Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chang since 2014 - he and his team have ALWAYS taken great care of me, no complaints - my teeth are clean, healthy and strong in large part to the great dental care they provide.

Negative experience: Beware this dentist! Posting again as they reported and deleted my last review trying to hide what they did. They lied about my insurance being covered, did not disclose fees, and simply broke the law. I’ve currently filed with the state dental board and proceeding with an attorney at my job. This could have all gone away if you were honest but now you have a lawsuit coming. Beware this dentist!

I recently needed to switch from my prior dentist because I couldn't do the hour commute any longer. Dr. Amy Chan, who works at the office, and her staff were wonderful. I recently just had a filling done and she continuously checked in with me through the process. She helped me feel calm.

My front tooth chipped in the middle of the night and the great front desk team was able to help me with the soonest appointment they had. I moved back to Fremont in 2016 and Dr. Chang has been my dentist since.When I had a problem Dr. Chang was available to me by telephone at 8o’clock at night and took care of the problem I had the very next morning. Best dentist ever. He’s nice he’s not judgmental. I had a really big fear of dentists And a lot of bad luck With dentists before Dr. Chang and I feel like I can trust him completely not to hurt me. He is my only go to, and I hope he doesn’t retire before I die because he will be extremely hard to replace.

I have been going here for more than 5 years now and it's always a pleasant experience. Katie usually does my cleaning and she’s always a delight to catch up with. Dr. Chang makes a point to check up on all the patients and inspect the cleanings. I had a filling that needed to be done and he did an amazing job. I couldn't tell a filling was put in after his work. Always a great job!

Fantastic experience: My daughter needed to get her teeth extracted for her orthodontic treatment. Dr.Scott Chong recommended to go to Dr.Chang which is in the same complex. (Very convenient) Let me tell you… first of all they are so accommodating! They were able get her in as soon as possible which is always a plus! When we met Dr.Chang on our initial visit.. my observation of him is a “cool and knowledgeable dentist” he is very informative and explained the oral care to my daughter. In addition, he pointed out areas in her X-rays that she needs to take care of the most by flossing. He explained the extraction procedure and answered all of our questions and concerns! He is awesome! This was my daughter’s first procedure at a dental office which required numbing. She never needed to get numb for anything before… until now! She was anxious at first but Dr.Chang and his team made her feel comfortable and put her at ease! She didn’t even need laughing gas or nitrous (but they have it if needed) Five star service and professionalism! I highly recommend! I will definitely transfer my whole family’s dental care here! Also Dr.Chang texted me to make sure my daughter was ok a few hours after the appointment! Wow! I am impressed! I am satisfied we came across this dentist! Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough great things for Dr. Chang and his dental office. I was with Dr. Chang for about 10 yrs until early COVID pandemic when I moved away to Vallejo. His office always took great care of my teeth and also my Maryland bridge. The bridge gets loose eventually due to mostly mis-bite, but the re-cement work was so carefully done every time that it always lasts 2 to 3 yrs period. Since moving to Vallejo, my dental work especially my bridge re-cement totally went downhill with different local doctors that I could find. I almost went with their recommendations to do surgery and implants that would cost me more than $20,000 before insurance (around $6000 after insurance I believe per estimate). Luckily I reached out to Dr. Chang as my last resort. He graciously asked me to visit his office two weeks ago, and advised me that even though my adjacent teeth are a bit loose, they all have very healthy bones that no surgery/implants are required. His only recommendation is to replace with a new bridge since the existing one is almost 18 years old. He then re-cemented my bridge for free! Not only it is free, he had to spend almost an hour to clean up all the excessive cement that was wrongfully done by other doctors in Vallejo!! It’s very hard nowadays to find a dental office that put patients needs in the first place. You can see it just from my own experiences the past few years. I regretted to leave Dr. Chang due to a bit of relocation, but I have committed to see him and his dental office for all my future dental works as long as I live in the bay area.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Chang for a second opinion on a recommendation for a crown on my molar. Dr. Chang reviewed the x-rays I provided, and took an additional picture using his camera system. He then showed me blow-ups of the pictures and explained why a crown would be a good decision. His explanation was clear, and he was able to answer all my questions.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chang has been our family dentist for over 10 years but I live in Hayward and wanted a dentist a little closer to home. I went to a new dentist to have a tooth filled. The new dentist recommended pulling the tooth. I was not ready for that. I left and called Dr. Chang’s office and they seen me the following day. They were able to fill the tooth and save it. It is safe to say I called the new dentist the next and told them I will not be returning. I am happy to be back with Dr. Chang’s dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chang is a very friendly and personable guy. And he’s a perfectionist as a dentist. He was not completely satisfied with a minor bonding he did, and asked me to return so he could re-do—no charge. Also, my husband sought a second opinion from Dr. Chang after his original dentist proposed a very costly procedure. Dr. Chang concluded it was not a necessary procedure, and could be potentially damaging. Dr. Chang provided a simple and non-invasive regimen that my husband is now following. That convinced us to change dentists, and we are both very pleased. I rarely write online reviews on anything, but in this case, I feel very good about sharing.

Debbie has just been excellent staff to take care of my cleaning. She has excellent memory to remember pocket depth and update all four quadrants very efficiently. Dr. Tran engages well with the patient and provide solution and answer my question patiently. Couldn’t go wrong with this place. This place is a hidden-gem. Ceasar was super patient and kind to take photo of my teeth. And later Doctor Tran help me with depth of pocket. And suggest I do regular cleaning more frequently than do deep cleaning. Overall, it was a very positive and efficient experience. I would recommend my friend to this dental should they need dental service.

Fantastic experience: I am never leaving this dentist. They have been great with everything in my difficult teeth as well as making sure everything is covered by my insurance. I have had everything from crowns redone to a root canal. Unlike other dentists, I don't feel anything. I tried to move to a dentist closer to home and then had a huge problem with a tooth going bad. In doing this I discovered how dentists vary massively in what they can and will do. I am back and will stay with these doctors. All three of them are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dental clinic as everyone here is so friendly and Dr Chang is very knowledgeable, kind and professional. They were able to take in me right away because of my sudden toothache. Dr Chang was able to diagnose me correctly and I learned about referred pain and thermal pulp testing in the process.
