Fantastic experience: Everybody in this dental office is friendly ,inviting, and very professional. Made me feel like I was part of there family!! I will tell everyone about western dental because they were very gentle! Front the entrance the receptionist Zeneida was the best!! The patient care coordinator Anita made me feel comfortable!! The doctor named Dr. James is very gentle professional...made me feel at ease because I'm very apprehensive of dental.work!! Armenia the floor supervisor is very efficient, gentle ,and kind! I would highly recommend western dental in Lomita because they treat you like the special person you are!!

Fantastic experience: I’m not exactly sure why there are so many negative reviews for this location. I had/have an absolute amazing experience each and every time. The receptionists are very welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable should I have anything I don’t understand. Not only that, the Dr’s are phenomenal in my experiences here. They have helped me out SO MUCH even with issues from another dental office I had been to 3 years prior for a crown that randomly came out while chewing on a granola bar it wasn’t their doing by any means, but they welcomed me in, explained the steps, and gladly took over the work someone else might have messed up on. I’ve been to this location numerous times, and I absolutely love their Dr’s. Like any office, they get busy, however, they acknowledge you even while remaining busy. Maybe it’s just because I know how offices work/reception that I can appreciate the smaller and bigger things. I will be coming back as well, and don’t let negative reviews sway you. Sometimes people just aren’t happy, but I am in coming here!

Negative experience: Very unsatisfied coming here I came in for appointment at 1130am to be asked to come back at 2pm and this isn't the first time this has happened this was the third time I come in and was sent home and then not be seeing after the whole wait and having to reschedule for another month wait since the specialist just comes in once a month I assume they would calculate time spend based on many different types of a root canal work done

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience at this dentist. I was charged much more than expected, and the pricing was not explained clearly beforehand. The service was unprofessional, rushed, and I felt like my concerns were ignored. I left feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. I do not recommend this place.

Negative experience: I wish I would of seen the reviews before I came here! My appointment was at 8am I was not seen until 11:03am I kept asking front desk why is it taking so long she said because im a new patient ! The nurse in the back said she was going to bill my insurance for wisdom tooth extractions but that I have to pay $500 out of pocket ! They are billing my insurance for services that I didn't receive ! AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COST !

Negative experience: I was to get upper teeth extracted to get immediate denture. I am on medi cal and was informed I was covered. On day of appointment I was told I need bone graphs(per their doctor) and it is not covered.The staff member said she personally mentioned it at 1st appt. She did not. So the hispanic girl with big bones and attitude(same person)decides she is going to throw me out because she was caught in a lie. I was NEVER informed. She then went on to say" If you'd like I can give you referral to a place where they might be able to do procedure without bone graph". I said "Why can't western dental do it without?" She proceeded to ask me to leave. She said don't yell at me.LOL. No one was yelling at her. She was caught lying and caught being contradictive. Like another reviewer wrote, the lady at checkin makes you stand and wait for her to stop shuffling papers before she will grace you with her attention. These two women are definitely a detriment to that office.DO NOT USE WESTERN DENTAL LOMITA. RUDE LYING AND DOWN RIGHT HORRIBLE. SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IN BUSSINES.

Positive experience: Greetings, Washington Dental. I have a couple of essential items. The first concern is the dentist; introducing themselves before beginning dental service is not just a matter of professional courtesy but also a crucial step in establishing a patient-dentist relationship. The second issue concerns calling the office to change an appointment or address procedural concerns, and not receiving a return call as promised.

Negative experience: I wish I have seen the reviews before going there. Horrible experience for me. Dr Paula very disrespectful, rude, arrogant behavior. She definitely needs mental health support.

Negative experience: Very disappointed today August 2,2025. I attempted to check what time my appointment was. When the person answered the phone, she stated she had a person patient in front of her ,and needed to place me on hold. The person named Sandy ,kept melon hold for over 10 minutes ,( my outbound call log if proof). After waiting for 10 minutes ,I used a different phone, while still being in hold, on the other phone. The same person " Sandy picks up the phone , with the Western Dental ,greeting proceeded to take the call.While I'm still on hold on my other phone. When I informed her that ,I was on hold on a different phone , while she proceeded to take on the call , from another phone. Sandy was dismissive and a constructive attitude. When I asked her if I could speak with the office manger,she was very hasty and stated " she wasn't in" and would not until 11am. I have noticed attitudes with certain staff before . And tried to over look it, but this time I am going to make my official compliant.

Negative experience: Worst clinic. I took my daughter for deep cleaning and she told me that how rude dr PAULA was with her. And when she try to explain something to her she said in her Asian accent “ I don’t understand that much English “. I mean is this a joke a woman who doesn’t speak and understands English working with children’s where parents are not allowed near them. And the lady on front counter told me they have only one hygienic PAULA. So please avoid this clinic.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE place to be if you have medical or low income insurance. They treat you like animals specially the hygienic people they will keep coming at you with buy this package buy this package it’s 50% today. JUST HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Negative experience: The Asian lady name Paula or Paula. Very rude and disrespectful behavior, I told her many times that I have filling but she still did the cleaning in rough manner now it costs me again to do my filling for 2 tooth. DO NOT COME HERE

Negative experience: This place did a horrible job with my aunts denture and each time she explained what she wanted she never was heard instead they would get a attitude and treat her very rude and after months of run around she ended with a denture that sadly she won’t be able to use because it’s too big, in all I hope you guys take people seriously because they are paying for the service out of pocket since you guys always claim the medical can’t cover a procedure!!

Negative experience: Booked an appointment online for a general exam/emergency due to dental pain. Get to my appointment 15 minutes early just for them to tell me the doctor doesn’t do exams after 2pm. Extremely disappointed considering I’m having intense tooth pain and they are one of the only ones who accept my insurance and my work schedule won’t allow me to come that early. You shouldn’t be able to make appointments online if they can’t actually do them when you book them. :(

Negative experience: This Facility is slow paced makes you wait for two2 hours for a new patient with appointment they don’t take consideration in people’s time nor communication with you and let you know updates right away.

Negative experience: Truly the worst dental clinic. I had to wait an hour for my appointment and despite being told I would have a teeth cleaning, I was told to make another appointment for a teeth cleaning. The receptionist was unfriendly and didn’t even say hello to me.

Negative experience: So this is my first time taking my mother here for her dental needs. Our appointment was at noon (1200) and the day before, I went to the clinic to verify the appointment and dental coverage and also picked up whatever forms they need us to fill out. We came in the appointment day prepared. When we were checking in, the front desk clerk called us, “you can come over here”. She asked for the insurance card to which I explained that we came the day before and it was verified already and was told to bring her ID. I don’t have her insurance card and I already had my mother’s ID on hand. And then she said, you’re gonna have to come back at 1 pm because the dentists are on lunch. I asked, “then why was she given a 1200 appointment?!?!”. She replied, “I wasn’t here so I don’t know”. She was not smiling, she was not apologetic, and she was not very friendly considering she is the first face that customers see. We sat to wait but was kicked out because they close the door for lunch. Going home would have been pointless because there is no time. The reason why I went the day before is to avoid confusions like these. But I guess diligence and being proactive is useless when people don’t care as they should. All in all, the first impression was BAD. Sunny who assisted the dentist, was great though and helped a lot. She explained everything with patience and grace. Without her, it would have 0 stars. People don’t realize that their facial expressions tell it all. And I didn’t hide my disappointment either. However, when I talked to Sunny, I actually felt a little better.

Fantastic experience: Been coming for a few yrs. Haven't had any bad experiences. All their staff members are so nice and polite. Love how they all communicate with me regarding anything to do with my procedure or treatments. Have worked with two Dr's. Both polite and again communicate well. Recently was Dr. Sahar Khooshab. She was so sweet did amazing. Will continue with them.

Negative experience: Over booking ,When your appointment is t 09:30 and takes 2:30 because they only have one dentist doing all the work is unacceptable. We are paying for a service we are not asking for it to be free.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience of my life! I got there 10 minutes before my appointment with all of my paperwork complete. I was shocked that they sell CANDY at this office. (My old dentist would "buy back" Halloween candy to keep kids from eating it.) I waited 40 minutes until I was called back. Someone took several x-rays and told me I would see the dentist next. I asked when I would get my teeth cleaned. She asked if I asked for a cleaning when scheduling my appointment. I have never had to ask for my teeth to be cleaned at a dentist appointment.... that's the only reason I go to the dentist. The dentist came and looked with a mirror in my mouth for maybe 10 seconds max. Then I was told I would need to schedule a cleaning for a different day. If you are able, I would 100% avoid this dental office. Edit to add- I went back today for my teeth cleaning. When they called yesterday to verify that I was coming to the appointment, I asked that this appointment was for a teeth cleaning. I was told yes. Today once they put me in the chair, they told me that they could polish my teeth, but had nobody to actually clean my teeth! If you have a choice and value your time even a little bit, PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT DENTIST!!!

Negative experience: They were pretty nice overall except the lady dentist wouldn't answer my questions don't know if she heard me or was ignoring me. One dentist did a lot of fillings at one time before this. But the receptionist is so unbelievably rude and unprofessional, she barely gave me any info on my appointment being cancelled and even gave me a rude tone. If you hate your job that’s not my problem. They even randomly scheduled me this appointment in the first place idk.

Negative experience: Well as you can see my teeth are not in the best condition I came in with pain and my top tooth in the back which the doctor put holes in it with his drill because he thought I needed a Feeling but in the process realized I needed a root canal so he patched me up with a temporary feeling sent me home and told me to wait for my approval for a root canal months go by the tooth starts to deteriorate I come back to the same dentist in pain they tell me there's no infection and send me home without any antibiotics knowing that my mouth is in horrible condition then they give me a date to come and get it pulled out but also says you need a bone graft and that's going to cost $600 the people there are so rude didn't inform me of anything I had to ask a thousand questions and remind you this was because of their era they took x-rays before they did the feeling that should have told you the extent of the tooth if they needed a root canal or a Feeling now I'm sitting here with a big hole in my tooth because of their era judging by these pictures you tell me if I need antibiotics

Negative experience: Horrible western dental I didn’t get seen. My appointment was at 9:30am. It was 11am and I was still waiting to be called. One of the ladies with the fake painted on eyebrows looking ugly was rude and disrespectful. She has a bad attitude and honestly I just ended up leaving around 11:15. She should be fired.

Negative experience: Just horrible here they didn’t listen to any of my concerns the staff is always in a rush like what’s the hurry and the ortho only looked at my teeth for like 10 secs and would give me a full lecture over 1 broken bracket for like 15 mins I just wanted to be done and get out they did absolutely nothing about my extra tooth that I have sticking right out of my gum I’m very self conscious about it my mom would ask again and again and again what they were going to do about it and then they said we’re still waiting on the insurance to clear I saw them every 6 weeks how long does it take insurance to clear like damn and on top of all that I have autism so I would ask at every single appt can they tell me what they’re doing and would ignore it every time and then wonder why I’d back away in the middle of a braces tighten they would slip a lot too and stab me right in the gum and be like oops sorry I slipped but I felt like it was on purpose bc they did it every single time don’t waste ur time here

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience with Western Dental, where I was charged $2,500 for the extraction of three wisdom teeth. I was also required to purchase $1000+ bone powder for the procedure, which later proved by other dentist as unnecessary. Friends later suggested that I was overcharged. This was one of the most frustrating moments for me that year. I regretted that I did not look into real customer reviews and just relying on the 5-star ones, which can be so misleading and fake. Please think twice and hear from people who have had genuine experiences with Western Dental. Good luck!

I told Beatriz he spoke condescendingly to me when I asked for tooth numbers for broken molar #20 & broken LL Incisor #22. He said I don't need numbers, I'm not a dentist. I told him I need to stay informed. Hope to see Dr. Mira next time under Medi-Cal

Negative experience: I would give this place zero stars. I had a terrible experience from the begging to end. Firstly, when I got a full extraction done, I felt everything. It was the worst pain I’ve felt. They did not numb me properly nor cared when they heard me in pain. The doctors have no knowledge whatsoever. They absolutely do not care about their patients. After a full tooth extraction they left me with absolutely nothing. They gave faulty dentures that did not fit at all. When I returned to the office to get them adjusted they told me that’s how it is and to deal with it. From the very beginning it was obvious that this place only cares about profit and after they get their money they’ll kick you to the curb, I decided to give them a chance and it was the worst mistake I ever made, no one should repeat this mistake. DO NOT go here.

Negative experience: I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this dental office. From the start, it was obvious that patient care was not their priority. The staff, from the front desk to the hygienists, were unprofessional and seemed uninterested in addressing my actual dental concerns. Everything felt rushed, impersonal, and as though they were just trying to get through their list of patients. The worst part was the doctor’s complete lack of attention. They hardly listened to my concerns and didn’t bother to explain the treatment options in any meaningful way. Instead, they immediately recommended costly procedures without discussing why they were necessary or offering any less expensive alternatives. It felt like if you weren’t ready to pay a large sum out of pocket, they simply didn’t care. The lack of genuine concern for my health was truly disappointing. The doctor seemed more focused on pushing expensive treatments than actually addressing my dental issues. I left feeling like my concerns didn’t matter unless I was willing to pay a lot of money. This place feels more like a profit-driven business than a healthcare provider. If you’re looking for a dentist who truly cares about your well-being, avoid this place. The mediocre care and focus on profit aren’t worth your time or money.

Negative experience: Horrible practice. The dentist here caused an infection in my tooth. I’m in dire pain and she tells me that there is nothing she can do. She refers me to another dentist that isn’t even covered under my insurance.

Negative experience: For the sake of the health of your teeth please avoid this clinic and practice. They told me they scheduled an exam and cleaning but they only schedule exams the first visit, they want to force you to come back again and it’s a tactic to force upsell a deep cleaning. I had X-rays and then a doctor looked into my mouth for less than 60 seconds and called out cavity locations to the assistant and walked away, I at no point in time saw her examine X-rays. She refused to come back and speak to me about her recommendations. The assistant told me I needed over $6k of work to be charged to my insurance and requiring 5 follow up appointments. I went to a different dentist the following week as a cash-paying patient since my insurance limits me to western dental, the other dentist identified half the number of cavities, I came back the next day and had all filled at the same time with no numbing because all cavities were so superficial. The out of pocket cost for the exam, cleaning, and fillings was under $2k. Western Dental’s recommended work would have resulted in 6 healthy front teeth being drilled into unnecessarily. If you have alternative option, for the health of your teeth, please do not seek dental care at this clinic. Unnecessary drilling into healthy teeth can lead to significant issues down the line.

They tell you one price, then while you’re sitting in the chair with your teeth and you only have screws for implants they come in to tell you a new price. The new price for the implants to be put in and that’s an extra $5,000!!!! Do not come here unless want to be bamboozled out of a lot of money. I do not like that they were not straight forward.

Negative experience: Horrible experience I do not recommend. My appointment was at 1:30pm on a saturday and I had arrived there a little early around 1:15. The doors were locked and they had a sign that said they were closed for lunch from 12:30-1:30 on saturdays. I wait in my car until 1:30 and return back to the doors and still locked. I try again at 1:35 still locked. then again at 1:40 still locked. I stood outside knocking on the doors and as I was walking away one of the staff opened the door and apologized since they were on lunch from 1230-130. They did not open doors till 145. Even after being let in, i was not helped for another 10 minutes. Why have an opening at 130 if you wont be open at that time yet? Its very inconvenient and unprofessional. Do NOT come to this dental office.

Negative experience: Expensive! Rough! They made a night guard too small for my mouth and will not correct it, made 2 visits for correction, never happened. $1000 plus it cost me. Paid $363.00 for teeth whitening and it was not successful. They worked on a gum disease and cured it. They cost me close to $4,000.00. And, I am not satisfied. They will never work on my mouth ever again.

Negative experience: I can go on and on about how bad of a dentist office this is, but today made things even worse, when I was scheduled for a filling and the doctor gave me a numbing medicine for NOTHING!!!! I have a bridge on that side of my mouth (why the dr didn’t know that I’m unsure) he confirmed my name prior to administering the numbing shot… prior to him administering I told him that I was told the filling was on the left side he said no the right (with an attitude) stuck the needle in my gums, looked at my teeth to see it was a bridge there (smacked his lips) ask me my name again, then says “this is the wrong chart” who did this??? I can’t do a filling there when it’s a bridge there” then gets up to go to the front… never apologizes just sends the dental assistant to tell me that “the filling is too small to fill, come back in 6 months”, man this place is an absolute joke!! I went to the manager who tried to tell me that he was the same doctor who did my bridge prep when I had a whole completely different person sawing my teeth down, then to top it all off, they documented back in February that they did 2 fillings when they only did 1 and told me to come back but never did it. I have a tooth in my mouth that was supposed to be extracted back in Feb but they’ve done everything else to my teeth but that. This place don’t gaf about you and to top things off…. I pay out of pocket, my medical, and I have private insurance. I asked for documents, my medical records and didn’t even receive it… their real limited to giving you things because they know they’re running a skeeming business. This place don’t deserve not even 1 star, it’s more to the story….But imma leave it here

Negative experience: Long story short, I waited 4hrs for an inadequate cleaning that left me with a chipped tooth and a false dental report, stating that I had 4 cavities; therefore, I had two other opinions who had debunked this false diagnosis, stating I had none. I do not recommend this dental office. It’s unfortunate because this dental office is conveniently located near me as well.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best...they have the best !!the X-rays techs named Fatima and Aura are very professional and nice . I am Soo grateful to have found Dr. Jam, he is the best and gentle and thoughtful of his patients. I really recommend this place!!!!!

Negative experience: Do not come here it’s the worst service and they will not help you if you are in pain. The doctor will spend one minute with you and I’ll tell you to come back the worst waste of time. I took off work to take care of my teeth and all they did was nothing for me besides take x-rays and tell me to be on my way I will never come back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME IN THIS OFFICE

Fantastic experience: I do not like going to the dentist, but Sunshine walks me through the process and calmed my nerves. After seeing a doctor Lee I had plenty of confidence I came to the right dentist.

Negative experience: for a place that requires you wear a mask while you wait, i cant help but notice the amount of times i hve gone in there and seen several people without one and the moment i take mine off i am the only one getting chided and told to put it back on

Fantastic experience: Everything went well I was very much Happy that the dentist is able to explain to me the severity of my problem and the courtesy of the receptionist to be able to set me with the most soonest appointment possible so that I can get this addressed so all in all I'm very well please

Negative experience: I honestly would not come here. They try to rob you from your money. They told me I needed a root canal and other stuff and my medical wouldn't cover it so I was going to pay about 600 for the stuff that needed to be done. I checked a different dentist and she said the complete opposite. I don't need a root canal because my nerves don't looked damage on the x rays. And not only that but I do not need to pay for anything. My medical covers it all. GO SOMWHERE ELSE.

Fantastic experience: They are well managed and very professional. Dr Ghosh is a caring dentist. She is very adept in her work and makes sure she has completed her understanding of her Patient’s situation before beginning any dental work.

Negative experience: They are not on time with appointments. A 2:00 appointment got delayed by an hour (they were closed from 1-2 for lunch,as per sign, then the dentist went to lunch at 2).The receptionist was rude and ignored customers, they try to bill you for unnecessary procedures, even when told no. If I had a choice of a different dentist, I would switch in a heartbeat. One star is too nice of a rating.

Positive experience: It was a good experience to be there. Also it was the first time there. I had not any problem to have all the access to my appointment. Service is really good and accurate. Thank you for your dedication
