Fantastic experience: They have always taken good care of me and my teeth. I like the helpful staff who point how how I can keep my teeth better. They take the time to show any issues and then what you can do to make improvements in the future.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr. Meng’s practice for more than five years, and I’ve consistently been very happy with the care and service I’ve received. Over the years, I’ve had everything from routine cleanings and fillings to retainers and dental implants. Dr. Meng and his entire staff are caring, responsive, down-to-earth, and always take the time to clearly explain what needs to be done and why. I also really appreciate that their recommendations are focused on what is best for your dental health, not on making money. They thoughtfully balance what is truly needed, what can safely be postponed, and what may not be necessary, while also taking your insurance coverage into consideration. What truly sets them apart is their level of availability and commitment to their patients. Even when I’ve had issues over a weekend, Dr. Meng has personally texted me, answered my questions, and sent prescriptions to CVS after hours. That kind of care goes above and beyond. They are fantastic to work with, and I highly recommend Dr. Meng and his team.

He and his staff did an excellent job with my smile! Given how impressed I was with their care, I decided to bring my mom in, who is very sensitive given a number of medical issues she has, to get her routine dental work and dentures done. Negative experience: I had one of the worst experiences with this practice that anyone could have hoped for. I had been going to them regularly, getting a checkup every 6 months. They found a cavity in a tooth and did a filling on it. This filling ended up being poorly and incompletely performed, and the tooth got intensely infected after this filling had been done. Additionally, they will upsell you on additional fillings not planned for while your mouth is open, while you are numb in their chair, without walking through your treatment. When I went back in to ask what might be happening with the tooth/infection (it was very swollen), they told me it was because I might be grinding my teeth, and sold me an expensive night guard, without identifying the issue at all. Obviously, the infection did not improve, and I had to go to the ER in order to understand what was truly happening. After this, I went back to them, telling them the information from my ER visit, and they referred me to an endodontist. Because of the negligence and inability to diagnose that it was an infection caused by their failed cavity filling, the root of the tooth was too badly infected to save the tooth. They did not hesitate to upsell me at each step, and their negligence caused me to lose a tooth, even while visiting their practice every 6 months, and trusting them with my dental concerns. Lastly, they will treat customers significantly differently based on what dental insurance you have, and max out your insurance, even if it means drilling into teeth that don't need treatment. I would strongly suggest you visit another practice with more honest, trustworthy professionals.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here for several years and they have always done an amazing job. Very pleasant to deal with from a business standpoint, forthcoming on costs and insurance impact. Extremely pleasant to work with from a patient perspective. Easy to get an appointment, very thorough on xrays, exams and cleaning, very responsive to special needs (e.g. I had them fix the gap between my two front teeth and it has held up well after several years). The doctor and staff are highly capable. I always come away with the latest recommendations, such as looking at Reach dental floss (no compensation to practice, they just like it better), and a recommendation to use gauze or a swab to clean in the upper back of my cheeks where a toothbrush won't fit. They even took the time to clean the backs of my rear molars, a difficult spot for me to brush. The doctor is always very positive, thorough and pleasant. I highly recommend Sunnyvale Dental Aesthetics if you are looking for a great dental practice! 2026 update: the amazing service continues, with a very thorough cleaning followed by helpful guidance for ongoing care at home. Both the cleaning and filling were completed in a single visit. Dr. Meng was professional, efficient, and made the entire process pain-free. He carefully reviewed my son’s X-rays, treated the cavity, and emphasized proper flossing to address the root cause. We truly appreciate his integrity and patient-focused care - he is committed to preventing future issues, not just treating the immediate problem. My root canal dentist recommended me Dr. Meng to do a filling for my son's cavity. The procedure went smoothly and painlessly and the filling looks exactly like how the tooth used to look. We couldn't tell which tooth had the cavity after the procedure. Would highly recommend Dr. Meng.

Booking an appointment was super easy, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean the office is (they even have complimentary drinks and snacks, which was a first for me!). Both my dentist and dental hygienist were extremely friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: Dr. David Meng is the best dentist. My front right tooth stuck out. Dr. Meng repaired it. Now I can have a very big happy smile all of the time. My left bottom tooth was missing and that bothered me. Dr. Meng implanted a new tooth for me. I really love it. Dr. Meng is loving, tender, and caring. The whole office provides a happy warm feeling. The office has modern high technology equipment in excellent condition. Every visit is a very happy pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: They are the BEST . I got in about 15 minutes early and noticed the complimentary snacks and coffee in the waiting area. My appointment was at 10am on Friday. They were right on time, not even a minute late. The cleaning and X rays were done professionally and accurately. The Doctor also provided a thorough consultation and ensured all questions and concerns were addressed. The cleaning was painless and efficient. I was asked numerous times if I was comfortable. The exam room and waiting area was spotless. I usually notice filthy air vents at other offices, but not this one. Dirt and dust was NOT present on any of the equipment or fixtures. The restroom was also very clean. I'll be back for sure. This office is Highly recommend.

Negative experience: This cleaning happened several years ago, but the injury I suffered was permanent and very distressing. I have carried this frustration for years. When I recently posted an honest review and the clinic responded by suggesting I had “misunderstood” the situation, I felt compelled to set the record straight and warn other patients. During that cleaning, the hygienist performed polishing with abrasive paste but did not rinse my mouth at all afterward. Then, without rinsing and while my mouth was still full of abrasive particles, the hygienist immediately began flossing my teeth very aggressively. As a result of this improper procedure, my gum tissue was physically cut, and I experienced heavy bleeding during the cleaning. Parts of my gum tissue were clearly damaged — this is not a normal side effect of dental cleaning. I had received multiple cleanings at this office prior to this incident, and none of them resulted in any injury or excessive bleeding. The fact that this happened only during this particular visit clearly shows that the technique used at that time was unsafe and inappropriate. After the injury, severe black triangles suddenly appeared between my teeth. I fully understand that bone loss can contribute to black triangles, but in my case, my bone loss was not significant, and the black triangles only appeared after the gum trauma caused by this improper cleaning procedure. Had this gum injury not occurred, I would not have experienced such a dramatic change in appearance. I also want to state very clearly that I did not misunderstand what happened. I know exactly what caused the injury — I felt it as it was happening. It is extremely disappointing that instead of taking accountability for the improper technique used during that cleaning, the clinic has suggested that I simply “misunderstood” the situation. I believe patients deserve to be treated with proper care and safe techniques. Unfortunately, my experience at this clinic caused me permanent harm, and I hope that by sharing this, I can help protect other patients.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Dr. Meng! He is truly brilliant! The veneers he created transformed my smile and they were exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire process, he was incredibly patient and kind, making sure that I loved the shape, size, and color. Positive experience: I decided to switch to this dental office since it was closer to my home, but I deeply regret giving them a try. I had a filling done here, and within a week, I was waking up in the middle of the night from severe pain. When I went back for a check-up, they took another X-ray and told me I needed to see a different dentist because they couldn’t figure out the issue. I followed their recommendation and went to the other office—only to have the same tests done and be charged again for absolutely nothing! They didn’t provide any new insight or actually fix the problem. I was basically sent on a wild goose chase just to spend more money. This place is money-hungry and completely unhelpful. Fantastic experience: I initially came to Sunnyvale Dental Aesthetics because a friend of mine recommended me this place. I am their client now, and not thinking to go somewhere else. Every service they provide is done with amazing professionalism. The place is extremely clean, I never had to wait for my turn, I was booked all the time to meet my needs. Dr. Meng and his colleagues are extremely nice, talking to all patients, and making everyone to feel comfortable. I always know what services I am going to have and how much I have to pay. Everything is extremely transparent and I love that. Maria and her colleagues, in charge of booking everything, is amazing and extremely professional. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr David Meng for over 5 years. Not only is this the best dental practice that I've ever gone to but they go above and beyond for everything. The place is immaculately clean, my appointments are always on time, and everyone seems to be the best at what they do. I love my hygienist, I have really sensitive teeth and she does a manual cleaning for me. I've done zoom bleaching here with great success and then I eventually got veneers. Dr. Meng has never tried to upsell me and is always conservative with his approach. This is probably the best dental office in Northern California and I would highly recommend you go here.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Meng's for two years now. Historically I have feared dental visits due to pain and sensitivity during the ultrasonic cleanings. I voiced this concern at Sunnyvale Dental Aesthetics and was given extra, more gentle care. The hygienist, Michael, took extra time to alternate between ultrasonics and hand instruments to ensure I didn't experience any pain. I really value and appreciate the extra care provided to me.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience at this office. I give it a 10/10!! You walk into a beautiful waiting room, clean, smells good and comfy seats. The receptionist was friendly, funny and welcoming. After being seated, I was waited in, no wait, very promptly. The hygienist were so sweet, informing, professional. My dentist was amazing. I always look forward to coming to the dentist now. I appreciate them squeezing me in last minute to get in office whitening after my cleaning. My teeth were a little sensitive after the whitening treatment but it was so worth it. My teeth look AMAZING!!!! Thank you for everything SDA ;)

Fantastic experience: Well, what can I say when I walk in? They know me by my first name. They're always offering me water and coffee. Everyone in the office treats me very well. It's a very homey feeling and I love this place. I appreciate the whole staff for always making me laugh and making me feel comfortable(coming from a very nervous person) This is the only office I recommend to others and wish I could give them 10 stars instead of 5!! Negative experience: I’ve been going there for two years for dental cleanings but won’t be returning due to their non-transparency about insurance. The service itself is fine. Starting last year, they informed me of a payment procedure change where I would need to pay upfront and get reimbursed by my insurance, which I did—this also applied to the 4 night guards they recommended. However, when I scheduled my second cleaning this year, they told me my insurance had already maxed out because of the night guards, and I would need to pay out of pocket at a 'discounted' price of $350. This was totally misleading! It turns out they are now out-of-network for my insurance, and I could have gotten free cleanings from an in-network provider. This is just a dishonest way to do business.

Fantastic experience: I can always count on Dr. Meng and the entire team to take care all of our dental needs! With 8 kids we forget but the front office always reminds us when need to come in. They are all knowledgeable in all areas and make you feel welcomed when you walk in till the end of treatment. Talk about royal treatment!! Just love them!!!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dental office I have been too. My husband has been struggling with tooth pain , we were recommended by a friend to come here. We were not to sure as we have had so many bad experiences with dental offices , but I’m so glad I brought my husband here. Maria the manager walked us through the whole time, answered all our questions, seriously felt like family. She is also a Spanish speaker which is a plus!!! Everyone in that office to the dentist doctor were excellent! My husband biggest appreciation was the communication. Fantastic experience: Look at all these niners on this page - that's the main reason I switched to David. If he's good enough for 49ers he's definitely good enough for me! I'm on phase 3 of Invisalign and my smile has absolutely never looked better in my life. The last phase is working out the last kinks on the most stubborn tooth and perfecting my bite. David has been truly awesome throughout this whole process, from recommending it, showing what it will look like, walking me through the thought of having a mouthpiece, to the result that I have right now. It's been an awesome process, and I love the fact that my teeth look better and better each week! I would truly recommend Invisalign to anyone with crooked teeth that are adults - because who wants permanent braces as adults? Sometimes I see people - athletes or whatnot - with crooked teeth and I can't believe they didn't get Invisalign. Craziness.

Fantastic experience: We heard about Dr. Chung at Sunnyvale Dental Aesthetics through a friend and ended up taking our son here for his first ever dental appointment. It was easy to make an appointment and we didn’t really have to wait long once we got there. The staff and Dr. Chung were extremely welcoming. At first our son was a little nervous, but he quickly warmed up to her. She was very thorough in checking his teeth and answering all the questions we had, and she did a great job at making our son feel calm while brushing and applying fluoride. Once she was finished the staff gave our son a prize (they have a bunch of great little toys to give kids). Overall great experience and will definitely return!

Fantastic experience: Of course I would have a dental emergency with a few days left in 2022! It was tough finding an office that wasn’t closed for the Christmas and New Year break that was accepting new, last minute patients. This office did just that, expeditiously verified insurance and squeezed me in for care. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable and Dr. Chung was professional, personable, and it was just an overall delight to be under her care. I had been looking to transition my dental provider for some time now and I’m glad I found this office.
