SERIOUSLY Who used to be petrified of needles ME NOT ANY MORE - and I am 79 years old and have been going to Dr. Andre since he started many years go - I just strut in - flip my hair/laugh and let it happen - no stress at all. Dr. Andre IS MY HERO and this is the dentist you start your kids with - they will never be afraid of the dentist and or needles. And what about Lisa (she cleans your teeth), Sarah (in the office) and the friendly/efficient front desk personnel, along with other staff members - it doesn't get any better than these women/men!! Silver Lake Dental came highly recommended for people with dental anxiety and I can confirm that is true! What an absolute lovely staff that is there. From when you walk in the door, the exam and everything in between, everyone was so kind and spoke to you with care and compassion. I truly have never felt more at ease being at the dentist (I’m typically high anxiety the entire visit). I’m so grateful to of finally work up the courage to visit and so glad I found my new dentist!

Positive experience: Used to be a great family dentist office. A little busier now. Never see the same hydrentrist. Still have 100% confidence in them but miss the small family feel

Negative experience: First, they changed their billing policy and you have to pay for your service before you leave and then YOU have to follow up with your dental insurance. Then, they went out of my dental network and did not tell us, and we did not get fully reimbursed by my dental insurance. This is a good example of a bad business model. Stay away from these people and double check if they are still in your insurance network before going to your appointment.

Fantastic experience: I and my entire family, (adult children and their significant others included more recently) have been patients at Silver Lake Dental for over 20yrs. We love everything about them, the hygienist, doctors, and office staff are professional and friendly. They make for a pleasant experience always. Their new, state of the art office is very nice too. Even though we don’t live as close to the office as we used to we all still make the drive for our dental needs. It’s very much worth it.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about my experience at Silver Lake Dental today. Every member of the staff was incredibly thoughtful, empathetic to my anxiety, and exceptionally knowledgeable. They exceeded my expectations and made the visit so much better than I ever imagined a dental appointment could be. From the start, they put my fears at ease and made me feel comfortable. Their expertise and care were truly top-notch.

Negative experience: I was told for years by this place that I never needed my wisdom teeth out even after asking at every cleaning. Over time I noticed my teeth no longer touched on one side, I made an appointment to get it looked at was told by Dr. Andre that it was normal and to go back to see my orthodontist. When I go to the orthodontist they called over to get the notes from the visit (there was never any notes written or anything written in the chart that I had been there). When I went to the orthodontist I was told that I developed an open bite due to my wisdom teeth being fully grown in and me not having room for them (literallywent in for a cleaning three days before this appointment and again was told I didn’t need them out). Highly wouldn’t recommend. Edit: you gave me the referral at the November visit in case I wanted to get them out and said it was nothing urgent when it definitely was. I was told on my cleaning on 7/12/24 that “I’m one of those lucky people that don’t need to get them removed” then 3 days later at the orthodontist I was told to get them asap.

It’s been great watching Dr Andre grow from a small practice to what he has today. In that growth he has not lost any of the integrity, family like feel, or the genuine love for what he does, and his staff has been nothing but amazing. They are efficient, always on time, and very helpful when it comes to insurance. If you are looking for any amazing dentist. Silver Lake Dental in Wilmington is your place!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Andre for the past almost 20 years. Their staff are friendly and are customer centered. Dr. Andre is humorous and very good with the no pain anesthesia technique and under their care, I still have my full set of teeth near 60!

I grew up coming here in the 70s under Dr. Zampese. Dr. Andre took over in the 90s (?) and has provided me - and now my entire family - with wonderful care for years. I commute ~45 min each way to see them. It's worth it!

I had the same dentist my entire life until his passing and was very anxious about going anywhere else. From my first phone call Silver Lake staff has been personable, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Their office is clean, organized and I felt comfortable and welcome as soon as I checked in. Lisa the hygienist was is great at her job and also helped make me feel comfortable and checked in several times to make sure I was doing OK. Dr. Vu explained some options to me clearly and never once pressured me one way or another. He answered all my questions and I felt in charge and informed. His chairside manners were very reassuring. Overall, from someone who has never been a fan of going to the dentist I highly, highly recommend Silver Lake Dental.

Best decision I've made, they're nice, efficient, not so rough where it feels like I'm sitting in a torture device, and more "matter of fact" about your choice to floss or not floss vs the classic guilt trip.
