From the second I walked through the door, the whole team was incredibly nice, professional, and welcoming. The great vibe starts right at the front desk with the receptionist and goes all the way through to the dental techs and Dr. H. They create such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. What I love most is how informative they are—they explain everything so clearly that you actually understand your care. If you have little or no dental insurance, this place is a total lifesaver. Negative experience: The absolute worst business I’ve ever been forced to deal with. They completely ignore you. I sat there for over an hour and 30 minutes without seeing a doctor, and not a single employee could care less. They were too busy on their phones, talking with their boyfriends and completely ignoring the patient. I would not send my enemy here.

I've been coming to Excel Dental for a few months now and Dr. Abougamra has gone above and beyond in both practical and aethetic care of my teeth and smile. As a child, my parents couldn't afford braces, and Dr. Abougamra noticed this. He took it upon himself not to mold my crowns by the computer generated specs, but to take the time to alter the shape and length to better fit, be in better alignment with my row of teeth, and produce a more proficient bite that doesn't counteract my bottom teeth. My uneven teeth had been causing a lot of destruction over the years. He's a perfectionist whom will spend as long as it takes for the outcome to be and look as envisioned, and just right - everything I never knew I desired in a dentist. Thank you Dr. Abougamra! Also, all of the staff here are absolutely the most friendly, with such a welcoming and comfortable environment.

I just had $2500 of dental work done and when I left they made me an appointment for a root canal 2 days later, they NEVER TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED OVER $550 TO GET THE ROOT CANAL! YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND MOST OF THEM! DO NOT HAVE ANY DENTAL WORK DONE AT EXCEL DENTAL! THEY ALREADY PREPPED MY FRONT TOOTH SO NOW I'M SCREWED!! #SHAMEONTHEM

Negative experience: Gave me a scare when I suddenly owed them a balance I was not aware of. I got a notification that I had an appointment that I did not make. I asked to be removed from automatic appointments and why I was charged. Their front desk is always friendly and helpful, but they couldn't say why I owed money but at least they removed the charge. I'm going to call them monthly for a while to make sure I don't get ghost charges that go to collections.

Fantastic experience: Very detailed and you can breathe to know they will take care of you no matter the situation with your whatever you need done regardless of that, very well done with my job and my teeth look great now very happy I've had to return and adjust a few times but that's about all the problems I've had were very minimal and they took care of me regardless and got me feeling comfortable within days of getting my new mouth replaced !

Negative experience: In a middle of procedure to get implants , service covered by my insurance, I was refused to have job finished, as I was said, they not longer accepting my Commonwealth Care Alliance. What I don't believe at all.

Negative experience: I originally had posted a really positive review a year ago, but their practice has gone extremely downhill in that time. - had my cleaning in spring and was told I needed such and such dental work completed. Dentist only documented half the work that needed to be completed. When I called to make an appointment, the office manager kept arguing with me that there was nothing noted about the work I was asking for. I had to go in for a second appointment so the same dentist could double check what he told me and correctly document it. He took a whole second set of x-rays when he took ones less than two months before to double check his own findings. - Received an appointment reminder text on 10/15/25 for a cleaning for 10/22/25 I never made an appointment for. I called the office and the woman who answered said the system automatically makes another appointment and we changed the appointment to 10/28/25 for 5 pm. Received an email reminder same day 10/15/25 confirming the appointment we just made. 10/21/25 I received a text appointment reminder in the morning confirming the agreed date and time. Receive an email reminder same day in the evening saying my appointment is at 2 pm, not 5 pm. I called the office to clarify and a man who identified himself as the office manager was unhelpful and condescending. He kept saying my appointment was never scheduled for 5 pm. We were talking in circles and I told him I can come in and show him the texts and emails. His response was he wasn’t saying that I was lying, but that I’m confused and the only one who has ever had a problem. At one point he said along the lines of, “I’m just trying to help you understand, my love”. I have no idea why this man would refer to me as that, but we all know he would never refer to a middle aged man as his love. Especially when they are frustrated with the practice’s poor record keeping. He eventually told me he had other things to do and didn’t have time for this when he had said he would give me the owner’s email so I could address my concerns with him. After going in more circles, he hung up after I told him to just cancel the appointment at the is point. I have attached screenshots of texts and emails with time stamps as proof. If these people will lie about appointment times, how can you trust them with your teeth? You can’t even trust them to keep proper documentation.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience. The y took the time to calm me down because I had a bad experience at another dentist. So I started to get scared and they were extremely helpful in calming me down to let me know they were here for to help me not shame me. She said hygienist have seen extreme case like people with missing teeth to even worse. Dentist was great talked to me not at me or down me which was great. He just pointed out what was wrong with my teeth. And we discussed best course of treatment. I had a Friday appointment finally got the nerve up to go had problems with my nurse not being scheduled for me told them all about it they said as long as I was there by 12:15 I was ok nurse finally showed just before I needed to leave. Go to there offfice and they had no power Jordy manager felt bad that there power went out while I was in route so he had no way of calling me so he called that afternoon and got me in that following Monday at 9:00. They were able to get me in the very next day to start working like said on treatment plan. Which I found to be awesome so I wouldn’t loose nerve to get done. So if your looking for a dentist office to go to go Execel Dental is the place to go because you don’t even know your at a dentist office. They don’t talk clinical at all they talk to you like a friend. Which i was surprised but I’ll tell it very very very extremely comfortable experience . Extremely recommend them highly.

Negative experience: First and last time going most definitely! They could not help me which my wisdom teeth which is understandable. What I’m really bothered by is the fact that they couldn’t tell me any over the counter medication that would be able to help with the nerve pain in the mean time. And they gave me a single place to call myself!!! The nurses I had are freshly out of school with little to no training and had to be walked thru the process and completely not understanding what the training tech was saying to the point I had to fit myself into the machine and adjust it! I get it was at 4pm the end of the day but the last appointment was 6pm do better!!!!

Negative experience: If I wanted to be seen an hour after my appointment, I would've made my appointment for an hour later... Like many 1 star reviews have mentioned, they double book appointments. I arrived to my appointment on time and was taken to the room at the appointment time along with another person. I sat there for nearly an hour before I was seen by the doctor, who had been seeing the other person. I basically sat through their entire appointment before I was seen for my 5 min routine cleaning appointment. Nobody apologized or offered an explanation for the delay. I find it very rude that they ask you to confirm the appointment via text and call numerous times, yet they can't bother to be on time for their clients. I chose this place out of convenience, and I have been here 3-4 times now, each time with significant delays. The experience has always been mediocre. I've definitely had better experiences elsewhere in terms of staff friendliness and professionalism. I do appreciate that you can chat with the office via text. Here's how you can do better: respect your clients' time.

Fantastic experience: Had a cracked tooth. Called them at 2pm on a Saturday, they stayed late for me to put on a crown. 5 star service in an emergency.

Wait over an hr and doctor is still with other patient, the doctor is not the one the appointment is scheduled with. Negative experience: They double or triple book the doctor, so they have patients waiting in the dentist chair for over an hour. They do not give you the courtesy of telling you so you can rebook. The staff is constantly yelling across the rooms. They don't update the patient or offer any reason as to the delay. They also almost over charged me by $400 on my copay, if i hadn't requested it be reviewed as I as told a different price i would've over paid. So disappointing and disrespectful.

Negative experience: I never write reviews but feel very strongly that people should avoid this place. My boyfriend and I both went in separately for cleanings months apart and instead of getting decent cleanings, received the same feedback on what's wrong with our teeth and the implication that we very likely would need thousands of dollars of work in the future. When I first went I thought I was overreacting. I have been to a reputable dentist consistently for many years and never heard any of the feedback they gave me here. Then a few months later my boyfriend went in and had a very similar experience. This staff team is really trying to push work above and beyond a cleaning that comes with a high price tag. I would avoid this place at all costs. I've also seen similar reviews below so it appears we aren't the only ones. The worst is that they didn't really clean my teeth. This place feels very dishonest and like it's trying to screw people out of money. Go somewhere else.

They took x-rays again And noticed that they could not extract my tooth today because I needed something done that my insurance did not cover very bad service and communication

Positive experience: The office is brand new, and the space itself looks very nice. However, I noticed that the front desk staff and dental hygienist could benefit from a more personal approach. A bit of eye contact and small talk would go a long way in making patients feel welcomed. Even the dentist didn’t seem to take the time to get to know me before the cleaning, which felt a bit rushed. I believe that taking the time to connect with patients could greatly enhance the overall experience. Additionally, while the cleaning was acceptable, there’s room for improvement. Investing in customer service training for all personnel might help create a more caring and welcoming environment.

Negative experience: First my appointment got canceled twice and my cavity is getting worse and hurting and I go to my appointment for a filling made me come early cause the Dr had surgery and can't work to long no issue on the phone they said about the insurance I told them I had new insurance I go there sit there and wait on the phone they said it was 35$ now 265 for the filling that i thought i was going forI guess that was cause the lady at the desk decided to take it on her own to switch what I was going there for my point is I had insurance on there past two canceled appointment which steched over months cause of the scheduling of the missed appointments

Negative experience: I would proceed here with caution. I went to get my wisdom teeth checked because they were aching, and they didn’t provide me with any real details to the problem. They basically told me that I need to get them removed and encouraged me to do it right then and there, without having time to think about it. I got a second opinion from my orthodontist and he showed me my xray, unlike them, he explained why I was feeling the pain I was, and why it has since died down. He noted that the removal of my wisdom teeth is not urgent, but I almost did! If I hadn’t gone to him, I wouldn’t have known. Overall the vibe was awkward, and I don’t discourage getting your wisdom teeth removed even if they aren’t hurting in the moment, but something about this place rubbed me the wrong way. The people are professional, and know how to get the job done, but I wouldn’t take advice from them. Go somewhere else first.

Positive experience: My appointment had to be rescheduled by office. Another new dentist although she was good Dr Wen I think. Gently cleaned my teeth.hope to see her in six months.I loved Dr Shavan but he's not with the practice anymore. Office staff pleasant.30 min wait I think due to rescheduling. Watched cartoons. Four star for rescheduling and has happened before. Stuff happens I understand.

Negative experience: Our son is 27,with limited funds R/T student loans, car payment, rent....ect. Went to Excel for a check up. He left there being told he needed 2 root canals $4000 and had 2 cavities that needed to be filled. We suggested a 2nd opinion. He went to a non corporate, private dentist. Not only did he not need the root canals. The private dentist couldn't even understand where they got the idea!!! Note!! Corporate dentistry is a like a factory. They will say anything to make a buck. Be careful. They have no conscious. They were willing to ruin two healthy teeth for no reason but greed. My advice......RUN. PS Google this is an honest and true review. We have the paperwork to prove it.

Negative experience: I received the worst services. I arrived to my appointments on time and when i got there they rescheduled it b/c they did not have my insurance information. I provided the insurance information and they still would not see me. I took off work to attend and they still did not consider seeing me. Unacceptable. I asked for all my children’s future appts to be cancelled due to the inconveniences and she did not hesitate to cancel the appointments and did not try to keep me or my children as Patients. Unacceptable.

I don’t mind a courtesy call but when I’m getting three calls to four calls a day to verify all these different appointments that I already have a card for and on top of that I can get texts. It’s pretty much annoying, they’re not convenient no weekend appointments so I left and I am no longer there Patient.
