Fantastic experience: Joyful Smile Dental is a clean, neat, and welcoming office. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was friendly, smiling, and greeted me warmly. This was my first visit, and I chose this clinic because of their high Yelp reviews. It did take some time to get scheduled, but it was worth the wait. I had previously delayed my dental cleaning due to bad experiences at other clinics, including rude staff and unexplained charges. That made me hesitant, but Joyful Smile completely changed that for me. The dental assistant introduced herself, took my vitals, and completed a preliminary assessment of my oral health in a professional and respectful manner. Dr. Joy was very thorough and took the time to clearly explain what I needed to maintain my oral health. The educational videos shown while I was in the chair were extremely helpful and allowed me to understand what needed to be treated and why. Kirsten, the hygienist, was bright, friendly, and professional. She established great rapport, asked about my preferences, gave helpful advice, and truly listened—something I really appreciate as a healthcare professional myself. Lastly, the front desk staff clearly explained the treatment plan and payment details. Overall, I am very happy with the service and look forward to future visits. I will definitely be leaving more reviews as I continue my care here.

Fantastic experience: All staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Joy is amazing. She’s patient, and gentle with my daughter. My nine year old is anxious and she keeps her calm while working with her. She shows and explains my daughters xraYs to her as she explains what’s going on. This is helpful to a child! I have nothing but positive experiences from everyone in the entire office.

I have gone through several dentist, and I always have reservation about dentist recommending me work that does not need to be done. This is my 1st time getting a crown and I am very happy with the results. Very seldom I put recommendation but I am confident if you choose Dr. Joy, you will not need to change dentist again! Fantastic experience: This dental office runs a tight ship. I was scheduling my first visit with them and my first dental visit since the initial lockdown of march 2020. Since I got fully vaccinated, I was ready to visit the dentist again. The team member over e-mail was responsive prior to my initial visit. She made sure I was aligned properly with my insurance and submitted the proper information. She was able to help me schedule a time that worked for both of us. Very accommodating. When it was time to come in, I was genuinely impressed at how smooth everything ran. Dr. Joy's team is professional, courteous, efficient, and caring. Dr. Joy oversaw my initial screening and was able to identify right off the bat a pain point my prior dental office left on my tooth. I already gained trust off of that because Dr.Joy was able to identify right away something that needed attention just by observing x-rays. Kristen performed my cleaning and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. Truly thorough and made me felt comfortable throughout the process. 10/10 would recommend!

I was referred by a friend and have referred one of my friends over to this place already it's that great. I had terrible crooked teeth before & she created a plan for me. I was referred out to to get Braces by her colleague. Dr. Joy does Everything & if she can't, she has a great referral to send you to. (my wisdom teeth removal) My dental hygienist Julia is amazing I just love her and our talks she's quite humorous. The whole staff is amazing and they really treat you like family. I highly recommend. Due to Covid, they have curbside check-in as an option. Everything is wiped down & sanitized after use

I had terrible pain in my back molar and other spots and they saw me quickly, established a treatment plan and helped me get it resolved easily. I am someone that has a deep fear of the dentist but Dr. Joy and her staff have been nothing but kind, patient and caring with me. They have taken care of myself and now my husband so well. Fantastic experience: Dr Joy and all her team are above excellent. I had an emergency and they still gave me an urgent appointment just before Thanksgiving! The admin person was very helpful in the appointment process and I felt extremely safe as her assistant come to greet me outside to take my temperature and a survey. Distances are kept and all is neat. The treatment was performed in the best way while going far beyond to accommodate my circumstances. She is very compassionate and patient, and made sure to also keep the price as low as possible. I am very grateful and totally recommend the Joyful Smile Dentistry.

Positive experience: Hygienists are thorough and will pause to explain what they're doing to you. Make sure to speak up if you have sensitive gums though! Dr. Joy seems a bit hurried, but will also stop to explain things if you ask. Friendly staff and good scheduling via website, email reminders, etc.

Fantastic experience: I have a phobia of Dentists! For real since I’ve been in Bay Area I have been to 7 different dentists. I have lots of crowns and root canals from when I was younger. I ate lots of sweets and had a bad rollerblading curbside to chin accident. I really hate going to the dentist even for my cleanings. I came to Joyful only because I work in Fremont and I figured it would at least be convenient. If it was bad, I could always switch to a different dentist. Anyways, beyond what I had hoped for her touch and ability to do her work is like an artist. Each tooth she works on is so much better than it ever has been. She’s gentle and helps me calm down for my shots, I never am in pain when she gives them and I always feel great quickly after procedures. I have given around 5-10 reviews in my life so I hope the potency reaches people that are scared of dentists! Joy is amazing! Thanks for your dedication to what you do as a professional.
