Fantastic experience: Having a molar extracted and a bridge put in is certainly no one's idea of fun. But Dr. Eckels and staff made the experience about as good as it could be. All the options and every step of each procedure were explained ahead of time, so I always knew exactly what to expect. Everything was done in a very professional, efficient, and, importantly, in a truly CARING way. I'm a retired physician with very high expectations and standards for my medical care, and this office has been great ... everything from the front desk and back office staff to the doctors and technicians is top notch!

Negative experience: Horrible experience!! They just want to extract your teeth and then push you out the door bleeding and all. El who supposedly has 30 years experience wasn’t even able to take my impression correctly took it from behind with my head tilted back and the temporary dentures have been a nightmare for three months now. When you return for an readjustment they make you feel as though you’re bothering them and that you are the problem. I also sat in the waiting room for an hour today with no apology or explanation. They sell themselves on being the jack of all trades, but believe me they are the master of none!!!!!!!!! It is like a meat market with people coming and going nonstop, needing adjustments for the poorly made dentures!!!! Please heed my advice, and go to a dentist that specializes in dentures, etc.

Fantastic experience: Dr Eckels treated me for an abscessed tooth, which had caused my jaw to swell and a terrible earache and was diagnosed by my family practioner. He did x-rays and a CT scan and immediately suggested removal of my back molar which was fractured in 3 places. Then he sent me to the surgeon across from him to schedule an emergency appointment. When the appointment was scheduled for two weeks later he had his staff call and get it moved up. Thank goodness because it was extremely infected and full of puss underneath! He gave me good advice about just having the entire tooth removed with no root canal because with the damage and location of the tooth all the way in the back, full removal was best. I am very happy with the end result.

When I became a young adult, I decided to fix my teeth and smile despite my anxiety on the subject. I needed lots of treatment and braces. Dr Eckels was my guy. He spent hours on fillings and root canals. He eased my worries with his genuine sense of humor and kindness - he even made going to the dentist a little fun. Shortly after having all my work done and getting my braces on I moved out of state. The only thing I liked about the state of FL besides getting my dog there was Dr Eckels. It’s been 7 or 8 years and Dr Eckels is still my favorite dentist. If you’re in the area - look no further for your dentist. He’s your guy.

Fantastic experience: Dr Eckels reset my crown that came out a couple days prior. It did not last but again came out the morning of the hurricane. I tried calling a coupe days later and went to voicemail. I then received a text which i replied stating that my crown came off and if someone could call me when they weren't busy…. As of today nobody has contacted me.
