Negative experience: Customer service is not top of mine at this location in Deptford. I do not plan to return at to this location.

Negative experience: I had an appointment for 10:30 AM which I placed with in the last week. With no notification to me, they canceled my appointment. I came in for my appointment. I was noticeably upset. Nobody reached out to you correct the situation. There are better package dental deals available on Groupon.

Fantastic experience: By far the absolute best dental experience! I used to go to the dentist once every five years or so and get a ton of work done. My wife found this office and now for the past 5 years I go every 3 months because of this office. They remind you of upcoming visits well ahead of time, the receptionist greets you upon arrival, you are always taken back on time, Dr. Bell is great and detailed with his explanations, and Peggy the hygienist, is absolutely the best in the business. Don't delay to get back on a routine with your teeth...schedule a visit today!! You wont be disappointed!!

Negative experience: Don’t go here. They lied and said I had three cavities, butchered my mouth and left it sore for two weeks. They were very careless with the numbing needle and had to inject it multiple times because they couldn’t get it done right the first time. Super unprofessional. Will not go back.

A+ Update 01/20/26: I just got home from my latest visit to Main Street Dental, and they are still hitting it out of the park. Dr. Bell and Peggy are still exceptional! Dr. Bell gave me some good advice and I couldn't be more pleased! I lucked out and found a dental practice that gave me great advice which worked out better than I could have imagined. Fantastic experience: After having a bad experience at another dental office I called Main Street dental and they got me in right away from start to finish I had a great experience everyone was super friendly and very helpful and informative. The Dr had a little of a dry personality but overall he was amazing. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was just another number. Everyone took their time and they listened. I’m excited for my next appointment!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bell is amazing. I had a bad fear of dentists because I had bad experiences with procedures as simple as a filling. Dr. Bell did a root canal on me and he did not lie when he said some patients fall asleep. It was the FIRST time in my life where a procedure was pain free. I live two hours away and was in the area for school. I will make this drive again if I ever need procedures like fillings and root canals. I can't trust anyone else after this wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist was warm and welcoming from the initial phone call I made to schedule my son’s appointment a few months ago, and meeting her in person, I was still greeted the same way. Peggy, the dental hygienist, was an absolutely pleasure to work with. Her knowledge in the dental profession was evident as she spoke to me and my teenage son throughout the whole process of x-rays, cleaning, next processes. The dentist was professional and very thorough. I am so grateful to have found this practice.

Negative experience: I went to this dentist a few years ago for a free consultation. They are just sending me a bill. I have no idea what’s going on. But as I read the one star ratings I see they are charging people for no reason. They need to be sued!

Negative experience: I strongly advise anyone contemplating using this dental practice to reconsider. It's an extremely dubious establishment. I visited for a filling and was informed they would carry out a pulp cap, a procedure I later discovered is typically performed on young children to preserve a tooth. Direct pulp capping is generally used on a primary tooth with normal pulp that has been accidentally exposed by 1 mm or less. A medicament is then applied as a cap before a restoration is placed. The application of direct pulp capping on primary teeth is a contentious issue due to concerns about low success rates. What kind of dentist would suggest such a procedure? Certainly not a competent one. Unsurprisingly, I canceled the subsequent appointment and ended up having a root canal several months later. A few weeks ago, I received a bill for $160.00 for a dental restoration. I found this strange as I only had a filling. So, I contacted them and was told that Kayla from billing would return my call. She never did. I reached out to my insurance company and they informed me that restoration is not covered by my insurance. Despite numerous attempts to contact the dental practice, they never returned my calls. Rest assured, I will be filing a claim.

Negative experience: The orthodontist I had Peggy was great! ... The front of the desk makes me not want to come back. The first time I called the front desk argued with me that they do not take my insurance, even though my insurance said they did. I decided to call back when that person probably wasn't there. I got in contact the next day and what do you know?! My insurance is accepted lol! Then I had my appointment and they forgot to put my PAIN MED prescription in! Then I was supposed to have a appointment with their specialist and it got cancelled twice and then the front desk got an attitude with me because I was asking why it had to be rescheduled twice! So from what I can see the back of the house is intelligent and nice. The front desk will make you wanna .................

Fantastic experience: My visit with Dr. Bell went extremely well. He advised me on my options of how to remedy a decaying tooth that I have. He reviewed the x rays that were taken and thoroughly explained what was going on with the tooth. Dr. Bell took his time and answered my questions and concerns. After his consultation we decided on a plan of action. I feel confident that I am in competent hands with his expertise and knowledge. Onto the next step. Bill Hertens

Fantastic experience: Receptionists are very nice and efficient. The dentist was very professional and attentive. Peggy( who worked on me) was extremely caring and concerned about my comfort. I had some scaling done which can be painful, but experienced no pain at all. This was my first appt with Main Street(excluding my consultation) and Peggy made me feel like I’d been a patient there for years. I loved my last dental team, but unfortunately they don’t accept my new insurance. Luckily , I’ve found my new team. Good Drs. Are hard to come by. I would recommend this office in a heartbeat. Couldn’t figure out how to post a new review so I’m just adding to this review. Saw “My Peggy” again and got praised for the improvement I’ve made taking care of my teeth. It’s nice to hear something positive instead of all negative when you go to the Dr. I actually don’t mind going to get my teeth cleaned at all, I try to think about anything new in my life that’s happened so I can chat about it with Peggy . I know this sounds kind of corny, but I enjoy talking to my dental hygienist….( and I’m not a loser. LOL). Highly recommend this office and all of its staff Again, dont know how to post a new review, so adding to this one . Peggy was, as always, awesome. She has a great sense of humor, wonderful bedside manner and keen sense of your needs. I cant say enough good things.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst dental office around. They scheduled me for a 6 month followup, appointment was supposed to be August 29th at 9am, appointment card given to me. August 27th and August 29th text messages confirming my visit on August 29th at 9am. I show up at 845 and wait till 855 and attempted to go in office. Someone from office opens the door and says no appointments today we are closed! They confirmed appointment via text on the 27th and 28th! Then when I call and inquire They say they contacted me and rescheduled which is complete BS!

The staff were very pleasant, letting me know what they found as they did their exam. The doctor thoroughly explained what I needed, and saved me a visit by taking impressions while I was there. Negative experience: I’ve been going to main street dental for years and have had no issues. They changed dentist this year and now I am not sure if I will go back here again. I booked an appointment 4 months in advance , today I got a text message reminder to confirm my appointment Monday. I get a phone call 2 hours later saying my 3 pm slot is now not available because I didn’t confirm in enough time when I am at work and was not able to answer yet due to working so now I have to reschedule my appointment I didn’t have a problem going too . Also if you were to cancel you would be charged so how does this make sense ??? I don’t think I’ll be going back here.

Fantastic experience: . I haven't been to a dentist in almost 20 years and this place is amazing. Super friendly front desk, Peggy is amazing, and Dr. Murthy's dry humor is great. He's also very good with the needle! In the middle of intense scaling and a filling, 3 visits over the next month, with further work by an oral surgeon, and they have me motivated to keep coming back. That says a lot, coming from someone afraid of getting their luxury bones checked!

Negative experience: How dishonest when a business flags a bad review so the public cant see it. Wow.....they made a mistake that now extended my daughter's pain because of their improperly trained staff.....Didnt want to take responsibility for it.They also repeatedly told us in the office when we arrived they are NOT an oral surgeon, but under their website, it CLEARLY states "oral surgery". But we found someone more professional and honest to take her . Thats ok....many other sites to place the same bad reviews. Again, its all about the money.

Nothing felt rushed and they took such good care of my son. The hygienist Peggy is AMAZING!! Honestly I can't say enough good things about her. She talked my 4 year old son through the entire process and used cute nicknames for the instruments so it was less intimidating for him. It was my first time visiting but I've already scheduled my husband and myself for appointments as well! So excited to have found a place my family and I can go to that takes the dread out of going to the dentist

Negative experience: Shady billing. I went here for 8 years because the people are nice and it's close. Every time I go there I have a balance from my last visit 6 months ago. Despite having paid and presented insurance at the time. Now they hit me with a $200 bill in November, from June, and they won't bill my primary insurance which means my secondary insurance won't pay out so I have 2 full policies and they make me pay out of pocket. Front desk tells you they don't do the billing there so they don't have control and can't answer questions but they also can't give you anyone higher up to talk to. Very frustrating.
