Fantastic experience: Super impressed with Dr. Richardson and her team. After being referred by my dentist I never thought the answer would be anything other then do all the things I could do. Instead it was very reasonable. It was you know... I wouldn't recommend this, you should really consider holding off... and check out this one other thing you are having an issue with. Dr. Richardson was kind, patient and explained everything in detail.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a gum graft procedure with Dr. Richardson, and for what is typically an unpleasant experience, she made it as comfortable and positive as possible. From start to finish, she went above and beyond in her care. She personally followed up with phone calls and text messages the day after my procedure to make sure I was healing well and feeling comfortable. Dr. Richardson and her team thoroughly explained what to expect on the day of the procedure, as well as throughout the healing process, which helped me feel informed and at ease. The office staff is incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and detail-oriented, and they were always available to answer my questions. I am so grateful to have found a practice that genuinely cares about its patients. The entire team treats you like family and provides exceptional care every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. Richardson and her office to anyone in need of periodontal treatment. Thank you all so much for everything!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Richardson and her staff. I had a traumatic experience with a dentist as a child so going to any kind of dental practitioner is a scary thing for me. Dr. Richardson and her staff were kind and patient and explained everything to me and eased my fears. The procedure was extensive, but done with great skill. Dr. Richardson called me every day after my surgery for a few days to make sure I was OK and even helped me figure out the post-ops meds (that I was doing wrong) and after that I was pain free! She's smart, kind and really cares about her patients. And her staff is wonderful and so pleasant to work with. I would recommend her/ her practice 100% to anyone needing periodontal work.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Richardson for a second opinion regarding a tooth that might require extraction and an implant. From the moment I arrived, Dr. Richardson and her entire staff were professional, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Thanks to the state-of-the-art diagnostic tools available at this office, Dr. Richardson was able to carefully evaluate the tooth. She provided a very thorough assessment and gave me a high degree of confidence that attempting to save the tooth is the best course of treatment. I’m very grateful for the level of care and expertise I received and would highly recommend Dr. Richardson to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate periodontist.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! I contacted them a year ago for a second opinion for a price for a gum graft surgery. There cost quoted was outrageous, and I wasn't interested in pursuing. They then sent me a bill. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this place. Long story short I had a bunch of injuries over the years to my front teeth. Dr Petroche was my surgeon and I have to admit I was not the easiest patient to deal with at first. I had to get the surgery but I wasn’t ready to quite nicotine or soda. The first surgery did not go well, that was because I did not take the post op instructions seriously enough. It was a bone graft that failed, so I went and got a second opinion which made me feel uncomfortable. So I called Dr Petroche and we went over everything together, she was kind hearted, empathetic, passed no judgement, and most importantly she was professional. In that moment I realized I need to let her do her job. So we did a second surgery with a bone graft as well as a gum graft. I followed the post op instructions to the letter. Including giving up nicotine for 2 and a half weeks (that sucked). This time though the surgery was a complete success. Dr Petroche gave me her cell # during the first surgery and she was always available to field my concerns throughout this process. Honestly, she was just really patient with me. I’ll always be grateful for that. Last thing, the entire staff there are amazing. The front desk Gals (Hannah & Randell) are incredibly sweet and kind. Matt the dental assistant (sorry Matt if I got your title wrong) was also incredibly kind. Liz the office manager, she’s a total rockstar! She worked with my billing situation and handled everything with discretion and grace. There was a mix up with one of the payments (it was a significant amount), and she pulled me aside and quietly and kindly told me, as opposed to voicing it loud enough for the entire office to hear or giving me an attitude. Instead she was super nice about it and once again, professional. Hopefully I never have to go here again, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing if it means getting a chance to see all these wonderful people again. Thank you guys, you truly are the best at what you do. I’ll always be Grateful for the folks who work at Denver Periodontics.

Fantastic experience: I am so scared and nervous but decided to do the implant without meds. Dr Richardson was EXCELLENT. Very understanding and compassionate. Bobby (i think was her name) the assistant was also very kind and comforting. Highly recommend this place and these people. Thank you for being so understanding.

Negative experience: What does not make me happy is our experience. We went in, on recommendation from our Dentist, so, we believed we were having a Consultation. They billed our Insurance for an Exam, and it was not entirely covered, so we were stuck with paying for this Exam. To have clear communication in this day and age is definitely an experience going to the way side. Potential clients should be immediately informed when a place only does Exams, and not Consultations. I will not give my business to those who practice bad ethics. I was told "it is out of our control to know whether or not Insurance pays for the Exam." However, what should be in this best interest of this practice, and in their control, is to communicate clearly, and inform people up front to check with their Insurance before booking an appointment with Denver Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: While under the care of Dr. Heather Richardson at Denver Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Centennial CO, about a week following surgery, my pain began to increase over the weekend. When the pain became unbearable on Sunday morning, I texted Dr. Richardson and within minutes, she had arranged for me to meet her and an her assistant, Bobbi, at her office in about an hour. Once we all arrived, they spent over an hour opening my wound and removing the infection that had set in and Dr. Richardson ordered a round of antibiotics. As a result, I slept that night for the first time in the last few days, woke on Monday morning feeling much better, and am again on the mend. Dr Richardson called to check on me at bedtime on Sunday evening and checked in with me again on Monday morning. I am a retired nurse and have never experienced more caring and compassionate medical professionals than Dr. Richardson and her assistant, and I highly recommend Dr. Richardson and her entire staff.

Fantastic experience: This was an understandably difficult experience for me transitioning from just a few teeth left in my upper mouth (they all had to come out) to a full set of gleaming new teeth. However, Dr. Petroche was truly wonderful to work with - she was professional yet so compassionate and met my wished-for deadline of having my teeth in place before my departure on an overseas trip. Fantastic experience: Dr. Richardson has been fantastic over the few years that I’ve been her patient. She really understands my unique situation and how to best help me for the short and long-term. Her advice and recommendations are clear and easy to understand and when we’ve followed the plan good outcomes have happened. I’ve also been able to see Dr. Petroche when it was a better fit for my schedule and I’ve had continuity in care between both of them. Over the years I’ve unfortunately found poor dentists. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Richardson when I was seeking a second opinion because I wasn’t happy with what I had been hearing elsewhere. Negative experience: Utterly useless! I had a gum infection that was staring her right in the face but she missed it. IMO, she has absolutely no common sense and she doesn't follow through with promises. Pretty face and that's about it! Cost me $$$ with nothing to show for it. AVOID HER!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience all around! I met with Dr. Petroche to discuss gum grafts after having 2 other estimates with other periodontists. She was extremely patient and explained everything about the gum grafting procedure and put me at ease about the entire process. Liz sat down with me and explained the insurance and finances and this was above and beyond what any other office had done. My procedure was a great success- I had zero to minimal pain and Dr. Petroche even answered my texts on a Saturday making sure I had what I needed for optimal recovery. I am now about 6 weeks and everything has healed beautifully. Every member of their office has been kind and patient and the overall experience has been excellent. Highly recommend without reservation Dr. Petroche and her team. Thank you!!

Negative experience: Had a very unnecessarily lengthy consultation (over an hour), for a simple tooth extraction, with Dr. Petroche. She then required an unnecessary CT scan to be done at that same time which cost me $320. I had consultations with two other practices. Neither of them even mentioned a CT scan at all. Needless to say, she got the bronze medal. Dr. Richardson, I don't care to discuss this further with you unless you intend on refunding me the cost of the CT scan that no other consultation required. I was told by Dr. Petroche that it could be paid for at the time of services if I chose to go with your practice, but then I was required to pay for it at the time of checkout. Maybe get your team all on the same page. Already a waste of my time and money.

Fantastic experience: In preparation for a major, non-dental related, surgery, it was time to get a comprehensive cleaning as to help boost my immunity. Dr. Heather Richardson and her assistants are top professionals. Not only have they mastered their dental and related medical educations, they also have the physical talent and craftsmanship to clean, craft, and repair comprehensive periodontic issues. Dr. Heather and her staff are charming, easy to chat with, and detail-oriented. In my 2 hour session, I opted for no drugs. I toughed it out but they made it easy and were alert to hitting any sensitive areas, which only happened once - and they stopped immediately to numb it. If you have any hesitation to fix your dental/oral issues, please don't put it off any longer, and book Dr. Heather to get on to healthier living - and also so it doesn't cause other problems with your health!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Petroche for a complex situation out of their normal expertise. From the very first phone call, to consultation, to procedure, and then to an “emergency” check-up, I can’t express how seamless and friendly the service was. It’s always unfortunate to have an unexpected procedure and expense last minute, but the comfort of knowing I was in good hands made it all worth while. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have received very good care from Dr. Maria Petroche and her assistant Nancy last month! Dr. Petroche is very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease during a procedure I was nervous about. I appreciate her taking the time to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable. Fantastic experience: I was referred to this practice for restorative work on a front tooth. This involved a total of four visits including a comprehensive post op. cleaning. I am very pleased with the outcome. I appreciated the good humor of all the staff. Also the detailed explanation of the procedure and Dr. Petroche's professional work for which I'm grateful. The practice also appears to use quite up-to-date equipment.

Positive experience: I was referred to Denver Perio by my dentist. I still like my dentist but I will not be going back to Denver Perio. I have no doubt they are competent technicians at what they do but they are pricey and overly proud (maybe even arrogant) about their work. After paying over $4000 upfront for a prescribed set of procedures, they bill me another $476 for follow-up stuff that should’ve been included in my original price. but after acknowledging that mistake, they stick me with another $290 charge because they forgot to bill me originally for self-medication. Medication that I had to pick up at the pharmacy and take myself prior to the procedure. So if you have a lot of money and can afford to get your gums, worked on in the expensive rent district of the Denver tech center, then go ahead give Denver Perio a try but watch your bills and skip the self-medication charge. Just take your own temazepam prior to your procedures.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my dentist for some gum recession. I absolutely loved Dr. Petroche. She walked me through the whole procedure, what to expect after, and what to do to heal properly. The staff are extremely friendly, caring, and quite funny. As much as I enjoyed them all, I do hope I won’t have to return in the future but if you are looking for a place, this is the one!

Fantastic experience: If you need periodontal work, this is the place. Dr. Richardson is an excellent periodontal surgeon, and their staff is great. I've had major periodontal surgery twice there, and the experience has been very good. The hygienist, Lindsey, is also very good.

My experience with her has been nothing but AMAZING! She is patient, caring, and always there to answer questions. The staff is just as equally AMAZING! Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Maria Petroche for oral surgery, she is amazing, kind caring very pleasant in fact everyone in the office is very very nice. They make you feel calm and comfortable, I would never go to another Periodontics out there. She is professional and very sweet. I would never go to another Periodontics out there! Fantastic experience: Heather Richardson has been the most compassionate and concerned MD I have ever worked with. She calls me weekly to check on me, even while on vacation. I would recommend her to ANYONE who needs dental implants or bone grafting.

Negative experience: Stay away from Dr. Richardson! Totally unprofessional and she is more interested in collecting her fees than her patients well being. I paid her over $10,500 for "two hours" of gum treatment which obviously equates to over $5K/hour. Months later, her office calls me in for an appointment which I assumed was merely to check on things. Waiting in her office parking lot due to the virus, her office gal finally calls me on my cell and tells me "I can't come in the office until I pay another $1,800". And I said, "what happened to the $10K I already paid and what's the $1800 for?"...No response. I left and turned this matter over to my attorney, who said, "I have a claim for excessive fees and perhaps malpractice". For $10K I'm not sure I want to waste my time in costly litigation but through all this, I did find an incredible periodontist who genuinely cares about his patients and and their well-being and has done an unbelievable dental work on me for considerably less money. I suggest you go see him, Ryan Jenkins DDS and stay away from Richardson. A very disconcerting experience with her and her office staff. I just noticed what Dr. Richardson noted below. First, everything I said above is the absolute truth and completely factual. Moreover, when my attorney addressed my concerns to her she had her attorney fire back threatening me with a defamation lawsuit if I didn't remove my web comments. That won't happen. Fantastic experience: Where to start....I have received treatment from Dr. Richardson when she was with Perfect Teeth over 10 years ago. I had an implant done, and was very happy back when it was done. I (CAPITAL/BOLD) Mismanaged my treatment plan laid out by Dr. Richardson, deployed twice to Iraq, and decided to only have a temp crown for over 10 years. This resulted in bone loss which my general dentist would not load down the implant with a permanent crown as it would have been a waste of money. I returned to Dr. Richardson and started a new treatment plan. She removed my old implant, performed a bone graft, and then a new implant 4 months later. First, lets break down the procedures. For the most part painless, and if there was pain it was taken care of immediately. Everything was discussed, questions answered, and clear communication throughout the entire process. I had a special circumstance as I was in the middle of a transition and moving across the country. Dr. Richardson went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, and requests. I have never seen a specialist work so closely with my general dentist on a treatment plan to work things out so that I could transition back home. The communication between her and my general (who is also about to get a stellar review) is something I am still speechless about. I am still not out of the woods yet as my implant has only been in for two weeks, but everyone who has seen the placement, x-rays, etc said it looks perfect. Second, let's talk about all the negative reviews on price, payment, etc. My general statement is "You get what you pay for". Are these treatments typically pricey, YES! If I cared about price I would drove my happy butt down to Mexico, cross the border (and my fingers), and get an implant in Tijuana. I however care more about the effectiveness, safety, and care I receive. For the people who think they hide prices, or are money hungry are just complete ignorant and wrong. I was communicated with every step of the way of what things were going to cost, etc. Also when they found out that my insurance was not going to cover a penny of my treatment plan it was communicated with me immediately to make sure I was comfortable with everything. Last I have to give a shoutout to the entire staff in Dr. Richardson's office! The front desk ladies are the best! Friendly, helpful, always willing to pick up the phone and get questions answered that needed to be answered. To the back office trying to get insurance companies to do anything to help me out. To all of Dr. Richardson's dental assistants who assisted with my surgery and appointments. Everyone greets you with a smile, and has a warm welcome. Hats off to the entire staff in that office for what they do. For anyone who has had a bad experience with them let me give you a word of advice. Treat someone well and with respect, and it will be reciprocated. Treat someone like a jerk and you should be kicked in the face and have to receive more dental work. I have had a lot of dental work since I was 8 years old (Yes I was that kid). So take it from me with all the offices I have seen over the years. There is no where else I will go to have perio work done. Yes that means FLYING ACROSS THE COUNTRY to be seen and treated by Dr. Richardson.

Fantastic experience: So thankful for Dr. Richardson's professionalism. Our son endured a very serious injury to his jaw while out of state nearly 2 years ago. We reached out to Dr. Richardson, our periodontist, for guidance. She took extra time out of her busy schedule to steer us in the right direction. We picked our son up at the airport and took him straight to the hospital where his oral surgeon was waiting for his arrival - thanks to Dr. Richardson. He then endured a nearly 6 hour surgery. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Richardson for her guidance and compassion towards our family during this traumatic time. She also helped us find the right orthodontist to address Will's post-injury challenges, and we've been so thankful for that too. Dr. Richardson really cares about her patients and it shows in every way. I would highly recommend Dr. Richardson for any of your periodontal needs!! Fantastic experience: I just wanted to share. This place is very clean they have accommodated us in this very hard time of COVID. The practice was nothing but clean and safe! And the decor is beautiful- and I know that is petty now, but someday again we will care about the decor and the feel of an office. The staff is warm and welcoming and that is hard to do now with masks and during this time when really everything, including getting food and essentials is such a huge process. And very few service people I encounter are as kind as we were before all this. Dr. Richardson seems to have a wonderful staff and they seems to work so well together. Bravo! Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience being treated by Dr Richardson. I had previously had a gum graft surgery from a different doc that failed. That surgery was pretty painful. I went to Dr. Richardson to have her complete a second gum graft in the same area. This time the surgery was painless, quick, and effective! She is highly skilled and delivered amazing results. Fantastic experience: While the idea of having permanent teeth pulled is not only stressful, it can be a very emotional time for some of us. Dr. Richardson was, simply put, amazing!! She made me feel very comfortable about my decision and I’m actually looking for forward to the continued treatment with her and her team as they help me get my teeth back in excellent condition that I can manage and hopefully eliminate any further mouth surgeries. In any case, Dr. Richardson will be the only periodontist I will be seeing. It’s worth the 5 1/2 hour drive over mountain passes... even in the winter months!

She also takes time to develop appropriate empirically based treatment plans. She takes as much time as you want to explain and doesn’t get frustrated when you ask questions. I am about to start my first portion of my treatment, so I cannot yet comment on outcome but so far, she seems much more thorough than my first opinion and in a similar price range. Update: I’ve now gone through 3 portions of my treatment and I would still give Dr. Kim 5 stars. She is gentle but good at getting things done quickly. I really expected to have a lot of discomfort, but my experience was pretty painless so far. She has a great bedside manner, as does her staff (very friendly). If you are trying to decide where to go for periodontic treatment, you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Kim.

Dr. Kim was very thorough in explaining the x-rays and all options in an easy-to-understand manner. She has helped us with a family member who has frontal temporal dementia. He has deep pockets and needed a cleaning that the dentist didn’t feel comfortable with. Dr. Richardson didn’t just take him as a patient for a cleaning but looked further to see that he had other issues. She has been thoughtful and very kind in her approach. The women who work at the front desk are friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Richardson is extremely smart and has a terrific bedside manner. She helped me with my invisiline program by coordinating with my orthodontist and dentist and also I got gum surgery yesterday and so far it has gone well. Dr. Richardson worked with me to make sure all my needs were met and the follow up has been great so far.

Positive experience: I was very happy with my procedure. The cost ended up a bit more then I expected because they had to do some extra bite adjustments on a few teeth. I was surprised when I saw the final bill but I am so happy that they did the adjustments that I'll deal with paying the extra cost. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because their website says they take care credit and they do not anymore. They say they've been trying to have that removed from the site for months. They do prefer that payments are paid in full by end of the procedure, they were kind enough to allow me to make payments. Overall I still had an amazing experience here.

Fantastic experience: Every person I encountered on my first visit were so very nice! I get really nervous at any kind of doctors office and they were very understanding. They made sure I was comfortable and that I understood all of the information I needed to understand. I did need a sip of water while laid back in the chair and I had to sit up from an incline, they didn’t even laugh when I looked like a baby elephant getting out of a mud puddle! I was given options on how best to move forward that that would work best for me. The first Periodontist I saw did not go well. I’m glad I got a second opinion. If I had gone here first I wouldn’t have needed a second opinion.

Negative experience: I am extremely frustrated with this office. I received a full examnation in November 2018 and was told I need a deep clean. They couldn’t schedule the deep clean for 6 months. I am still waiting. If you try to call they do not answer their phone. They are closed on Mondays and only open 4 days a week. If I had not already spent the money for the intensive examination, I would definitely find another Periodontist who is more responsive and shows some concern for their patients.

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old son had a receding gum on a tooth and he needed graft surgery to save and protect his tooth. Dr. Heather Richardson and the entire staff took great care of my son! through the surgery and recovery! After almost three weeks his stiches are out and he is doing well! He has a little more time to completely recover but many thanks to everyone at Denver Periodontics and Implant Dentistry for all of their care and help!
