My first visit was a full cleaning, X-rays and complete workup and the whole team did not disappoint. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing and I felt completely at ease the whole time. Fantastic experience: I live very far away from Dental Center of Westport, at the most southern part of Connecticut, but heard of its great reputation and decided to take the long trip for my first appointment with them. This is a superlative practice in every respect. The office is elegant, vibrantly designed and sparkling clean. The front-desk staff was knowledgeable, welcoming, and businesslike efficient. Carolyn, the hygienist who performed the teeth-cleaning, was thoroughly knowledgeable and did a highly focused masterful and thorough job. All tools and medical equipment were the latest state of the arts! And you can't ask for a more brilliant, highly educated, knowledgeable empathetic dentist than the world-class Dr. Romano. I live in Greenwich, where excellent dental practices abound -- but the Dental Center of Westport is next-level. I will continue to brave northbound traffic on I-95 in exchange for the privilege of receiving care from Dr. Romano and her wonderful, professional staff. Dr. S. Shalit. = = = = = Today, 4/24/2025 I hired an Uber to drive me - -- a 90 yrs. Old Geezer - - all the way from the southernmost edge of Greenwich to Westport for an overdue teeth cleaning. I was greeted so warmly by the well-known , highly intelligent, efficient and knowledgeable Dr. Romano. After the exam, I was turned over to this superb and highly efficient and methodical Hygienist Carolyn - - the very best one I've ever had. On top of all, she is naturally nice and friendly. Fantastic experience: Best dental practice imaginable. Feels like home and a spa treatment just to get my teeth cleaned. They know the in and outs of our family and help with scheduling and insurance issues before you even ask. I would say that it is a higher end practice so the kinds of fillings they use tend to be more expensive, but they also last longer. I would recommend everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists to the dentists! Minimize pain and discomfort and do their best to suggest lasting options!

Fantastic experience: Who leaves dental reviews? Who walks out of a dentist thinking, “Wow that was such a good experience, I have to write about it”? Today was that day. Had to get two fillings and it was a smooth and highly professional process from start to finish. And took all of 30 minutes. If you’re going to have someone drill into your teeth and make deep adjustments it might as well be this painless!

Fantastic experience: Another great experience via Dr. Romano yesterday, in coordination with the equally great Dr. Rhee: She corrected a long-time problem via some bonding that was so undetectable -- yet front-and-center in my smile -- that two hours later, Dr. Rhee had to ask which teeth the work was done on. Incredible!

Positive experience: I had a good experience and would go back after having a big help in getting an urgent appointment to have my wisdom tooth removed with the recommended surgeon. Everything was done in the same day in a holiday week. They also wrote me a letter to show to my employer in case it was needed. Thank you again!

They also have an excellent sense of understated, beautiful, design. Not that I go to the dentist to enjoy their stylish office, but since they ARE working on my teeth and smile, I can't help but think about the relationship between the two. Whether you are there for a cleaning or for something more in depth, don't miss the artwork; whomever is selecting and hanging/installing the artwork in their office has a true gift.

Negative experience: Just like you, dear reader, I saw the five star reviews of The Dental Center of Westport and was encouraged by the confidence and compassion reported by other patients. I was overdue for a cleaning and had some pain in my mouth, so I went to the Dental Center of Westport for a consult. The doctor looked at 4 (four) teeth and immediately told me I had deep cavities on all four teeth and might need root canal. The doctor then referred me to a root canal specialist. The next day, I go to the endodontist, who does a CT scan of the area and re x-rays the teeth. Not only do I not need root canal. I don't have a single cavity on any of the teeth the doctor at The Dental Center of Westport looked at. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. I am puzzled as to how this establishment has retained a five star rating after my experience. The people at the front desk were nice but my quality of care was quite poor.

Fantastic experience: The Dental Center of Westport is the real deal. Such a wonderful friendly office with Kathy, Corey, and Gabby as you enter they truly enjoy their jobs and it shows. The Dentists are very knowledgeable with the true health of your teeth. I had some very bad experiences with dentists where I live so now I drive 2 hours because I'm in good hands with Dr. Romano , Kayla and my Dental Hygienist Carolyn. I had severe teeth problems due to my aging health problems that I couldn't even show my smile and now with help of Dr. Romano, Kayla, and Carolyn my teeth are getting beautiful again I can finally smile again.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kogan was amazing. I had a lot of anxiety about some issues and went to see her for a consult. I heard of her through the MM community and drove 3.5 hours to see her. She was so wonderful. She carefully assessed everything that was going on with my teeth, gave me a complete overview, and answered all of my questions. She was so patient and reassuring with me. As someone with dental anxiety, she made me feel safe and calm and that everything was going to be fine - just what I needed. Thank you Dr. Kogan!

Next head through to one of several exam rooms, each filled with the latest equipment, you know that you are literally in good hands. A laid back minimalist modern decor is subtly calming. The procedures I had were a routine teeth cleaning and a small filling. The hygienist is both professional and sociable. Making quick painless work of helping to keep your gums healthy. As for the doctors, they clearly set the tone of the practice, I was in and out with a new filling in no time. But most important to me was that everyone I encounter when I’m there, are always smiling, saying hello, making a little small talk. Patient engagement goes a long way towards helping people to overcome any anxiety they may experience while visiting a dentist. I can’t say enough good things.
