Negative experience: Had a cavity filled and Dr hit a nerve. I complained for weeks and nothing was done. I told them my bite was off. The filling was grainy and I could not bite down on left side. Finally switched to a new dental office and by the time they saw me, I needed a root canal because of the filling done by West Pasco Family Dental. Yet, they still continue to send me bills. And I have yet to hear back from Dr. Nielsen who did a poor job on my filling. Stay away from dental office unless you want to leave in pain and rack up dental bills.

Fantastic experience: They have very friendly staff and dentists. Normally, I'm pretty nervous going to the dentist, but it feels much better coming here.

Negative experience: My experiences with the hygienists themselves have always been positive. However, the office staff has been nothing short of frustrating. Over the past year and a half, I’ve been rescheduled or had appointments canceled at the last minute on three separate occasions, despite them being scheduled months in advance. On one occasion, I was told, "we scheduled you on a day the hygienist was off." Most recently, my appointment on 4/15/2025 was rescheduled with less than a week's notice, and I was informed they couldn’t offer me another appointment until August. This lack of consideration is absolutely frustrating. I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but the complete lack of urgency in offering any sooner alternatives or even a reasonable compromise is baffling. When I expressed my frustration and asked about the possibility of finding a different time, the receptionist gave an indifferent response. Her tone was flat and uninterested, as if she were eager to end the conversation, likely to scroll through her phone or engage in other distractions. Frankly, this is not what I expect from customer service. Alina—if that is indeed your name—you would benefit greatly from some interpersonal communication training. Empathy and a genuine desire to help your clients would go a long way in improving the overall experience. Now you’ll have more time to stuff your face and scroll through your phone, since you’ll be losing my business and at least three others in my family as well. The customer service here is beyond disappointing. I would not recommend this office, especially considering their apparent overbooking and understaffing issues. I suggest looking elsewhere for dental care.

Fantastic experience: I was very appreciative that because of my schedule I was able to be seen for a teeth cleaning within 45 minutes of my call. The dental hygienist did a terrific and thorough job of removing plaque and tartar from the problem areas of my teeth.

Positive experience: Good service but getting too expensive. $75 copay on top of what the dental insurance pay for a simple cleaning is too much for me to continue to pay. Will look for another dentist with better pricing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nelson and his assistant Sara helped me with my appointment. I came in worried about a tooth chipping but Sara was wonderful and assured me that everything was okay and nothing to be too concerned about, they checked my teeth out and got me out the door in no time!

Positive experience: They were friendly, and I think the work was good (how do you really know?), but they tried to up sell everything. I felt like I was at a used car sales lot.

Negative experience: Your staff is very nice but your prices are extreme. I will be seeking a second opinion. If better prices aren't found, I will be forced to live with what I have and do the best that I can self performing.

The whole office seems to be just okay- nothing special going for it. I ended up switching offices.
