Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience! Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. My hygienist, Viola, was extremely thorough during my deep cleaning, making sure every tooth was cleaned carefully because of my swollen gums. She took the time to explain my X-rays, what was causing the sensitivity in my gums, and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. After the deep cleaning, I noticed a huge improvement. My gum sensitivity went away, and my gums are bleeding much less than they were before. It’s made a noticeable difference in such a short time. I also want to give a huge thank you to Casey and Miranda for helping watch my daughter while I was having my teeth cleaned. That extra kindness made my appointment so much less stressful and truly showed how much they care about their patients. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and attentive dental team!

Fantastic experience: Stop searching — this is the place. If you’re someone who panics at the dentist, you need to visit Dr. Obaidi. What I loved the most was that they actually let me decide the step‑by‑step of my treatment. It sounds obvious, but if you’ve visited other clinics in the area, you know it’s not. Here, they listen, they explain, and they respect your choices. All the girls who work there absolutely rock. Lily, Cintia — and I don’t remember everyone’s name — but every single one of them was amazing. They even let me squeeze their arm when I got scared. And of course… Dr. Obaidi. There aren’t enough words. He constantly checks if you’re okay, makes sure nothing hurts, and apologizes if he thinks he caused even the slightest discomfort. Trust me — I had several surgeries and procedures with him. Five stars only because I can’t give them 10. Thank you to the whole team.

Dr. Shanshal was my dentist and did a tremendous job on my teeth. I felt very taking care of. All the staff that worked with me starting from the front desk to the dental assistant all are beyond delightful, the level of knowledge and expertise was impressive, and somehow by the end I looked forward to coming back to the chair for more dental work. Fantastic experience: Went in incredibly nervous for a new dentist. No wait in the waiting room. No waits when I call. No waits in the room. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was treated with kindness and understanding. I didn’t feel shamed for having bad teeth. My comfort was important to them. And they talked to me about my own oral health instead of going in another room which I appreciated. My teeth feel clean and I left with very affordable future plans for my chompers. Highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: Due to childhood dental trauma, I have pretty severe anxiety before dental appointments. Being greeted right away by a smiling, welcoming face really helps ease those worries, and the front desk staff were wonderful. They took the time to go over my insurance coverage and in-network participation, which I appreciated. The hygienist who took my X-rays and did my cleaning was incredibly kind and patient. Unfortunately my anxiety made me completely blank on names today, but I plan to update this review because every single one of the girls there deserves recognition. After my cleaning, Dr. Mufti came in and carefully reviewed every X-ray and intraoral image with me. He explained what everything meant, what should be monitored, and what should be addressed sooner rather than later. We discussed a few treatment options and I felt very comfortable asking questions. I’m also a dental office manager with 13 years of experience, so I’ve seen a lot in this field. I can usually tell when a doctor is being straightforward versus when unnecessary treatment is being recommended. I genuinely felt that Dr. Mufti was honest, transparent, and focused on what truly needed attention. They’ve been wonderful with my husband and kids as well, and I’m really grateful to have found this office. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the McHenry area.

Fantastic experience: Was (am) having SEVERE pain due to an abscess under one of my crowns from 5 years ago. The nurse and reception staff were beyond warm & welcoming, and the nurse was VERY gentle with me whilst taking x-rays. Thr initial exam was a completely reasonable price, cheap even, and I don't have dental insurance yet. Dr. Obaidi was super empathetic & talked to me about my options for treatment (which dentists dont always do WITH you), making a plan together. I'm genuinely very glad he's going to be my new dentist, as he puts me at ease after having been traumatized by *past* dental experiences. I am both very appreciative as well as looking forward to getting my teeth fixed with him! It's very rare when a denist can put you at ease! Eventually I'll need an entire set of top veneers; I've known that for a while. I'm really glad i found OMS to do this with :)

Positive experience: Valued the work and suggestions of Dr. Obaidi. He and his staff were excellent. I was referred to their office by VA when my usual dentist wasn’t available. I’m a fully disabled veteran. My problem was no parking spots available for me within at least 1 1/2 blocks and with no handicap spots. This was a terrible hike for me. Glad at least I found that one spot after driving around blocks. Busy area. But now I know.

Fantastic experience: My dentist retired the end of July and I had an infected tooth. I was a new patient and Dr. AL-Mufti made time for me to pull the tooth out instead of having me set up another appointment. He was very kind and explained everything to me.

Fantastic experience: Initial appt went very well. Everyone is very nice & the x-rays were painless which doesn't usually happen for me. The Dr. said that the cavity my last dentist told me I have doesn't exist, but he found a cavity elsewhere which will be resolved soon. Quick appointment availability is a bonus too. First time I left a dentist's office happy and laughing.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental issue and had to find a more specialized dentist than my regular dentist. I called a numver of places and the wait time was a week at minimum. I called OMS and was offered an appointment the next day. The appointment was made and I was hopeful. When I met with Dr O he explained that he did not think a root canal was necessary. He suggested a deep cleaning of gum area around tooth. He proceded to do cleaning and things have worked out extremely well so far. I am forever grateful for Dr O. and his insight / knowledge. Fantastic experience: First came to OMS a couple years ago when I cracked a tooth, didn't want to go to my regular dentist, and Dr. Obaidi saw me in the next day! For my first crown and general fear of the dentist the experience couldn't have been better, he re-assured me and was kind and gentle. Tiffany has been my regular hygienist and does a great job, I appreciate the steady hand to avoid those recession areas :) The entire staff is pleasant and welcoming, I cannot say enough good about OMS and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I came here because my previous dentist had told me I needed like 5 cavities filled. After coming to OMS dental I was told I really only needed 2 filled. I was able to get those two cavities filled, got X-rays done, and got a cleaning done. They were all super helpful with my questions and concerns. Also helps that everyone there is truly sweet and nice.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown fall off and was quoted $2700 for a replacement from a different local dentist.... without any other options. I called OMS, and they were SO NICE straight from the get-go! The receptionist (Heavenly- that's her name) was super sweet and accommodating (a very good trait throughout the office) with scheduling, then the dental assistant and dentist both listened to my issue, checked out my mouth and simply cemented the crown back on.. Bing Bang Boom $200. I'm SUPER happy with this office and the people. I will highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and I was in incredible pain, I had been given the run around by three other offices before finding OMS, and I’m so happy I did. The office is spotless, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The dentist was amazing! He explained everything to me, gave me all of my options and put me at ease unlike so many of the other dentists I’ve encountered. My tooth was quite difficult to extract but he did it without causing me pain or stress. His assistant was just as incredible as he was. She made conversation with me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I can’t thank them enough for giving me the care I needed while being extraordinarily humans instead of emotionless, desensitized robots. I recommend OMS to anyone who wants a fantastic, smooth dental office experience with staff who genuinely care.

They worked with me to get everything done right, and on my schedule (as best as it could be accommodated). They worked with me to get the most of my insurance benefits and to get the best prices on the rest. I will definitely be back, if I need more work done.

The young lady ( Lily ) that did my X-Rays was also very friendly and polite. Dr Mufti did a thorough examination and we decided that putting a crown on a tooth that I fractured was my best option. Fantastic experience: OMS Dental is filled with caring staff. I never had this experience at any medical facility. Yesterday I got three inplants and today I have zero pain and the procedure was less than two hours. ( Follow up six months later .I love my teeth I am so happy .I made the decision to go to OMS. My gums are so healthy. I remember telling my dentist in September. I ate corn on the cob and did five rows . :) )

Fantastic experience: I moved from Chicago to Wonder Lake a couple of years ago and I have been searching for a trustworthy dentist, which has not been easy - I am grateful for the reviews and rely on them. I can't tell you how many bad dentist I have come across, plus I recall hearing on the news about unlicensed dentist - things are getting so bad out there it's extremely important now more than ever to do our research. My review won't do OMS Dental justice - but I'll do my best; everyone I spoke with were absolutely kind, knowledgeable and professional; Tiffany the hygienists is unbelievably superior to any hygienist I have ever met and I am in my sixties; Tiffany was gentle, knowledgeable and amazing, she took her time addressing all of my concerns. Dr. Mufti, was also gentle, kind and extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy - needless to say I can now rest knowing I am receiving the best care possible from a superior and trustworthy Dentist and Hygienist.
