Negative experience: DONT BOOK!!! They allow booking under 1st advantage and are listed as in network under name and address, then after wasting your time, spring it on you ….. they aren’t really in network and take 3 insurances that aren’t even the largest network. What a scam and waste!!!!!!!

I really appreciated the dental assistant and dentist taking the time to explain what to expect with each step and the use of some high tech tools that I was not familiar with. No pain.

I received new patient forms via email and text reminder. I really appreciate their organization, quick response and follow through. It’s an easy to access location and quiet and clean space. They were informative as well as the dental provider. He was very welcoming and clear direction. My son felt comfortable here and they appear to care.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the office is very kind, professional, and I’m always in and out without waiting. Dr. Thomas is very nice and easy going. I had a cleaning, got a couple of cavities from when I was a child redone and fitted for a mouth guard for teeth clenching and have no complaints. Each time I’ve gone the office was clean, they followed covid regulations (at the time) and there was no charge thanks to my insurance and the office calling to make sure the mouth guard was covered. I have recommended this Dentist to others at my office that are looking for a dentist that takes our insurance for the New Year.

Negative experience: **Your callous response in making fun of a person who had a panic attack in your office perfectly proves my point as to why someone who has high dental anxiety should not visit your office. Perhaps you believe that people who are nervous about dental work are the same as people with dental office anxiety. Do your research and develop some empathy.** If I could give zero stars to this office I would. After waiting for a month for a new patient appointment, I was called the day before saying that my appointment needed to be changed. It was my same day so I said fine. Upon arrival, after waiting 15 minutes past the new scheduled time,I was informed that I would get X-rays and a brief oral exam. The cleaning would take place at another time. I do have severe anxiety about the dentist office and I was very upfront about that with staff. Because I became upset, the tech went and got the business manager to come and speak down at me because I was displaying high anxiety. Needless to say, the callous treatment I received during this appointment led me to leave without any services performed. If you have any anxiety about dental work, this is not the office that will take care of you.

Fantastic experience: This practice was referred to me by my dental insurance after experiencing a toothache. They contacted me with an appointment available, sooner than expected. For my first dental visit in a long time, it was a great experience. Amber greeted me with a smile & helped me with the forms. I met Alyssa, one of the hygienists, who made me feel comfortable as I was getting all the x-rays completed. I was quite nervous, so her patience and understanding helped! Dr. Thomas was wonderful, explaining what my treatment plan would be. He even gave me a referral for an endodontist. The front desk guided me with the next steps and even scheduled a cleaning. From beginning to end, I gained more knowledge about my oral health! I look forward to my next visit!

The receptionist was super friendly and the doctor in addition to all of his staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming. We plan to stick with this practice going forward.

Negative experience: It completely baffles me how this office has so many five star reviews. When I arrived at this office as a new patient, Dr. Thomas told me I needed multiple cavities filled. Additionally, the amount of dental work I was told that I needed changed between conversations, which was concerning. After switching to another dental office that I trust, I had no cavities or other dental issues. I also spoke to Dr. Thomas about a small cosmetic repair on one tooth and he quoted me a truly ridiculous amount and additionally tried to upsell me a very expensive tooth whitening treatment. My new dentist quoted me less than a quarter of that price and told me that the color of my teeth was great and whitening was unnecessary. Needless to say, my entire experience with western dental was troubling to me.

Negative experience: I have been going here for about a year and now I’m finally going elsewhere. Last visit was the last straw for me. The office sends out a message after a visit asking for 5 star reviews and to please call if there’s an issue. that explains why there’s a heavy high rating bias. Ever since Emmie left as receptionist the practice has gone downhill. I’ve had a different hygienist every time I’ve come here. My last appointment the doctor wasn’t in (the hygienist said “Did they not tell you that?”) so he allegedly was going to look at my x rays at a later date. Why go to the dentist if he’s not there Additionally, since Emmie left, the receptionists are new every time I go. My cleaning last year I believe the new receptionist charged me like $80 even though I had insurance and I had to be refunded. My last visit, the form they had me fill out was absolutely riddled with poor grammar and incorrect spelling. Doesn’t make a patient feel like their medical information is being handled with care. One last thing, there is basically NO patient privacy during cleanings. The office is set up so you can see other patients while in the dental chair. There is no door and no curtain. That cannot possibly be sanitary In sum, do NOT come here. There are more professional dentists elsewhere. I waited to post this review until after being accepted as a patient at another practice. Update: 4/11/24 Dr. Thomas called me and asked me to take the review down! Unbelievable! I repeat, do NOT go here!

Negative experience: They sent me an extra charge paper by mail, not ann invoice nor any explanation on it, after a whole year, claiming that insurance didn’t pay what was predicted by their own staff and I agreed upon before the service and paid my share fully same day so deal was closed on my side. Now after a whole year, Why would you not inform me about the payment I made for the service is subject to change, and why would you wait to send me a mail today without any explanation from 3/2023 service date. Doctor told me they will send me to collections for 84$ difference insurance didn’t pay, well If you told me beforehand or in timely manner that there was a problem with my insurance then I would take care of it. You coming to me like this looks not professional at all..! Don’t try to charge me a year later I don’t recommend this place at all..!

Fantastic experience: 1st appt yesterday (1/25/24). Check in was pleasant. X-ray tech extremely polite and thoughtful. Dentist was pretty standard. Nothing really stood out, (yet). Next appt is in February for a crown so will know more on him....Hygiene person seemed very nice, will know more in March. Place was clean. Lots of good magazines in the waiting area. Overall, a solid experience.

Negative experience: I went here and was told by the dentist I had 9 cavities, all of equal severity and would need to have them all filled ASAP. Without dental insurance this would cost me thousands of dollars. I got a second opinion from another dentist I’ve seen before who told me I had 1 cavity, and that the other 8 spots this dentist indicated were beginning signs of decay that could heal on their own or were just surface stains. While the dentist and his staff were all very kind and tried to help me price out fillings with them, it turns out I didn’t even need them. EDIT: I’d also like to add that it has been 3 years and I have not in that time been told I have any more cavities nor have I had any issues with any of my teeth.
