Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at TLC Family Dentistry. From the moment I walked in everyone was extremely pleasant welcoming and professional. I was seen quickly and the entire staff was very cautious caring and intentional about making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of the whole time. I had a bad experience with another dentist up north in Kansas City not long ago. This visit was the complete opposite. The experience at TLC Family Dentistry was EXCELLENT from start to finish. Dr. Childers was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable patient and personable. His hygienists Gina and Emely were also incredible. Super kind professional and clearly knew what they were doing. They explained everything clearly and genuinely cared about my comfort. It truly does not get any better than TLC Family Dentistry. Hands down one of the best dental experiences I have ever had. If you are looking for a dentist who actually cares and takes great care of their patients I highly recommend TLC Family Dentistry.

When I went in, they were very friendly, Dr Bryce and staff were wonderful! I did not feel rushed, they were thorough and they placed a temporary crown on and got me an appointment for permanent. Fantastic experience: My recent visit to TLC Dental was, by all accounts, a most curious delight. The fair Miss Madi and Miss Jeanna did greet me as though I were some long-lost nobleman returning from the sea, and tended to my comfort with such care that I nearly forgot the fate awaiting my nutrition grinders. Presiding over this fine establishment was Doctor Thurman, a lady of sharp intellect and sharper instruments, whose steady hand and cheerful wit did make even the sound of the drill seem almost musical. I departed with my ivories clean, my spirits lifted, and my dignity—well, somewhat scattered—but I should most heartily recommend TLC Dentistry to any soul brave enough to face dentistry with laughter still in their lungs.

It did not feel anything from the shot to the end of the appointment. His assistants were great and very friendly. As well as the front desk. The office was very clean. Negative experience: Used to be a great practice that I highly recommended until approximately 4 years ago, then everything changed. The dental hygienist spent cleanings removing previous dental work instead of just tartar, leaving me with loose crowns, broken filli gs and new cavities. They had no issues trying to upsell crowns or other dental work not needed. Although most staff are friendly they don't truly care about patients any longer...it is just a business.

Fantastic experience: I went here off recommendation and let me just say that this dentist office and staff is top tier!!! As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed but the most sweetest staff. I met two hygienists, Deana and Stacey. Deana was helping my 5 year old and make him not scared! She was magical (Literally!). Seriously did so amazing with him! I would highly recommend her for any child that is nervous about the dentist! Stacey worked with me and she was so compassionate and sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I had not been to the dentist in over 10 years and honestly I am so glad I came and got to meet the most incredible and friendly staff. They answer any and every question that I have or had and simply made me feel happy to be there and choose them! I will definitely be recommending this Dentist and staff to everyone that I can! The Dentist Jamie was also super kind and didn’t make me feel like I was less simply because my teeth aren’t perfect. I love the overall experience I had.

Fantastic experience: I have visited here twice now. The first time was for a cleaning with Julie, who did the most amazing job ever. My second visit was for fillings with Dr. Childers, Emily assisting, and they were so good to me. I hate needles and Emily stood by rubbing my arms, comforting me and telling me what a great job I was doing. She even gave me a stress ball lol. Dr. Childers performed work that others wouldn't touch because they were focused on money and told me I needed far more expensive dental work, instead of focusing on what they could do to help me at the time ... however; the staff here are so honest, kind, and caring. Dr. Childers was gentle and is the best dentist ever. He perfected both mine and my son's smile! He made sure I was happy and feeling much better before I left. Thank you for everything you all do! You're making a huge difference.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Bryce for almost 2 years now and am impressed with his bedside manner and dental expertise. I had a tooth that was lose and was in pain , I emailed yesterday to see if I could get in first thing this morning . They got me in at 730 and after my exrays showed infection, Dr Bryce took the time to do it right then . They were short handed and had full schedule today but he still took care of me . Everyone in the office was helping each other and still had smiles and friendly conversations with me . This says a lot about this office , they truly work as a team to take care of clients even when their day is packed and unexpected patients are needing unexpected extractions . I will never go anywhere else . Great job TLC Dentistry !

Fantastic experience: This is the most wholesome dentistry I've been to. They don't try to sell you on unnecessary treatments. A family member of mine was using another dentistry that recommended thousands of dollars of work, and after my recommendation, she came to TLC where she was examined with an excellent bill of dental health. The staff is friendly and makes it a fun and educational experience. 100% try them out.

Fantastic experience: Updated Nov. 3, 2024 Over the last five years I have been a very satisfied customer of TLC Family Dentistry. All of the work they have done on me has been top-notch as noted in my reviews. During my appointment last week, I was told by Dr. Thurman that I am required to have another Panoramic X-Ray/Radiograph (my last one was in 2019). She told me she would not be able to keep me as a patient unless I complied before my next cleaning/exam as it is considered Standard of Care. I did not receive an Informed Consent or document highlighting Risks and Benefits, nor was I allowed to opt out. The test costs around $300. I appreciate Dr. Thurman's point-of-view and dedication to her patients to provide the best care possible. And, from a business perspective I appreciate the need to pay for such a machine. I did some research regarding the necessity of a Panoramic X-Ray. In short, the ADA, FDA, and NIH indicate it is not necessarily Standard of Care. In 2024 ADA and FDA developed recommendations for dental radiographic examinations to serve as an adjunct to the dentist's professional judgement. It states that the dentist must weigh the benefits against the risk. It goes on to state that these recommendations are intended as a resource and not intended to be Standards of Care, nor requirements or regulations. I regrettably must withdraw from being a patient. At the same time I wish the dentists and staff of TLC Family Dentistry continued success. I will miss them.
