Fantastic experience: Hadn't been to the dentist in 6+ years before my first visit to Simple Smiles Lakewood, but will be back here for a cleaning twice a year from now on. Communicative and friendly staff made everything easy. Dr. Huyen was awesome!

Negative experience: Don't desk/receptionist/ billing is incompetent. They were paid for co-pays in the past. Then when I came in for a new cleaning they tried to say I owed them over 500 dollars for co-pays. I brought proof that they were paid, gave them check numbers and showed proof from my laptop on my flex spending account that they were paid and they still insisted they weren't paid and that they were never given flex account information. This is not the 1st time I've argued that they were paid. My last visit we were both on the phone with the flex spending rep and they were AGAIN given the claims address. They obviously cannot pay anything that they were not billed. If the front desk is incompetent in billing i should not be responsible to pay. Learn how to bill. I cannot baby step you through the process every time I'm seen. If there's been payment before then why not all the other times? Even after providing check numbers they're still saying they weren't paid.

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist in Lakewood/Denver Colorado. Olivia was great at cleaning my teeth, lots of car and detail. Took her time an gave me a lot of advice to keep my teeth cleaner. Before Olivia I had someone else and she did great as well she told me she was leaving so the next time I wouldn’t see her. But The team and everyone does well regardless of who I have been getting to clean my teeth.

Positive experience: Love it they are fast and efficient except this one dentist I think she was Asian ethnicity dropped dental tools on my teeth like two times I’ve been there. I could have chipped a front tooth . Just felt personal for some reason

Fantastic experience: 2nd review a year after my first review - Simple smiles still CRUSHING it a year later. I had to go and get some more dental work done and for the first time in my life I was excited to go to the dentist. The staff is amazing as ever. They truly love what they do and these women shine doing it. Dr. Knuckles is a new addition to the team and she did a stellar job on my crown. I even made an appointment 6 months in advance for my next cleaning and I can't wait to come back and see some of my favorite people. For real Simple smiles is a truly remarkable practice with truly amazing and beautiful women running the show. 1st review-If there was a way to give this place all the stars in the galaxy it still wouldn’t be enough to tell y'all how incredible this place is. One day I was flossing my teeth and my tooth shot right out of my face and onto my living room floor. After the sheer panic of what had just happened passed and I realized it was my crown that a previous dentist had done and screwed up I began the dreaded search for a dentist that could fix my hillbilly mouth. Simple smiles was the third place I called that took my insurance and could get me on their schedule in a timely manner. I went in not expecting much from the experience but let me tell you the doctor instantly made me feel comfortable by matching my energy and reassuring me every step of the way. She was funny, kind, and even laughed at me as I shamelessly flirted with her the entire time. After they had gotten the scans they needed they sent out for the new crown and I waited for them to advise me when to come back. Didn’t take but a couple days and I was back in the hot seat ready to get my crown put in. Much to my dismay after they placed it in my mouth they said that something didn’t seem right so they rescanned me and explained that they wouldn’t put the crown in until it was absolutely perfect so they apologized I would have to wait a little longer but they sent out for another crown to be made. Personally that made me trust them even further and made me even more grateful I had found them. They called me a couple days later and even gave me an appointment the same day. So in I went and the tooth was flawless and they had it all said and done in about 30 mins. Every single person in that office was incredible. They were patient and kind and went the extra mile at every turn. Since I hadn’t been to a dentist in quite a few years they did a cleaning and there is a bit more work to be done but for once I am looking forward to my next dentist appointment. If you are looking for a new dentist this should be your first and only call. You will not regret it for one second. The staff and the doctors are phenomenal. This is hands down the best dental practice I have ever stepped foot in.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Huyen Hoang has been my dentist for as long as I can remember! From my early days as a patient at Kids Dental, she has always stood out for her compassion, intelligence, and gentle approach. Her work has consistently been flawless. I’ve never had a single issue, no matter the procedure. I’ve came to this dentist for cleanings, fillings, crowns, wisdom teeth removal etc. and I’ve never had a single complaint! When I left for college, I stopped going to the dentist for a while. But when a friend (also a longtime patient of hers) told me she had opened her own practice, I was so relieved. I genuinely enjoy going to the dentist because I know I’m in the hands of someone who truly cares about her work and prioritizes her patients’ comfort and care. Dr. Hoang and all the staff is honestly the best and I appreciate their hospitality so much !

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my 95 year old grandpa here and he’s always so hesitant about getting treatment or leaving the house anymore but this is one place he doesn’t mind going because he feels heard and cared for. I really appreciate their attention to detail and care especially for my grandpa. Highly recommend and not only is the doctor great but the front office staff is so accommodating and helpful when we had issues getting faxes from our provider. The entire dental team is great!

Fantastic experience: Care is prompt and thorough while Dr. Hoang is incredibly personable and friendly. Cleanings are also very good, and all of the assistants are very good at explaining what to do to take the best care of your teeth (ex not just to floss, but explaining how to floss effectively). The office has done what it can to work with my insurance to get me the best care. I’m still relatively new, but my experience so far has been very positive.

Fantastic experience: I had to switch to this dentist when giggles dental closed without warning or cares for its patients my cousin recommended it as we both have a handful of kids and we our selfs with our husbands needed a place for our dental care and they have been amazing taking in my family. Fantastic experience: Simple Smiles - Dr Huyen Huang is great- I had a really positive experience with simple smiles - I came to Dr Huang at a very negative experience with my last dental provider- whom I will not mention. A friend gave me Simple Smiles number as well as Dr Huang cell phone after listening to me tell about the trust I had lost in dentists especially the ones who accepted Medicaid. They got me in right away and we came up with a treatment plan- I needed three wisdom teeth pulled and at least 4 root canals - two of which were started and seriously hindered by the last dentist. Dr Huang sat with me and explained everything - I also liked that she did not jump on the band wagon with me and talk down on the other dentist. I liked that it showed integrity… simple smiles offers modern cutting edge techniques as well as State of the art technology. They are quick, on time and efficient. Dr Huang also was very honest with me about referring me to specialists. Offering me two choices but offering one as the one that will take a little longer but is the one she would send her family to. At the end of all this it took about 3 months of appointments. I am able to chew again- without being in constant pain- the crowns that were put on me are straight up artisan. Dr Huang is meticulous and extremely talented at what she does. I would go so far as call her an artist. Every member of the staff and the specialists I was sent to are professional but still are friendly and offer a personal touch. Negative experience: If you care about your teeth DO NOT go here!! Please. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have always taken care of my teeth and never had any dental pain, sensitivity, or problems. After going here for a routine cleaning they told me I had multiple cavities that needed filled immediately, and of course I agreed. After spending hours with a dental hygienist, drilling into my teeth at top notch speed; finally my teeth were filled and I WAS IN PAIN!!! I had to go back multiple times for them to drill my molar cavity to fix my bite, And by that time my tooth was basically non existent. I was never able to eat on that side of my mouth again, and even slightly cold water would case me intense pain. The “doctor” told me to just use Sensodyne toothpaste and it should go away. Nine months later, out of nowhere, I end up with an intense infection in my #2 molar. My entire face swelled up like a balloon and I was in the worst pain of my life. After seeing 2 different professional dentist, it was confirmed that the infection was as caused by BAD dental work. I had to get an emergency tooth extraction. The lack of care and attention to detail here is disgusting. Please do yourself a favor! Don’t get dental work done at this place.

Fantastic experience: Dr Huyen and her team provide outstanding service and care for their patients. I have never been a big fan of going to the dentist, but at Simple Smiles I have only had positive experiences since first coming here nearly 3 years ago. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. I recently came in and had less than a week to have a deep cleaning scheduled. The team worked with me to make sure I was able to have the work done on time. I have referred friends and family who all have nothing but positive feedback for the office.

Negative experience: I had extreme anxiety so I got fired from the dentist. I now have had to have 2 root canals, 3 crowns and it cost me 6 grand. Thanks for screwing me over .

Fantastic experience: I'm currently pregnant and I was a little anxious because I needed to have some metal fillings remove and replace but Dr. Huyen was able to ease my worries and made me feel comfortable and reassured she is really lovely and does great work. Her assistant was really lovely as well and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely recommend this place and will be returning here.

Fantastic experience: I have had a ton of dental work throughout my life and I’ve never been to any office that works to make you comfortable as much as Simple Smiles. Not only are they big on educating you and letting you know all your options without being alarmist or trying to scare you into treatment, they are really kind and accommodating and want to understand your goals. Their equipment is modern and up to date (who knew X-rays didn’t have to be uncomfortable and painful?!) and they even have tvs on the ceilings so you can watch whatever you want on Netflix while you’re getting work done. They really consider your experience, even down to applying lip balm on throughout your treatment so that you don’t leave with super dry, chapped lips. I have been extremely pleased with my experiences here and am so happy I found them.

Negative experience: Have been a patient at Simple Smiles for 3 years and always have had a great experience...until now. It has now been 6 days since I visited with office with an emergency tooth issue, and no one has called to let me know what treatment plan is going to resolve this issue. A front office employee was going to check with insurance to see how much of a crown would be covered and would call me as soon as it was determined. This was 6 days ago and still no contact from this office. This is shows how little importance I am to their business and will be making a change for my future dental healthcare. Very disappointed in the lack of follow-up or concern shown.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist I’ve ever been too, bar none. Dr. Huyen and her team are phenomenal. They are through, kind, and reasonable. I highly recommend them, particularly if you are someone who is scared to go to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Finally found a great dentist after moving back to Colorado for a year. Originally called around asking for help ASAP because my husband's crown fell off and Dr Huyen was able to squeeze him in before the weekend. The entire staff is friendly and very professional. Listening to both my husband's and my concerns regarding our teeth and our goals. We knew we needed some major work done since we've neglected it since the pandemic, they laid out all pricing before we booked an appointment for crowns, deep cleaning. Don't let the building exterior fool you! The minute you walk in you can see the modern clean interior! They also have some new technologies I haven't seen in my previous dental offices.

Fantastic experience: Finding a new dentist can be intimidating but here they make you feel you’ve always been going there. The Dr. is really kind and makes you super comfortable. The hygienist are both extremely kind like I haven’t experienced at any other dental office I’ve been to - I wanted to have Olivia again for my second visit because of how amazing she was but found having Brooke for the second visit that she was just as amazing. I can see why they have the ratings they do. Everyone is professional, kind and does a great job. Thank you!

Negative experience: So I heard great things about this place but only one out of 5 people that i interacted with were actually nice to me (the dental hygenist), most seemed like I was a bother just existing. They tried to have someone polish before scaling my teeth because they were short staffed I think was the reason and I asked for them to polish the inside of my teeth like I'm used to at other places after scaling but I guess asking things here doesn't go over well Oh and I asked a question about the gum measuring process and the doctor thought I was questioning her being good at her job (??) So I got a letter telling me not to come back. Maybe everyone was having a really bad day, but it definitely made me pretty uncomfortable and my day got a bit worse too Owell.....I tried it ‍♀️

Negative experience: Definitely get a second and third opinion before settling on a treatment plan. There are no regulations and many dentists will come up with problems to use as much of your insurance as possible. While my treatment seemed well and the staff was mostly friendly, I have doubts that my teeth had as many problems as they claimed. Not to mention they missed a very obvious cavity. Edit: A few months later, I now have several areas on my teeth that are extremely sensitive and may need fillings/work again even though the "issues" were supposed to be taken care of. Really disappointed with this place.
