Fantastic experience: Looking for the best dental office in Lake County? Well here it is. And the best doctor is Dr. Patel. SHE IS AMAZING. The ladies at the front desk are also the best. If you need anything handled, be sure to speak with Leah. She can do anything!

Negative experience: Went in for a free eval. Doctor was in the office for maybe 2 min then told me to go someplace else. The doctor was nice about it and told the front desk that there would be no charge. Now I am getting a bill and they are charging my Insurance company. Call them and the girls said that's how it goes everyone gets charge something. I will be disputing the claim with my insurance today.

Especially with the lack of friendliness, integrity, and a poorly fitted crown placed by my previous dentist in Island Lake. But today I have a new attitude finding new dental help with Lakemoor Dental. I've lost my uncomfortable fear for a more comfortable experience of a team whose work is interwoven with expertise, professionalism, care and kindness, with a warm relational demeanor that causes you to feel like family. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Shivam Patel and his assistants, Dr. Sanders and his assistants, and Leah at the front desk have all helped me immensely. They are all caring and devoted in their field. Leah has been very diligent in making sure my appointments would work with my schedule and helping me with many insurance issues. She is the best!!! Fantastic experience: I have been going to Lakemoor dental and Dr. Patel since I was very young and the Lakemoor office is fantastic, the front desk is helpful and friendly, the facility is clean and inviting. I’ve been to the McHenry location as well, Dr. Frank and Haley at the front desk are the best around!

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled 6 months in advance and showed up 15 minutes early, only to be told my appointment had been canceled because I “didn’t confirm” via text. I never received a call letting me know it would be canceled. After checking my voicemail later, I did find a message from the day before asking if I could come in earlier at 1 PM, but there was no mention that my original appointment would be canceled if I didn’t respond. Previously, I’ve received email confirmations from them without issue, but apparently if you don’t magically know to check a “spam text folder,” your appointment is disregarded and canceled. I didn’t even know text spam was a thing, and to be dismissed over that feels unprofessional and careless. This isn’t the first disappointing experience I’ve had at this location. While the dental hygienists are kind and thorough with cleanings, both times I’ve come here for fillings were the worst dental experiences I’ve ever had. The first dentist was so aggressive with the injections that my jaw was bruised for over a week. The second dentist I tried couldn’t get me numb, kept drilling on and off to “test” if I could feel it (which was incredibly painful), and ultimately had to leave me with a temporary filling that fell out within days. I was finally referred to the McHenry location, where the dentist was patient, compassionate, and had no issues numbing the area or completing the procedure, completely opposite of my experience at the Lakemoor office. To make matters worse, the front desk staff today was the most dismissive and unkind I’ve encountered. Usually, staff here have been friendly and polite, but this time I was met with zero empathy, no solutions, and no willingness to accommodate scheduling needs, even after I explained why I’d booked an evening appointment 6 months ahead. I wasn’t even offered to be put on a cancellation list or called if a slot opened up. For a dental office, where many patients already arrive with anxiety, this lack of professionalism and care is unacceptable. At this point, I cannot recommend the Lakemoor location. If you go, be prepared for poor communication, dismissive front desk service, and highly inconsistent dental care.

Negative experience: CURRENT PATIENTS: CHECK YOUR BILLS!!! This place is a SCAM! I had gone back in because they did not line up my filing right and I was in pain. Their mistake to fix. They said my insurance should cover it. It was $30 and some change. I thought, no big deal! That was back in January. Apparently, insurance didn't get back to them to say I was maxed out until September. They considered that to now be 90 days late. No notice. VERY POOR COMMUNICATION. No one notified me and now my $30 bill is over $130!! I offered to pay the original fee explaining that I didn't see it fair since I was never notified to make payment within the 30 days. They refused and sent me to a creditor! RIDICULOUS! This company should be ashamed for stealing people's hard-earned money! Who knows how many more families they have done this to! DEFINITELY STAY AWAY! There are plenty of other dentist offices that are not criminals like this place. Receipts attached showing how they stated insurance didn't get back to them until September and then the statement of a $99 fee starting in September. UPDATE: To your ridiculous response, the proof is in the pudding darling. I offered to pay what I truly owe and you declined. To clarify, I am not blaming your employees, but how your payment policies are handled so all 7 locations should be liable. But yes, God bless you and your entirely family! :)

They are also wonderful with kids! My 10 year old son feels very comfortable there, as well as my 6 year old daughter. Fantastic experience: I started coming to Lakemoor Dental years ago but due to moving I stopped. Although I had found another office, I did not feel as comfortable as I had with Dr. Patel. I eventually found my mouth health deteriorating and it needed immediate attention. I made the decision to return to Lakemoor Dental and it has been AMAZING! Although Dr. Patel isnt in the office as often as she was, Dr Meta is just as wonderful! I've found her very caring and gentle. And t rest of he staff is ALWAYS welcoming and make me feel relaxed - I have high anxiety so this is VERY comforting for me. Missy, Mabel and Maryfer go above and beyond from scheduling appointments to working with insurance. I just cannot say enough about them all! ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Myself and my kiddo have bad anxiety about going to the dentist so when we had to switch from our former dentist we were pretty nervous. We were referred to lakemoor dental and decided to give them a try. My kiddo had her appointment with Dr Patel first and said she liked her immediately and wasnt scared at all!! My appointment was next and after meeting Dr Patel i was put at ease and felt very comfortable. She listens and makes you feel safe and taken care of. The rest of the staff was so sweet, kind, and attentive. They all work well together and it creates a pleasant environment. They made sure all our needs were met and we felt very welcomed! My only regret is that we did not come here sooner!
