Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Putman and her staff. Every other dentist I used in the past made me feel like i was on trial by the Spanish inquisition during Renaissance era. I DID NOT experience this at Dr. Putman's office. No shaming. No aggressive procedure suggestions. Her and her staff listened to my wants and needs and formulated a plan to preserve my healthy teeth, extract the ones that were causing me issues and fit me for a partial to be ready once the procedure was finished. I had three unhealthy teeth removed yesterday morning. The procedure was painless, quick, friendly and I walked out of the office with a new smile. 24 hours later and my pain is at a 0!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Putman has been my dentist for 5 years...and every time I visit to have my teeth cleaned and examined, I am treated with the utmost respect, caring and knowledge. Dr. Putman and her team take the time to provide expert advice and she is the most knowledgeable and professional dentist I have experienced in my 22 years in WNC. Update-8/23 Yesterday she replaced two very old fillings that had worn away with a new product: Brilliant Ever Glow. These two teeth are now a perfect match…luminous and blend seemlessly with my two front teeth. Dr Putman is a top of the line Cosmetic Dentist! Update-July 2025 Today I visited Dr. Pamela Putman to have her remove a very old crown, installed by my FL dentist over 30 years ago, that had cracked. She expertly removed the old crown and provided a temporary one until the new crown arrives. I complimented her on the fact that I was still numb at the end of the procedure (It did not wear off...). She promised me that it would match the rest of my teeth...which are at the top end of whiteness scale. More to follow... And it does~!~! Update June 22, 2026 Today I visited Dr Putman’s office for my regular 3X a year checkup. Kelly was my dental technician who expertly cleaned my teeth. She also passed along several tips to be more successful in maintaining the health of my mouth, teeth and gums. Then Dr. Putman came in and checked my teeth and Kelly’s work. Another great appointment with Dr. Putman and her team. I highly recommend them and would not want to go anywhere else.

While my meeting with Dr. Putman was very cordial, brief (always means everything is looking good) and I found her to be most gracious and engaging and provided what I am certain is her routine highest standard of professional care. Fantastic experience: Dr. Putman was referred to me by my regular dentist Dr. Jill Merrill whose office was closed for vacation. Dr. Putman saw me the next day even though her office was quite busy on a Monday morning. She tended to me between her own patients and resolved my problem in about an hour and and a half. I am very pleased with the result.

And also good conversation to boot, of course I can't talk while she's working on me it's mostly listening... LoL Dr.Putnam has always been good to me and my family, and is great to deal with too. All the staff is great, and I have never had a bad experience here, and have been coming here for many many years.

Negative experience: As an existing patient, I was shocked when I came to the office with a toothache and infection and the front desk told me the dentist would not see me today and the next available appointment was in 2 weeks. I guess I’ll have that toothache and infection stay on hold for two weeks while I wait for an appointment.

Negative experience: This dentist tried to cancel and reschedule, then couldnt find my x rays then decided they dont take my Care Credit Credit Card for under a $1000?!?!?!?! It seems like they will do anything to not work. My bridge is off and 2 other teeth are hurting after the hurricaine my teeth have developed rapid cavities from the water. At least I think so. The dentist office wont even see me without cash: because it would be $230 for the appointment which was not enough for them to charge my credit card. They seem lazy and uncaring. Thank goodness I found out before we got started. What if we had started, then they decided that something didnt work for them??? I dont know what kind of work they do because I wasnt even able to see the dentist. This place is terrible, especially after waiting for over a month to see them. What a waste of time. What a horrible place. I would suggest not even getting started here.

Negative experience: Very lacking and unprofessional interaction with this office. Expectations were made of me as the patient that were NOT communicated and then my appointment was canceled without adequate warning. Text messages were confusing and inadequate. Online form process is cumbersome and redundant. I expect better from my healthcare providers and will seek care elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Kelly is my dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth today. I really appreciate her thoroughly working to give me the best experience that I could expect. She was very knowledgeable, and the explanation of what she was doing was given the whole time. We discussed how I should continue to care for my teeth and gums. I will certainly return in 6 months for another cleaning. Dr. Amanda Putman is who discussed everything else about my teeth and anything that will be done as far as big procedures in the future. This, in my opinion, is a very good team. The receptionist was also very helpful with explaining my insurance options as well.

Positive experience: I look forward to seeing Dr Putman each time. I am concerned that I get a different hygenist just about each time. Furthermore, this time I felt like I was getting a lecture like I was a child or someone much younger than my senior citizen age about cleaniing my teeth. Then she had difficulty clear debris from between my teeth and she can see the debris that I couldn't even feel.
