedure experience on the day of by saying, "in about 20 seconds, you will be very sleepy." After that I only remember waking up in the elevator on the way down to my transportation. I highly recommend Dr. Ivey for your next oral surgery experience. If you have concerns about pain management during the procedure, rest assured you will only experience a small amount of pain, then you will likely remember nothing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ivey was great. All my procedural and financial options were thoroughly explained. He took the time to personally give me a followup call that evening. Staff was friendly and knowedgable. His nurse, Kathy, was very proficient at keeping me relaxed, comfortable, and informed during every step of the procedure. Her personal touch definitely made this as stress free as a trip to the oral surgeon could be.

Fantastic experience: Accommodating, Reassuring, Personable. I had a wonderful experience at Ivey Oral Surgery. I had an urgent dental situation and the pain became excruciating on a weekend. Dr. Ivey personally called me on a Saturday and was able to move my Monday consult to a consult with immediate procedure to follow. He gave me some helpful pointers to get through the weekend as well. Everyone at the office was wonderful. I have high dental anxiety and really appreciated everyone’s concern and patience. Shout out to Taylor. She was one-on-one with me throughout my procedure. She listened to me and personalized my care. She voiced each concern to Dr. Ivey and they paid special attention to prevent any nausea. This was the first dental procedure where I did not get sick after sedation. Taylor made me feel so comfortable and safe. Dr. Ivey called later that evening to check on me which was such a nice touch. His planning and customized treatment made for a smooth recovery as well. I had everything I needed to be comfortable and ensure good pain control. Im grateful for their help.

Negative experience: EDIT: To clarify, I saw Dr. Ivey when he worked with Brian Fangman at Altitude Oral Health in Denver. Leaving a review that is YEARS overdue. I saw Dr. Ivey at another practice in Denver, Colorado. He was referred by another dentist when I had this horrible mystery tooth and jaw pain after getting some fillings done. I was super eager to figure out what was causing this debilitating pain and hopefully find an answer. After one 30 minute appointment, Dr. Ivey had diagnosed it as TMD and said it must have to do with trauma to my jaw from years ago (probably when I was a kid). I had described my pain as a sharp, throbbing pain that was located by the tooth I had recently gotten a filling done on and the pain was spreading to my jaw. I had asked, “Do you think this could be a tooth infection?” He had replied, “No, it’s likely not a tooth infection and I don’t think your dentist did anything wrong.” A weird comment at the end there but, okay. He prescribed me Amitriptyline to manage the pain and I was on it for almost 2 years. One day, I was traveling with my husband and I accidentally forgot to take my medication. Normally, if I skipped the medication and remembered to take it later on the same day, I wouldn’t have experienced much pain. However, I missed a whole day and took it the next morning. Quickly, the pain emerged and it was WORSE than ever before. Regardless of me taking my medication, it was not working anymore. At the time, I didn’t have dental insurance so I found another dentist who I used my hard-earned savings to pay for out of pocket and I am so glad that I did. In the same amount of time that I had met with Dr. Ivey, they were able to locate a heinous abscess that had eaten it’s way through my jawbone. I paid thousands of dollars to have an emergency root canal done on my birthday and thankfully, over time the bone in my jaw had been restored once the root canal had been completed and about 6 months had passed. I was glad that it did because I would have been facing a tooth implant if it didn’t heal properly. I’m honestly not sure why Dr. Ivey has so many positive reviews…he was in my opinion, one of the most unhelpful and unfriendly people I have ever met. I don’t know if the way I was treated had to do with me being a Medicaid patient but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was. In case my name is not recognized in their system and my review is about to be taken down, I was a patient that was seen before I had gotten married under my maiden name.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Dr. Ivey to anyone needing dental implants. My original implants were placed by another dentist and 4 of the 5 implants had failed and the prosthetic had cracked in two places. Dr. Ivey took me through all of the steps of removal of implants, bone grafting and then placement of the new implants. He answered all my questions so that I, as a lay person, could understand. He was always professional and his staff is wonderful! I only wish I had known about him 7 years ago!

Negative experience: Really not impressed after my initial consult there to discuss extraction of four wisdom teeth. I was sat down in front of an eight minute video at the start where the video goes over generic information about extractions. Then the doctor came in, didn’t introduce himself, and ignored me while he talked to the computer AI system to write down what he was seeing in my X-rays before explaining anything to me. When he finally turned to talk to me he used a lot of medical terminology without explaining what it meant, threw a ton of information at me, and ran out of the room before I could ask more than one question. I have a more complicated case as my wisdom tooth is close to a nerve and I really didn’t feel like I was given the time of day to comprehend the information provided, much less ask any questions about risks pertaining to my particular case. I do not recommend wasting your time with an initial consult here. I will be going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Have had 2 incredible experiences with Dr. Ivey. Have had two infected teeth removed with him and both times I felt extremely comfortably and the process was made easy. The second time around I went, I used laughing gas and was nervous about being awake, but getting my tooth pulled took no time and the process was simple and painless. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about Dr Ivey and all of his staff. I was in need of implants and yesterday I had the top teeth procedure. All my consultations leading up to my procedure were thorough and detailed and I always left with information overload. In a good way. Dr Ivey had me do a lot of pre-op prep including collagen and protein shots, mouth rinses and antibiotics to help me have the best outcome. I felt very well taken care of all day yesterday by Dr Ivey and all of his wonderful staff. His follow through and follow up is so detailed and he is very patient with answering questions and concerns. One day later I am in no pain, drinking and eating all my liquid proteins he advised me to get and grateful that I am in the care of his practice. Thank you so much! Update: OCTOBER 31, 2024 Yesterday I had my lower full implant surgery.I have been seeing Dr Ivey for 9 months for complete mouth restoration...he is exceptional and his staff from the front desk, to billing, to his asssistant nurses are the best. I would highly recommend his practice for their professionalism, kindness, compassion and attention to detail. Their thoroughness and preparation pre operative as well as post operative has made my time with them a complete success. A special thank you to Amber who was my assistant yesterday. Doctor Ivy even warned me ahead of time probably wouldn’t be pleasant at my age. However, and surprisingly it was not bad at all. Very minimal pain and very easily managed. Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction by Dr. Ivey. He is very knowledgeable of the latest dental techniques, highly skilled, patient, and attentive. This experience took approximately 30 minutes with only two second of mild discomfort. I couldn’t believe how well the procedure and my quick recovery time went.

Fantastic experience: Just had all 4 wisdom teeth removed 2 weeks ago, and I can't believe how painless it was. Dr. Ivey discussed all of my options and gave me his recommendations, which i took, and I'm so glad I did. Literally zero pain. Sure, there was some normal irritation after eating food and not riding/squirting with salt water, but a couple ibuprofen kept that at bay. I never touched the stronger pills, because I never needed them. The first recommendation he offered that helped me the most was a 72- hour painkiller injection in my jaw at the time of surgery, called Exparel. The second recommendation he offered was some sort of stem cell treatment that helped my new mouth holes heal quicker and not be as inflamed after surgery. I highly recommend those treatments and I highly recommend Dr. Ivey and his staff.

I was very nervous to get this taken care of, but Dr. Ivey and his staff were incredible. I had read his reviews, and people are not exaggerating when they are singing his praises. I left the consultation well informed. Day of surgery I was put at ease the minute I walked in. I was also having an issue with insurance and they are helping me take care of the billing as well. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr. Ivey for a gum biopsy and minor surgery. Dr. Ivey was excellent! He thoroughly explained the procedure and called me not long after the procedure to ask how I was doing and if I had any questions. He also called me with the biopsy results. Fantastic experience: Dr. Ivey is an amazing oral surgeon who is truly an expert and does the right thing for his patients. I was referred to Dr. Ivey due to having a failed dental implant that was improperly placed by a dentist in Florida. Dr. Ivey considered my entire medical history when discussing placing a new implant, which was a missing factor that caused the initial implant to fail. Dr. Ivey was clear in developing a new implant plan that was sensitive to my medical history and was straightforward in answering my many questions. I felt so supported throughout the entire multi-step process. Ultimately, thanks to Dr. Ivey's knowledgeable approach, I now have a successful implant. Dr. Ivey put an end to a three-year saga surrounding the failed implant and I'm VERY thankful that I was referred to his office specifically. Looking forward to a lifetime with my new implant. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience working with Dr. Ivey and his staff. I had my wisdom teeth removed. The front office staff was very kind and professional and happily addressed all my questions. The nursing staff was also very kind and professional. The entire office was very clean and well taken care of. They made all the risks and outcomes very clear to me in regard to my surgery but they also assured me that they will do everything in their ability to reduce any risks or poor outcomes. Dr. Ivey was very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. My surgery was a success, it went much better than I had anticipated. I was extremely nervous for the surgery but they addressed all my concerns and took exceptional care of me. I don't think I could have found a better oral surgey center to go to.

As we chatted about the procedure and my options for treatment, my mind was further set at ease as Dr. Ivey came into the conversation. Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Ivey and his team was wonderful. From the beginning of finding out I had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth out, I was walked through every step. His team was very helpful with everything. On the day of my procedure, everything was explained thoroughly to me, which took all my fear and anxiety away. I am doing well after the procedure and am very happy with my choice to go here. Dr. Ivey even checked on me a few hours after to procedure to see how I am feeling and if I have any questions. My brother and I have both gone to Dr. Ivey and I could not recommend him and his team more!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by my orthodontist to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. As like most, I was fearful and I was very skeptical about this procedure. From my consultation all the way through to the procedure it was by far the best experience I could ask for. Fantastic experience: Great experience. Was referred for oral surgery work to replace failed root canals with permanent implants, and needed bone grafting to support the implants. Office staff and sedation implant coordinator Amber are all friendly, easy to work with, and flexible. Dr. Ives is a true professional, but also takes the time to answer all questions and set me at ease with the procedures being done. I'm very happy with this referral and would recommend their practice to anyone needing similar work done.

Positive experience: The initial consult was great. Very comprehensive. The procedure was great as well. Dr Ivey did an amazing job. My only concern was a lack of discharge instructions. I was grateful I was able to do extraction and implant in the same day. But it felt like I didn’t get the proper discharge instructions. I’m sure it was a one off. As everything else I experienced was five stars.

Fantastic experience: I contacted Dr. Ivey’s office in need of a molar extraction. They were able to see me the next day for a consultation and same day extraction. In addition, I had a bone graft done in order to receive an implant in a few months. Using blood they drew from me, my stem cells were combined with the bone graft material to accelerate the bone growth and lessen the pain of recovery from the molar extraction. I am very thankful to have been referred to Dr. Ivey.
