Fantastic experience: I don’t even know where to start, but this is the best dental practice ever! Everyone is so kind and inviting. The office itself is beautiful. I love that they had a little book nook area in the waiting room with tons of books. I got to watch Moana while I got my teeth worked on. I am 68 years old but I would have loved coming here as a child. Dr. Strepka is a very kind and caring person. You can tell that everyone who works there loves working there. If you are looking for a great family oriented dental office in the Cypress, TX area this is the place for you and your family!

Negative experience: Do not recommend. Heavy sales pressure, constant upselling. It's like going for an oil change and having to replace the whole engine. You get the idea. Be warned.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Sandalwood and Dr Strepka (a lot) over the years. I really like going to Sandalwood for a couple of reasons. Dr Strepka is a bright and skillful dentist along with being an awesome person. His office is modern and equipped with all of the latest denistry tools. The Sandalwood employees are all very bright and business like in their demeanor. Yet, are also part of the friendliest dental office on the planet. I CANNOT recommend enough. Before my first visit I had gone 14 years without visiting the dentist due to severe dental anxiety. I had multiple horrible/traumatic experiences in the past but my husband assured me Dr Strepka and his team were amazing. My husband was right. I have never feared cleanings, fillings, crowns nor a root canal here. The staff is so incredibly friendly and gentle. I also love that you’re never told to have unnecessary work done and they treat you with respect. I must also mention that my child LOVES going to the dentist. He genuinely gets excited for his appointments even 8 years since his first one!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Strepka for several years. I have never had a negative experience. He is very tuned in to his patients. And even the slightest flinch of pain he notices and stops. He does not want you to feel pain and if needed will deaden the spot he is working on. The office staff has always been nice to work with and helpful with insurance (or self pay, if I went that route.) I am pretty sure every hygienist there has cleaned my teeth and I have zero complaints. Great Doctor, Hygenists, Dental Assistants, and Office Staff. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: 100% recommend. I went to them a few years ago and had my wisdom teeth removed and they were great. I recently went to another dentist near where I live and I did not feel comfortable at all so I went back to Sandalwood and they were amazing. They understood my anxiety when it comes to the dentist and took the time to make me feel comfortable and explain everything. A lot cheaper than the previous dentist I went to as well.

From the check-in at reception, to the cleanings, to the exams…always an easy and painless process! Jamie is a joy and super comfortable to get along with every visit. Fantastic experience: November 2025: I cannot say enough good things about this office. The reception worked extra hard to accommodate my difficult schedule to get me an appointment. Jamie was quick to spot a broken cavity during cleaning. She took pictures with a tiny camera to show me on the computer screen. They were able to fix it the same day. The most amazing part was the Dentist was giving me a local injection and I had no idea. I hate pain and shots. I thought he was doing an exam on what he will need to do. Didn't feel even a pinch. Amazing skills. Every employee is so kind and caring. I will always go out of my way to come to this office. September 2019: Still some of the nicest people and most amazing dentist staff. They make the process simple and easy. Highly recommended. I came across this place on accident. I've been visiting for about 8 years now and would not go anywhere else. I have Dr. S as my dentist, but overall the staff if very friendly. Every visit I have, they treat me with the upmost respect. In the past I have had other dentists nag and nag about how bad my dental hygene is and make me feel unwelcome. This staff adresses and treats all issues with respect and keep me informed during every part of a process they do, as well as inform me about better home care. It is a bit of a drive for me to make it out to this location, but I wouldnvt want to try anyone else. Office is always clean, and it is obvious they are using some of the most current technology.

Fantastic experience: You won’t find a more caring group of professionals in the dental industry. They are the best!! From the front desk all the way to the care you get from Dr. Strepka. I have had a lot of dental work done by Dr. Strepka through the years. Most recently the procedure I had required me to be put under. I’m a heart patient and Dr. Strepka’s staff had already gotten all the clearances from my cardiologist for the procedure. But just days before the procedure I was admitted into the hospital with heart arrhythmia issues caused by critically low potassium level. So after being released on a Thursday before my scheduled procedure on Monday - 8 am I realized I should let the anesthesiologist know. So they reached out again for an updated release from my electrophysiologist and my cardiologist for an updated release. They didn’t receive the updated release from cardiology until after hours on Friday. Thankfully Dr. Strepka's staff called me on that Saturday and advised per the cardiologist instruction I had to have an updated potassium level checked before he would approve. That turned out to be very difficult to accomplish on a weekend. But Mindy with Dr. Strepka’s office and I pulled it off finally after many attempts and phone calls…again…all of this was on a Saturday! I was able to then get the procedure on Monday morning without another hitch! And all is great. This office just can not be beat!

Dr. Strepka and the dental assistant were amazing and reassured me when things got tough. I went to another dentist years ago for fillings and it was a totally different experience. Some of the fillings started coming out as I ate and I thought that was normal but the work that Dr.Strepka did was incredible. No pieces crumbing out or anything like that. I’m truly grateful for the work done. The office has a calming atmosphere, especially for me. I get a little nervous at the doctors office, even as an adult. Fantastic experience: So I can't say enough great things about Sandalwood. I have been with them for going on 13yrs and my teeth have never been happier! Their staff is absolutely amazing, so kind and sweet and the work is top notch. Both Dr. Strepka and Dr. Menning are masters in their craft! I had another dentist install a crown prior to coming to Sandalwood and it never fit right. Dr. Strepka was able to replace it for me and it fit like a GLOVE! In the time I've been at Sandalwood I've gotten married and had two kids...now the ENTIRE family goes to Sandalwood! My husband has some unique dental history that makes him leary of dentist visits. However, Dr. Menning's amazing "bedside" manner has calmed his nerves over the years and made him enjoy his biannual visits a bit more. My kiddos are 3 & 7 and have been going to Sandalwood from day one of their dental experience. All of the team has been amazing with them and patient as they evolve in their "dental comfort". We moved about 8 years ago from the Cypress area but continue to drive out to Sandalwood because of the great care and amazing people! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Fantastic doctor and office staff!! Always an easy and convenient experience with their text appointments. I’ve been seeing Dr. Strepka since I was a kid, and he is nice, courteous and goes above and beyond to help me. Even meeting me offsite to give me my retainers. I’ve done all my 6 months check ups here for years and Invisalign though them as well. The ladies at the front are also so sweet and helpful, and Jamie and all the other hygienists are fantastic too. Fantastic experience: Hear me out, alot of dentists offices feel like a business more than a healthcare provider and that’s not the case here. They’re obviously great dentists and they’re amazing professionals from the receptionists to the actual dentists. However, they actually are much more than that. They’re just so incredibly kind and understanding. I’ve never gone in and not wanted to. I’ve never understood the fear of going to the dentist because of Sandalwood. I’ve been their patient since I was about 10-11 so well over 15 years. They have always been as amazing as they were when they started the practice. Even as a kid I loved going to the dentist and getting a lil present of free toothpaste and brushes at the end. I’ve never thought about switching dentists even because I know they’re the best out here. i couldn’t recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: This was my son’s first visit to Sandalwood. He had been complaining about a toothache and his normal dentist could not get him in. I was able to get him in the same day. Cortney was super sweet and caring with him while taking X-rays. Dr. Menning was kind and very informative on what the next steps would be.

I event started bringing my toddler, and they were very patient with her when she was a little afraid. Unfortunately my insurance is no longer in network, but I would still pay an additional cost for services. Highly recommend.

My wife changed her dental insurance, so she asked this office to verify and confirm the cost for her Cleaning Routine but it took 4 days this dental office still cannot verify her dental plan coverage. The office manager didn't even know what the different between my wife's old and new insruacen and she kept saying in that my wife has to pay for $50 co-pay for her cleaning routine while this co-pay only apply to any treatment EXCEPT maintain/cleaning routine procedure. The front office girl even though doesn't care and suggest if the patient want to cancel her appointment if the insurance cannot verity. There are many other competitors in the metropolitan that provide better service than this dental office. Save your time and money to other better dental office services.

Dr Strepka & his assistants always explain everything in great detail. He always suggests other ways of doing things that make my anxiety more manageable. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Sandalwood enough! I went in for cosmetic services (cap/veneer on one front tooth, which is not an easy job), and I am so pleased with the result. They really care about their patients! And Dr. Strepka is somehow always in a good mood. Highly recommend!
