Fantastic experience: I am delighted to tell you both dentist at this practice are excellent. Dr.(Brad) Griffin often hums while he works, stopping occasionally to ask if you're okay or to explain what he is about to do. Dr. (Erin) Steib is always cheerful and thorough in her explanation of what your treatment plan should be; and what needs to be prioritized. They are also people of INTEGRITY. On a recent visit I was given a refund from my mother's account (who passed away). I was unaware of the credit and would never have thought to inquire about her account. The staff is pleasant and the office is clean. Having a great dentist is equally as important as having a good PCP!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Griffin and Dr. Griffin, a husband-and-wife team, and their entire staff. Our relationship with this practice actually began years ago when my youngest daughter had an accident that required extensive dental work. Dr. Griffin did such an incredible job that when he later left that office, they would not tell us where he had gone. We literally hunted him down because we knew we did not want anyone else caring for our family’s dental needs. Once we found him, the rest of our family became patients as well. What I appreciate most is not just their skill as dentists, but the way they treat people. So many dental offices can make you feel embarrassed, judged, or guilty about your dental health. That has never been our experience here. Whether it was a routine cleaning, a cavity, or a larger dental issue, we have always been treated with kindness, respect, and encouragement. The attitude is never, “Why didn’t you do better?” Instead, it is, “Let’s see how we can help.” The entire staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They make every visit comfortable and welcoming. They truly take the time to get to know their patients and make you feel valued. My oldest daughter now lives downtown, yet she still drives all the way to Cypress for her dental appointments because the care she receives here is worth it. One of my favorite memories was when I turned 50. Somehow they knew it was my 50th birthday, whether I mentioned it or one of my daughters did, I honestly cannot remember. What I do remember is how special they made me feel. Before we even got started with my appointment, they celebrated me, took pictures with me, and treated me like a princess. Who celebrates their 50th birthday at the dentist’s office? I did, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my birthday. If you are looking for dentists who are highly skilled, compassionate, personable, and supported by an amazing staff, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Griffin and Dr. Griffin. They do not just say they treat you like family, they truly do. We have trusted them with our family’s smiles for years, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I found this dentist office on TikTok. Someone else had posted about them, and I decided to give them a try. My first appointment was on 4/6, and I almost canceled because my allergies were so bad that day, but I’m really glad I didn’t and I was due for a cleaning. Both doctors are very nice, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I was seen by Dr. Griffin and his assistant Martha during my first visit and again on 5/1. He was very thorough and didn’t recommend anything that wasn’t necessary. He was also very gentle, which I really appreciated after coming from a dentist who was a bit heavy-handed. Martha was also pleasant. I also loved the little details like their cute after-cleaning bags and the overall dental office theme, which made the experience feel even more thoughtful and put together. They also seem prompt and on time. I was seen at the time of my appointment. I’ve been to a few different dentist to where I was sitting in the waiting room way past my appointment time. I really enjoyed my experience and plan on bringing my daughter next time. I didn’t realize they see kids as well, so that makes it even more convenient!

Fantastic experience: On our initial visit to Universal Smiles, my husband and I found it to be an incredible setting, and rewarding experience. The dentist, Dr. Griffin, was thorough with his examination, explanation of findings, and answers to all our questions. His assistant, Martha, was kind and very professional and proficient. The overall vibe of the office is exemplary. The ladies at front desk , (Stephanie, Madeline) set the tone , way before we were seen by the doctor. They were so kind, professional, and helpful as they made sure our experience was a great one. During that visit, I even had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Griffin, which immediately made me feel more comfortable and confident in my decision to return. At my appointment on March 16th, the exceptional service continued. Every single person I encountered was patient, kind, and incredibly attentive—they truly made me feel valued. Hailey was amazing—gentle, thorough, and reassuring throughout my X-rays and cleaning. I’m so happy she’ll be my hygienist going forward. Dr. Steib-Griffin took the time to clearly walk me through my treatment plan, prioritizing what needed attention first and making sure I felt informed every step of the way. The financial portion was also explained in a clear, respectful, and stress-free manner. I can confidently say I’ve found my dental home. Universal Smiles delivers top-tier care with a personal touch that’s hard to find. And the fact that it’s a Black-owned, husband-and-wife practice? Absolute perfection.

Fantastic experience: Excellent work and staff here. Went in for a simple cleaning and had a filling replaced. When checking out, I asked about bleaching and they were able to squeeze me in right then to have my trays made. Fast forward 1 month to my final bleaching and they look fantastic! Madeline did a great job, was very attentive and kept me entertained through the whole process (1 hour). Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Brad Griffin has been my dentist for about 10 years. He is the best Dentist I ever had. He changed offices and I trust him so much I drive across town to his new office. He has never hurt me and he hums when he works which is calming. He has done at least 3 root canals for me with zero pain, and keeps the rest of my teeth healthy. 10 stars.

My veneer broke 3 days before Christmas on my front top tooth and I planned on surprising my Grandma for her 90th birthday after the holidays and boy o boy would she have been surprised to see what I looked like. Fantastic experience: Dr. Erin is an AH-MAZINGGGGG Dentist! As a dentist myself, she is actually my dentist and I can say it’s totally different being the patient. What I can honestly say is she is gentle, quick and efficient…all things patients value b/c, let’s be honest, no one truly loves being at the dentist. I think her patients are pretty lucky to have her…and I promise I’m not just saying that b/c she’s my classmate and friend, she truly loves what she does!

This office is clean and centrally located to the Cypress area. The staff members were very warm and welcoming! Hailey explained everything about what she was doing and my cleaning, and Dr. Steib was thorough as well. I have made an appointment for my husband as well. Fantastic experience: I started going to Universal Smiles in February. I was in pain and needed immediate work. They got me in and taken care of in less than 24 hours. I’ve never felt more comfortable at a dentist so I made a follow up appointment for the rest of the work I needed ( a lot) and my regular cleanings. All of the staff is so friendly and professional. I’ve had awful experiences with dentists in the past so I’m always over amped and nervous but they never fail to make me comfortable and give me time to adjust and calm my nerves. Fantastic experience: After my last traumatic dentist experience, I was pretty hesistant to walk into another dentist office, but I made the appointment with Universal Smiles. As soon as I walked in, I felt at ease for the first time. Everyone was so kind and all the dentists and hygienists were super informative and friendly. They walked me through my treatment plan, answered every question I had, and were extremely transparent with me. I've had terrible experiences with pain in the past doing deep cleanings, but this place is TOP TIER and I didn't feel a thing after using their topical numbing. I can't explain how amazing it feels to not be afraid of the dentist anymore, just after one visit here. I highly recommend and they will take such good care of you like they did for me!

I’ve had bad experience with dentist office so with that said, I have a phobia when it comes to going to the dentist. But I was referred by a specialist to Universal Smiles Dentist Office. When walking inside you’re greeted by a receptionist named, Michelle. She was very nice and helpful. Dr Erin Steib Griffin is amazing and she definitely has a heart and takes pride in her work. I was going to another dentist office that said my tooth couldn’t be saved after two specialists said it could be saved. Dr Erin Steib Griffin proved the specialist to be right. I was so nervous and she put my fear to ease she got started along with her amazing assistant Madeline super sweet and before I knew it she was done with absolutely NO PAIN. Negative experience: Dr. Brad is great, but their billing department and Michelle aren't. My portion was paid on the date of service, but I was billed an additional charge almost a year later. I spoke with my insurance and relayed the info they gave me to Michelle King, but I received that same bill again, almost 2 years after the initial date of service. If it were billed correctly, we would've never had this problem, and I have all the proper documentation to dispute this charge indefinitely!

Fantastic experience: I can't say anything bad about universal smiles even if I tried to find something to complain about. I've been there maybe 8 times for cleanings and several procedures and everytime they've been extremely professional, the service is awesome and they're extremely knowledgeable and clean. They take great care of my teeth.

Negative experience: Went to this doctor's office mid-2022, while performing a filling he talked about his dogs, couch, floors, shoes, all sorts of nonsense that had nothing to do with patient care. He was so Unprofessional from the beginning to the end, that was the last visit with this dentist and the filling didn't stay long.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service and professionalism! Prior to this I have had nothing but painful, horrible experiences with a variety of dentists in different cities over my lifetime. I had gotten to the point that I refused to go for treatment. In fact, it had been several years since my last dental procedure. The staff here, though, provided compassionate and courteous service and pain free dentistry for the first time ever for me! I would recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Great place!!! The staff is very personable and punctual. I was a new patient and was in and out. They are very thorough, the hygienist was very gentle, and the dentist clearly explained my treatment and dental plan. She also took the time to answer all of my questions. I’ve had dental trauma in the past making this type of visit not an easy one. Gentle Dr. Griffin has changed all of that. Now I can’t wait for my next dental visit.
