Fantastic experience: Webster Dental is the best. It took me nearly a lifetime but I finally found my favorite dentist of all time in Dr. Thai. Everyone at the Evanston practice is very welcoming and professional, including Stacey and each of the staff at the front desk. I had a filling done today with zero discomfort. Dr. Thai took the time to answer all of my questions and polish my two front teeth so they look better than I ever thought they could. I'm so grateful that I chose this practice when I moved here last year!

Fantastic experience: My dentist is Dr. Swanson. I had to have a crown put in, so I also worked with Dr. Ho. My experience was nothing short of spectacular. Their work was excellent. Their patient interaction wonderful. And best of all, during each phase of having the work done there was no discomfort either in the office or after the office visit. If I have one regret -- I did not get the name of my dental hygienist who assist. Her work and patient care was also wonderful. Finally, so was the office staff! Webster Dental Care in Evanston is simply a great place.

I show up for my appointment and am immediately shown to the hygienist cubical. She is efficient and caring. Dental Professionals of Evanston have ben my dental caregivers for 27 years. Negative experience: The dentist was fine, but I wanted to give honest feedback about the X-rays. The assistant was rough positioning the film holders, and as the repeated attempts continued, her demeanor became increasingly impatient and rude toward me, even though the issue was ultimately equipment failure. Five X-rays were taken before changing machines, and those images were completely blank — not blurry images that needed retakes. When I finally said I could not continue, being told “You have to” in a rude tone felt inappropriate and dismissive. Patients should be treated with patience and professionalism , especially when the problems are not patient-related.

Fantastic experience: What a fabulous experience, from the beginning to the end. I needed a tooth extracted, and the Evanston Webster Dental got me in immediately. I was fortunate that the periodontist, Dr. Ho was working today. He is a brilliant practitioner. I've had my share of dental work done in my day, and his injections to numb the area were practically painless. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He talked me through the entire appointment, explaining everything as he went. The rest of the staff is awesome also! I felt totally at ease the whole time. Thank you Webster Dental Evanston, and especially Dr Ho! If you have to go to the dentist, please consider this practice. Five stars here.

Negative experience: I went for a cleaning with no intention of getting my wisdom teeth remove, nevertheless they told me I had to take a panoramic Xrays to proceed with the cleaning. It didn't matter that I showed them previous Xrays, and made it clear that I had no intention of removing my wisdom teeth at this time. What’s worse, they didn’t use a lead vest during the procedure.

Negative experience: If you want a dental cleaning you will need to wait a long time. For the new patients they have plenty availability but once you want to do a dental cleaning you need to wait. They would even split the cleaning session in two parts because they don't schedule enough time per patient.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the front desk are wonderful! I woke up with tooth pain the Monday before Thanksgiving and was worried about it escalating over the holiday weekend. I was so grateful that they were able to fit me in the same day. I saw Dr. Thai for the first time, and she was so nice and reassuring. I normally Dr. Swanson, who is also very sweet and always takes good care of me. I highly recommend Webster Dental of Evanston!!

Negative experience: I recently shifted away from Webster Dental in Evanston. Unfortunately there were many reasons my care was in adequate. On a handful of occasions my appointment was rescheduled the week or day before, one specifically was because there would be no one available on the day they had scheduled me - the schedule was unreliable. On one occasion administratively the care I received was incorrectly reported through insurance and I was charged for a service I did not get. Care wise there have been rotating hygienists. The last three occasions have been terrible experiences, each time I provided the office feedback and gave another chance but nothing got better. On one occasion the women completely missed polishing one side of my mouth, could not figure out the chair, and was not recording the numbers correctly when the dentists was measuring my gums. The worst part of this was the dentist, clearly also frustrated, was speaking to her in an incredibly demeaning and punitive tone, not professional, kind or a model for how to navigate the situation. Most recently the hygienist clipped my tongue with a cleaning tool, left the water tool on and spilled water all over the floor and tray, and when I stated it had been over an hour I needed to leave she pressured me for fluoride when I said no, she kept telling me why I should, when I said no, she continued to tell me I should, it was very condescending, finally I just stopped talking and asked if we were done so I could leave. No appointment ever started on time, and they were always over an hour long. Finally, I have a type of muscular dystrophy that impacts the strength of my muscles around my mouth, I cannot spit into the suction tool without it coming out the sides of my mouth and after repeated times telling every hygienist this the last circumstance was the worst of situation of this, her telling me how to do it, and asking me to repeatedly. It was the last straw.

Fantastic experience: Webster Dental Care in Evanston is fantastic! I am greeted with a cheerful, familiar face, and my dentist Dr. Dolce, is the best! He is always kind, works quickly, and efficiently. He's like family to me.

Fantastic experience: I always have a five star experience at Webster Dental in Evanston. I have been going there regularly for years and they are very careful with my general sensitivity when doing cleanings and give good tips for keeping your gums healthy!!

Positive experience: Good experience. New to this dental office, I normally don't review any business this early. But, I appreciated getting a same-day emergency appt (due to the pain I was in). I was consulted about my situation and steps were taken to relieve the pain. The staff was friendly and welcoming. More to come as time progresses.

Fantastic experience: Terrible in Evanston. Refused to schedule my regular teeth cleaning until I booked a deep cleaning on. 2 teeth for $1700! They were good at first then they brought in some arrogant, condescending, aggressive manager woman who sat and tried to convince me I needed another deep cleaning for $1700 3 months after I had already had one done!! Had X-rays done by another dentist in the same building that said I didn’t even need it. Money grabbing business- don’t trust them or go there!

Fantastic experience: This last appointment I am commenting on was for dental cleaning by hygienist, Savannah. Let me start by saying that as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by professional and very helpful office people. Savannah, continued this vibe, cleaning was absolute tops, and I always learn from her. In addition, she told me about how Webster Dental is keeping up with technology, continuing to up their game! This is absolutely not the dental care I received for most of my life! My experience in terms of customer service these days is dicey at best, but al the staff here are all consistently kind, reliable, and go out of their way, I couldn’t recommend them any more highly!

Fantastic experience: I didn’t have a really good experience at the Skokie location so I made an appointment to come here for a “second opinion.” The hygienist (I can’t remember her name) and Dr Swanson were so thorough and explained in detail what I needed to get done and how to care for my teeth better. They were both pleasant to work with and worth the hour and a half appointment :). I’ll be returning in 3 months for another cleaning. Fantastic experience: My implant was placed perfectly after some concern about its angle. The dentist worked with X-rays & bite formation. She worked until the implant was just right, the 4th step in a month long process.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Matthew Dolce for about 20 years. He’s a great dentist. However, ever since he moved his practice to Webster Dental, I have felt they have been upcharging and upselling me for dental services beyond what’s reasonable. Recently Dr. Dolce recommended I get a crown for a developing crack on one of my teeth. I was having no problems and no pain at all, but he “sold me” on the motion that’s I’d need something eventually. I paid in full for the session, and for the permanent crown that would be placed in weeks. During the procedure to create a seat for the temporary crown, perhaps accidentally, Dr. Dolce drilled into the crack and made it wider. I was now in agony for weeks. He recommended I see an endodontist, who told me I now needed a $2000 root canal to remove the nerve and to repair the wider crack from within. The kicker for me, though, is that Webster Dental made me pay an extra ~$500 to seat the permanent crown because now the root canal area — resulting ONLY from Dr. Dolce’s advice and work — needed more material. I asked them to waive that charge under the circumstances, and they refused. The Dr. Dolce I used to go to would not have charged me for this. Webster Dental and its corporate profit-mind has ruined a good dentist’s practice. Unfortunately, after 20 years, I’ll be looking for a new dentist.

Here's what GoodRX.com says: "According to Authority Dental, all-ceramic or zirconia crowns cost $1,000 to $2,500, with an average cost of $1,300." My cost at Webster, $2,728.00.

Fantastic experience: Holiday disaster averted. Lost a crown while enjoying a caramel (I know my bad). Thought I would have to enter the new year looking like Ann Hathaway in Les Mis! Dr. Dulce and staff put my smile back together saving the day and my holiday! Thank you!!!
