Negative experience: Service is bad....I am not happy with anything that had been done... Nothing they do last for more than 1 hour...I would not recommend this Dentist office...

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency situation. Called the dental office and they were able to take me in, even though it was late. I appreciated the friendly staff and their helpfulness.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased and grateful for this office! Everyone is warm welcoming and understanding. I went as an emergency walk in on a Saturday afternoon with tremendous pain, and had to have a tooth extracted. The dentist and his assistant were very gentle, patient and walked me through everything step by stay. I highly recommend coming here!

Fantastic experience: Got a same day appointment. Friendly staff and they took care of 4 of my 7 cavities the same day. Procedure went well and woke up the next day with zero pain.

Positive experience: I walked in as a new patient due to a dental emergency that needed immediate attention. The staff are friendly and very prompt. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years so I needed quite a bit of work done. I appreciated that Dr. Choy put my comfort first and that all the work was painless. The only slight drawback is that there are no doors to the patient rooms, which made for quite a loud environment. This is going to continue to be my dentist. The staff and service far outweighs the noise.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Hygenist Richard who was so patient and has such a calm personality. His patience and calmness really mean a lot to me because my anxiety goes thru the roof when it comes to dental visits. He has light hands, meaning, I felt little to no pain during my cleaning and I only had the gel numbing during my procedure. IDK about tge dentist cause I didnt need to be treated by him.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to all the amazing staff /they have the best job. I am satisfied with the service and they clean my teeth really good.

Negative experience: I was already seated and examined by the doctor, the assistant gave a couple of papers to sign and is for bone graft. I signed one and told her I don’t want the bone graft moments later the doctor came and numb me, she should have informed the doctor that I don’t the bone graft.

Fantastic experience: Dental care is essential but I’m still scared of it even though I’m a grown adult. I am so grateful for the hospitality and level of attentiveness I received as a new patient. This office is so efficient and everything is explained and narrated especially while you’re in the dental chair. I found some comfort in all the explanations and knowing what the next steps of my procedure was. It’s better than lying in the chair with your mouth full of tools and silently freaking out. And playlist in the office? Stellar. Highly recommend this office. Can’t say enough nice things about the entire team. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Came in for urgent emergency dental care. Staff was eager to assist; Dolores took our call and welcomed us in, she was very friendly and helpful with the paperwork. I felt very cared for with Clara and Dr. Bishoy. I needed a scary procedure done suddenly, and they were kind, understanding, and tried to be gentle with me throughout. I am not used to having reassurance, patience, and kindness from healthcare providers, and it really does make a world of difference.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service, from the moment you walk in you are welcomed by Sylvia and Dolores whom are the sweetest front desk I've met. Karina worked with me and my husband's finances to get our treatment done. Dr had such a soft hand I didn't feel a thing when he place the anesthesia, and of course Tatiana the hygienist she was so understanding with my husband and helped him ease while getting his cleaning done. Fantastic experience: Called and checked around for local dentist facilities that would accept walk-in and I was advised they could see me today on short notice. Especially on a Monday being a busy day of the week. Walked in and was greeted with a questionnaire and forms to sign being a first time patient. They took X-rays, digital imaging of my teeth and gums with high tech state of the art equipment. Back office dental assistants were friendly, attentive, professional and informative regarding every procedure. They went over everything found in my X-rays and the main dentists explained their findings. I had my cleaning after approximately an hour due to all the pre procedures being a first time patient. The cleaning hygienist assistant was thorough and patient ensuring I was at ease and comfortable throughout the process. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family. Thank you for accommodating me on such short notice.

Fantastic experience: I had an awesome experience with Dentist of West Covina. The staff is incredible here. Sylvia at the front desk will great you with a big smile and ensure you're all taken care of. The rest of the staff is exceptional at what they do as well. I came in for an implant, and they went above and beyond to ensure that the process was professionally handled from start to finish. My new tooth is perfect and I can't say enough good things about this office. They have since become my new go-to dentist office for all my dental needs. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Nice place,, great staff, friendly and courteous!!!

Negative experience: I went in for my regular visit, had X-rays taken, and then the doctor came in to examine my teeth. He didn’t explain anything to me during the exam. Afterward, the staff member who discusses insurance went over the costs for fixing my crown and for a cleaning (that I didn’t even know I needed because the doctor never said anything). I don’t have an issue with paying extra if the treatment is truly necessary, but the doctor never took the time to explain why my crown needed to be fixed or why the additional procedures were recommended. That lack of explanation made me feel like the extra charges ($900) were being added without a clear medical reason. Won’t be going back. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Backend billed $21.30, 18 months after the service was received. Claimed the insurance didn’t cover the bill. It’s the principle and communication for me. Beware!

Fantastic experience: The staff at the West Covina location are excellent and well trained. I was very pleased to find that the prices were affordable without insurance and that they utilize high quality technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment. I went in on a minor emergency and was treated the same day. Richard the hygienist is the best and was able to help even though I am quite resistant to the numbing medication, he was able to administer the right amount when others were not. After some filling repair and a cleaning and whitening service, my teeth feel great and healthy. On top of all that, Dr. Vo was an expert in creating a smooth repair of my tooth and has the most delicate bedside manner I’ve ever encountered. Dr. Vo is a true professional and listened very carefully to everything I needed to make the experience as good as can be expected. I will be returning for regular cleanings. Thanks again guys!!

Fantastic experience: I went in for an appointment for my wisdom tooth pain, i wasn’t expecting to get it pulled the same day but Got my tooth pulled, deep teeth cleaning, staff was awesome! I didnt Feel a thing except some pressure. Doctor Richard and his assistant was amazing! He reassured me the whole time. Was very quick and painless. They gave me a great price i would 1000% recommend this dentist office for any of your oral needs i cant Thank them enough!

Negative experience: This place is a scam. A dentist that I trust told me that HMO insurance plans don't pay the dentist much so they make up charges. I've experienced this in a few different cities now. First, dentist of West Covina charged me $20. Then the nurse took me back and took around 10 very uncomfortable x-rays and she messed up a few of them and had to redo them. Then Dr. Kang came in and poked a couple of my teeth for no more than 3 min and told me that I had 3 cavities. He just pointed to some areas in shadow on the xray and claimed they were cavities. They tried to charge extra for a teeth cleaning and the receptionists spent a lot of time in the back exam rooms which is not common. They then presented me with a $3K bill (for work I didn't actually need). The next week I went to my old PPO dentist and was cleared with no cavities. This dentist is the person who explained the HMO scam to me since she worked at a place that did this for a month before refusing to participate in their scam. This is how the visit should go if it's not a scam: You check in at the front desk, the hygienist takes you back, once a year they take 3-5 x-rays, they clean your teeth with a sonic brush, they scrape plaque off, and they floss your teeth. The dentist then comes in and uses a pick to poke every one of your teeth carefully looking for soft spots, s/he reviews the x-rays and tells you the result. That visit is often covered by your insurance, but if not, it's $150 at most. Shame on this office for preying on people who have never had a legitimate dentist checkup. I suggest that you avoid any place that exhibits these waring signs. Update and Response to owner: No, I have the correct address. You're at 225 N Barranca St Suite 125, which is across the street from Ikea. The visit was on a Saturday. The dentist didn't introduce himself. I asked one of the nice ladies at the front desk who it was that "checked my teeth" and she told me "Dr. Kang." He was a tall, young Asian man on the thinner side with glasses. He seemed fresh out of school and was not very convincing with his fake examination of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: This office is amazing, great service and excellent doctors, dental assistant Clara was awesome, explained all the treatments and made me feel very comfortable, I definitely recommend this office and I will continue all my dental treatments here.

Negative experience: Avoid. Had to come in 4 times to get the same crown redone because the dentists that performed the prep work kept messing up. Each appointment took 2-3 hrs and each time I had to get numbing shots. On top of that, unbeknownst to me, they sent me an extra bill in addition to the monthly payments plan contract that I had agreed to. The finance lady said I just had to pay the installment plan in the beginning. Not trustworthy; find a better dentist elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dentist of West Covina has been great for both dental and ortho. My orthodontist is excellent and really attentive. Hendricks stands out for his knowledge and service, and Dolores with the front desk staff always keep things smooth and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: The dentists are friendly and always asked if I was comfortable with whatever they were doing. Although I came late many times due to my school schedule and their availability, they were patient and always able to squeeze me in despite their busy schedule. I highly recommend coming here as Dr. Y, Angie, and Ms Dolores and all the other dentists made my invisalign experience much better and comfortable.

They accepted me in and were able to perform an emergency tooth repair. Jessica lowered the price as well. She was very accommodating and understanding of everything. Negative experience: I was in severe pain, they made me wait 3hrs before doing any to help me or administer any pain relief. The young doctor extracted 2 teeth ( wanted to extract all on one side) when he was done, he said nothing about sending pain medication or antibiotics to my pharmacy. I was over the counter pain meds until my pharmacy contacted the next day, with pain meds & antibiotics. Will never go back there again!

Negative experience: Got me in quick but I left in more pain then I went in with they didn't care. They said I shouldn't be in pain and didn't listen to my concern. I was charged without fulling understanding everything but the lady was nice about it and said dont worry about it I felt that was condescending . It was a rush job so they can get on with there 3 day weekend so ill be in pain til Monday. Reviews were good but I personally had a horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: I had my dental fillings done yesterday 8/2/24 at Dentist of West Covina clinic at Barranca, West Covina. All personnels are very friendly & accommodating. Dr Lim , did an outstanding dental work on me. Thank you all for your wonderful services.

Positive experience: There were small things like at one point they had the wrong xrays to reference, instead of 1 year no interest on the credit loan, it was 6 months, and the room I got my filling, we started the procedure and a few things weren't prepped. Other than that, and I know I'm a picky person, everyone in the office was SO nice and accommodating and informative, and gentle, the place was clean, I would definitely go back!

I had a medical issue and they accommodated me accordingly. on several occasions. on Thursday, went into the office to get my crown fitted. The color was off a bit and wasn’t sure I’ll be happy with it. I asked if I can wear the crown for a couple days to see if I Will be happy with this shade. And they said OK I can. They accommodated me again they wanted me to walk away happy. The staff is amazing Each one of them take pride in their work. My answer would be yes 120% for sure.

Fantastic experience: I have never in my life been treated with so much kindness and care from a dental office. It’s unheard of until now at least for me. I came to them because of an emergency. I came with a horrible infection that could have traveled to my brain and it’s because of them I’m okay. They sent me to the emergency room again when I needed IV antibiotics to hit my system faster so they could help me and then got me right back in their office the following morning. They are angels. They did not treat me like a patient they treated me like my family would’ve with genuine care, compassion and concern. The kind of infection I had came with unbearable pain and they made the process and surgery as comfortable as they possibly could. They had a hard time finding my insurance at first probably because I had never used work insurance and didn’t have much information to help them find my insurance. But that didn’t stop them and they didn’t turn me out the door they kept trying until they found who I used for insurance and I appreciate that so much! The ladies at the front seat are absolutely wonderful! That’s what customer service should be like. Always happy with a smile of their faces. For the first time in my life I enjoy coming to the dentist. The surgeon and dentist in the back are extremely kind as well. They really know what they are doing and make sure to make the process more comfortable for us rather than easier for themselves. All around amazing them. I haven't been to the dentist in a while and I was nervous because my last experience wasnt very pleasant. Dentist of West Covina definitely changed my outlook on that. I didn't have to wait long to be seen at all, from the wonderful ladies who did my x-rays, down to the first doctor who spoke with me about my orthodontic options every one was polite, explained everything so I could understand, showed me my pics and explained to me what needs to be done. Doctor Choo was absolutely wonderful even helping me calm down when I got emotional. The women who explained the financial aspects to me where even more amazing and so helpful. Negative experience: Called to make an appointment for my 12 year old son about composite bonding. Went to the appointment & paid $20 for the consult. They did X-rays. I went back to the room where he was & flagged down a worker. She said my son has no cavities (which I already knew) & that they’re about to do a cleaning. I told her he had a cleaning 3 days ago which I put on the new patient form that obviously nobody read. I also put why we were there but an office worker typed that we were there for a filling. She was a bit confused as to why I wanted the composite bonding. I told her my son’s stained teeth is internal because he was on iron meds for years. She brought up veneers. I said no I want him to have the composite bonding. The doctor was working on a patient in the space next to where we were & said “he’s too young”. Now I’m irritated because they could’ve told me over the phone instead of us wasting 2 hours & $20. Another girl came saying they’re not authorized to diagnose over the phone. That’s not diagnosing that’s simply stating you only do that procedure from a certain age & up. They wanted me to speak to the doctor but I told them theirs no reason for that when he clearly said my son is too young. Anyways I straight up told them to give me my $20 back so we could go. They did & we left. The whole office is goofy.

Negative experience: SUPER unprofessional, first they had the audacity to take you to the back for X-rays and then make you wait again in the lobby, they had a crying 6 month old baby getting passed around within the staff in the front office while trying to talk/schedule patients. Office smelled like take-out. Staff kept going in and out of the room, I had about 6 different staff “seeing me “ I felt like a “number” instead of an actual patient. They had to retake my X-rays multiple times from their own mistakes. My partner went in the same day and also had a horrible experience. We did not reschedule due to the environment. Do not give this place a chance. Office does not look like the pictures

Positive experience: Came into the office for a first time visit check up. Quoted me $3,800 for a root canal that I would have to pay $1,800 out of pocket for — stating my insurance doesn’t cover the rest. After declining they offered a credit card if i qualified. I declined. They said they would arrange a payment plan if I agreed to get treated and pay $450 that same day, but the offer was only allowed that same day. I declined. Went to a different dentist and they said my insurance would cover all of it. Please consider other options. Rating 3/5 stars since their first services were fine but the payment plan situation made it feel uncomfortable knowing that another place accepted my insurance in full.

Negative experience: Your billing rep was not understanding my credit line that I had taken out and I did no r use up all my credit line I had scheduled gum therapy in advance but it wasn’t all used up but she still didn’t try to understand she was only one sided and wanted more money very disappointed

Negative experience: I wish I would of never pick that dentist to work on me dentist there are very ruff heavy handed it and they leave me bruised they hurt me and leave me in pain I’m So scare every time I have appointment there sincerely

Positive experience: It was a good experience arrived early doors open at 9am customer service greeted with a smile staff was very knowledgeable and friendly

Negative experience: Website quotes $2799 for a dental implant. I have a typical implant and was quoted $6100 after a 2 and a half hour wait. I have gotten consultations from 3 dentists for the implant. This was double what others charge.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, forcing the patient to follow your plan rather than providing the treatment that the patient requires on the day of the visit.

Fantastic experience: A few months ago I decided to look for a dentist closer to home, and decided to try Dentist of WC, since day one I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Nice greeting every time, great service and the dentists and staff explained my plan for work to be performed and loved the results after each dental work was performed. Kudos to all the front office staff that are always helpful in planning and reminding me on my dental appointments too. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a dentist today!

Fantastic experience: Dentist of West Covina have been my go to dentist for a couple of years now. Each time they’ve treated me with courtesy and warmth. I’ve had a couple of dental emergencies and they’ve worked hard to see me and accommodate. Staff is kind and hardworking. I’ve seen a few dentists throughout the two years but have received exceptional care. I’d highly recommend their office for any dental needs

Negative experience: If you are ok with handing out blank checks, this is your place. Bad communication front the start to the end. Some how star ratings should be replaced with grades, A-F. This would definitely be graded “F”.
