Dental Associates of Torrance: Reviews
Negative experience: THIS DENTAL OFFICE SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR INSURANCE FRAUD ACCORDING TO ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS & IF ANYTHING ELSE BE SHUT DOWN. ANYONE considering coming here, DO NOT! They booked my appointment, took my X‑rays to bill my insurance, THEN kept me waiting OVER 3 HOURS without ever mentioning that the dentist on duty supposedly “doesn’t take my insurance.” This was only brought up after they had my insurance information by phone & upon checking in. THE MOST unprofessional, disorganized, and DIscriminatory DENTAL OFFICE I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. NO APOLOGY, NO treatment, and a lot of wasted time. AVOID this place if you value your time or expect basic DECENCY from a dental office WITH a hot stuffy waiting room FILLED WITH DISGRUNTLED PATIENTS WAITING ON 1 DENTIST!
Negative experience: Called and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and to have a check up. Showed up and apparently they scheduled me a braces consultation. After waiting a half hour, I went in and was told it was a consultation for braces. I was confused and told them I don't need braces. To which the orthodontist said, "Let me see". I've never walked out of a place so fast.
Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr Amini and Jessica RDAEF! I was really nervous when I came in but they work so well together! I had one rootcanal and two crowns done today all on one appointment, they were AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They were great!
Negative experience: If you would like to wait hours in the lobby to see a dentist then this place is for you
Positive experience: Had a cleaning here, it took maybe 6 hours to do the entire cleaning. I spent hours just sitting in the dentist chair waiting.
Negative experience: Please avoid this place and read the other 1 star reviews carefully. I have visited this office ONCE and ONLY ONCE a few years ago. I saw how fradulent their practices were and left without receiving any treatments, yet I am still having to deal with 'payments' for visits I have never done. Trying to contact the manager will never work, they simply will not answer your call and even if they do on a whim they will not resolve anything for you because they only care about taking your money.
Fantastic experience: I wanna say thank you so much for the two filipino Employee at Dental associates of Torrance Chris and Arvi C. (rdaef2) for taking care of my teeth especially fixing my filling and now i have a great smile and Thanks as well the Ortho for my invisalign they did a very great job taking care of me. I really appreciate all of you!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Amini is amazing. She is very gentle and fast. She helped me save my tooth after it was broken into half by a root canal and crown! Zero pain! In and out!
Negative experience: Waited over 30 mins past my appointment with no explanation. Came in for a simple gum-inflammation check and they pushed full X-rays and a pano without saying why. Turned into a $1,000 bill full of duplicate and unnecessary charges — UHC is now investigating. Then they tried to sell me on pulling a wisdom tooth and a $500 bone graft I didn’t need. I check with my regular dentist later confirmed everything was fine, including a specialist. Polite staff but chaotic environment in the back, but the transparency and billing practices were not. Ask for costs upfront or go somewhere else. Overall it felt like you are treated as just number, fast food of Dental Services, the negative reviews line up all too well.
Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience at Dental Associates of Torrance! Dr. Amini and Arvi Cruzado (RDAEF2) both left an excellent impression on me. They are exceptionally friendly, caring, and patient, taking the time to ensure I felt comfortable and well-informed throughout my visit. Most importantly, their professional skill and attention to detail truly stand out — the quality of care and treatment I received was excellent. I felt completely reassured and confident in their expertise. A big thank-you as well to the entire team, including the friendly front desk staff and the evaluators, who made the whole process smooth and pleasant. The warm atmosphere and professionalism of everyone here make this dental office truly exceptional. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Dental Associates of Torrance during my Periodontics appointment with Dr. Partovi on November 4, 2025. Dr. Partovi is very nice, professional, and gentle in her approach. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident throughout the procedure. As always, the entire team at Dental Associates of Torrance — including the friendly front desk staff, the evaluators, and the caring assistants — provided excellent support and service. Their kindness and professionalism made my visit smooth and reassuring. I truly appreciate the exceptional care from Dr. Partovi and the whole team. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: The surgeon and staff are incredibly skilled and experienced. Friendly and professional, they performed 3 tooth extractions with no pain at all!
Fantastic experience: I want to thank you Dental Associate of Torrance for your bless caring staff and, Dr. Embry for removing 9 teeth the first day I came an I was blessed with care Credit all the work you done to give me a beautiful smile again, and I want to thank you ARVI-EF2 for fixing my teeth with patient n her perfectionist for a beautiful bite and smile ok Dental Associate of Torranceyou save my life I could’ve died if all my teeth wasn’t removed out of my mouth in time I was in pain from 2004 Because I didn’t have Medi-Cal. I had to get emergency Medi-Cal to get help. I was Lead to Dentist Associate Torrance-office because of a mistake at another Dentist office, but God I went to 10 different Dentist office I want to charge me high fees up to $50,000 for implants that I didn’t need OK But God 2023 2024 2025 that’s how long It took to be blessed by God, in Jesus
Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown placed by Jessica (RDAEF2), and I couldn’t be more impressed with her work. From start to finish, she was professional, gentle, and incredibly skilled. She explained the procedure clearly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. You can really tell she knows what she’s doing — the crown fits perfectly and feels great. Jessica’s calm and caring approach made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy. I’m very grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone needing dental care!
Fantastic experience: Dr. AMINI IS AWESOME! 5 STAR DENTIST. I WAS SOO NERVOUS, WHILE SHE CALMED ME DOWN. SHE IS SO SOFT SPOKEN AND PROFESSIONAL. HIGHLY REC!
Negative experience: I booked a 12 PM appointment for my kid with the pediatric dentist, but after arriving, I was told the pediatric dentist is available only twice a month — something they never mentioned over the call. They also took a long time to upload my insurance card. Even though my appointment was at 12 PM, they said the wait time would be 45 minutes to an hour, and the doctor goes for lunch at 1 PM. I don’t understand why they scheduled a 12 PM slot if they already knew the wait time and the doctor’s lunch break. Later, they asked me to come back at 3 PM, but couldn’t even guarantee the wait time. Worst scheduling ever, I left the place immediately and do not recommend this place at all.
Negative experience: Provided inadequate dental care for years which eventually lead to gingivitis and requiring antibiotic implants. Went to a different dentist and was able to resolve many issues in a matter of weeks. Don’t go here.
Negative experience: This is the second one star review I’m leaving for this terrible office. After my last review, including a picture of the Dentist touching my daughter’s legs with gloves on before putting them directly into her mouth, a manager called to apologize and immediately assumed it was a long wait time, didn’t know what date my complaint was about, and insisted that the people employed at this location were “professional”. As someone who works in customer service, i am shocked that she thinks this is an appropriate apology. Unfortunately due to the nature of my daughter’s injury, we had to come back for a checkup. It took 20 minutes for us to simply get called back to a room, and another 20 to be seen. In that time, a dentist and a front desk employee came to our room asking for Jordan. This place can’t even keep track of which patients are in which room! After we were finally seen, the dentist recommended another visit. I told her i could not come back to this office for another day of wasted time and frustration. She mentioned the front desk could email our X-rays and dental records so that our next dentist could provide care. The manager was there and continued to apologize to me about my experience and even had the audacity to recommend a sister store. If they have the same management style and staff training, why in the world would i go to another garbage office? Unsurprisingly, they have been unable to send a simple email. When i called today, i was placed on hold for seven minutes and then reassured that an email would be sent. Do i even need to say it? Of course they haven’t sent one. Management is a joke. Dentists are a joke. Front desk staff are a are nice, but with improper training and terrible leadership, how can they do any better than awful?? Save yourself the frustration and don’t come here. It’s not worth it. Can’t wait to call again tomorrow and see if i can even get the manager on the phone. She’s often with patients, presumably dealing with more complaints.
Negative experience: This place is a total scam!! I went in for a check up, was told I needed a lot of work done even tho I wasn’t in pain. Have been in pain ever since I left this office. Also with my insurance I was told that I only had to pay $130.50 out of pocket. I asked multiple times is that all before I left. Which they stated yes and Now I’m being asked to pay another $335 weeks after I left and have no idea what this charge is for. I’ve never had such a poor experience with a dental office. DO NOT COME HERE!! THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF MONEY EVEN WITH INSURANCE UPDATE: Been months and the manager refuses my call and no one responds to email below. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM
Fantastic experience: Was a pleasure meeting the people at dentist. Everyone is perfect. And friendly. Love it
Negative experience: I came to this dental clinic because the reviews are very good and also i have a emergency on my tooth. first they did inlay on my tooth it was good for 3 months but after 3 months i came back again with the same problem and I told them that the inlay came off for the second times. I spoke to Dores the manager about the situation the manager told me that will just do the crown so that won’t come off anymore but the Dr. decided to do the inlay again but i told the Dr that it’s gonna come off again Dores the manager told me that if the inlay comes off again they will do the crown for free of charge i been struggling and stressed out about of this situation then I found out Dores the manager doesn’t work there anymore and the new manager wants to charge me with everything I wish somebody can help me with this issue now that my tooth is still damaged nothing was done the New Manager doesn’t wanna work with me
Negative experience: Spent 3500.00 and was told insurance would cover the remaining 1600.00. I got a bill afterwards showing insurance charged only 736.59 and they cover only 318.89. With the next bill they sent i finished up paying the entire 736.59 after being told the 3500.00 I had already paid was all I would pay. Criminal. And a lot of money for someone who has to go to work and earn it. Not going back even to finish the work they started and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.
Negative experience: I never leave bad reviews ever but this place is honestly unprofessional and very unwelcoming. not to mention the woman handling the payment process was EXTREMELY pushy and seemed visibly fed up with my questions regarding the process. Also the woman cleaning my teeth today 7/24 rested one of the tools on my upper lip which left the inside of my mouth feeling very sore and uncomfortable. sorry to say that I will never be coming back here and all of my visits here have always been unpleasant and unsatisfactory. :P
Negative experience: I NEVER leave bad reviews... But God. Appointment at 10am. Waited until 10:45 am to get called. X-rays were fast. Then waited 10 minutes to get seen. Fine. Then waited another TWENTY MINUTES for the printout before I just walked out. At 11:25 It's outright disrespectful to waste your customers time. I don't want a disingenuous response from the owner. I want to be compensated for my time being wasted.
Fantastic experience: Dr. John Lehrer is the oral surgeon EVER! Staff was amazing as well. So happy to have found them. Great experience!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're happy to hear that Dr. John Lehrer and our staff provided you with a great experience. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! - Dental Associates of Torrance
Negative experience: Reading these comments, I had very similar (poor) experiences. They doubled charged me for services and have not remedied it yet This occurred 2 weeks ago). They are extremely pushy with extra services and their billing is always somehow inaccurate (in their favor of course). Edit: As per your automated comment below, I have called the office several times and I am always blown off. I'm told they will call back and by now I know this is a lie. They also never answer emails. When will I receive my $350 you overcharged me for?? Edit: Still nothing. Why do you continue to cheat and lie to customers?
Negative experience: PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. I deeply regret not checking their reviews beforehand—there are so many negative ones—but I was in urgent need of care after chipping a tooth and had to find a dentist with next-day availability. When I arrived, they told me it would cost $695 for an onlay for the chipped tooth. They also claimed another tooth needed an onlay, which was another $695, plus $235 for some "irritation liquid." (I won’t even get into the fact that I was there for 4 hours.) During my procedure, the dentist answered a personal phone call, saying her car insurance called her because she had been in a car accident—yes, during my treatment. A few days later, I found out my insurance actually covers the onlay treatment, so I contacted my insurance provider. That’s when I discovered the tooth numbers they claimed were wrong. Three weeks later, I went back to get the onlay placed. I kept telling the dentist it felt too high, but instead of adjusting the new work, she started shaving down a healthy upper tooth. I had to stop her. I ended up going home with uneven teeth, and my tooth became extremely sensitive to cold, hot, and pressure. I went to three different dentists for second opinions. All of them confirmed that what I received wasn’t even a proper onlay—more like an inlay. They were even shocked at the poor quality, saying the work looked 10 years old. Because of this botched procedure, I eventually needed a root canal on the chipped tooth. They refused to fully refund me. Please avoid this dental office. They don’t bill your insurance properly, the front desk staff is rude, and the quality of care is extremely poor. I truly regret ever coming here.
Fantastic experience: Dr Manosov, Lorena and Dr. Amini were all amazing! great costumer service! I did crowns, root canals, fills all went great! Everyone is so kind and professional. Highly recommended !
Fantastic experience: I had the absolute pleasure of working with Arvi C., RDAEF, and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about her! From the very beginning, she was warm, kind, and incredibly patient. She took her time helping me with my impressions and guided me through the entire process with such care and professionalism that I immediately felt comfortable and supported. Arvi’s compassionate nature and calming presence made all the difference. She made sure I understood every step, never rushed me, and handled everything with such gentle confidence. It’s rare to meet someone who combines technical skill with such a genuinely kind and nurturing spirit. Her dedication to her work and to the people she cares for shines through in everything she does. Arvi is not only exceptionally talented in her field but also an amazing person who goes above and beyond to make sure you feel safe, heard, and taken care of. If you ever get the chance to work with Arvi C., RDAEF, consider yourself lucky—she is a true gem in every sense!
Fantastic experience: It was a pleasant experience from the time I walked in and out. Everyone is so nice The Doctor was humble and kind. I feel comfortable going back
Fantastic experience: Ommmgg!!! Dr. Amini is the best Dentist in California Hands down.. I came in with High anxiety and fear!! She was so patient and kind to me the whole time. I got a root canal like 3 cavities filled and impressions done.. This work took over 5 hours..It was crazy!!! She took time to walk me through everything as she was doing it. I still can’t believe i survived..If you are scared out of your mind you need to come see Dr. Amini!! My root canal was pain free and very fast!!
Negative experience: The wait time is horrible. Too long! I tried to get my son’s teeth cleaned but can never seem to get it done. Maybe it’s the insurance which is Medi-Cal. I took him back to this office to give it another try and they said that they lost his records! Will have to find a different dental office. So sad.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Julia. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you encountered with wait times and the issue with your son's records. We understand how important it is to provide efficient and reliable care, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. Please be assured that we are reviewing our processes to improve both patient care and record management. We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your son the best moving forward. - Dental Associates of Torrance
Negative experience: We waited in the waiting room for about an hour and 20 minutes for our appointment. The assistant who took us in for the X-ray acted as if she was being forced to work there. She kept sighing and responded rudely with a grumpy attitude. The only positive aspect was Dr. Amini’s approach toward my child—she was kind, attentive, and had a warm smile.
Negative experience: I had a deep cleaning broken out into 2 sessions. For the second session, I requested not to do the irrigation to the dental assistant and the doctor. At least the dental assistant told the doctor that I did not want the irrigation. However, the doctor still went ahead with the irrigation ($70 per quadrant). I called the office and was informed that the doctor recommended the irrigation, but didn't tell me during the procedure. Pretty shady when the patient requested to specifically not do a service. I recommend for all future patients not to visit this office.
Negative experience: I had been referred to this place by Dental dental insurance. I went to get an estimate for a back crown that had come off and got damaged. My insurance provider told me it should cost me between $125 to no more than $495 for a crown replacement. Right after speaking to the dentist, the officer manager came in and gave me an estimate of $1,050. I told her that’s not possible it would cost me that much since the average price of a simple crown replacement is $1,000 but not with my HMO insurance. I questioned them about it and She came back saying all depends on the insurance and it would take up to 8 weeks to get a pre-approval. They didn’t bother to review the insurance guidelines of their provider nor even bothered to call and find out how much it would cost me for the crown. They tried to bait and switch and upsell me into a $1,050 crown that shouldn’t have cost me no more than $495. I will definitely not go back there and wouldn’t recommend this dental office to anyone. If they tried to pull a fast one on a cancer patient, which They knew I was going through chemotherapy, These crooks will do it to anyone else. I am going to report their unethical conduct to Delta Dental insurance.
Negative experience: I had an extraction done with Dr. Ian. Very rude doctor. He got visibly upset when I said I couldn’t afford the bone thing he wanted to charge me 450 dollars. I wish I left when I saw the look on his face when I said I couldn’t do the bone instead of staying and being treated so horribly. Being a SURGEON requires compassion!
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Patient care and compassion are our top priorities, and we regret any discomfort you felt during your visit. Please contact our office directly so we can address your concerns and find a resolution.
Negative experience: Called for a specific procedure an was told it could be done. Scheduled an appointment early morning, taken for an x ray that was not necessary. Then was told by the surgeon he does not perform specific procedure. Not sure if this type of what seems to be a purposeful mistake is legal or what kind of practices they are trained on but should be looked into thoroughly.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear your experience in our office was less than exceptional. If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone regarding your appointment, please call our customer service line at 833-451-1298 . We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Negative experience: My husband and signed up to this office last year. We have been there couple of times for cleaning and they suggested additional treatment outside of our copay, were we had to pay. Also they suggested a antibiotic treatment that cost $1000 were our daughter got it for lest than half in San Diego. My husband received a collector's bill, eventhough he had paid everything. The office told him not to worry about it, until we got the bill 3 times, and the manager who told him that his account was ok was no longer working there. No one was responsable for this claim, until many phone calls and the insistance of my husband that it got cleared. We are changing dentist and it's been 2 months since we requested our records and xrays and to this day we have not receive them.
Fantastic experience: I had quick and comfortable wisdom teeth removal surgery. I was originally very frightened and the dentist and dental assistant patiently made sure that I was okay while doing the extraction. They offered to let me play music, gave me breaks with water and ensured that I felt safe and comfortable before continuing, thank you again.
Fantastic experience: I had my root canal done here and it was very painlesss, and thanks to the doctors, there were no complications. A huge thank you to Dr. Manossor, and especially Arvi (RDAEF)!!! She was beyond kind and made sure I was well taken care of with the placement of my crown, through all visits!
Negative experience: The worst dental experience I have ever had. I made an appointment for a standard cleaning at 9am, and I did not get called in until 10:30am. They took X-rays and brought me into another room. The insurance lady came over and told me the Doctor recommends getting a deep clean and liquid antibiotics, and it would cost me $1200. I let her know I would just like to proceed with my standard cleaning as my insurance covers this. She responded by saying "the doctor can't clean your teeth until you pay for the deep clean and antibiotics." I asked why, and she said the doctor needs to protect themselves as my teeth can get infected unless I pay for a deep clean. I then asked her if I could have the doctor just do a short floss and polish. She responded "why would the dentist floss your teeth, I just told you they are not going to work on you." I responded maybe they would clean my teeth since that is what dentists do and that's what my appointment was for, and told her I would no longer speak to her, and asked for the Doctor. She said the doctor was with another patient and I would have to wait. The doctor finally came over and gave me a 5 minute cleaning. The only bright spot was the hygienist. I don't understand how the woman who tells you the cost still has a job..... She is losing this business customers for sure.
Negative experience: Dr. Amini (DDS) with the able assistance of Arvi Cruzado (RDAEF2) provided me with excellent care. Dr. Amini is knowledgeable, meticulous and caring. She has restored my faith in dentists as a whole. Originally gave them five stars. UPDATE while I still respect the dental expertise of the office staff, THE LAB THEY USE IS ENTIRELY ANOTHER STORY - FIDELITY DENTAL LAB. Dispite being sent 2 molds of my teeth, they managed to mess up both attempts at replacing my right incisor (in photo it is on your left) with a replica of the original. As evidenced by my left incisor (on the right in photo), they were long and pointed and sharp. Now only one of them is, as this crown I have (IN MY SMILE ZONE) is short rounded off at the bottom and dull. The ONLY thing their lab got right was the color. There is no way the crown I now have in my mouth was made from MY mold. Why did they even bother taking a mold (2 molds) of my teeth if their lab was going to send me an "off the rack" crown. It's like paying extra for a custom tailored suit, having your measurements taken, only to end up with a suit that is too large and has one sleeve noticeably shorter than the other. Sure the material is expensive but how EXACTLY does that make up for the other inadequacies of the product!?
Positive experience: It’s a simple fact: Mistake happens. But I want to share something that you guys have to be aware of. There is a coordinator who her job is telling you how much you have to pay for the service you receive. Long story short. She said I have to pay 360. I asked if she is certain about my insurance policy and eligibility. She said Yes and she insisted that I have no choice but to pay. I trusted her and we agreed on 320. Afterwards, I called my insurance. Guess what? It was fully covered by insurance. Eventually, they refunded my money. But, what happened if I trusted her and didn’t confirm it? So, “to trust” or “not to trust” is your choice, but “to confirm” is highly recommended.
Negative experience: I gave this office 5 stars years ago but now is a different story ...the saleperson Heidi was not pleased when I didn't buy all that services she was offering because I couldn't afford $1500 worth of stuff She pulled the whole " if you don't take care of yourself your family will suffer card"! It's a tooth!!! Extremely doubt that a tooth and not buying a $500 nightguard will stop me to taking care of my family!!! After this I was told to go back outside and wait ( untill maybe) someone is available to see me..this is after 2 hrs !!! I think I'm taking my teeth somewhere else And Heidi needs "how to do successfull pitch sale" lesson
Positive experience: I was looking for a dentist because the dentist I had was at least I thought was a dentist that was honest and caring come to find out he was just a rip off.So I went to work searching out a new dentist a stumbled upon west coast dental everyone here so far I can say has been very professional straight forward caring and friendly. I love that Mrs.Audi. Doctor I saw made it personal she made sure my needs were met and I was completely okay.,.Dr.Audi... she saved me a lots of money when previous dentist stated I needed some that was not going to work long term offered suggestions and provided options. So far so good you all rock West Coast Dental...my visit was amazing my mother now wants to switch offices great job team from the time you step into the doors everyone is professional friendly service in and out….

Fantastic experience: I have to take all my theeth out at once and replace those with dentures. They did a 5.000 job. Truly outstanding job. Thank very much for everything you guys did, to put me back to the normal live. I felling that my life was. Actually Patricia was the person who's took care of my mouth. She's really dedicated professional.
Thank you for putting your trust in our practice! We hope to continue to care for your smile for all your future appointments to come. See you soon!
Negative experience: My kid has autism, and they said he says gingivitis and wanted to charge him $1,280 and if he refused the document said that if he declined treatment, he assumes full responsibility that could affect his coverage! He had to wait almost two hours. It was a real eye opener finding this out, as his mother, my blood is boiling!!!!
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Patient care and understanding are our top priorities, and we regret any distress caused. Please contact our office directly so we can address your concerns and find a resolution.
Negative experience: Horrible place don’t come here. They double book appointments. The girl who comes around to talk to you about your paperwork is very unprofessional. I had to hold my nose because Her perfume was so heavy. Her lack of empathy and understanding shows that she does not belong in this field. I got up and walked out. I will never come back to this office.

Negative experience: My experience was a nightmare, i went there for filling and i have no pain with it and she put me on anesthesia and drill me telling me that i need to be root canal and crown , so she did something to my nerves on my tooth and give me severe pain the whole night was terrible no sleep and i call the office to send me a pain killer the employee told me they will send to my pharmacy and went to Rite Aid and i dont have any prescription. I am so upset and with alot of pain for bad experience with their clinic, I wish to read the reviews first now i know they’re not good clinic. All employees are much talking they dont do any work to help the patients solve the problem.
Negative experience: I called to make an appointment and was sent a text with your location on Hawthorne Bl in Torrance. I arrived at the office 10 min before my scheduled time. 15 min later, the receptionist at the desk called my name and told me my appointment was at the other office. She told me to check my phone as they sent 2 addresses. I checked and showed her they did not they send the office correct location. I ask if she could call the office to check if they would still see me. She said she was calling now. I didn't know I should had stayed to verify her actually calling. The other office was 9 min away so I drove to the Sepulveda location. Once I arrived, I told her what happened and told her the receptionist called. She told me no one called to verify so they were unable to see me and offered no suggestions or another appointment. I should not be surprise by your staff not calling because when I showed her I was not given the correct address that day of, she was contentious. I would never come back as I observed 2 clients walking out because they had not been seen and would be late for their other appt. I could hear as the others ask the receptionist. Where did this "girls" come from they have little professionalism and she lied about such a minor thing to do. I would have taken less than 30 seconds, they were doing anything beside talking bad employees.
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Patient communication and care are our top priorities, and we regret any inconvenience caused. Please contact our office directly so we can address your concerns and find a resolution.
Negative experience: Each time with a different scenario, nobody told us how much for x-ray before starting and no customer service at all. Fristly we have a kids check up and they told us there is 4 cavities but we must meet the specialist and when we done the second x-ray 2 days after with the specialist the told us it's 14 cavities and the amount they were ask for were to much. Secondly we found an invoice form them for the x-ray which was also too much but what we can do except to pay, and when we tried to do so we found the amount triple the one in the invoice they sent by mail. Third, we tried to contact them more than three times to satle this up, and the same scenario kept repeating, transferring, wait a lot of time, and then someone took the call and hung up right away.
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Patient communication and transparency are our top priorities, and we regret any confusion regarding your treatment and billing. Please contact our office directly so we can address your concerns and find a resolution.
Negative experience: I made an appointment for 2pm today and immediately after my X-rays were completed the doctor decided to take their lunch. When I asked for a wait time after being told this I was given attitude by the girl with a nose stud and tattoo on her right hand. Her and two others sat a few feet away from me at the desk speaking in Spanish, incorrectly assuming I don't understand them, they proceeded to talk about me. They also told me I could reschedule if I didn't want to wait but I'm in pain and don't have free time to reschedule. I made this appointment specifically asking to make sure there was time to do work that needed done and that I'm in horrible pain. The doctors choose when to take their lunch and they decided to take it in the middle of my appointment.

Negative experience: I been getting deep cleanings for at least 10 years. I even got one there my first cleaning with them. I came 6 months ago after 2 years not seeing dentist and they gave me a regular cleaning. Came this time and for the first time in my ADULT life, I got a polish and nothing else like I was a 4 year old. No one could explain to me if somehow my gums just healed on their own with no care but my own. I did not receive proper care and will be checking with my insurance to see what was charged and complain. This was my 2nd chance with this office. There won't be a third. My dental health is not their concern. "New management " hasn't changed anything for the better. They only had 1 doctor for all patients.
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Patient care and transparency are our top priorities, and we regret any confusion regarding your treatment. Please contact our office directly so we can address your concerns and find a resolution.
Negative experience: Office workers on the phone are very nice. Unfortunately, I never got to see a doctor. Both my initial Saturday appointments were canceled last minute. My PM Saturday appointment was canceled due to doctor’s family emergency. Second AM Saturday appointment was canceled due to doctor leaving early. Both appointments were canceled by office approximately two hours before my appointment.
Negative experience: Don’t bother arriving on time for your appointment, you will be waiting at least an hour. Staff aren’t very cordial and didn’t seem to care to keep their clients waiting. While waiting my mother heard from a lady that her treatment date was moved several times so we decided to not waste our time here.
Thank you for taking the time to bring this issue to our attention. On behalf of the office, I would like to deeply apologize for the experience you’ve had with us. We would value the opportunity to help resolve this situation. If you could please email us at [email protected] with your information and an office manager will reach out to you regarding this matter. Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Under new management Praise the Lord ♥️ I'm so grateful I gave this dental office a second chance! Doctors and new staff are amazing. Thank you for my smile! Blessings ♥️
Negative experience: This place is a scam. They did my x rays and told me I needed a crown after telling me I had no new cavities nor any root canal. Made no sense. They tried to charge me 1000$ cash for gum disease when I have insurance. They didn’t clean my teeth or anything and just sent me on my way rescheduling me for a deep clean instead. I have 2 friends who are dentists, one in Spain and one in San Diego; they told me a cleaning is a common procedure for any dental visit. I also requested for my files to be sent to me. No one sent me my information after telling me they would do so. Every patient has a right to their files and information.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are so sorry to hear this was your experience with our office. We have passed along your experience to the Office Manager for further review. If you need additional help or have any questions, we urge you to call our office or send us an email at info @westcoastdental.com
Negative experience: This place is literal garbage, their implants are the actual worst things to exist. Friends of mine have had their teeth fall off just by sneezing!! They’re super passive aggressive and this dental groups customer service is absolute trash. They don’t even deserve not even one damn star. Implants shouldn’t fall, and honestly this clinic seems as if they hire people that lie on their resumes. Do not recommend.
We are so sorry to hear this was your experience with our office. If you need additional help or have any questions, we urge you to call our office or send us an email at [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Im so happy with the treatments our family received, in this location. If your looking for painfree root canals, go to Dr.Amini. Jackie also was a great help and answered all of our questions. Overall we had a great experience.
Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful dental experience with Dr. Nasrin. Her exceptional skills and meticulous attention to detail are matched only by her kindness and genuine care for her patients. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and I cannot recommend Dr Nasrin highly enough. She is an incredible professional - one in a million! The office staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: What an amazing staff! Im normally scared of the dentist but this appointment was actually not torture for 2 wisdom teeth extractions! Woman taking my xrays was so kind and caring. Especially checking in on me from a long wait because of the xray machine was down. I am so happy the doctor waited for the best xray results before working and when he did he worked so fast and knew how to calm me down when I'm so scared at the dentist I shake for hours-Normally! But not this time! Such a great experience. Fast! Such an efficient staff and trusting process for being a procedure such as 2 wisdom teeth.
Negative experience: Horrible service! We arrived eighteen minutes prior to my son's appointment. At four o'clock I'm informed his insurance needed to be verified and it would take one hour before he could be seen due to under staffing issues. This is totally unacceptable. I definitely will not recommend them to anyone.
Fantastic experience: One of the best dental office so far! Came for a deep cleaning and they have one of best hygienist in this office! Dr Chris really took his time and made sure that the cleaning was as painless as possible. Will recommend 100%.
Fantastic experience: New patient to office and let me tell you the office is amazing from the front staff to the back staff, always so friendly always willing to help patients. The doctors are amazing specially Dr. Nasrin always so nice answers all my questions and concerns. I recommend this dental office to anyone.
Thank you for putting your trust in our practice. We hope to continue providing only the very best dental services to you for all your future appointments to come, and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.
Negative experience: Front desk is unprofessional and the waiting is extremely ridiculous. After 1st visit I waited so long for results I left with being told they would email me my info. Never got it and had to call in to schedule my second visit for filling. My insurance was approved for nitrogen but when I got there I was told it wasn't covered, only to find out the truth was the doctor was not authorized to use nitrogen. I felt very uncomfortable, no respect from staff because no one communicated and the front desk got attitude when I asked the proper questions needed for my procedure and comfort. I advise everyone to never step into that facility. Blessings and always listen to your intuition.
Negative experience: Horrible dentist. Let all of my authorizations expire. Never did any work on my teeth, just fast incorrect x-rays, when calling the front office ladies are just goofy always hanging up in patients faces and laughing about it after like it's no big deal. Unprofessional. Unexperienced. Do not look forward to going back, instead I found a very updated, clean, very experienced dentist who within 1 week has my authorizations back and ready to complete the work I've been waiting since January for this office to do!!!! Wait time is always ridiculous. I see I am not the only one to complain about the experience so Will be reaching out to the BBB.
Fantastic experience: Best dental services ever! Immaculate, friendly, completely professional. I am no longer anxious about sitting in the chair! No pain! The ladies in the front office deftly manage the delivery of superb services with my insurance coverages while always scheduling me on days and at times which do not conflict with my work commitments. Alex polished my teeth so well that I am happy to smile again! Chris performed my deep cleaning with consummate care and a relaxing manner which was painless and efficient. Wonderful people! Great results. I am their patient for life!
Negative experience: My son had a 10 am appointment to have his wisdom teeth pulled. We waited and waited and waited in the waiting area. Periodically I checked to get an update for when he would be called. They finally took him to the back and had him seated in a operating room chair. That was after 2 1/2 hrs. We waited another hour while he was in the operating chair. My son was getting very frustrated and impatient. I finally let the front desk know that we were leaving and could wait no longer. Total time before leaving, ;3 1/2 hrs. The problem is that they over book. I saw 4 people sign in for a 10 am appointment. Several more for 9:30 and a couple more for 10:30. This is oral surgery. They can’t possibly help 4 patients in one hour. Only one oral surgeon.
Positive experience: I made an EMERGENCY appointment via phone. I arrive with a swollen face and pain Days later to be told I have no appointment. But they fit me in great! The receptionist ladies could use a bit of customer training regarding speaking about client services in front of other customers. One lady out of 3 was very rude. However the dentist and staff behind the scene were amazing! The bathroom had tissue all over the floor. No paper towels to dry hands! But hey I’m here for the dentist… looking to find a permanent professional dental home. I left feeling so so. Let’s see how this goes. I’ll be glad to do another review …pending authorization for services that takes weeks.
Negative experience: I called 6 times to see if my insurance was eligible for my appointment that day. They kept telling me they were going to call me back and no one did . I continued to keep calling to check is my benefits were eligible, and I was put on hold and they were barely running my benefits . Rude workers have no care for patients time or needs , I've had multiple incidents with my family where they make them wait 3-4 hrs to get care . DONT COME HERE , if you actually want good service , they have 2 stars for a reason on yelp!!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dental Associates of Torrance was great. Everyone there was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who is scared of the Dentist. All the girls were very professional and kind. Very happy I found them. ☺️ Stacey Hernandez

Negative experience: Had an appt at 12:30pm showed up 10 minutes early and was still called in an hour later. Assistant was helpful but oral surgeon came in the room for 20 seconds max looked at the x ray and walked out didn’t even acknowledge me as a patient.

Negative experience: I was disappointed because they didn't help me for what I actually went for. I had pain my lower tooth, nothing was really done to help me for that and all they talked about was what I didn't need at that moment. I was totally annoyed and aggravated for all they wanted to talk about was money that my insurance would not cover.. just address the issue I came for and we'll talk about the rest at a later date. I'm definitely not sure about returning. Hopefully I can find a much better recommendation that would be accommodating.
Hi Debra, we are deeply sorry to hear about your negative experience at our office. We value your feedback and take it seriously. if you would be willing to provide more details and/or have any questions, we urge you to contact us via email at [email protected]. We will look into this matter internally.
Negative experience: Too much wait time , my appointment was at 9:30 for a consultation &’I wasn’t seen due to under staff issues which is not my problem! Prioritize better so patients are not feeling left alone just sitting and waiting and other patients being called before other people who Are On time. The staff is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I understand being friendly Leigh patients but the language is very unprofessional, we are NOT FRIENDS! This place is very unprofessional
Hi, we are sorry to hear about your experience in our office and with our staff. On the behalf of our Torrance office, I'd like to apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are implementing more conscious efforts to improve patient experience and if you'd like to reach out with any more questions, please email [email protected]. Once again, I apologize for your less than excellent experience in our office and I hope we are able to resolve any issues if you decide to reach out. Thank you
Negative experience: I showed up 5 minutes early for my 9am appointment and had all of my paperwork filled out by 9:05. They didn't get my cleaning done until 10:40. The actual service was fine, but not one person apologized for the extended wait time. Also they didn't give me the free toothbrush :(
Negative experience: My appointment was cancelled nobody told me. I showed up they said they could fit me in. I waited an hour to be seen. Had X-rays and spoke with a dentist who said they didn’t plan to clean my teeth I needed a new appointment even though I was there for a teeth cleaning. The waiting room is dirty looks like the dmv and smells bad. I will not be going back
Thank you for taking the time to bring this issue to our attention. On behalf of the office, I would like to apologize for the less than exceptional service you experienced. We know how frustrating it can be to be rescheduled when you have gone out of your way to make it to our office. We try our best to ensure that these types of occurrences do not happen regularly and are making a conscious effort to better our communication and patient experience.
Negative experience: Let's mention the obvious - you come and wait for an hour for xrays and 3 minute consult. I had to do a consultation for 2 root canals and an extraction. They booked two separate apps - one for xrays and one for panoramic xrays. I found out that was just another trick to keep billing the insurance for more. Normal xrays were not needed if panoramic ones were done. They try to sell you on braces so the other services are just to lure patients in. After waiting for weeks for them to keep lying that they are sending for preauthorization but billing department does it via mail and then the faxes were not going thru from the insurance, the insurance got ahold of them and got it sorted out with them. Just then I was able to "schedule" and appt, which was given to me for 5 weeks out due to their specialist being on location once per month. I found another endodontist but had to do the process form the beginning- get referral for consult, attend the consult, get xrays again, get preauthorization to be requested, get it approved by the insurance, schedule for root canal work to be done. This delayed my treatment by months and ensured agonizing pain. Do not accept referrals to this office. If your primary dentist says you need to go out to a specialist, call your insurance and get a list of apeclists, read the reviews and call them to make sure they can see you in a timely fashion and have the equipment needed to do the work. Out of 2 teeth that need root canal Dental Associates said they can only do one because the other one was too complicated for them and needed a microscope. They are in business to sell braces and Invisalign, and all other services are just a lure for patients to their office to get you to get teeth alignment treatments.
Hi, Christina, we deeply apologize for the experience you've had in our office. We take all patient experience seriously and are making a conscious effort to prioritize patient experience during their appointments with us, so we appreciate you for bringing this to our attention. If you would like to speak with someone further about this, we urge you to email us at [email protected]. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we thank you for sharing your experience.
Negative experience: Dental associates of Torrance is an Absolutely HORRIBLY run business !! UNPROFESSIONAL, bordering on FRAUDULENT ! You wait an hour to be seen even when no one is in the waiting room. The x-rays and exam took about 20 minutes. Then the dentist spends 45 minutes upselling you for 2-$3,000 of unnecessary work. After 90 minutes of waiting they REFUSED to clean my teeth ! because they “need to submit for deep cleaning” (to be paid more). They told me to leave and they will call within two weeks. (NO CALL) When the insurance denied their (false) request (I rec’d the denial by mail) they refused to give me an appt for regular cleaning WHAT A SCAM!!! I then signed and handed them a release (in person) and also emailed a request for my dental records (to take to a good dentist) ! (which by law they are required to provide) Yesenia, the office manager refused to pick up the phone or return my call, after being on hold for 35 minutes and after speaking with Evelyn, Jessica and Carolina, who “promised to call back”. No one did Perhaps this will get their attention, but I doubt it. My advice: Just RUN ! FAST AND FAR!!!♂️
Positive experience: Overall I am happy with this Dental office. I had a bad experience with their Iral Surgeon. Not friendly or compassionate in any way. I was not expecting him to remove the tooth that day so I was a little startled when he picked up the needle to give me a shot. Anyway, he gave me the shots, with a little attitude, then proceeded to pull my back molar. It felt like it was coming out of my neck. It took several attempts to get it out & it HURT. Afterwards he said to keep the socket clean & he left. No pain meds or antibiotics to hold off an infection. Very poor chair-side behavior. When I went back for another reason I told my dentist about my experience, she was surprised & said it would be handled. She prescribed antibiotics & pain meds.
Negative experience: I was told to wait 2-4 weeks for insurance to approve my procedure then after 4 plus weeks I came in for a different issue and when I asked for an update to the pending insurance issue I was told that they now can’t do anything unless I had done other treatments first! I would’ve appreciated being told this in the first place- I need clarity! Valuable time wasted meanwhile I’m suffering from tooth pain.
Negative experience: I had a root canal, crown and deep cleaning. I spent almost 11 hours in the office in just 3 visits. While the staff seems nice and the work done is good, I would not recommend because it really can ruin one's day when you don't know if you're going to be stuck for 4 hours at a time.
Fantastic experience: Dr Sidhu and Girlie were amazing and so professional with my elderly mom. She has arthritis in her back and they were efficient, fast and took excellent care of her. Our dental visits are much more pleasant and smooth thanks to the new staff.
Positive experience: Staff is friendly, especially Girlie is very nice to my son. Dr. Nasrin is very knowledgeable. However, waiting time is crazy. In addition, they try to take your money as much as they can. You should be aware of which dental services you want. There are some hidden fees. For example, the crow costs around $360, but they will charge $150 extra for dental impression, ...
Negative experience: This Dental office gave me the worst experience that stopped me to go check up for 4 years. When Dr. Tells you need fillings, change of crowns….or your gum needs deep cleaning, needs shot for $200…!PLEASE get 2nd opinion. When Dr. gave me many Anesthetic to keep my mouth numb for long period of time so she can service others and when she saw me crying silently, she wanted to give me more shot ! Cry was for frustration, helplessness, regret for trusting…… Sorry for Dental facilities and Dr.s Who make patients feel like that.
Positive experience: Wait time is ridiculous. They book too many at the same time so you're sitting in the waiting room for about an hour then waiting maybe another half hour in a chair before you're seen. Some staff are polite, some okay. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. Feel like you're in an assembly line.
Negative experience: Waited almost 5 hours for a rx for antibiotics had to come 4 times to get one tooth pulled always have appointments always wait several hours. They will tell you it takes a long time for authorization but I called denti cal and they had not even submitted emergency referral denti cal told me would be approved or denied in 24 hours but front desk said otherwise. Probably takes much longer because front desk doesn’t even bother to submit emergency referral for days…
Negative experience: Had no idea why we we there in the first place, most were rude, didn't allow parent to stay with child, was talking about other stuff than the our main concern/ issue that we were there about. When asked about our record including what needs to be done, was told to wait until end of week to get it. Why can't you just write it down on piece of paper? Didn't have our previous visit record at all. Really wasted our day and time and was told they can't do the procedure on same day and reschedule.
Fantastic experience: I came in for a routine check up. Dr. Audi is amazing. She is gentle, kind, well experienced, knowledgeable, patient, in her exam. She explained thoroughly what her findings, assessments, and recommendations are. I also appreciate the help of her awesome assistants Girlie, Arvi, and Jojo. I will definitely recommend this office..
Fantastic experience: Dr. Amal Audi and her dental assistant Girlie are absolutely phenomenal!! They are so patient and kind and do beautiful work! My smile never looked better. Her whole staff including Arvi. Stay cool gang!!
Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend! People in the front where so friendly and made me feel welcomed, especially in the back Dr. Audi was extremely nice. My treatment was well explained, I’m definitely coming back to continue!
Fantastic experience: I’m honestly the worst patient when it comes to my teeth but everyone on staff; from the scheduling my appointment with Fabiola, getting my x-rays taken by Britney, co-examined by very knowledgeable Dr’s Audi, Brad and Alyssa . Hygienist Chris was very patient and thorough. RDA’s Angie and Girlie were very kind and helpful. Honestly I was there the whole day (if that says anything about my teeth) so I forget everyone else I apologize. But the experience was great and I’m glad to have found a place that cares for my teeth more than I do. Thank you Team!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Audi created such a pleasant day of pampering for my teeth. She made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and took the time to explain everything to help me understand what would be happening. I really felt like I was in good hands. All the staff that took care of me today made my experience feel personalized. Also, I highly recommend their teeth whitening. The immediate results are evident. I can’t wait to see the longterm results with follow-up at home treatments.
Fantastic experience: Angie is awesome and she explained everything so well. Dr Audi is great too and helped me feel comfortable. Denise And Marbellyn were wonderful in helping me understand the costs associated with my procedure. Dental visits can be so confusing and intimidating but they made it much better. Thank you everyone!
Negative experience: Worst place ever ! The new ortho Dr.Julie Is by far the worst, she only cares about how much she’s getting paid and now about the customer service. Had got treatment with them and the Dr before was way better. So unprofessional, there always late. She will literally rush you out and not do your treatment. She’s doesn’t explain or helps you in the process. Spent over 5k and 4 years for my teeth to look the same and for her to ask me to get another 2 years ? Ridiculous.
Negative experience: They are HORRIBLE. Do not go here if you want any type of dental work. They wanted $$$ only- not concerned with basic cavities. Wanted to charge $6,000 more than insurance covered. Missed one large cavity on front tooth. Had to inquire about it myself. Then they would schedule us- keep us (I took my teenager here) in waiting room for over an hour to say they are too busy- would have to reschedule. This happened twice! Still not completed the fillings!! I have switched dentists- it is horrible customer service at front desk- they yell and hang up on you. They place you on hold and leave you there for 30-45 min The dentist (one) contracts students from UCLA- and students don’t want to come here. It’s not good. Any good reviews are probably friends of employees. Even the staff talk about each other. As we were waiting for work to be done- staff was talking about one girl making the employee bathroom her office because she was always in there. I wouldn’t go back here if it was free.
Negative experience: Total wait time has been more than 3.5 hours every time. Dentist Amal is friendly but sloppy. I would much rather have a professional than a superficially friendly dentist. It's exasperating. Dentist runs around from one patient to the next without completing the job. The assistant Britney is even worse, again friendly but very rough and exhibits poor technical skills. Fees are another issue. They are inconsistent with payment fees constantly, which is a huge Red Flag. Insert hidden fees anywhere they can. Not interested in being their client any longer. At the end of the day my family and I are paying for excellent service and this is not where we want to spend our money. We have lived in RB for decades and this has been one of the worst dental offices we've ever been to.
Negative experience: My son had an appointment For a specialist to see him. My regular dentist office sent the referral and I made sure they had all the paper work ready to see him. We went to the appointment and the receptionist there was rude like it was my fault that she didn’t know where the referral was. The receptionist during the week told Me everything was ready and they had received the referral. My son was there for hours and they ended up saying nothing could be done because they didn’t have the referral. I’m assuming before a patient comes in they prepare a file but I guess not in this place.
Fantastic experience: Everyone in this office is so kind and helpful. Everybody in the front desk is so nice and very welcoming when it comes down to patients. I will definitely recommend my family to como in to this dental office. Also can’t forget about the people in the back & dr Audi . Thank you so much for helping me out & feel confidence about my teeth.
Fantastic experience: The front desk was awesome. So so nice and make you feel comfortable. I was so nervous about going to dentist. I Put it off for years but the girls made me feel welcomed and the Dentist was so informative and took her time to explain every single thing. She really made me feel confident that I would smile again and be able to take pictures again with my family. Thank you all so very much. I recommend this place to the world ♥️
Fantastic experience: This was my first time here, but Dr. Audi and Angie Nutas were spectacular! It was a packed day and they were short staffed, but nonetheless I was treated very well by the entire staff and was able to get my cleaning done in a short, but thorough manner. I would recommend this establishment because I was treated like family, even though this was my first appointment. I will return here again for my next appointment.
