Negative experience: They don’t open up on time , it says they open up at 7:30 but staff doesn’t show up until 8am !!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to say that comfort dental on Truman corners Grandview, Missouri is one of the best dental offices that I have visited ever I would like to say that their staff Taylor Peterson, and the dentist that worked on my mouth, Maurice What’s the best I would like to thank their staff for all the things that they had helped me with to further surgery options thank you again comfort dental, Taylor, Peterson, and Maurice. Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: I’m normally so nervous to go to the dentist but they made me feel so comfortable. Shoutout to Jenny she was nice, and made sure I was okay throughout the process! Dr. Marcus was great as well and answered all my questions

Negative experience: I'm confused on why does Google say they open at 7:30 but no one is answering the phone at 7:40 all of the other confidential answered the phone but this one

Negative experience: My dental appointments have been great, love my dentist. its the phone system thats really causing me problems here. the new AI assistant is annoying and wont do what you ask of it, and wont send me to receptionist or whoever answers the phones. i kept getting redirected to the option of choosing ortho or general dentistry every time i asked for a person i could speak to to try and schedule an appointment to fix my fillings so now i have to find a time to do a walk in.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a good experience normally Mya Bryant helps me on the orthodontist side with my braces. She does a really great job

Negative experience: I had a very long wait while the girl seemed to be trying to find a problem with my insurance company in which I told her I talked to my insurance the day before & they said all is good, it's active & I can use it for my dental work..... This front desk young girl on Friday Jan 30th, 2026 was rude to me & after spending a long time waiting I went to Comfort Dental in Raytown & they had me in & out in 30 min, absolutely zero problems with insurance......

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience at grand view comfort dental, there was a dental assistant called Valery I request her for my braces services every time, she’s the sweetest and made me feel very comfortable each visit by explaining what we will be doing next time and asking the doctor questions that I wanted to ask but I was too shy to!

Fantastic experience: I’ve already noticed a real difference in my smile. Appointments are quick, the office is clean, and they genuinely care about your progress. What I appreciate most is how they make the whole experience feel easy and stress-free, even when I had questions or needed small adjustments. Oh and I also want to say I appreciate Mya she is very nice and gets me right everytime, makes me feel better about my smile!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a good experience so far with my braces and Mya has made my experience better, with her jokes, making sure she explains what is happening at that appointment and making sure I have a smooth appointment overall!!

Negative experience: This location is closed even though the website is still booking appointments. I should have guessed when they didn't answer the phone. I showed up anyway in an emergency, since their website says they're open. Waste of time.

Fantastic experience: We've had a great experience during our 2 yr journey with Comfort Dental Braces Blue Springs office . However our last 2 visits were at Grandview location. Valerie was our dental assistant, don't know if she's from Blue Springs or Grandview. She was the best we could have asked for, She was kind , gentle and great calming effect with my daughter's removal of her braces. She left saying she's Fabulous. So 5 stars plus 5 more for Valerie!!!!!

Negative experience: I had a great experience the first two times. Dentist himself is great and understanding. The staff however need some work. I was snapped at for having anxiety and asking how many injections and was told to ask the doctor. Under her breath said "2-3," when I asked for clarification she got super offended or something and snapped "2-3" at me. Then immediately goes to numb me with gel to prep. I had a panic attack and she rolled her eyes at me and got frustrated. Must have been having a bad day honestly but don't take it out on people who are obviously just needing help with a service. Update: I went to a new dentist and half of the work I was supposed to have done at comfort dental was unnecessary and in fact the cavity was located in a completely different area. They have never reached out about the incident.

Positive experience: I had to get the 4 top middle teeth pulled. Dr. Marcus did a fantastic job. The shots did not hurt. The teeth came out with no pain. He managed to get all 4 in under 1 hour. It has been 8 hours since the extraction and I still have no pain. The staff was even friendly. Beware Gold plan though. I wanted to pay it all upfront. I thought it was, but now it's overdrawing my account.

Negative experience: I was informed by a very rude white lady, they don't except they only accept private insurance mainly. & Children through Medicaid But Thay don't work with adult Medicaid.

Negative experience: I absolutely like the Dentist and his assistant. They are great. I appreciate what they do. Now for the front desk or administration. They hardly ever answer phone calls, it's hard to get in contact with someone. So I had a dentist appointment I had just left the dentist less than 30 minutes call back because the doctor forgot to sign the prescription no big deal just would never answer the phone so I left a message they never called me back and here it is Monday they still have not called me back and their office is open until after 6:00 p.m. so as I'm typing this I decide to call one last time this morning I finally got someone really nice young lady took my information but she said that it's only one person working it's hard for her to answer all the phone calls. Well maybe they need a little help. I understand that it's just a little frustrating to get help

Fantastic experience: I am new to the office and Dr. Johnson it a breathe of fresh air! Extremely nice, calm, and listens to his patients. Makes you feel comfortable coming to the office. Is open to tall about concerns and is not passive. Would highly recommend him as a dentist!

Fantastic experience: This morning, I was very nervous about my appointment. I went to comfort dental in Grandview. The work that was done on my front tooth was amazing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Taylor explained everything to me in detail and told me if I had any questions to give her a call. I will be returning and referring family and friends. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: I paid out of pocket to be seen. They wrote me a referral to a periodontist - which I have no problems with my jaw bone - I can move past that / but today I called & tried to explain what I need & why & she was too busy to listen. I told her I needed the referral uploaded to a patient portal, she agreed. Then called me back to tell me the provider I chose doesn’t offer the service I need - I again tried to explain to her there is nothing wrong with my jaw but I have other issues & she proceeded to argue with me. Excuse you! I just needed that referral to get an appointment. Now I have to pay another dentist out of pocket to get another referral. STUPID

Fantastic experience: Dr Marcus was hands down the best. I've been terrified of the dentist and how judgemental they are but he was gentle and absolutely amazing with me. Explained everything he was going to do. I asked for a break while he was pulling my top teeth and he was completely ok with it. Hands down beat experience I've ever had with a dentist

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dental office for several years, they are efficient and accept most insurance plans.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time. Been going here since I moved to Grandview years ago. The, usual dentist isn't here anymore from what I can see. I came in here for a cleaning bit they gave me xrays, made me make an appointment first then set me back in the lobby for almost 2 hours to wait for a cleaning while they kept taking other patients in and completing their appointments. I ended up leaving, canceling my future appointment, and booking appointment with roeland Park Kansas. No apology. No nothing. Never again.

Negative experience: Why have that you close at 7:30pm on your site but when you call they say they about to close at 5pm I’ll find a new dentist. Don’t claim to do services you really don’t offer

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend, especially not the dental side. The ortho side is barely any better.

Negative experience: Do not go here. They are clearly only in it for collecting money and having fun with their work buddies. You can stand at the counter in pain and they're not even going to notice you until they're done talking. They couldn't care less about your teeth or your pain. Also, it's just filthy there. Go anywhere else!

Negative experience: We had a 8:00 appointment we were there 15 minutes early it wasn’t open yet they all strolled in around 7:50 some with coffee if you have time to stop for coffee you should be on time

Fantastic experience: This office & the entire staff was amazing. I traveled from Colorado with a brand new set of dentures. Unable to make it back to my home dentist office for a few months. I cold called them and the receptionist was a rock star. They got me in that day and Dr. J got my dentures trimmed up and fitting better.

Negative experience: This place is a fraud they will be out to use up all your dental services that's covered through your insurance without even helping you with getting your teeth fixed. They filed a claim to my insurance for a 2nd service I did not need! Just to get paid. I'm reporting them for fraud and reached out to my insurance to help get my service claim back to go to a new dental clinic. The doctor here do not care about people being in pain or anything. Little think everything is a game people be crying in this office just to be told take antibiotics and Tylenol.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Johnson was the best I have ever had at a dental office. He made me feel at ease. He explained everything he was doing . He has excellent manners, kind, very polite. This is something senior patients like myself really appreciate. The staff was also very pleasant. I came home and told my family as well as my friends how pleased I was. And my teeth were beautiful.

Fantastic experience: Dr Johnson is one of the kindest, funny and knowledgeable dentists I have ever been too. He's never too busy to see you, even if he is busy. Great personality and he does an excellent job of cleaning teeth. He's even painless if he needs to pull a tooth. Speaking from experience. He's the best. I won't go anywhere else

Negative experience: My appointment had to be rescheduled 3 weeks because it could not be done without my dentist there then the dentist didn't even see me. After I left I called with an issue was told he was in a meeting and would call me back they never even passed on the message. Once they have your money they don't care

Fantastic experience: Love Dr. J! I drive miles to see "my" dentist after moving out of the greater KC area. The Assistant/Tech showed great patience and professionalism with this old lady that suffers from a chronic pain condition. The fact that you can walk-in with an emergency is amazing! I have plenty of good things I can say.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my 13 year old daughter to the braces side of this office for over a year now. They have been great on that side, and one person there told us, after I talked about an issue with her current dental office, that it is better to get her 6 month cleaning while the bar and bands were out of her braces, and that this could be done easily if I wanted to take her to their dentists and scheduled both appointments back to back. So easy! So we finally had her first appointment on the dental side. The dentist (Dr. Markus?) and the woman working on my daughter were so nice, informative, and gave great instructions. They kept checking in to make sure my daughter was comfortable and never seemed like they were in a rush. They worked with the braces side seamlessly so everything went perfect. Best of all, they gave my daughter a better cleaning than the previous place I took her did.

Fantastic experience: This a great place to come to if you have any dental issues. Making and appointment was quick and easy. The dentist talked me through what needed to be done and how we can best go about it. I have been here for three visits and each time the dentist and and the assistants (Christina) have been wonderful. They have a cheery disposition and make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

I arrive to the location only to be told my form of insurance was not taken. information that could have been given prior to my arrival they then try to upsell me by asking me to pay to be seen not for Cleaning not for x-rays but just to see the dentist. Negative experience: Called them on Saturday morning due to being in horrible pain. Lady on the phone said I could come in as a walk in between 8-11 am. I arrived around 9:45 am. Gave the lady at the desk my id/insurance card. She had me fill out paperwork & I returned it to her. Got a text on my phone minutes later stating my appointment was at 10am. I understand people with appointments would probably go before me which is fine. It’s around noon at this point & I had been waiting for around 2 hours. At this point most of the staff had left. I was the only one in the waiting room. Everyone with appointments had came & went. I was crying due to being in pain & the only lady left in the office peeked out & asked me if I was waiting for a ride. I said no I was a walk in & she said nobody checked you in? I said I assumed she did she took all my paperwork. She then asks me what the lady looked like. I just kinda sat there shocked & she said was it the white lady. I said yea. She asked for my name. Then said ok you can come back so sorry about that. Got back with dr johnson & only knew his name from looking at the script he wrote me after I left. No one was back there due to everyone leaving. I think they realized they messed up so just trying to get me in & out quickly. I was so embarrassed. He took an xray & asked which tooth was causing pain. After I explained it was a tooth I had a previous root canal done on his recommendation was to go back to the place who did the root canal or he could refer me to a specialist. Wrote me a script & sent me on my way. I was probably back there maybe 20 mins. I have never had this experience at any dental office I’ve been to. Mind you the entire time I sat there the women in the office were loud, telling each other to shut up, asking the dr what would he do if a walk in came in at 12:30 would he see them or not. When he said he would one girl said of course you would. The original lady who took my paperwork & I guess never checked me in was yelling out peoples balances, going over fees loudly. I’m thinking why wouldn’t she call them back to her & discuss things quietly vs yelling it for people in the waiting room to hear. She was also vaping the entire time I sat there. I was shocked. I will take dr Johnson’s recommendation & go elsewhere.

They were able to extract a tooth that has been causing me horrendous pain and they were able to alleviate all of that in an hour! Fantastic experience: First of all they was Curtis professional with state-of-the-art equipment. Then they have great hours including weekends! With the additional benefit that even though they are minority on they are represented by a wide variety of colors and races.

Positive experience: I was given the name of this dental office along with several through my insurance. I really only chose it due to its close proximity to where I reside. I was, however, later and pleasantly surprised by the compassion of Dr. Marcus. My first filling was actually pain free. I could not believe it! I even shared with my family about my new dentist. Positive experience: Not a horrible experience but not an amazing one. Just an average check up. Assistant didn’t really talk to me. She was more interested in conversation with other coworkers, and cleaning wasn’t very detailed as I have gotten in the past at this location. But everyone was nice enough.

Dr. Marcus Ramos-Pearson was so helpful and kind. He did his very best explaining what I needed done and my treatment options. The dental hygienist also took the best x-rays I have ever had taken. He made another appointment for me even though he was booked the whole week. Just phenomenal service. This is to the dental assistant as well. Negative experience: Horrible experience. I went for my initial visit waited 45 mins to be seen and was told that I was going to need fillings, which was fine because my insurance was going to cover it. When I went back to get the work done I had to again wait an extremely long time to be seen for my scheduled appointment. When I was finally seen the dentist told me he’s doing a root canal (which was never discussed). I told him my insurance wouldn’t cover that and I couldn’t afford it so I will just do the fillings. He then told me that I would just have to pay out of pocket. I again told him I couldn’t and just wanted to get the work my insurance is going to pay for. He then removed his bib and told me if I’m not going to do the root canal he’s not working with me and he feels uncomfortable and I can go to another doctor. I said ok and that’s why I never went back. You can’t force someone to have money for something that you’re telling them about last minute. Victor Hwang was very rude and has a disgusting attitude and I hate to say it but borderline racist. It’s shocking that he is even in this field of work. Maybe he should try working somewhere that doesn’t accept insurance, or maybe he should of made higher marks in school and he wouldn’t be stuck working for the middle class.

Positive experience: I waited 30 min to get to the back and the cleaning felt like 5 minutes just didn’t think my teeth were clean good no flossing no cleaning on the out side just felt like a regular tooth brush I could have done at home

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible experience. Made a 9am appointment waited over an HOUR before I was even seen. Sat in the chair while multiple people walked back and forth tons of people in the lobby and no patients in chairs, people asking who was going to take who. Finally someone was able to assist me started applying composite only to tell me that they could not complete the service because I needed a retainer when the entire point of my visit was due to the fact that my retainer had cracked and broke. No one over the phone clearly made notes in my file, no one relayed any details. I sat there with wires cemented to my mouth only for her to have to rip them out and reschedule me after 3 hours of completely wasting my time because everyone is running around laughing and joking on their phones and not documenting when they should be. Of course they took my money up front now I have to wait a week for a refund and another week to be seen. Comfort dental braces do better!
