Negative experience: I went in to just have a cap replaced .spent a hr and half going thru xrays and scanning etc. Then saw the dentist .she then told me I needed to go to oral surgeon then have deep cleaning .then wait 3 days to have the cap that I had with me which was in great condition then she would put it on then.i ask why 3 days why not now ?? She said I have other patients waiting. I think Aspen does not respect what the customer wants done only what they think you should have done. Not saying that I don't believe their findings are correct. The patient should still have done what they came in for. I highly recommend don't got to Aspen if you can help it. Its a hook to get you coming back . You have no option on xrays or anything else.

Fantastic experience: I used to be a dental assistant 100 years ago. Dr. KIM , at the Woodstock office is by far the best dentist that I have experienced throughout my life!!! I recently had a tooth pulled from the upper side of my mouth. I was scared to death to have this tooth pulled because, like I said, I was a dental assistant and I have seen the pain that the patients go through just from the injections to numb up the area to be worked on. The upper pallet of the mouth is so sensitive to the injections and I did not feel anything that the injections would cause. Dr. Kim is , by far, the best at her art of Denistry. I will not go anywhere else. I'm terrified of the pain that the injections I went through before I went to Aspen in Woodstock and found Dr. KIM. SHE IS SO INTENSE IN FINDING THE ROOT OF YOUR PROBLEM AND SHE IS SO UNSELFISH AND TELLS ME EXACTLY WHAT IS BEST FOR ME AND IF MY GOALS FOR A BETTER SMILE ARE REALISTIC. IF NOT, SHE GIVES ME SUGGESTIONS DIRECTLY FROM HER HEART & I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH HER SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT I'M TRYING TO OBTAIN... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER FOR ANY DENTAL CARE!!!! SHE IS PAINLESS & HONEST. SHE'S THE ANSWER TO ANYONE WHO HATES TO GO TO THE DENTIST!!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic team. Very professional and prompt.

Positive experience: My appointment with another dentist was canceled with out my knowledge. I have to take antibiotics 5 days before a dental appointment, so this caused a problem. Aspen Dental stepped in and helped me out very promptly. So they did the initial exam and X-rays followed up by the cleaning I had been scheduled for with prior dentist. And they were all very helpful and professional. Now in 2026: things have changed. I was asked to review a dentist that I had not seen. The hygienist tried but his English was lacking. So when I asked a question about the cleaning his answer was to wait till the dentist did her exam. Then he never finished the cleaning as I had asked. Communicating with him was too hard. I did feel he did a competent job but I don't think he finished it. The office staff is stellar and Dr Kim is great, but I don't think I will go back there again, as I have moved and it is a longer drive, which I chose to do when I was happy there.

We went to Aspen Dental in Woodstock, IL as a new patient to see if there was something they could do for her. They are amazing. My partial required several fittings because the shape of my gums and sensitivity but they never wavered and very kindly kept working with me until it was perfect. Fantastic experience: As somebody with a lot of dental anxiety, the team at Aspen Dental Woodstock made me feel right at home and comfortable. When I walked in for my appointment, I was met with big smiles from the front staff. Pam and Michelle wasted no time getting me checked in. From there, the Assistant Nayeli took my X-rays, which were some of the fastest and most comfortable X-rays I have ever had! Sarai the hygienist and Dr. Kim were so gentle during their portions of the exam and took the time to answer all of my questions. Dr. Kim then introduced me to the sweetest person I have ever met, Kkatanya the office manager. She worked with me on finances and was able to break down my treatment plan in an easy to understand fashion. Scheduling was a breeze and I look forward to coming back for my cleaning! If I could give 10 stars, I would! Will be recommending this office to my friends and family.

Negative experience: I am absolutely in shock that I’m still trying to process what happened to my husband when he went there seeking help for extreme dental pain. Basically they would not give him an anabiotic until he agreed to a $7000 procedure. I cannot even believe morally that this place or anybody would do something like that I think the dental association board needs to be contacted because I cannot even phantom somebody especially a company that’s supposed to help people. I hate to say this, but clearly they just care about the money they don’t care about their patients. I’m just still in shock over everything we got a phone call this morning from them stating that there was a misunderstanding, but there was not a misunderstanding clearly they were holding a prescription hostage for ransom money for $7000 for a procedure. Stay away from this place thankfully we found a dentist immediately that was able to get him in because the infection was so severe and his whole face was swollen. They gave him an anabiotic and we are going there today and they’re going to look at it and go from there yes I know my husband needs work on his teeth. That is something that we are going to be working on and we might’ve considered it there at Aspen had this not have happened the way it happened and I made it very clear to the manager on the phone that if something was to happen to my husband, I would be holding them liable. You don’t send somebody out and die hard pain and clearly know that they have an infection and don’t give him an anabiotic until you get them to sign a $7000 dental agreements like I can’t even understand how something like this could happen and how this place can remain in business. this is absolutely devastating and heartbreaking.

Fantastic experience: I was unhappy with my prior dentist office and knew I wasn’t being treated with my teeth healths future in mind. So, I was referred to this office. Best decision I’ve ever made!!!! My experience was amazing. The office was beautiful, welcoming, the staff are incredible!! Dr Kim is so thoughtful, professional and very caring. She made me feel at ease each step of the way. Miranda was so kind and nice and Sarai is so amazing. She was detailed about each step, reassuring, gentle and made me feel comfortable in a dentist chair, that says something! Then after it all Pam helped me with my financial paperwork and she couldn’t have been more helpful and so sweet. They worked easily with me setting up my treatment, scheduling was a breeze and I’ve never been happier. The care is outstanding!! The assistant Nayeli made me feel comfortable during X-rays and Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable and explained my treatment thoroughly .

Fantastic experience: My experience was great. I went in to establish care and get a checkup to make sure I had no issues since I was experiencing some sensitivity on one of my front teeth. Scheduling the appointment was very quick and easy online. Pam called the next day to confirm insurance details and make sure I knew what to expect when I got to the office- she was very nice and pleasant- she was also the one who went over the treatment plan and pricing with me after the appointment, she made it all make sense. When I went in for the appointment, Michelle checked me in and she was so welcoming and quick with the process. Miranda took my X-rays and she really tried to make it as painless as possible by trying to get around my tori. Nayeli was my husband’s DA and he was also very satisfied with her work and knowledge. lastly, doctor Kim and Sarai’s exams were also very thorough and answered my questions. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a dental office that they can trust to have their best interests.

Fantastic experience: My visit to Aspen Dental was exceptional from when I made my first appointment to when l walked out of the door. Making the appointment was quick and the person who answered was friendly and helpful. When I arrived at the Woodstock office I was greeted as soon as entered. Registration was easy and the wait time very short. A series of comprehensive X-rays were taken, which was a first for me. I’ve had X-rays previously but never this comprehensive. Very impressive. After this I met with Sarai who did a 3-D scan of my teeth. She informed me of the results and recommended the cleaning treatment I should have. Later that day she did the cleaning later in the day as they had an opening. What a kind and professional person she was. Due to the procedure I needed Novocain and could barely feel the shot given. Every office needs someone like Sarai! On to Dr. Kim. I can’t say enough about her, the depth of her knowledge, and her explaining it so I knew exactly what my options were and the results of each one. She also listened to my concerns and took that into consideration. Her assistant, Miranda, was right on target with everything. They worked together with the tooth extraction (painless, I must say), like a well-oiled machine. Exceptional! Of course there comes a time to pay and discuss insurance. Michelle was beyond pleasant and understood where I was coming from. All options were provided prior to any work being done. She took time to explain my options, ran the numbers to show me the cost of the different options, and there was absolutely no pressure to choose one over the other. This entire office is there to serve their patients and make sure you are happy when you walk out. I for one will definitely continue with my dental work being provided by Aspen Dental in Woodstock.

Fantastic experience: Dental Hygeinist Sarai performed best cleaning I have ever experiences, and I am almost 70 yrs. old so that is compared to a whole lot of teeth cleanings. She was very thorough, using numerous instruments to get to every hard to reach place. And the staff are super friendly. Glad I found Aspen Dental in Woodstock, IL.

Positive experience: Aspen dental is very strict on their policies. I made an appointment online and on the day of my appointment I received a phone call from them to go over the visit. They explained how they intend for the visit to go and I had mentioned that I cant do bite wing x-rays because of a severe gag reflex. I was told that it was not optional. I canceled my appointment because of this. They never offered a panoramic x-ray option either. So if you have a bad gag reflex, you might want to look elsewhere. I've rated them a 3 strictly based on my interaction with them via the phone. The person I spoke with was very polite, friendly, and let me know everything upfront so there wouldn't be any surprises. *I only needed a cleaning, and for a little smoothing on a tooth that is a bit rough on the edge.

Positive experience: Great people work here, friendly atmosphere. They are also very good at what they do. I left off the 5th start as I get frustratede at them questioning my decisions when that decision is not what they want to hear. They want to pull a tooth that is not infected or caqusing me any discomfort at all. But because the crown broke off the top, they want to extract it. I accepted their concern, originally, but now after 3 or four visits and they keep harping on it, Give it a rest. They also decided today to take pictures of my mouth due to another anomaly that I have had for probably 20 years, so they could verify any changes in the future. I came in to get my teeth cleaned!

Fantastic experience: After having years of issues with my teeth, I ended up with a massive infection, and in a state of desperation reached out to Aspen to ask for help. Having a long history of bad experiences with other practices I was hesitant to trust the professionals there. I was pleasantly surprised to find out everyone was truly WONDERFUL. The team was professional, did not make me feel bad about my teeth, explained everything and answered every question. Dr. Kim was SO patient, very thorough, and clearly skilled at what she does. The dental assistants were incredible, and Miranda is a hoot! They made it easy to feel like I was visiting a friend, and not a dentist. Another cause of my avoidance was, let's be honest, money. The office manager Shannon sat me down, and talked with me, and within 5 minutes the pit of despair that had been brewing inside of me about the payment portion was GONE. She is the sweetest, kindest, person and made my new smile not just a possibility but a reality. I am so glad that I found Aspen in Woodstock and their amazing team. I genuinely have a new lease on life, and I have to admit, eating crunchy foods I couldn't have in the past is pretty dang cool. Highly, highly recommend!

I don't like going to the dentist like most people, the staff made it easy and they were continous to the fact when I was uncomfortable and gave me a break. Negative experience: Never in my life have I spent so much many on a dental visit.Aspen kept doing procedures that they claimed I “needed”. When I would ask how much my appointment would be, they would just wave me off and say nothing today! This went on and on for a while until every other month I’d get a bill for 335.00 each time. My insurance only covered part of the procedures because they said I didn’t need it and it wasn’t necessary based off the x rays. SCAM. Please do not use them. Something very shady is going on in that place and I can’t wait until it all comes to light. -The ladies at the front desk were very kind, everyone there seemed kind but the practice at this place is all wrong and people need to know.

Fantastic experience: I have not been to the dentist in 14 years due to a very horrible dental experience from when I was a kid. The dentist scared me. But when I got a toothache from hades I had to go back. I heard good things about aspen so I contacted them. The initial call was ok, they got me book immediately for a dental emergency and they were super nice on the phone. After that a very nice woman named Shannon (I hope I spelled that right) called me back to confirm and get more information. She is why I feel so much better about going to the dentist. She reassured me of all the things that scared me. She listened to my money concerns and eased them. She asked questions, listened when answered and showed genuine concern for my fears and well being. The people who actually worked on my teeth were as gentle and as kind as she promised and I will be going back for the extractions that I need and all my dental work from this point forward. Thank you Shannon for all of the kindness you showed. I hope you read this.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. Have a strong paranoia and fear of dentists. They took their time offered breaks when it got to much for me. Never felt like I was a burden to be there and worked with me to make sure I was comfortable. Can't recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a checkup at Aspen Dental, and the experience was positive. The staff at the office demonstrated professionalism and were accommodating, ensuring that I felt supported throughout the visit. They took the time to thoroughly explain the recommended treatment options and outlined all available financial plans. Overall, I left feeling very satisfied with the service provided.

Negative experience: A complete scam. Called them because they were in network for a broken tooth. I was told they would check it and i would be given a tx plan. Well they took about 13 xrays if all my teeth not just the broken one despite my reminding them why I was there. To make a long excruciating story short...I was eventually led to a cubicle where an upside piece of paper was slid across the desk like i was buying a car. The total was 20k for my TX plan. I asked for itemization. Didnt get one. Only a few items written in pen. And yes thats 20k with insurance. When i refused it and asked about the broken tooth again..another upside down number. This time 11k but with a discount pamphlet. I turned that down as well. Not to worry...they offered to pull my credit 6 times to see if I could finance. Let's not forget the down payment i would need before treatment. That doesn't happen for a major surgery much less the dentist. An absolute insurance gouger and scam organization.
