The office itself is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed with modern décor, calming touches, and top-of-the-line equipment that makes you feel like you’re getting the best care possible. What really sets Shook Dental apart, though, is the people. The staff is incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind—they make you feel comfortable right away, which isn’t always easy at a dentist’s office. You never feel rushed, and they take the time to make sure you understand everything. The doctor-patient relationship here is what truly stands out. There’s a real sense of care and trust. You feel listened to, not just treated, and that personal connection makes a huge difference. It’s clear they take pride in building long-term relationships, not just getting you in and out.

Fantastic experience: I had been so worried about finding a new dentist because I don’t have great teeth due to genetics and health issues and am so happy that I found Dr. Shook. She not only created a whole plan for my dentistry needs but she throughly explained what needs to be done more urgently versus what can wait to be done. She went through everything to make sure I was completely comfortable with my treatment plan. I also appreciate Peter who runs the office and billing to make sure I saw and understood the billing and charges that are covered and not covered by my insurance so I could get the work done based on my budget. The office is really beautiful and has a very comfortable decor so it doesn’t feel so clinical. I highly recommend them and their staff!

Fantastic experience: They gave me an emergency appointment to replace a lost filling. I was in and out in an hour. It went very well. I didn't sign their waiver of HIPAA protections, and no one said anything.

Fantastic experience: The office is beautifully designed and was very calming. The dental “stations” were modern and spotlessly clean The Dr’s consultation was very detailed. She explained the procedures needed in language that I could understand. She spent a lot of time with me. The teeth cleaning was comfortable; I was told what was going on, step by step, which really alleviated my nervousness. The technicians were so gentle and skilled and asked me several times how I was feeling. I have more visits to complete my implant procedure but feel confident that I have chosen the best dentist, and I highly recommend Shook Dental Care Jan. 2024: After just completing half of a more invasive deep cleaning and scaling procedure my comments above are still true. Each step of the process was described to me as we went along. I was comfortable and pain free throughout. Shook Dental Care is taking good care of my teeth and me!

Fantastic experience: As a meticulous dentist myself, I can honestly say that Dr. Shook is a great dentist! She is gentle, kind, and treats you like she would her own family. She practices what I like to call, "textbook" dentistry, or dentistry at the highest standard--technically, knowledgeably and ethically. You can tell she truly cares about her patients, knows her dental materials, and tries her best to stay atop of the most up-to-date dentistry, while also knowing her limitations. If she has one flaw, it's that she's a perfectionist...so if you want it done correctly, she's your girl. Highly recommend!
